I agree, with both of them, the wedding is a good stopping point and while I'd like a bit of a wrap up to conclude the story I don't want to force you to do it if you're not into it any more, the quality just wouldn't be as good. I appreciate you pushing past your comfort zone to keep going further into the campaign than you cared to and for including us all in it.

Would you be up to doing something of a recap of what happens to give it some closure?

Action 2
Tillia chose an imaginary masterpiece for her own dress, it was daring, it was revealing, and yet it remained tasteful and subdued enough that she didn't outshine the bride. Bedecked in her violet outfit Tillia took her place as the maid of honor with delight, it was her first wedding after all, and she was proud to be chosen. Her gaze was definitely drawn by Ves, the insectile woman intriguing in her slightly alien appearance.

Action 3
When Noravia made her appearance Tillia thought she would cry at first. it was a beautiful sight and she took the roses when they were handed to her. She was so caught up in the emotions that she didn't remember much of the ceremony.

When the reception began Tillia found it a wonderful affair. The Rivozair wedding cake was a great touch she thought and she couldn't wait to eat a piece. As things continued she eventually made her way to Ves and Jillia and said, "Lovely isn't it?"

Action 2
Tillia listened to the wedding plans with interest, Caleb was quite the creative one it seemed, and then she smiled in delight at Jillia's reaction. She laughed at the other woman's words and said, "Yes Jillia, a dress," Tillia smiled mischeviously as she continued, "A big frilly one with lots of lace, stitching, and a corset!"

We’ve been through so much together, both good and bad. I can’t imagine anyone else being there for me.” Noravia couldn’t stop smiling. ”Besides, someone needs to help make me look presentable.”

Tillia pulled Noravia into an embrace and said, "I'd be happy to Noravia!" She released the embrace an stepped back, "So, how quickly do we need to be ready?"

Action 1
Tillia wasn't going to be involved in murdering Marquel's father, the risks were too high, nor could they blackmail him themselves. She had a glimmer of an idea though as to what they might be able to do and said, "Before we do anything we can't undo let me contact the Queen of Delights and see if she has any ideas. She's devious enough to likely be able to come up with a solution." She looked to Marquel, "If your father were to be lured away from the city who would be in charge of his affairs while he was gone. Would it be you or someone else? If he is going to be away when the vote is called for wouldn't it naturally fall to you as his heir to make the decision on his behalf?"

Caleb wrote:
"I have some ideas on how to make life there... uncomfortable. Tillia; if I could get you mental contact with some of the guards, do you think you could enspell them?" Caleb asked.

Tillia considered teh question Caleb propsed thoughtfully. She wasn't quite sure what was going through his head but she sais, "I think I would need to get closer than just a mental connection but yes, I could likely enspell them in one manor or another."

Action 2
Tillia listened as they discussed what to do about Marquel's father. The man was being recalcitrant and stubborn and she couldn't say that he was entirely wrong. That murdering or blackmailing him was still on the table was a shock to her and she stood up as they discussed it again and said, "Look," she smacked her palms on the table, "We need to take these murder and blackmail ideas and throw them in the trash. We can't do either of those and make the clause of the contract stick." She glared at each of them in turn, "We can not resort to what Thrune would, if we do we've become no better than them. Even worse we will sacrifice the hope of the city for freedom." She was breathing heavily as she continued, "We need to convince him to side with us and that will likely require some kind of big victory. Particularly after this whole mess with Rivozair. We barely got out of that one alive and I don't think any spinning of the story is gonna make people really believe otherwise."

Tillia sat down then and said, "Marquel, is there anything, anything at all, that will get your dad to side with us? We have to do this by the book if we want it to work because you all know that Thrune will unearth the truth and then our hopes for freedom are gone."

Tillia listened intently to Rizolla speak as the woman came clean. She was frankly appalled by some of the woman's actions and was concerned about the fallout. That the base could be compromised was concerning but she hoped Rizolla was right and the secret was still safe. She considered what the woman said about the dragon being devil-bound and wanting her should back before the dragon died. She knew that it might be selfish on Rizolla's part but she couldn't exactly fault some of the reasoning either. She figured Hell getting a dragon's soul would be a rather bad thing after all.

Is it likely that Rizolla could approach the dragon, given their bond, safely once it's calmed down given their connection?

