Hello! My husband Eddy and I were heavily involved in LG in Utah, too. Then we were Pathfinder Co-VCs for Utah from 2012-2014 (I gave birth to twins and free time went *bye-bye*). We ran our first Pathfinder Society adventures at SaltCon 4 and created the Wasatch Front Pathfinder Society Facebook group.

Wholeheartedly second this. Some sort of con support for regional VCs so they can organize some local gaming space one or more days of the weekend would be awesome. Maybe even let officially-registered VC-organized mini-cons participate in the Specials? ![]()

As someone who quite often plays healers myself, I'm going to just say: fair warning, if you play a skeleton, you will need to just assume that any healing your PC might need they will have to bring themselves (via potions, self-repair/heal abilities, or only ever traveling with a friend who can fix them). Not being able to automatically assume other PCs will be able to heal your PC (and occasionally needing to get your PC the heck out of the way of positive-energy spewing abilities) is just going to be part of the price you pay to play your odd and rare PC in PFS adventures. *shrug* ![]()

![]() BTW, re: travelling with everyone again, if you see a good adventure that's recruiting, let me know. Probably not going to see many until all the other Outpost adventures finish up though. I've only been playing PFS2 since GenConline, and I've mostly played Quests/Bounties (the non-repeatables I've played are this one, 1-02, 1-05, 1-07, 2-01 and 2-05), so I'm open to playing whatever I can! I'm sorry. I had planned to have Oiyeron reply to Kei's earlier comments about keeping the Necromancer alive, while they rode out of town on the cart (and even had it written up) but Paizo's website decided to crap out on me when I tried to add it to my post. Then I realized it was time to close up shop (business is really slow right now, so I can often catch up on RPGs during my work day), and by the time I got home, everything had wrapped. :( ![]()

Yeah, I've got some of those, too. Mostly from back in Living Greyhawk, we had a really good local community who had a lot of fun together (I first met my eventual husband at a local LG weekend gaming con): - A Special Interactive event where a Royal Wedding was crashed by monkeys and apes of all kinds, where I got to mini-LARP the crazy druid commanding them. - My halfling infiltrating a lawful-evil noble's dinner party disguised as one of their halfling slaves and getting to move freely around the mansion while the rest of my mostly chaotic-good tall folk companions were forced to mingle (ha-ha!). ...And then stumbling upon the big bad monster fight all alone.
- Me as a GM getting to use the Hand of Vecna on a character at a high-level table of good friends and Nat 20 critting him with a Disintegrate... After rolling every d6 at the table (80d6 is a lot of dice) I was apologizing profusely... But he actually survived, by the small amount of temporary HP he had gained from the Vampiric Touch he'd used on BBE the round before (the action that had led BBE to target him with the Disintegrate). ![]()

This has been lots of fun, thank you for playing along with me and Oiyeron so much, everyone. There have been so many times over my 20+ years (off and on) of organized play/living campaigns that I'll have character backstory and personality all over the place and the other players and GM are like "can we just move along?" (And some of that is the limits of the 4-hour convention format, I know). So, I appreciate it when people really want to ROLE play, not ROLL play. Random, possibly interesting character info dump, shortened, for your scrolling sanity:
Another of my characters is Oiyeron's wife Ria, I have no idea when or how they're going to find each other, but they're both going to be tragically just missing each other or something because I can't really play two characters in one adventure, lol. Something I'm exploring with them is how their Faith was affected by the fall of Lastwall. Oiyeron wasn't particularly religious before, but is clinging to his family's faith in his family's absence. Ria, though, has gone the opposite, she has lost trust in the crusader gods (Iomedae, Torag, etc) for 'letting' the Tyrant win and her family scattered or dead, and now only really trusts in herself (she'll accept Divine magics, she's not going full Laws of Mortality, she's just not going to expect any divine help being behind any given situation). I like to write side and back stories for my characters, I'll write something with them meeting up at some point down the road. :)
Watery Soup wrote: I do the same thing with several characters of mine... My Kobold Cleric from the frozen North-East was taught Medicine by my Paladin and her Cleric husband from the Wrath of the Righteous campaign my husband ran years ago. They've 'retired' from being near-demigods to have a family and serve in the Temple of Sarenrae in Kenabres. I want to play one of their kids some day, but as of 4721 AR they're kinda still babies. ![]()

