Just got done playing Crypt of the Everflame at Aethercon and my poor Chika was so unsuited for it.
I am unsure if she will fit well with the next one I have lined up for her, The Citadel of Flame.
She is really good with living opponents that she can use enchantments on, and she can heal, but against undead and constructs she is pretty much just a guidance bot right now.
Her upcoming chronicle sheet will give her second level, but it looks like arcanists have a famine of benefits every other level, so 2nd gives little more than hps.
Two of us ended the game at 0 hps and our tank was down with well below that and only stable because I cast stabilize from a distance. Man that was a rough adventure for 1-2 level players.
this character is an unlettered arcanist, and probably just as unsuited to society plat as my rogue was. All social stuff and putting people to sleep and charming them etc
As an addendum, I love how helpful everyone in this community is.
I've only had maybe one off statement about gender that troubled me during a game, and it was not terrible really.
I've had really bad experiences with gaming when I was younger and you guys have quickly been renewing my faith in the community.
is there a crit on it? The desc just says 1d4, I'm wondering if there is info on bite attacks somewhere else?
Title sums it up. My Kitsune has a str of 8, does her bite attack dmg and to hit have a -1?
okay perfect, the only document I can't seem to edit is the new player book one.
Bit frustrating.
okay so what do I fill in for the character chronicle number?
half dead city was actually two encounters. We explored two separate areas on two separate days. And yea I poked the gm of We B4 Goblins earlier.
I know how much gold I have now, I've been keeping track meticulously for the most part. I bought some stuff after the last adventure.
DO I actually need to fill out all these sheets if I can just keep a running tally of worth, etc somewhere?
It's awkward using the sheets, tbh.
okay so I am level 2, time to go back and reverse that heh.
Is penumbral accords a scenario or a module? A scenario I assume.
Is We b4 Goblins a scenario or a module? Also a scenario?

These are the three sheets that have been sent to me.
ahh Okay. All right so I have done three adventures and one was a two part. One lists itself as worth 3 exp, but I read somewhere that each adventure is only worth one exp. So either I have 5 exp or 4 exp I think. Level two either way. But I need to work that out.
There is a huge amount of paper work involved in all of this. You guys have been very patient and helpful with me and I appreciate it.
Hmm I may actually only be level two. I wish my GMs had been more thorough with these sheets. It's hard for me to figure out what I'm doing with all this paperwork.
I might be 1 xp shy of three or I might be three, I don't know, and I don't think I have a chronicle from the first one so I have requested it.
yea I am also keeping a light mace on my rogue from now on because fighting skeletons sucks otherwise.
yea I bought a potion. I've been tracking my gold but it is definitely hard. As is tracking my characters weight allowance.
Oh I think I forgot to ask. Next adventure I should have enough money for a +1 rapier, can I buy it or would it have to be on a chronicle sheet? Do I need a certain amount of fame?
Cool I'll get that, also it looks like I double posted, bleh.
I don't have a printer, though my parents do (they live an hour away though and I visit maybe once a week)
I live in cattle country, there's not really places I could print my stuff out here. It's all loooong drives. Not that that will entirely stop me, but it slows the process.
So I just save these chronicle sheets in case someone asks for them?
I don't actually have adobe acrobat to fill out those forms but I'll use paint or something I guess.
I don't generally play in in person cons, so I've seen a surprising amount of CORE games being played online.
And yea I know about the non-core games, I have a standard character for those who is, I think, more powerful.
are these sheets I'm filling out? The player info sheet under my account settings? the chronicle sheet?
I just want to be able to play in core games, I have a standard character I will probably get to play in Aethercon actually.
I actually do like core better. I have a lot of pdfs, just stopped keeping up after awhile, and I've been investing more in CoC products atm. As well as Fate.
I've worked more on the character, did math on weight carried and money spent. I'm debating spending more money on another cure moderate wounds potion, but I want to save up for magic weapons.
This character is now level 3, the details for that should be added by the GM shortly and I have the chronicle sheet for my last game.
Feel free to look at what I've done now that it is set in stone, I hope I didn't make any mistakes in leveling up, etc.
I forget, do you get attribute boosts in pathfinder? I vaguely remember that from 3.5.
unchained isn't core, keeping this character core if possible
I'm sorry to keep asking dumb questions but the link you provided seems to be missing so much and all the info is spread out.
Where is there an exp chart? I played part one and two (I think) of Mummy's Mask. I now have 6 xp based on my chronicle sheets. Am I second or third level? Or just provide a link to the table, if you could.
Since my PP are listed where I can't edit them, do I just mark on my sheet what I've spent?
I'm going to do rapier/dagger for two weapon fighting. Shame I can't finesse that hooked hammer, it would be fun.
I haven't seen myself accrue any fame. Is that normal?
750 gp limit, is that the max I can spend at level 1? What about level 2?
oh and if anyone wants to look over my standard campaign kitsune which I will be playing at Aethercon..
http://paizo.com/people/Chika

