I wouldn't mind it if you railroaded the game a bit.
Maybe something like "our heroes find themselves on a wild hunt for the mystery man" and we pick up from there. It cuts to the chase and keeps us from wandering too far.

Woo! You answered my question right before I posted!

He approaches the scene cautiously, diverting some of the energy from the propulsion systems towards lifting strength while he hovers over the Museum. Pulsar would be able to pick him out by his propulsion system
::We've got someone up top. Engaging Nanite Force Construct. Hopefully this'll keep that guy under control::

Nanites swirl into formation around Pulsar like fireflies. In a flash, a pale blue light emits from the nanites and hardens into a prism around the foe.
Forming a Force Construct around Pulsar. With 35 cu ft max, I figure it's a lot like a fridge

The man known as Techno Priest breaks out into a sprint, tossing aside his loose fitting hoody.
He takes advantage of his long legs, using them to vault over debris in the streets. He leaps onto the hood of a car and into the air. Within milliseconds, a swarm of nanites pours over his body and solidifies him in a thin, yet impossibly durable, second skin. With his arms back, Techno Priest takes off at high speeds.

On my way! For the time being, how can I assist, Doc?

My turn will be spent getting there, and using Datalink in whatever way Dr. Quark requests, IE turning lights off, intel via surveillance devices, ordering a pizza

Faxing your professor a note as we speak, courtesy of Doctor Swift. From the look of it, the back-ups are powering the facility. Whatever it is, it's intentional. Should I notify the police, or are we going to handle this one ourselves?

While I feel I'm not cut out to run a game through PbP, I'm still interested in progressing our main game. If someone feels comfortable taking over the secondary, by all means, go for it. Here was a bunch of potential for it, but I'm not the right kind of person.

Priest hails a cab and heads to the museum, bags of brand new clothes in hand. As the cab makes its way, Techno Priest keeps an eye on the men through whatever available surveillance is available. Before the cabby can ask for money, techno priest jumps out and starts walking around the perimeter. The cabby begins to yell, but then notices the fare was somehow paid for already.

I vote that we carry on and work his disappearance into the game. Perhaps when TP comes up empty-handed, he turns to a particular wizardly-type to help find him?

Techno Priest loiters around the electronic shop. He asks no questions and turns down any help from the sales associates.
|Ok Wave, I'll make it as vanilla as possible. Maybe. Just set us up for a meeting and I'll take over from there.|

Dr. Swift chimed in. Great, he thinks to himself more work. "Hold on, Doc." Not even five seconds go by before Priest checks back in "That'll be about right. Enjoy the museum. It's been ages since I've physically been in one m'self. Maybe that's what we'll do tonight before dinner! Thanks for the idea, Doc."
With an improved mental quickness and an awesome datalink range, I figure Tech Support isn't a hassle for him if it's not a physical repair.

Deciding that he's had his fill of the electronic static he calls "The Hum", Priest hits the streets again, this time towards a clothing boutique.
He enters and feels the stares nearly instantaneously. For someone always on the internet, he isn't quite up to date on fashion. He figured his baggy ragged clothes, for the most part unwashed, made him look too much like a bum. Calm down, mates. Y'look like y'never seen such a beautiful man before.

He grabs a few articles of clothing. A pair of leather work boots, supposedly sourced from local materials and handcrafted by local artisans. Light blue slacks that hugged him perfectly. A salmon-colored dress shirt along with a simple brown tie and a grey cardigan. He felt too outside his comfort zone, but There's a first for everything he told himself.

He steadies his nerves before leaving the store, gripping the bags of new apparel tightly. Run Op: CalmCoolCollected.EXE
Let's just take it easy, T. I'm sure she's just as nervous as I am.

Techno Priest is going on his first date EVER. He's stepping out into the real world and trying to stretch out of his comfort zone. This new superhero thing's given him a bit of a confidence boost, going so far as trying out internet dating for the first time. Seems that he's got a bite. Who's the lucky lady? Who knows! But he met her on that spiffy Supers Dating App. What could possibly go wrong?

TP crosses the busy intersection as he makes his way to an electronics shop.
He recreates the photo in his mind, trying to view it from different angles to get proper measurements.

|I'll have to take proper measurements, but I'm sure I can come up with something nice. Durability, decent lifting strength, maybe a projectile or two. Oh! How about a well contained, high-output plasma cutter within the fist? He could punch holes through steel! I've always wanted one of those! OR we can shoot for the T1000! An arm of liquid metal, able to be reconfigured on a whim! It won't be too hard, and I could have a nice little cerebral augment installed in him in the blink of an eye so he can control the arm as his own!|

A cacophony of cannons blasted through the halls of the Cathode Cathedral as Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture played. The previous week had been a whirlwind of productivity, and it showed as the typically punctual Techno Priest lazed around in bed. He worked his body to it's limits and the pain was still present.

