He then feels the tremor of the two ships being pulled together and gets tossed a little in on the floor, "You clowns gonna give us sum chow or what?" he says to his captors.

With a mild headache Tevyn pushes his mop across the deck at a slower pace. But he gets the work done.
Tevyn decides to get friendlier with the crew and has some rum

Tevyn swabs the decks but keeps up a decent pace for his size as he wraps the mop with his fingers trying to come up with a new beat, which forces him to repeat his steps in places.
Tevyn stays up late busting out hot beats of his darabukka, getting the crew to dance and revel. At about 3am, Tevyn hits the hay.
Tevyn after being fished out of the ocean unclogs his ears and checks his drum. He spends the day tweaking the skins of his darabukka and pleasantly and afterwards helps with any healing if necessary. the rhythmn goes doum-tek-brap-doum-tak-tak boong. CLW

Tevyn de Fonseca a healer bard originally from Pezzack in Cheliax. While on a trip to Westcrown four years ago to buy new equipment for his family's farm was pressganged into the Chelaxian Navy at the age of 13 because they needed a cabin boy. The shanghai was perpetuated by a beautiful Lieutenant Lemara Sarini of said navy and powerful house in Cheliax by getting the boy really drunk. While serving in the navy, he learned the profession of sailing. He had always been a very charismatic boy, where he excelled at playing percussion, whether it be with sticks or his hands. He also discovered he was a bard one day after his 14th birthday while at sea in the Fever Sea. He knew if the captain of his ship found out about his abilities, they would never allow him to end his enlistment, of course it was a forced enlistment. His drumming during his ship's engagements and his ability to play cards endeared him with his fellow sailors and now that his enlistment is finished, he is staying with one eyed Jimmy for the time being before he makes the long trek back to Pezzack to take back the family farm. Since his enlistment ended he has befriended one barkeeper named Johannes Davenport where he Tevyn plays the drums for all the folk in the bar to earn money.

Always lucky with cards and reading people, he was an invaluable asset to the ship's crew until his right eye was burned chemically during a ship to ship melee. Tevyn was able to save his life using his bardish healing magic. The next time they made port was in Westcrown and he lives on his theiving skills and a modest pension for his service.

My idea for Tevyn de Fonseca is that he is a Air Elemental Sorceror who was pressganged in the Chelaxian Navy and now that he has gotten word that his Mother has passed away, he wants to strike out on his own and would enjoy being a pirate. This is what I have so far: Male Human Wind Sorceror with some sailing skills. While serving in the navy, he learned the profession of sailing and bided his time until his service was up. He did not jump ship because he was afraid what the authorities would do to his family in Pezzack. He concealed his sorcerous ways from his fellow sailors so that he can eventually seek his freedom. At the age of 16, he received news that his mother had passed away during his service and it was then that Tevyn decided to use his arcane powers to escape and jump ship. He finally found his chance when the Captain of his ship was sent to broker a deal between the Hurricane king and Cheliax. His Captain went ashore and met with a high ranking representative of the Hurricane King and seemed pleased. That night there was a great deal of celebration and Tevyn jumped ship with his pay. As a sailor, he was somewhat familiar with Port Peril, due to earlier missions in port. He strolled up to the Formidably Maid and decided it was a great evening for celebration and he bought himself a grog and a meal. The crunch will come shortly:

After being pressganged and losing 2 years of his life and gaining news that his mother had passed away whilst in the Navy, Tevyn will use his arcane powers to escape at all costs or at least he feels he can get away. 3.)With his current skill set as a sailor and sorceror he would be a very capable member of any crew and could be an overall problem solver. 4.)He would do almost anything for someone he cared about but now since he has nothing left he would start off doing anything for a farthing or haypenny but if he develops a relationship he could become a hero. 5.) Start off with some magic attacks but if things gets thick he has no qualms about getting his hands dirty. I would play him as a sorceror/buccaneer who would but closer to a sorceror because thats who he is. |
