I mean, we need to secure things well enough to allow our wounded friends and the First Children to make it through here, but I'm not interested in exploring the Underdark."

She preferred her fights outside at range, not this frantic room to room struggle. Esrastil's crusty monocle, she misses the sky. This was like taking on the Tarfield clan after they'd taken one too many cows for her daddy to stand. Their compound had been more of a stockade than a homestead, and clearing it had been a brutal, brutal business, but after that, no one ever stole from the Kelthorne's again. No help for it today. Lucille takes a deep breath, and runs as carefully as she can into the next room, where the fight still rages. She curls around the dazed mongrelmen, and into the corner, where she quickly stabs at her nearest foe, more to keep him off of her than because she expects to hit. Move action: Move to M21.

Lucille smiles at Farasha's question. "Crusader? Goodness no, I'm a farmhand and horse trainer. I promised my daddy I'd come up to Kenabres and talk to the recruiters -- he and momma were Crusaders back in the day -- but it won't hurt my feelings none if they turn me down. And I reckon they will. I'm a tolerable shot, but nothing special." And back to the present... Lucille nods at the chiefs words. "Thank you, sir, for your help. What can you tell us about this other tribe? Do you know numbers, or anything about their territory?" As they leave the chief's presence, Lucille will take Horgus aside. "Sir, if you're raring to come with us and fight our way out you're welcome to one of my weapons. But it might be better if you stayed here and watched over the wounded -- I'd rest a mite easier knowing there was somone able-bodied and trustworthy like you watching out for them. The First Children seem like a good sort, but you never know if there might be a couple of spies among them from this other tribe." That night, Lucille will scrounge around town for whatever she can find that might help. Things she is particularly looking for: caltrops, smokesticks, sunrods, any alchemical splash weapons, and of course, black powder. Maybe a dagger or two for throwing.

"Or maybe not. Ain't any heroes down there, like you and yours are. Just people scraping to get by. Anyways, you ever need help, you or any of the First Children, I'll do what I can. The one thing I know about this AP (as Old Guy said) is it's all about Redemption, so I'd be careful of writing anyone off too soon, though. As far as Lucille's concerned, you're all part of her herd and under her protection, so she'll overlook a lot to keep everyone alive. But once we get up to the surface...well let's just say the only one's who've really impressed her so far are Kazul and Anevia. :)

She nods emphatically at the woman's final word. "Easy does it," Lucille says, giving her last waterskin an appraising shake. "It's been a tough few days, its hot, and we've all been working hard. No need to get riled up." She hands her waterskin to Dieter. "Drink up. Don't let yourself get light-headed from thirst." After he finishes she passes it on to Horgus, then the blind elf, Anevia, and anyone else who needs it. "Y'all keep it together," she says finally, "And we'll get outta here just fine." I would think that would be of some use in knowing how to climb over rubble and clear it efficiently, but wouldn't help at all with making sure man-made structures don't collapse. GM, what's your opinion on using a musket as an improvised melee weapon? I think I'd propose treating it as a staff: 1d6 bludgeoning, 2-handed, non-finessable. Next question would be if I would always threaten adjacent squares while holding it, or if there needs to be some sort of grip change, and what type of action that would be. I don't really have an opinion there. (There's a deed that lets you attack with a musket butt for 1d10 at the cost of a Grit point without adjusting grip, but that seems like too much for a general purposes.)

Haven't leveled Lucille yet, but assuming I put a point into it, I'll have a +4 after Armor Check (compared to the +0 I have at the moment.)

This wasn't any kind of dwarf she had encountered before. Gruff, yes. Angry, of course. But raving mad and casting spells? Never. She settles into the notch into the rock just south of the passageway Millorn stood in, nocking an arrow and sighting in on him. "We ain't here to fight you, Millorn," Lucille shouts to the dwarf. "But you insist on a beatdown, you best keep your eye on me, cause I'm the one fixin' to give it to you." Double move as far into that southern groove as I can get.

I'm a bit concerned that Bollwerk is our only Divine caster...but if you think we can make it through with the group we have, I'm willing to give it a try.

Apparently I can't type, but I can see that that Confirm roll was a 5, so it does not confirm unless its Touch AC is a 7...

She'll sit with whoever else is out there, watching over them, but not saying much. Once they get the all clear to move into the temple, she will help the injured inside. When it comes time to divvy up watches, Lucille will volunteer for the middle watch.

My only problem with Gwerm is that I'm Order of the Land -- the order that defends...peasants.
