![]() Hey, Cosmo! I know you're swamped, but can you give me an update on my order #874857 placed May 7, 2008? It's a bunch of miniatures, and I think it's being held up by 2 Sinspawn(backorder) and Merisiel(pre-order). If these are going to be in soon, I'm okay to wait longer ... but if there is a problem, will you advise and suggest a course of action? Thank you very much for your help in advance! ![]()

This has happened to me also, as I reported on this post. I hope it gets fixed before the next subscriptions go out -- I very much prefer UPS. ![]()
![]() Is there any chance you could re-ship UPS Ground? I will mark the USPS Mail package "RETURN TO SENDER" and send it back to you folks. (I am not satisfied with the dings, dents, and lengthy delivery I ususally get from USPS Mail). I would very much appreciate your help. Best and Sincerely! At first, the mantises used intelligence as a base score, but we decided to change that since they were more about presence than smarts. Red Mantis assassins use Charisma for all their spell-casting needs. Thank you for the clarification! And I think the class has great "presence." (Charisma definitely feels better as a basis for their spells.) I also like their visual nature (sneaky but scary when you finally see them). ![]()

I think some of the monsters from Pathfinder and GameMastery Modules should be included: for example, Goblins. I would also like to see some of the more creative monsters, especially CR 1 to CR 9, included in a hard cover Pathfinder Magnificent Monster Manual! (Kind of sounds like a new spell, huh?) ![]()

You can only have the thrill of "first time" once... but that's not true. By taking part of an adventure with other players who are experiencing it for the first time, you can hitch a ride on their excitement. It's fun to see how other players react to the adventures. It's fun to see how a good GM makes those adventures his own and changes them. It's fun just to play the game. I agree! I watched The Thing with my kids a few weeks ago and the experience of watching the reactions of a 15 and 17 year old seeing an "old" movie was fantastic. The blood test scene in the movie made them both jump! ![]()

![]() Cosmo, I sent customer service an e-mail a couple of days ago. Can you reply to it or this post? In summary, my order 881787 was short J3: Crucible of Chaos (OGL) Print Edition. I suggested you might ship a replacement on my pending order (placed 2-29-08) 865665 if you would like to save on shipping for the replacement. Will you please let me know how this will be resolved and the expected ship dates of my order 865665? Thank you again in advance for all of the great help! ![]()

Is it still as deadly and fun as the earlier version? I ran the original back when it came out and the 3.5 version last summer. The original was about twice as vicious. However, neither in the original nor in the 3.5 version did anyone successfully complete the whole adventure alive. (They ended up running away in the original and being unable to escape alive in the 3.5 version.) Both versions were fun to play! ![]()

![]() Lisa Stevens wrote: It seems to me that IF a company were to stick with supporting 3.5 that they would need to find a way to keep the rulebooks for that system available and relevant. It would be like printing CCG expansions but not keeping the core set in print. Or making miniatures for a miniatures game that doesn't have the core rulebook in print. One thing I have learned in my years in the gaming industry is that if there isn't a core rulebook available at retail, then that game and all its supplements are dead to the retailer. Nothing can get them griping more than having your core rulebook out of print. So, yes, I think anybody, including Paizo, who is serious about sticking with 3.5, would have to find a way to keep a core rulebook in print. -Lisa Lisa, If Paizo publishes a v.3.5 or v.Paizo core rule book, you can count me in for at least 3 copies! ![]()

Erik -- In answer to your questions: 1) No, I will not convert to the new D&D version. 2) I will very reluctantly cancel my subscriptions to all of the Paizo products that use 4.0 rules. :-( 3. If Paizo does not convert to 4.0, I will continue my Pathfinder, Pathfinder Chronicles, GameMaster Modules and Planet Stories subscriptions. (The reason I would cancel Planet Stories also is because it would no longer make shipping cost sense to ship it alone.) If Paizo does not convert to 4.0, I will also support any new rulebooks Paizo publishes to continue the availability of v3.5 rules (a Paizo Golarion Handbook similar to a PHB would be a multiple-book purchase! ;-) Thank you for asking, Erik. ![]()

Does this mean that Second Darkness will definitely be v3.5 because of writing/printing/shipping issues? (Since I'm not converting to v4.0, I'm hoping for a 'yes' for so many reasons, not the least of which is my desire for the Drow Pathfinder Adventure Path.) ![]()
![]() Jason Grubiak wrote: 3.75, if it were invented, would just be the 3.5 PHB reissued by another publisher that isnt WotC with little to no changes to the SRD. What little changes would be in there would just be some "tweaks" here and there to fix the parts of the rules that 3rd edition players feel need fixing. It really wouldnt be that different from 3.5 at all. Its not this new system you are thinking it is. The whole point of 3.75 (I think) is so 3rd edition PHBs would still be printed and sold somewhere...Not to create a new system. I think you are correct. (Plus it'll have cool Pathfinder and GameMastery graphics and iconics, right?) And I am glad to hear that it looks like the 3rd Pathfinder Adventure Path will turn out to be v3.5. I'm waiting for the Second Darkness with anticipation! (like the old ketchup advertisements) ![]()
![]() Cosmo, In case something has changed with this order since we spoke this morning: To avoid additional shipping, I would like to get the order complete rather than having cancellations of one or more items -- unless Paizo would like to pick up the additional shipping charges to break up the order. I mention this because of the information on the messageboards tonight regarding how orders are staged and which orders are shipped first. Please let me know how it works out. ;-) Thanks again! ![]()

That's me, Erik! I broke down and ordered a few of the books to give as Christmas presents, but I still need to subscribe to get copies for myself. I'm very glad to hear that after Pathfinder #4 is shipped, the "tech team" is putting a high priority on this. (I'm also looking forward to the Pathfinder Chronicles subscription.) Any chance that you think we'll be able to subscribe before Christmas? ![]()

Well, I will hate cancelling Pathfinder, GameMastery Modules and (upcoming) Pathfinder Chronicles subscriptions if Paizo goes v4.0 -- but that is the way it will have to be. What scraps I've seen of D&D v4.0 have already convinced me that I do not want to own the books or play the game as the current WoTC team is envisioning it. But maybe the Powers That Be at Paizo will make their save and go with v3.5 or v.Paizo. Like my buddy from Virginia says, "Where there's life, there's hope." ![]()

And if the rules are SO outlandish that after that restructuring we'd have essentially a different game... that'd be an argument to stick with 3.5. I hope you do stick with v3.5 or v.Paizo. I would like to continue buying Pathfinder, GameMastery Modules, Pathfinder Chronicles and those wondrous accessories like Rise of the Runelords Item Cards...but alas, I won't be buying them if Paizo caters to these radically-altered, supposed D&D rules called v4.0 about which WoTC won't even share scraps of information with their former brothers-in-blood at Paizo. ![]() I'd like to extend my praise for the great story by Jason Bulmahn in the Pathfinder's Journal of Pathfinder 2. They could also include useful sidebars introducing specific game concepts to new players or GMs. Such products would probably require new branding to highlight them as entry-level or beginner-friendly products. Should Paizo stick with 3.5, this could be a way of introducing new blood into an ageing edition. What a great idea! If this gets done, you can count me in for 3 copies of each Module produced in this line. I have a niece, nephew, and a couple young cousins who I'd love to introduce to RPGs with appropriate adventures. ![]()

If Paizo is still helmed by the folks producing the content now and they make it (v3.5 or v.Paizo), then I will buy it.
