will: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 No he doesn't have Recognise Spell but I'm noting that one down for the Remastered version, cause that's a good idea. Plus Investigators don't get spells - unless they take a Dedication.

The Doctor jumps off the wagon and moves behind a bush. He then Devises a Stratagem on the nearest one (White)
before pulling out his shortbow and shoots it If that's too many actions, he'll use his Bend Time ability for the move To hit = 16+6=22 piercing: 1d6 ⇒ 4

*ponders* I suppose that is a possibility. I just hope that no over zealous types get it into their heads to destroy him on sight He turns to the Captain and pulls out a small paper bag. I'm the Doctor. Jelly baby? He also offers one to Molly then to the other Pathfinders.

Indeed yes. The evidence indicates that your brother was instrumental in preparing the village for the attack. When it was obvious they were about to be overwhelmed, those that stayed decided to make a last stand in the hall. They fought bravely but lost

The lead that the Doctor is following is Pellas, and what happened to him. With the information he has he can deduce Pellas was the town trapmaker and that he, along with several others, decided to defend their village to the last against the demons, laying traps to slow them down or to take out as many as possible before having a final stand in what used to be a Church of Iomedae. As for the deed, it would seem to be in Pellas's house. Now which one is it?

After checking to see if the traps in the first building have caught anything - or something had left evidence on them, the Doctor follows the others into the hall. Once he sees the names, he copies them down into his journal. Pellas's name is emphasised. I would say, this is where they made their final stand

The Doctor collects the instructions. It appears they have a trap maker in residence. Did Castor mention the name of his brother? He also examines some of the traps themselves in case they are clues to what happened here.