Tillia was relieved to be back on dry land and listened intently as Rizolla spoke. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she caught on that the sorceress knew more than she was telling, a lot more, and that she may well have known a number of things she didn't say that nearly got them killed. Still, at least she came to help at the end and that was enough to buy the sorceress a reprieve...for now. Looking at her friends Tillia said, "I agree, we'd better get out of here before the Dottari show up, I'm sure they're on the way."

Tillia wasn't about to get involved in this fight again. There was no way she could survive it if she did. Instead she stayed out of sight and hoped the others were alright. She made her way further under the bridge for safety and waited to find out what had happened.

Tillia felt fear when the dragon seemed to know exactly where she was and snapped it's jaws at her but she quickly dodge, using the fact it still couldn't see her to save her life and made for the water as it snapped on thin air. Having reached the edge she dove off, entering the water and trying to get beneath the bridge to hide from the monstrous creature.

Tillia was shocked that the dragon retained enough intelligence to understand that she had a cast a spell that created the pit beneath the devil and so was caught completely off guard when it breathed hellfire on her. She screamed out in pain and agony as the flames seared her body and knew she needed to get out of there now. Unfortunately she also knew that she had to try and disappear first so the thing wouldn't attack her when she fled. She pushed her mind through the agonizing pain and and chanted as she gestured then disappeared without a trace before moving away from the dragon.

Realizing that Eiric needed help to get Noravia away from the devil safely she began to gesture as she held a miniature shovel in her hand. When she was finished a pit lined with spikes opened beneath the devil's feet as she tried to drop him into it. She called out to Rizolla, "If you want her soul back you need to force it to submit, weaken it! I don't think this one was summoned, I think it came through a gate of some kind to get here, if it dies here it dies for good! Use that!"
I cast spiked pit beneath the devil's feet DC 19 ref avoids it.
If the devil falls in.
The devil, weakened enough to have it's reaction time slowed down, suddenly felt the ground fall out from beneath him and had an instant before he fell down into the newly created pit below his feet. The spikes tore at him as he fell and he hit the bottom with a resounding thud.

Tillia realized that things were suddenly very unpleasant for her. The cloud of fog blocked her view of the devil and she was all alone with the dragon and only Caleb to help her. This wasn't good and she knew it. It was then that Caleb's spell went off on the dragon and she saw it had some kind of effect as the creature just stood there dumbly.

She realized what had happened and felt elated at the results. The dragon was out of the fight and only the devil remained. Unfortunately there wasn't much she could do because she couldn't see the hellish thing to affect it. She focused and made a slight gesture that dismissed her fouls smelling cloud and saw in horror that Jillian was down yet again but was helpless to do anything about it for now.

Tillia cursed as her magic failed to take hold on the devil. She knew it might well resist her efforts but she had still hoped it would work. She saw Noravia bathed in light then, no longer dead but not in the best of shape, and fly into the air to carry on the fight. She felt hope that they would succeed only to have it dashed when Jillian fell tot he devil after trading off with Eirik.

Tillia felt her hope fade again, this was going very badly and she knew they couldn't take much more. She was worried that hey would have to flee, or at least those who could would have to, but knew that she had one more useful spell left. Focusing her mind Tillia chanted and gestured and in the area around the devil and the dragon a great pall of noxious smelling smoke appeared before she pulled back to the pier to get out of sight of the dragon.

Tillia saw how badly this fight was going at the moment and knew something had to be done to turn the tide in their favor. She focused on the devil as she moved up and began to chant, her magic reaching out as she pulled out the needed materials. Her magic began to wrap itself around the devil's mind and tried to sink into it, influencing it's thoughts, as she said, "The dragon is about to betray you, she has been using you and knows you will soon die. Knowing the dragon needed to be slowed down Tillia moved to where she could see it and cast a spell. She saw Noravia's unmoving body on the ground and tried not to let it affect her for now. Tillia heard the dragon breathe once more and moved up to see what had happened. It was then that she saw Noravia, the woman was unmoving on the ground and burning and she felt rage. She looked at where the dragon was and spotted both it and teh devil. She chanted and gestured then the glittering pall of dust she'd been saving burst in the area where the dragon and the devil were. It was about then that she saw the devil appear on the dragon's back and swore as she realized this had just gotten more complicated. Tillia bode her time, her spell still ready, and watched for the dragon to come into attack range so she could dust it. When she heard the taunting and saw Jillian begin to fly at the thing she felt worry, she only hoped this wasn't another part of the dragon's trickery.

