Maria Socorro Castillo Santiago
Maria gets some rope (you know, those hook things? Can't think of what they are called... They're usually used to keep the trunk lid mostly closed if something large is in the trunk) and helps tie him up, before he wakes (remember, it's only 1 round per level)
rando1000
The man is groggily waking, but I'm assuming at this point Dave, and possibly Joey and Valda, have approached and are looking menacing. You manage to tie Minarik, who realizes he's overpowered and isn't willing to risk his life on this. But you don't need a Sense Motive roll to know this guy is seething with hate toward Maria at this moment. You have no doubt he'd kill you where you stand if he could. There's something not right about him.
Joseph "Joey" Adams
Helping the others drag Minarik back into his house, he beams a grin at Maria and exclaims, "Wonderful! Simply wonderful! You did perfect! Perhaps you'll have to teach me this magics someday - it could come in handy in my field!"
After they secure the captain in his home, Joey makes sure to close and lock the door behind them and that all the blinds on the windows are lowered before quickly walking through the home and seeing if anyone is inside, though not really giving focus towards any keen details.
Take ten on perception as he checks the rooms in the house for any visitors or guests.
rando1000
Captain Minarik's house looks like a permanent stake-out. It's obvious he's been using the house more as a base than as a home for some time. Ancient sketches from the Middle East and Indian subcontinent cover the walls, as well as several smatterings of Sanskrit writings. A table in the center of the room hosts a device that looks like a miniature fireplace, kind of a permanent pyre, though you can't see a power source. Next to it is a meditation pillow.
A cursory search reveals no one else in the house, though the table in the kitchen appears to have hosted a discussion of at least four persons relatively recently.
As you drag the defeated sorcerer into the house, he comments with a chuckle. "You're too late. Far too late. The ritual will be complete soon, even without me. And then you will all burn."
Joseph "Joey" Adams
Listening to the man promising their doom, Joey responds, "Alright, we're doomed then. You've already won. Why don't you explain to us how your genius plan all worked out for you and how clever you all are? Are you part of a Hindi fire cult?"
Hoping to convince the captain that he has nothing to lose in revealing more of his plan, the investigator plays his tone carefully to sound defeated.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
rando1000
"Such a small mind," he says, turning his head in mock regret. "The origins are Hindu, for certain, but the portal we are opening, it's cosmic, universal. Can you even imagine the glory of gods walking among us? That's our sole aim. As is fitting, we started with the fire god, whose knowledge leads to the others..."

'Such a small mind.'
Isagoras stops DEAD at whatever the hell he's doing and turns, in place, slowly, to stare at the trussed Captain.
"Eh?" is all he manages...at first.
He walks over to where the fiend gloats, holding court in his base/prison.
"You wouldst DARE spout such diabolical kibble so entrenched as the current moments bears unto you witness? When last Isagoras the Light checked, 'twas these so-called small-minds that didst now walk upon THY secured ground and one who bears THINE OWN guise sat trussed at mercy's hand!
And now thy wouldst claim the superior position held? Upon which investment of data wouldst thy claim such great store of succor? Hast thou hosts of demons at thy call? Or does such glory of gods thou mention take place on the next second's time to come to aid's call?
Fie! I say unto you FIE! Tis THOU what doest hath the smallest of minds, in DELUSION of greatness! I see this, thy Place of Power, and no great works do strike mine sight. Where ist thy art if not here? Where ist such arcane symbols to writhe and arc to put proof of thy understanding sublime?
I say thou art CHARLATAN! I mere trickster who PLAYS at art, but, having no ken of thy own, you camper about like a fool full of wine, spouting INANITIES and speaking of fruit WITHOUT seed!
Yes, you appear quite mighty, trussed and bound. But soft! 'Twere there aught else that thou might speak and be heard by ears understood, what speech might one say that could give the lie unto -me-, and thy greatness be put beyond question?"
K(occult): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Basically I'm saying that he isn't wearing any pants, so if he wants be to believe that he does wear pants, he needs to tell me where the pants are, or I'm gonna tell everyone he's a guy who doesn't wear pants. Metaphorically. ;-)
rando1000
"Untie me, then, you kook," Captain M replies spitefully. "Witch won't sucker punch me again, and I'll freely battle you all. More sacrifices mean a faster becoming!"
Starsoul1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Isagoras1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Valda1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Maria1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Starsoul pipes in with something he's noticed: "Something is burning...His hands are free!"
I'm going to use previous initiative:
Starsoul = 19
Maria = 17
Captain M = 16
Joey = 6
Valda = 6
Dave = 13
Isagoras = 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