![]() Sorry, all, almost forgot I had signed up for this. I had been waiting to see which character would be free for this and then had a busy week and then today decided to check what exactly I'd signed up for on the spreadsheet. Character I wanted to play is still tied up, so new character incoming. Will get info posted soon. ![]()

Yep, it's right. Joined PFS when it very first launched (hubby and I were Living Greyhawk veterans), but there wasn't a lot of PFS offered locally (LG kinda burned a lot of people out on Living Campaigns). My husband and I became co-Venture-Captains for our area in early 2011, trying to get PFS going in the area, but that turned out to be just as I got pregnant with our first kid. We stepped down as VCs abt 6 mo after he was born. We played a Pathfinder home game every week, but never quite got a chance to do much PFS. Hence, low number, but very little games played. Since moving across the country and losing our home game, I've started trying to do a few PFS games online. Decided to do a few 1e games before they fade away. Play-by-post is a bit more my speed right now, with 3 kids under 9 yrs old. ![]()

Hmm, well, she is only level 3 because of how I decided (only 3 weeks ago) to assign GM credits from adventures I ran after the first and only time I ever played her (the 3 First Steps scenarios, way back in 2011), I will just reassign one of those credits to make her only 2nd and switch to her 2nd lvl character sheet. Hey, looking at the 2nd lvl sheet, the rolls I've made so far haven't even changed, lol. She's still got a spell book, but she's working on learning how to use magic instead of knowing some already. ![]()

Because she likes to make sure that recorded information is accurate, Sisya clarifies that she’s only part Human, she is also part Orc. (If given a chance, she goes on to explain that she is unsure of the exact percentage of her human vs. orcish heritage, as she never knew her parents, but she has relatively small tusks, and only slightly green-tinged Vudrani-looking features, which implies a balance a bit more towards the human side). ![]()
![]() Looking to join anything PF2, open to play whatever your party needs! I just want to play something. PbP is going to be my speed right now, since in-person games are out of the question, and live games online are just not happening with little kids who want to interrupt mommy constantly any time she tries to play something. ![]()
![]() So, my husband and I were local Venture-Captains years ago (before kids made life too busy), and we each have some characters (all under 3rd lvl) that we played a few times (they mostly leveled up by us GMing), but our character binders might be long-lost. The scenarios we GMed and played are listed here on the site, though, so we have some record of XP at least. Is there any way we can recreate their paperwork and play them where we left off, or will we have to start over completely? ![]()
![]() Greetings all, My husband and I are working on starting a new "Chapter" to meet at a local library in the Salt Lake City, Utah metro area. As we are just stating to work things out with the library, we are probably several months out from holding public events (Our target is mid-June). However, we are trying to get our potential GMs up to speed both on the campaign and on its various story arcs. Where do you all suggest we start things off; both with the GMs and then at our game days with players just coming into the game (or, in some cases, roleplaying in general)? Are there some good story arc staring places, "must-play" scenarios, etc.? We, and all of our current GMs, are Living Greyhawk alumni, so we kinda know the drill; but as we are late to the Pathfinder Society OP, we are looking for a little guidance. Thanks in Advance! ![]()
![]() My husband and I and some friends are contemplating starting a monthly Pathfinder gameday in Salt Lake City, in the tradition of the Living Greyhawk gamedays we used to run a few years ago. We're looking to see what kind of interest there would be in a Pathfinder gameday in SLC, and if there would be people willing to both play and be DMs. ![]()