Tillia was startled at the sudden attack by the dragon. She knew it was going to attack hard and fast, and likely from the air, but the fact it breathed fire and not electricity like they expected was a terrible surprise. She watched with horror as the flames enveloped Eirik and Noravia. She could only hope they were alive when it was done. Readying herself Tillia watched for the dragon to return with a spell ready.

Action 2
Tillia took her seat in the opera house anxious to hear what Caleb and Shensen would sound like. She had a general idea of how the song should be from having heard the tune but this would be the first time she had ever heard both of them together. When they began to sing Tillia found herself spellbound by the music and could only wonder what it would sound like with a full orchestra to back it up. She suspected that it would be tremendously powerful then if the current version was any indication. When it was finished she found herself knowing that, live or die, they would take the dragon down.

Action 3
Tillia wasn't as worried about the preparations as the others had been, most of her magics were readily available and she felt little need to cast any further protections than she already had. She did pick up a few healing potions and a couple of scrolls for energy resistance, though she saved them in case this thing had some surprise in store for them. That devil mark they'd heard of concerned her greatly and she wanted to be prepared for what it might dish out.

I intend to take two cure serious potions, a cure moderate, and two scrolls of resist energy, one electricity that I'll use before hand and one communal version that will be saved for during the fight if it's needed. total cost of 2750 gp if we have the funds for it, I'll add some of my own to the mix if needed.

Action 3
"I may be able to trap her even if she i on the bridge. I can create a couple of walls of ice on either side of it then try to trap her from there. It wouldn't be as effective as using buildings for anchors, I'm not even sure the webs will stick to the ice, but it might work," Tillia said. "As for mind controlling her I doubt we can pull that off but it's worth a try. I agree we need to have a plan in case it doesn't work and I'm not worried about her going invisible as I plan to try and hit with that sparkling dust to both blind her and keep her from using invisibility while the spell lasts as quickly as I can."

Tillia considered the problems this fight involved, they were unique and very problematic, but there had to be a way to win this. "What we need is a way to change the battlefield. If we can lure her into an area where there are buildings I can try to web her in place, that would help a great deal. If I can do that then I can create a foul smelling cloud that could make her ill, I can try that even if she isn't webbed down. I can try to make her despair for her chances as well. Likely the best chance we have is if I can blind her with the sparkling dust which would keep her from becoming invisible as well if she has the means." A thought seemed to hit her then and the mage clammed up as she began to think of something.

Running out of time to post, I'll try to get more up tonight after work.

Action 2
Tillia listened with concern as the dragon's demand was reported. This is bad, very bad. Dragons are not to be trifled with."
Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (6) + 18 = 24
"Dragon's are very resilient, have a multitude of special and natural attacks, and are often able to use spells like a sorcerer as they get older." She arched one eyebrow in question, "Do we know the name of this dragon? It might help us to better learn how to kill him if we can identify him."
Knowledge (History) for dragons that have been involved with Kintargo in the past?: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Though she tried to remember any dragons that might have cropped up in the history of Kintargo it wasn't her forte and she drew a blank.

Action 2
Considering the debate between Jillia and Vandomir Tillia decided, "Jillia first, if she is willing then we appoint her interim and hold an election when her term would have been up." She looked at her companions for thoughts and said, "This way it would be like there was never an interruption and the way things should be will continue."

Action 1
Tillia listened as the plan was worked out and nodded in approval at the suggestion of revealing the true identity of the Poisoned Pen. Even better she had an idea that would make things more manageable and not require manufacturing of evidence. She looked at Marquel and asked, "When we rescued you from your Father was he going to turn you over to the inquisitors or was he trying to hide your identity as the Poisoned Pen? I believe he knew it was you at the time right? If that's the case, and he was protecting you from 'Justice' then he is already a traitor to the crown for, at best, harboring a dissident. At worst he could be seen as aiding and abetting a traitor to the crown which makes him a traitor by extension." She looked at Eirk and asked, "Am I correct in my line of thought?"