Noticed something funny when deciding on my action (will wait to see what Starsoul does before I post it just in case his action affects mine) that I don't even have Charm Person memorized haha. So, the way this went is how it had to lol
Starsoul
Assuming he's no more than five feet away, Starsoul rushes over to strike at the soft tissue between Minarik's ribs, using his first unarmed attack to grab the fleshy mound of clustered nerves with three calloused fingers and the second attack to twist it as hard as he possibly can.
Flurry 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage 1: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Flurry 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage 2: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
In the event that we're encircling him, Starsoul's attacks may get a +2 for flanking. Also, as far as I can tell, Minarik hasn't acted yet, so he's flat-footed. >:)
rando1000
Sorry to jump past you, glad you could hop in on time anyway. I hate to bug people with PM and prefer to assume if you're not posting, you'll get to it when you have time.
Both easily hit. However, he's still in the land of consciousness.
NOW it's Maria's action.
Maria Socorro Castillo Santiago
Maria says something in Latin and makes some strange gestures, then puts her thumbs together, her fingers outspread, as a wave of fire sprays from her fingers. (Burning Hands, 15ft cone, DC 15 reflex for half) Hopefully I can position the cone to catch him on the edge, and not have any friendly fire.
Burning Hands: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2
wow
Maria pulls out her deck of tarot cards and throws one at Minarik.
Deadly Dealer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Deadly Dealer Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Lol OH GOD NOT THE LOW ROLLS!! IT'S LIKE THEY KNOW WHEN TO SCREW WITH US! Isagoras' reaction to M's insult was precious too XD
Realizing that the captain has broken free of his binds, Joey chews his lip as he considers his options and awaits his turn.
Gun or fist... Gun or fist... Shit, this is going to be a tough choice...
rando1000
The fire singes the Captain, who seems to savor the pain it brings. Pointing at Maria and saying a command word, a flaming arrow appears out of nowhere and zings toward her.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Ouch! Maria feels her fire returned on her several fold;
4d4 ⇒ (2, 1, 2, 4) = 9
remember Action Points can avoid 5 damage per
Joseph "Joey" Adams
So is he considered helpless? Or just currently loses his dex bonus for being tied but having free hands? O: If he is helpless Joey's going to attempt a Coup de Grace on him, seeing as how dangerous this guy is with almost rendering Maria unconscious in one blow O:
rando1000

He's not helpless. I'm basically considering him grappled, except since his hands are free I'm not making him roll to cast.
Lol Only Dave could manage to hit on a nat1! xD
D'oh! that's what I get for looking at the total rather than the entire string! A natural 1 would always miss, but since I already called it, I'm letting it stand. Happy birthday, Dave!

Careful everyone, take one wrong step around me and the universe might explode. "
Starsoul
Seeing how much of a threat he is, Starsoul attempts to snap Minarik's outstretched arm as the flaming bolt materializes.
AoO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Damage 1: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
rando1000
The AOO injured him severely, but he's still awake (barely; almost like you can see him mumbling to Howard Cosell after a boxing match).
Isagoras, then (if somehow, he doesn't take the guy down) Joey and Valda. Go ahead as you see this and I'll describe it as it happens.
Isagoras the Light

Isagoras frowns and shouts, "Do not take me for a conjurer of cheap tricks! I AM trying to rob you!"
He summons an ephemeral glob of acid from the aether, the special kind that only those deeply schooled in Conjuration can summon. He hurls it at the captain's face.
ranged touch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
It was either that or "Young fool. Only now, at the end, do you understand." =-) [The Emperor at the end of Jedi.]"
Joseph "Joey" Adams
With a fierce glare in his eyes as he sees the intensity of the strike against Maria, Joey steps forward and places the barrel of his gun to the side of the captain's head, saying, "You DON'T hit girls."
Coup de Grace Damage: 2d8 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11
"...Especially not with fire."
So if he survives that, he's gotta make a DC21 fort save or die anyway, though judging by your remark it doesn't sound like he has much HP left anyway xD Always better to be save though! And @Maria, he said that we should get 5 action points per story arc, if I understood him correctly, so you should have four left until we reach the next big part of the story :) And lol Isagoras, I think Justin's going to wake up from this scene as a dream the next time they go to sleep. xDD FOREVER CROSS-REFERENCING!!
Regardless of if Minarankrrankaknar is dead or not, Joey's next turn is going to be him helping Maria drink one of his CLW extracts so she recovers 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 health.

STOP DIVIDING BY ZERO, GDI DAVE!
Joseph "Joey" Adams
I'll have Joey give Maria the CLW extract then so they can safely search his house without a time constraint. Don't want any cops showing up. Plus Joey won't really feel right with killing someone that's knocked out already. He's more the type to wait until you wake up then off you xD
"Here, drink this, Mari. It'll make you feel better." Joey holds the extracts vial up to the witch's lips so that she can drink it and receive its effects as normal.
"Let's get to searching this place then, huh? Let's really tear into it - leave no stone unturned and no table unflipped," he says as he needlessly pushes a little end table over, holding no benefits for their search but still feeling satisfied by the action.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
God dangit, Joey's too caught up in needlessly making a mess to really be of any use xD
Joseph "Joey" Adams
Seeing how fluidly Dave searches the scene, Joseph thinks to himself, He makes it look so easy..
Lmfao Dave's entered FOCUS MODE xD
rando1000
There's a lot to examine, but one thing Dave notices after a few minutes, that might be very useful, is a pile of desert photographs that seem to be in the area. They're taken from various positions as if to triangulate on a very specific spot in a valley.
Someone give me a knowledge/nature or survival check to see if you can determine approximate location from the positioning of the sun and landmarks.

Maria drinks the potion, wondering how Joey doesn't know about magic yet has these potions.
"Why am I reminded of a psychopath, a sex toy tycoon, and a stripper out in the desert digging for treasure right now?" she asks as she looks at the desert photos.
This is what she's referencing. Like really, photos like this found in a safe is how they knew where to dig.
