Sky gets patched up at the camp and is relieved to hear that Jaldan will receive more training to become another ally to nature. Once fully healed, he gathers his meager belongings and pays each of his allies a visit and wishes them safe travels before leaving for another adventure.

Thanks all, good luck out there! Thank you GM for running us!

Relieved, Sky falls to the ground exhausted and takes a second to rest, extremely hurt from the fight. He closes his eyes and listens to the wind to try and regain his composure with the abyssal rock shard still in his grasp.

Sky gets brought back with Thurk's quick medical aid, taking a second to remember his surroundings as he stands up Action 1: Stand and sees Toadlicker trying to get the stone out of the leshy's head. He figures his attacks haven't been working so he attempts to help the goblin at getting the stone. Action 2 and 3: Force Open

That aoe attack is honestly insane, especially if they are expecting us to figure out that one person needs to grapple while the other removes the stone, moving multiple people up close only forces us to face that aoe attack head on. On top of that, those large bones provide cover but that means absolutely nothing to the aoe attack either.

Seeing the leshies move to protect their leader, Sky sees an opening and decides he might be able to stop it all if he can take out the leader. He whispers a quick prayer to Gozreh before dashing in, Action 1: Stride moving between the leshies and making it over the dead tree limbs Action 2: Stride to get right up close and personal with the leshy crafter, charging his feet with his positive energy and letting out two desperate shark tail kicks in an attempt to stop the corruption. Sky chimes in when Thurk is finished, "It seems that this is the source of energy that is twisting the spirits and corrupting them. The corruption is still fresh, if we were to remove the monolith then the spirits would return to normal quickly." Sky looks down at his various wounds over the past few fights. "Also it seems I've been hurt quite a bit from that last battle and could use some help."

Going in the order above just to make it easy.

At Cenenviel: Sky enters the tent and looks around at the various books and notes scattered about. He looks over at Berry-Eater and reaches out to pet it but doesn't spend time playing since there are more important matters at hand. He helps scour through the records, using his Arcana knowledge gained from briefly attending the Magaambya Academy.

Arcana:
Arcana: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

At Kaana Korag: Sky listens to Kaana speak and nods while listening, agreeing that some pathfinders have been known to be less than helpful even in his most recent adventures. He shares some stories of his successful tasks and powerful enemies he's taken on in the name of his deity.

Warfare:
Warfare Lore: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

At Jaldan: Sky approaches Jaldan as she's telling her stories and he just sits quietly as she entertains the young. He was barely a part of the story anyways so he opts to stay out of it and let her weave any extra details on her own.

All three of those checks are 0 for me so I'll pass on this check, worried I might get a critical fail.

Sky thanks Milton for the extra Elixir and takes it to keep himself topped off if any fights break out.

"I could use that Elixir, Milton. I'm only slightly wounded from the battle. The poison from those leshies while not life threatening were still a bit annoying." Sky will accept any extra healing they can offer. He has a healing potion given to him by the Society but it's a one time use and he'll keep it around for later since we have alchemist potions.

Sky listens in on the story about the goblin ritual and soaks in the information. Once they're done talking and everyone spreads out to help around the camp, Sky will go see what Kaana Korag should need help with.

Yeah sorry, I didn't want to come off as so defensive, lol.

Horizon Hunters

I already know the answer to this, but how else can I convince and explain to my GM as well as another player in my Pathfinder Society PbP game that Ki Strike includes the Flurry of Blows as part of the action cost to use Ki Strike? It seems they are convinced it costs a separate action to use Ki Strike and another separate action to do the Flurry of Blows. Is there a better way to explain it or is there an official ruling somewhere that I can link?

Horizon Hunters

Monk 2 HP 15/32 | AC 19 | Fort +7 | Ref +9 | Will +6 | Perc +4 | Exploration: Scout | 0/1 Focus 0/3 Hero

Ok, the wording is weird, but trust me, the attack is PART OF the action. It costs 1 action verbal, yes, but if you read the description you MAKE AN UNARMED STRIKE OR FLURRY OF BLOWS as part of the action. Here is a quote from a quick search that shows a reddit post: The strike or flurry of blows is included in the ki strike, on top of the ki strike being a focus spell so you can get it back after every fight, basically its +1 to attack giving it 5% more chance to hit and to crit, and then 1d6 extra on the flurry of blows.

If we really need to, we can post this as a question in the rules thread, but I think you guys just need to read it again. I'm not trying to sound condescending, the wording is very confusing, but it is right there.

Horizon Hunters

Monk 2 HP 15/32 | AC 19 | Fort +7 | Ref +9 | Will +6 | Perc +4 | Exploration: Scout | 0/1 Focus 0/3 Hero

Uh, I'm pretty sure that you "make an unarmed strike or flurry of blows" as part of the action. It doesn't say "on your next unarmed strike or flurry of blows". Am I wrong here?

Sky shows up early to the group and waits for the others to arrive, patiently meditating and reciting passages from the Hymns to the Wind and Waves. The dark skinned monk comes from the swamp lands of the Mwangi Expanse where he briefly attended the Magaambya Academy before dropping out to pursue his true calling.

He dresses and looks like most typical monks would, with his loose clothing and his magical handwraps, but at first glance you would immediately be curious about the wooden mask he wears. When asked about it he will explain that he is training to be a Magic Warrior, ancient defenders that originated from the Mwangi Expanse. His wooden mask resembles features of a shark, with a wide sharp toothed grin and small eye holes that you can see his dark brown eyes through. He also explains that he has taken an oath when he put on his mask and he cannot share his true name or show his face, or else he would lose the gifts that he gained upon taking his oath.

He also talks about his devotion to Gozreh, the god of the skies and seas, and how he believes that Gozreh has sent him on the path to become one of his mightiest warriors. He lives next to the sea near the Eye of Abendego and lets the wind guide him to adventure, usually with the Pathfinder Society. He greets everyone that arrives and shares his stories with anyone curious to ask, but otherwise stays pretty silent, preferring to listen to the wind for signs from his deity. His real name must remain a mystery but he has chosen to take the name Sky Shark for now to make it easier to address him, usually by the shortened name, Sky.

I really enjoyed the scenario! As with PbP it's always difficult managing how to do things and keep everything moving smoothly and running on time, and with the servers going down and causing us to lose people as well as a few days, it was definitely a bit more difficult than normal. You posted much more often than I've noticed that GMs do for a PbP so that was a real treat as well. I enjoyed everyone else's characters and it was sad to see our group composition slowly dwindle over time, but I'm glad that we were able to pull it through.