yea the gnome weapon is two handed, not very roguelike but it seemed like it would do the job, the links for my character should reflect differently now. I have both weapon finesse from gaining second level as a rogue talent and two weapon fighting.
How do HPs go at second level? Max again or half or what? I am having a hard time finding a lot of the specific info for the society. There's a book that might have the info but it costs about $15 and I just sunk a bunch of money on cathulhu, secret of cats, and cthulhu for president.
Also, I was told by a GM to buy a wand of CLW with prestige points, which I think I still have all of them listed, I may have used some of them on that wand but I'm not sure and I don't see a place where it lists how much prestige one of those wands costs.
Trying to upkeep a character on the kind of barebones list paizo has as well as a more detailed sheet is making for some confusion, if there are any inconsistencies please point them out to me.
I have a Pathfinder game tomorrow, not society though. I will be playing a warpriest with a 23 AC and I am looking forward to not getting beat to a pulp. Any bigger armor and I would have needed a squire or hireling to help me with it hehe.
PS I don't think I have the funds for a rapier +1, so for now it will just be a regular rapier. Can I buy a rapier +1 with prestige, and is it available anytime in between games or does it have to be on the chronicle sheet?
Hey, so I've played 4 games so far now and am about to level my gnome up to second level, but I have reworked her, knowing I could do this until I hit 2nd level. A lot of times I was unable to help the party or nearly died so I have made her a bit more combat ready and given her a nasty weapon. I wanted some advice before I flip the switch and take her to level 2 if people could look her over and judge the best way to finish her off.

Thanks in advance.
yea I need that prestige for when I inevitably die though. (Is prestige universal or character specific?)
It sounds like there is a list of professions out there though. Is it in that book?
Yea I have almost died twice, admittedly once with a pregen. My characters aren't really built for combat. I will hoard prestige in that case.
So another question that is unrelated, what professions, the ones I can use during downtime, are acceptable. I wanted profession: pickpocket but it occurred to me that that might be illegal. Is there a list somewhere?
all right, looks like one gm filled it out, the other left it blank, assuming 1 xp for now, since it was We B4 Goblins.
How does dying work btw. Do I lose my character or do I wake up on the temple floor yet again without the rewards of the adventure?
Okay, so I have played in two sessions/scenarios now with my CORE character (which is my first one.)
The GMs updated my stuff but I don't see my exp, only prestige points. Do I get 1 xp per scenario or does the GM decide and it is located somewhere I am missing? How do I update it?

No no, he wants the Peoples' Front of Judea.
even that's kind of crummy. I could never play a separate game from my boyfriend at the same time he is playing another game, assuming we were at a con or whatever. Though we are far more likely to be playing together and not separately. We have only recently considered gaming at cons. I went to GenCon the first year WotC took over TSR and haven't been to any actual in person cons since then. Online I only ever played in the FGCon I mentioned one time, and nothing else.
Playing with strangers is new to me, but my in person gaming group is utterly unreliable. One of them now has 5 kids so he is weighed down by a ton of responsibility, one seems to blame his girlfriend any time he doesn't want to play, one just... doesn't always show, and the other wants every character he makes and his RP to be a comedy routine.
I've thought about putting up an ad at the local hobby store, but my social anxiety has me hesitant. Might be better to play online first.

I have only played one session as of now within the PFS with a pregen, (though I have played Pathfinder outside of it and am somewhat familiar with the rules, sometimes they just mix together with 3.5 in my head though.)
I am looking to play in some online gaming groups and cut my teeth on this stuff. I am okay with higher level stuff if I can play a pregen, but I would really like to play Sprag, my 1st level gnome rogue.
A GM that could guide me through standard character creation would certainly be great, as well, as I am trying to decide what to make and what I can do for that. I want to keep Sprag as a CORE character and have a standard character available.
As an aside, what races are allowed in Standard? Assuming it's not too long a list. I checked the list of stuff but it was huge and not a lot of it listed races. Any books I do have are at home, so I am currently unable to check them. (Well, I could log on my bf's account and download them but I don't know if this computer's owner would be cool with that.)
Really, regarding the topic's title, I'll play anything, that's just my preference.
Also, another question.
My boyfriend's name is on all the books we own. Some of the stuff for standard play and maybe even core you have to own the books for to use. I mean, do I actually have to buy a second copy of the supplements? That seems ridiculous. We've been together for over 20 years so I think such things can be considered property of both of us.
Hey, I've looked in the core books for this and found nothing. I've also checked the SRD.
I made a CORE character, here is the link: Sprag Heshune
I can't find anything regarding what homelands or divinity she can have as a CORE character. Or actually, any information on it at all.
Does anyone have any advice on this?
I played my first PFS game at FGCon online, it was We B4 Goblins, so I hadn't made a character yet, I used a pregen. Is there something I need to do to get the game recorded on my file or does the GM do it? He sent me a sheet with some boon info and stuff.
(It was a super fun game and I would love a chance to play the games it is a prequel to.)