Action 2
As they discussed the idea of who should become the new Mayor Tillia nodded in agreement with the suggestion of Jillia, "i like that idea but the only problem is will she take the job? Can she take the job?" She seemed a little sad at the suggestion of Shensen and offered, "While I like this idea as well I don't think Shensen would be a good choice. She is in poor health and who knows if she will recover, for that matter Jillia has the same issue, she doesn't have as long to live as some one younger. I tend to think that Vandomir might be the best choice, if he will take the position, as he has the cities best interests at heart, has helped free the people from Thrune Tyranny, and is a noble which will garner respect from the other nobles." Her grin turned honery as Tillia offered, "we could also consider Marquel or Rexus as well."

Honestly all these issues with spells are a rather might annoying. I agree that they should be stated at the outset so that it doesn't put people off guard. If this were teleport without error I would see the issue but it isn't. I'll grant that at most we're looking at a 6% failure chance but that is still a risk. Tillia knows this and would try to avoid teleporting if she could due to the simple fact that she hasn't done it before and she is more likely to try and enchant her way back out of the place.

I'm fine with leaving it off the table if that's your decision and it won't change much about Tillia's suggestion. The only difference is what magic she will use if needed. She's also the most diplomatic of the group so she might be able to simply talk their way back out.

Tillia considered the issue of getting Marquel back out and asked, "What if one of us went in with you, maybe as your supposed Mistress?" She raised one eyebrow inquiringly, "If I could be inside with you, and get to you after he signs, I can simply teleport us both out of there."

Action 1
"I agree Noravia, trying to force the issue with his father may well turn him against us." Tillia looked certain as she said, "We need to trust our ally, not do something duplicitous."

Action 2
Tillia enjoyed the food they were offered, it was a veritable feast, and was excited when the prospect came to discus the situation. She took a deep breath to gather her thoughts and then began, "We have found everyone we needed for the plan, the last heir of the missing signatories has been found and rescued." She smiled brightly as she finished, "And we rescued Jackdaw." Her smile faded then as she continued, "Actually she is in very poor health and I fear that she may be dying. We can only hope that she survives long enough to help us finish reconstructing the Song of Silver. If the tune she was humming when we found her was any indication she likely will."

Action 1
Tillia was startled at the Hell Knight's offer and then giggled as she replied, "I don't think I would make a good hellknight Octavio." She smiled a little then as she continued, "But working with you at times I would not have a problem with. I imagine I can enter gatherings far less obtrusively than you can."

Action 2
Considering the question of Carliss and his usefulness Tillia shrugged and said, "I think he will help us out of a sense of obligation if nothing else, the fact he would get some revenge against the unlawful government that imprisoned him without trial would help motivate him as well I think. Regardless he is the only one we have for his family so we will have to make do. It wouldn't hurt if we spent some time bringing him up to speed though."

Action 3
This was a more difficult question. She didn't think it was safe for the Pen to go see his father and ask for his help but maybe... Looking up at her friends she said, "How hardline of a follower of Thrune is the Pen's father? Is he truly loyal to the crown and Brassy or is his loyalty to who he sees as the rightful ruler of Kintargo? If his loyalty is to the crown then we have little hope of turning hi but if his loyalty is to the city and we could explain what we have found out then maybe with his son's help we could turn him to our cause. Either way I think it would be best if we could meet with him somewhere he doesn't control."

Tillia was distraught by the way Jackda had been treated, and for who knew how long, it was a miracle the elven woman was alive given those conditions. As they made their way back up to Carlis' cell she prepared to magic the guards if needed but it turned out to be unnecessary. With the young man freed and asking question Tillia shifted over to keep him occupied and began to fill him in on the details of what he missed. She didn't explain why they rescued him, that would be better done in a safe location. With their decision to return to the Wasp Nest made and their distance great enough from the prison Tillia gathered them all together and said, "Should I teleport some of us straight there? I can take three with me and I think two of them should be those we've rescued. I'm familiar enough with the nest that the chance of arriving elsewhere will be minimal."

Action 1
Tillia saw just how badly the lich was doing and realized they might get out of this one alive. when she saw Eirik deliver a kick that literally made heads roll she knew they would be alright. With the collapse of the armor at their Master's destruction Tillia dismissed the webbing and then her invisibility.

As Noravia came to heal her Tillia gave the other woman a smile and said, "Thank you Noravia, that's much better."