"Cripes, if only crime could take a break" he mumbled as he pulled the sheets down from over his head. In the kitchen, the coffee maker clicked to life and began to brew a fresh pot, while the shower started.

He got out of bed and instantly felt the cold touch of concrete, the creakiness of his bones, the aches in his muscles and joints. Having a body was becoming a burden to him, and the last week was proof. He'd spent sleepless nights constructing a proper elevator to Dr. Swift's office, renovating and expanding the Cathedral, and putting the finishing touches on his latest invention, all while scouring the 'net for any news regarding VIPER whereabouts. When his body couldn't keep up, he relied on machinery to assist him.

The warmth of the shower was a welcome sensation to his sore body. He used caution when scrubbing at his skin. He knew it wouldn't hurt or damage any of his upgrades, but he'd grown worried of his scarring. To him, they stuck out like a sore thumb against his dark skin. The few times he'd had dreams in the recent months, it all seemed to come back to this fleshy body, and his scars tearing open.
If only it weren't a problem, he thought to himself.

After an uncharacteristically quick breakfast, Techno Priest threw on a baggy pair of pants, a loose fitting long sleeve shirt, a baseball cap and some oversized glasses. Whatever the day had for him, he knew he had to get outside for a little. Before he left, he gave himself a long look in the mirror, scrutinizing the areas where he knew he had scarred. Once everything seemed covered, he made his way to the outside world.

Good morning, Guards! What do we have planned for today?

In his everlasting quest for self-improvement, the being known as Techno Priest has taken yet another step towards post-human conversion. Realizing that his first few rounds of run-ins were less than ideal for him, he's spent time reconfiguring both the SCEPTER and Glider nanites into a suit of armor. The SCEPTER Armor improved upon many of the capabilities of the original SCEPTER.

The HURT Laser blast has been upgraded to the VARI-Beam, a beam capable of imitating various forms of energy and projectiles.

The Nausea WAVE has been reconfigured to the Flashbang Cone, a sharp burst of light and sound capable of blinding and deafening any who stand in it's way. There's a lot less vomiting involved.

New to the Techno Priest Arsenal:
The Hyper-Charged Javelin- A rapidly assembled ballistic missile charged with volatile kinetic energy able to pierce through tough defenses.

Force Fabricators- Using his alien nanites, Techno Priest is able to create different shapes of solid force for use in many different applications.

The TECH-Nullifier has been reclassified as the EMP Cloud, while the Disassembler has been changed to the Disassembly Ray.
Lost in the changes were the poor Nano-Nurses, who just couldn't make the cut.

Due to its experimental nature, the SCEPTER does have a major flaw: the suit of nanites are easily susceptible to being removed, whether from a strong enough blow (sending particulate pieces of the armor flying) or malfunction. Think of it as a fun little way to get a hero point!

The Cathode Cathedral has undergone some upgrades!
The tunnel systems were further explored and converted to more space for The New Guard, along with a new secret elevator entrance located at The New Guard's cover facility, Dr. Quark's offices.

My group is getting ready to start playing Thursday night and I've got a player who kind of F'd himself with his build.

Insubstantial 4, permanent. No Con score. No toughness. No defenses at all.

I told him that Insubstantial 4 isn't a hard thing to overcome when it comes to attacking, and that he'd want to get his defense bonuses up. He asked how not having a con score would effect his defenses. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't, but I thought I'd ask because I honestly don't know.
So, what exactly comes with having a con score of "-"? Does that interfere with having a defense in anyway?

