[If few would overhear]"As always, the Gavel wants to thank you for the 'help' you've given over the past few days. In return, he extends a warning, that a delegation from Almas arrives soon."
He pauses for affect, then in a hushed whisper, warns "Make certain all of your affairs are in order."
[If many will overhear] Timothy inclines his head towards the others "The Gavel, of course, thanks you for your help over the past days. However, he wishes to discuss a manner with you. In another room, perhaps? I can outline the details there."

If I remember correctly, I was going to deliver the message to Bloodeye to move his wares. So, I'll be looking for someone who might be able to get me to speak with her.
Timothy quickly inserts himself with the men he knows. "Who's the new girl?" he asks casually, nodding to the young dancer.
He quickly scans the room for anything unusual, and does his best to read the attitude of the guys.

He'll wait for nightfall, towards the busy hours, and head over to the Rogue Lady. He'll sit and make small talk with the patrons, some of which he's used for contacts, before finding anyone he knows might work for Bloodeye.

Then, as nonchalantly as possible, almost casually, he asks "Why don't you let me talk to Bloodeye? If he tries anything, well, I can remind him a thing or two about myself."

Timothy speeds up as well, his pace quickly catching up to the halfling's. So I assume, 30 ft movement vs 20 ft movement, but let me know if I'm wrong.
Once he gets close, he speaks calmly "Oh, come now, Vamros. There's no need to rush off. To think, I came here to do you a favor!" He puts a lilt of exasperation into his voice near the end, for flavor, but also to give a fraction of control into the nervous halfling's shaking hands.

Timothy:
Timothy keeps his expression neutral, as Kreed talks. A delegation from Almas sounds promising, as does his recent mix-up with Kreed's threats; as long as he can make certain none of the blame comes down on him. That's important.
He'll have to pass on information to that Naomi girl, somehow- and not through Tock, because that is much too risky, at this point. In fact, he very seriously considers outing Tock right there, but figures Kreed wouldn't care too much about the details, as long as the results were clear- that, and Timothy has serious concerns for Tock's health if he carried out his desire.
Instead, he waits patiently for Kreed to finish, and, as everyone departs, he instead follows Vamros Harg, the Magistrate. Once he's gone off a little bit, he'll nod to the Magistrate, and approach.
"Good day to you, Magistrate," he says, cordially. "I missed saying hello back there."
That's all I got for tonight. Sorry, guys. Definetly not at my best thinking level, here. I'll be more thorough tomorrow.

[spoiler=Timothy]Timothy ignores Tock's statements. Best not to be seen too much conversing together.
Timothy takes note of everything in the Gavel's manor, carefully noting the passages needed to get into this room. It's mostly out of habit than anything else; you never know when you might need to make a quick escape. What does interest Timothy, however, is Kreed's reason for summoning them. So he uses his senses to try and see what's going on.

Timothy laughs at Laurel Gebre's words. "I'm almost certain of it," he remarks, before adding, "Word on the street is, they took down the taztlwyrm that's been hurting the loggers. If they can do that again, we'll have rid ourselves of two worms!" He laughs a bit more, amicably, before turning serious again.
"I'd appreciate it if you'd put in a good word with the Sheriff for me, Miss Gebre." he asks, and then stops.
After a silence, he politely asks "Well, is there anything I can do for you, Miss Gebre?"
----------------------------------------------
Timothy watches, and waits till everyone has entered the manor, then quietly slips in.
He's surprised that Tock has arrived; he'd thought he'd made it clear to the man that working with Kreed was no longer an option for him. In fact, he'd made to out the man to Kreed even before receiving the summons, hoping to force Tock to help the newcomers while simultaneously isolating Kreed; but something holds him back from that. Now, today, he's not so certain. Instead, he resolves to keep a close eye on the man as Kreed begins his meeting.

He looks down, and breathes in, before continuing "But, you've heard of the group that stood up to Kreed? In front of your shop, here? Well, word is, they're still doing good, standing up to him. Things are changing around here. For the better. Do you believe that?"
"In fact, I'm going to sign up to help Sheriff Deldrin patrol this town. Work for the good of people, and I'm sure I won't be the only one. This way, he won't be the only one enforcing the law around here."