Action 2
As they entered the cell where Jackdaw was held Tillia gave a gasp in horror. If the woman had been in that all this time it was amazing she still lived. Seeing her filth Tillia approached Jackdaw and began to chant a few words as she made the gestures of a simple spell and caused the elf's filth to slough off of her.

Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 156d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 4, 2, 1) = 11
Tillia felt a wash of fear as the armor simply tore it's way free of the webbing. She hadn't expected that and realizing it was going to strike her did her no good as the blade lashed out and slashed into her body. It hurt but she was still up. Unfortunately the lich sent another burst of negative energy out at the worst possible time and her distraction by the pain left her mind unprepared. The wash of foul energy washed through her and it was only the webbing that partially blocked her view of the lich that reduced the effectiveness of it.

Tillia knew she couldn't get away, and she knew that she was in trouble if this went on, so she began to chant as she watched the armor for any attacks, foiling it's efforts to get a strike in while she did so. Fortunately she had practiced this kind of casting a great deal lately and such a simple spell as she was using she could successfully cast in her sleep. With a brief shimmer she vanished and then began to move away from the armor.

I cast Vanish and then begin to move away. No AoO unless they have away to ignore the invisiblity. I'll move over to the door in the southeast corner.

Tillia's smile grew vicious when she saw the way the armor had rushed in and their current positions and knew that they had made a serious mistake. Stepping back against the wall she chanted and gestured then flung her hand out towards a point twenty feet behind and just to her left. A mass of webbing suddenly exploded from that point and engulfed all four suits of armor but just missing the First Warden. She knew it wouldn't take the armor out but it would keep them tied down for hopefully long enough to finish the lich.

Cast Web (dc 17) centered on the grid intersection by the northern point of the big table, that should engulf all the armor and miss us based on the map on the recap.

Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 226d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 1, 6, 3, 4) = 21 So 10 damage.
When it happened it happened fast. The lich's face changed and she began to move and Tillia had just enough time to clench her will together as the energy burst forth. Her lack of trust in the lich paid off and she was able to shrug off the worst of the effects of the negative enrgy even if it still hurt severely.

Tillia studied the lich as she spoke and was kind of surprised that she could talk such an old creature into believing her. When it gestured her to go forward she decided to play along and nodded as she said, "Of course." She suspected that he lich would attack her or try to capture her when she went past but she went anyway, keeping her guard up and eyes open for treachery as she went to enter the cell.

The lich scoffed, "Her? You think she has any information? I highly doubt that."

She thought for a moment, "I think she's got some wasting disease. She's aged greatly in the recent past."

"She was the original founder of those Filthy Birds, if anyone knows of any hidden places their successors could be it's her." Tillia pointed at the elderly woman in the cell.

"I'm not sure who this Lord-Mayor Sarini is but it must have been some time ago." Tillia covered over her confusion and told the First Warden about the events that led to Gorvernor Thrune being in charge.

Don't have time for more than that, almost late back from lunch as it is.

Action 1
"I don't have any paper on me but ink and a pen I have," Tillia said. She looked a little sheepish about not having paper handy but was sure they could improvise something. "I think our best bet, if it comes to a fight, is for those of you who can deal with the thing fight it while Caleb and I try to spring Jackdaw from the cell." She looked at Caleb, "As for Carliss, at least we have the keys for his cell now."

Action 2
The fact that he undead creature was speaking with them instead of instantly attacking was interesting. The possibility of bluffing it was an interesting change and she decided to take advantage of it. "Defeated, no First Warden, but they have been driven out though at great cost. We have lost the support of the Order of the Wrack it seems, they were gone when we arrived, and it looks like the Ravens have gone through some of the documents and possibly taken a few. There are inquisitors on the way to begin cataloging what is missing and in the meantime Lord Thrune has sent me to try and...convince our most important visitor into revealing the location of what he believes must be secret bases the Ravens may have found."

She made a smile that channeled an inner b!&@# she'd been developing at the First Warden as she said, "Our Lord has decided that normal interrogation methods have proven ineffective so he has contracted me to use min on our guest over there. He hopes that since pain hasn't done the trick maybe pleasure will. I am to wrap her mind in enchantment and pleasure so that she will spill everything to me." Gesturing again towards the captive Jackdaw Tillia continued, "To that end we have come to move the prisoner to somewhere that my particular talents would prove more effective."