So in terms of Techno Priest and the issue of humanity.
As I've tried to hint, he's done some questionable surgery on himself and has been tracking Quark down to help him.
Before the invasion, Neil Raval develops a headset that allows him to control machinery and interface with computers and the like. He finds out the company he works for plans on weaponizing his invention instead of using it to aid people with disabilities. He slowly finds out his company is a front for an AIM-like organization. As the invasion begins, he is alone toiling away at his office trying to figure out what is what in regards to his work, it's use, and what nefarious plans the evil organization has for it.
Meanwhile, the Terminus Invasion is roaring on outside and all sorts of battles rage on. Neil's office gets caught in the crossfire as some sort of wreckage collapses down on the building. Miraculously, he survives and discovers some sort of nanite generating contraption the size of a large backpack. He steals it and makes a run for it, along with his prototype.
During the ten years after the invasion, Neil transitions into Techno Priest by creating the neural implants using his prototype. He manages to consolidate the large backpack-sized nano-factory into a smaller package, which he surgically implants within his spinal column using the neural interface (and a heavy dose of BS science). As a side effect of physically transfixing ALIEN TECHNOLOGY to his inner body, he slowly loses touch with humanity.
His powers all stem from either his Nano-factory body parts (the bots flow through his blood veins and emerge out of nodes through out his body) or the neural implant interface.

In the future, I'd like to see Techno Priest fly off into space to learn the origins of the technology he's grafted onto himself (and of course, there'll be some zany, trippy cosmic adventure). In his place, he would leave an android boy looking to be more human. Hopefully the android will be created with both Dr. Quark's and Golem's help *wink* *wink*.

There! That's been my plan for Priest kind of. Anyone else have any sort of plans for their character?

Shooting for a more combat oriented Priest, especially after getting his ass handed to him a few times. The idea would be that the Scepter and the Tech Glider both have two configurations.
The tech scepter is now S.C.E.P.T.E.R. (don't ask me what it stands for). Serves as his Tech Scepter (minus the healing ability) and now as a battle form. In the S.C.E.P.T.E.R. battle form, his defenses are improved and he is capable of unleashing a barrage of beam weapons.

The Glider is now T.E.C.H. and can now function as a form of transportation (T.E.C.H. Glider) or, with re-calibration of nanites, can function as T.E.C.H. Regen, a health monitoring system that heals minor injuries while on the field.

Give it a look over and let me know how it looks. I'm thinking this could be the project that he's been working on for a while.

Using my Awareness sense to pick up on any technological item on Ripper. Depending on what I see, I will either use robo-control to take him over (if his brain is wired to a computer or something) or machine control to shut down any enhancements if he's got weapon upgrades, any devices attached to him or something. Basically just let me know what he's got if he's got anything and I'll figure it out from there.

Priest banks his glider over some stray shots, some even grazing him. He swoops in near Ripper's pod and takes a peek inside.

Going off the picture, I'd like to see if his powers are technological.
Tech Awareness: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 vs. DC10

He'll use either Robo-Control to take control or Machine-Control to shut his enhancements down if it turns out his enhancements are tech-sourced.
If the notice check turns up negative, he will power stunt his healing ability to repair the stasis pod.

REAL FUNNY.

Invictus, I swear! If you're feeling alt-y, how about cranking out a villain or two? I've got three down, but we could always use more. That goes for anyone else too, even if you're not participating in Freedom City Knights. If you're the type to build characters for fun, feel free to make a street-level villain, no higher than PL 11, and I may or may not use it over on the "Tales From The Watcherverse" game "Freedom City Knights".

Arkham Knights seems fun. I'll have to borrow it once my brother gets it.

I was originally planning on disassembling the chopper all together, leaving it a heap of parts, and once the scenario was over, reassemble it. Maybe try to search for a black box and shrink that?

I was using his machine link to cause the jetpacks to hit full speed.
I included his communication ability because it affects the range at which he could communicate via machine link (datalink + Machine Control)

Priest streaks in riding his glider. Seeing all the VIPER agents, he rushes to assist Quark with the chopper.
**Hold it down, Doc, I'm coming to help. All these flying agents need to BUG OFF**
Using his advanced tech-interface, Techno Priest forces all VIPER jetpacks within a mile of his location to throttle to their maximum capacity.

Not sure what to roll for this, but Techno Priest is basically trying to use some battlefield control to send the jetpacks flying. My next trick is going to be a bit more complicated, but holy crap would it be cool!

Wouldn't quit romping around my domicile, taking things apart, putting them back together, making weapons out of scraps. I asked him to leave countless times, but he wouldn't break away from his projects. I told him I kept spare parts in a warehouse near the harbor, and I guess some how his parole officer just happened to be waiting there for him? Tales From the Watcherverse Discussion is live!

My idea is to make one alternate board where we run one-shots and whatnot. I understand switching GMs is a bit of a process requiring Paizo assistance, but it would be cool to pass the GM rights around. I've got a rough outline of a story brewing. Toss out some character ideas and I'll start putting things together based on what we have.