Timothy:
As Timothy walks away from the group, he hums a soft tune to himself
He briefly considers going to Kreed with information about Tock, but what would that accomplish? Sure, it was his job, but if anything, it would just get Tock in hot water while doing nothing for Timothy himself- reporting Tock's betrayal wouldn't outweigh the fact Timothy had yet to get the troublemakers to fall. Maybe he could push for Tock to lose his bar, which would incite a lot of anger towards Kreed, but did that outweigh Tock's value as an information gatherer? Timothy wasn't certain. Besides, there was no guarantee Kreed would go for it, and Timothy wasn't about to suggest such a course of action unless he knew it's success.
Instead, he unconsciously begins heading towards the Roots and Remedies, plans formulating in his head endless debates, pro- and counter- arguments, until he arrives there, outside the window where he had first climbed in. He stops, ponders this for a minute, then remembers that she had stood up to Pay Day- best make certain no repercussions have come against her. He walks around and knocks on the door.

Not certain if Timothy gets a voice here, but see if ya'll can't get the people behind you. Give them a chance, and that way, the citizens see ya'll actually care, instead of killing. Isn't that what Kreed does to people he doesn't like? The citizenry seems more likely to appreciate ya'll if they know even if they might disagree they won't necessarily get killed.

Timothy steps out, and intercepts Tock. He levels his rapier at the man.
"Turn around, Tock," he whispers under his breath. "For the friendship we once had, turn around."
He nods to Wulf, Naomi, et. al. "They're your only hope now. With what happened here, and we both know Kreed doesn't take failure well." His eyes harden. "Especially when you caused the failure."
He calls out to the group. "My suggestion would be to keep this one alive. He'll be useful to you." He quickly adds "If you can trust him, that is."
He then smiles and nods to himself. "I'm beginning to enjoy this game."
He calls out again "I'll enjoy hunting you all down," and then begins to walk away, down the path, at his normal brisk pace.

That's exactly how I was after Milara died, isn't it? Timothy thinks to himself.
"You're one of the main sources of information around here, Tock," he says. "For me, and for Kreed. So, the next time you hear anything- and I mean anything- you're going to come to me with it. Not Kreed. To me. Is that clear?" He glares at the man, before continuing.
"Second- the men who are going to be trailing Old Wulf and the rest up to the taztlwyrm. I want you to invite them for drinks before they go out. Give 'em something, anything, on the house if you have to- whatever you can do. If they get hammered, the better."

I don't know if this is forgotten, or not, but Timothy did give you all his name. Go back to third page, and you'll see. The rest, well, possibly true.
Timothy starts in shock, first from the attack the small human gives, then from the admittance that Ergin Tock already told the group they'd be followed.
So, Ergin Tock's turned coats. Well, Kreed will be interested in knowing this, he thinks to himself. If I decide to tell him.
He then lays into the girl. "You don't know what you're getting into! You think you're the first to try and 'liberate' this town? The Consortium has more power than you'll ever know, girl, and they don't mess around. You survive this; well, they'll send in a group of sniffers to come in, take you out. Powerful mages, to rip you, and anyone else they don't like, ripped to shreds. You want to help these people? You don't even get it! We're expendable- all expendable- and if the Consortium wants to kill everyone in this town, and hire all new people, well, they won't lack for applicants, let me tell you. I hide in the shadows; well, let me tell you, that's the best way to make difference here. Do just enough to not get noticed, not piss off the guys at the top- that's how you make difference, girl, not that you'll live long enough to understand that."
He takes a breath. "There are no sides here. Just people, trying to survive. You want my help- I'll give it to you. But I'm not going to get myself killed, or anyone else killed, to do it."
He pauses, and swallows a sob as a sad thought overwhelms him. "If you're still alive tomorrow- seek me out at 1109 Wilderness. Ask- ask about Milara. You'll see how Kreed treats those who speak out against him."
He then turns away from Naomi, and heads back out into the night.
he furious, angry, torn up- and he's walking, walking with purpose, to the one place he thinks might stop that naive young girl from being killed, the one place he thinks he can do any good, be of help, as she claims. He's rapidly hatching a plan, not a good plan, but a plan nonetheless.
He arrives back at Ergin Tock's bar. He walks right up to Tock himself, ignoring all the social norms this breaks, and whispers directly into his ear "Tell your assistant to take over. Meet me in the back, right now. We're going to talk; unless, of course, you'd prefer me to talk to Kreed first."

Hey, my day- long procrastination paid off!
Timothy spends the rest of the next hour hiding out, watching unseen from the back alley behind the Goose 'n' Gander. Mostly, he sits in silence, but on occasion, his thoughts drift to Milara and others of the cult. As such, he's pretty decidedly morose, and as the hour draws near, he begins contemplating returning home to a stiff drink.
Instead, almost as he begins to stand up, he spies her. Incredible timing, that. Saying a prayer to his god, he waits for her to walk by, then quietly calls her name.
"Naomi."
He beckons down the alleyway, removing the hood of his jacket just enough for her to know who it is.

