Starsoul takes a moment to catch his breath. He's never broken a man's arm before, but he senses that he might have to again before it was his time to leave Arzata. The Universe wanted him to meet these other people, but why? And magic was real too? He wonders if the spellcasters are manipulating their prana somehow. And if they are, does that mean he could do it too...? Instead of aiding in the investigation, Starsoul moves over to the documents written in Sanskrit and starts reading.

Assuming he's no more than five feet away, Starsoul rushes over to strike at the soft tissue between Minarik's ribs, using his first unarmed attack to grab the fleshy mound of clustered nerves with three calloused fingers and the second attack to twist it as hard as he possibly can. Either way, there was no indication of forced entry. Driving back with Dave, Starsoul makes a game of keeping his soiled bare feet off the ground for as long as he can.

I've always been pro-botting/shuffling things on. Pace is the lifeblood of a PbP and waiting on each player to have a say when some are gone for extended periods seems to be the surest and fastest way to end one of these games.

Starsoul watches the convention of the three odd gentlemen as he greedily chows down on the Chakra Eggplant house special: braised eggplant with black bean sauce served on a scallion pancake. Between the Russian lit professor and the skinny Steven Seagal, it's clear to the young yogi that these guys had no business being together. No normal business anyway. The most recent arson was around this part of town, wasn't it? Starsoul muses. Maybe these guys were somehow involved and have returned to the scene of the crime...? Or they're back to strike again! Starsoul waits for the group to move before following stealthily behind. Oh, this will be fun.

Half-awake and gazing at the nearby mountainscape, Starsoul tunes in and out to "Arzata Abnormal" as his Greyhound approaches the podcast's eponymous city. Though he yawns from the long day of travel, he's excited to finally get to visit Arzata, the last destination on his road trip from one supernatural location in North America to the next. Though his time in Sedona was underwhelming, he has high hopes for his time in Arzata; listening to Stacy Know always got his third eye chakra spinning. That has to be a good sign, right? Starsoul grabs his canvas duffle bag and dumbek from the overhead bin as the Greyhound pulls to a stop at the Azarta transportation hub, but staggers for a moment as he steps off the bus. There's something unsettling about the city that he can't quite place. Maybe the recent string of arson had something to do with it. Still listening to the podcast, Starsoul walks barefoot towards the city center, Googling "Arzata vegan food" on his smartphone as he goes. Starsoul doesn't have ranks in either of those Knowledge skills. :( |