Ironically, they're heading to the same place. Timothy will take a more circuitous route, as to avoid Naomi et al, but will arrive relatively shortly after they do.
Instead of heading towards Ben, however, Timothy will frequent his normal "friends," or all the town locals with gossip to spread. He's looking for two things; any and all news of this dragon that Naomi spoke of earlier, and to see how far the news of the stand at Laurel's has gone.

Just took a guess based on the listed price, but not knowing if you've adjusted for inflation or the like, if that's the correct price (26 sails), Timothy will try to talk him down a hair.
Once he's finished haggling for the paper, he'll head down to the lumber yard, figuring there's always a few people willing to talk about the shift and various news. He'll poke around, ask about the dragon that savaged Ben, see what the local gossip is around there.

At the late night, about as late as one possibly can and still be considered work hours, Timothy comes to the Goose and Gander, looking for "supplies,".
He'll peruse the store for a while, before moving to the man at the front.
He walks to the counter. "I'm sorry, sir, I'm looking for a pen and some paper, maybe a notebook, if available. Think I could trouble you for some, if you have any?" he asks politely.

I had asked a question in the discussion, don't know what if it got missed. Assuming the Goose and Gander is open relatively late (for some reason, I got Jak-a-Napes and Goose and Gander confused), he'll go in and ask for Naomi. If it closes early, at like 6 or so, he'll probably just ignore it and wake up.

Just checking in so ya'll know I'm still here, and checking each post religiously, even if my character's a bit out of it right now- approximately what time is it when Ergin enters, DM?

Timothy just shakes his head. "I shouldn't be seen with you- ah, where can I meet you?"
Admittedly, that was a lot of fun- truly, Timothy didn't intend to get as angry as he did- just seemed like the type of thing that might set him off a little.
Once he gets an answer, cue the whole thing where he heads home and the conversation with himself.

"There is no solution, you silly girl," he whispers. "Come upstairs, or don't. Either way, you can't go flashing that thing around as you like. Don't you know the Consortium employs people to root out people like you? Go home, you naive girl. Before you get yourself killed, go home."

Timothy has no idea what that symbol means (Sadness, I intended to put ranks in Knowledge Religion but ran out of skill points!), but he gets the gist of what the woman intends.
Halfway to the door, he instead changes course, spins on his heel, and walks over to Naomi, grabbing her arm. His face is serious, and he's visibly upset in a way that contrasts the normally smiling man's features. Eyes are like stones, and his posture is stiff, uneven.
"Upstairs. Now."

You may have just struck a nerve there.... just a little. It's ok, Timothy's clearly not scary!

Timothy about loses it when the small female working the counter asks him a question no one has ever asked before. "Sweets" he says, still biting back a laugh, "if you need my help, you've gotten into serious trouble. Hope you don't ever find yourself in that place."

Question, DM- where does Timothy live? He's a Constortium employee, so I assume he has somewhere to stay Our characters are homeless, oh no!, but I definetly didn't spend the 1,290gp needed to buy a house with my Lvl 1 starting GP, so I leave the decision to you.

Timothy does his best to help Miss Gebre, grabbing things that she needs and assessing basic symptoms before relaying that to the good doctor, as well as handling the sales with Naomi- but when he sees others beginning to step in and help, he finds an opportune time to slip away. Doesn't pay to be more visible than is necessary, and by the looks of it, she's got plenty of help. So he darts off at the first opportunity.
"Got to run," he quickly tells Naomi just assuming you'd be the closest by, it's really whoever might be the closest volunteer, before heading out the door with the line of people.
He quickly heads his house Does he have a house?. As he does, he takes the long way home, stopping by the Corinth household as he does so. [i]Well, Milara, I'm trying. Did something stupid today, and it paid off. Don't know how much good it'll do- the Sheriff might have run off Pay Day, but I doubt that's going to last, and will probably provoke something worse- but we did it. People are being saved! That's progress, right? Well, goodnight- till tomorrow, we'll have work soon, I bet.[/ooc]"
And with that, he finishes his walk home.

Timothy looks to Miss Gebre, and kindly offers "Would you mind some assistance in helping distribute this cure? With Pay Day gone, it seems I've troubled you for no reason."
He gives her his best charming and apologetic smile.
