I probably don't want to go running in from outside since I don't actually know where I would be going and that'd probably blow the cover story that was tricky to earn. But if you want me to, just let me know.

I got a little behind again towards the end of last week, working longer than usual hours and feeling kinda crappy (not COVID-like symptoms though so that's good. Mostly just worn out, I think. I slept a lot. Looks like I am "off screen" right now anyway so hopefully I wasn't holding anything up.

Why yes, I do have Message. I can get 4 targets.

Before the group enters Sorix casts message on all the Ravens except herself (unless someone would prefer to not take it and I will cast it on myself).

"Yeah, Cassie. Just strut right in like you're in charge. Show the documents, demand they turn over the prisoner to us, and don't take any guff."

Apologies in advance: probably can't make another gameplay post until Monday. I'm out of town at my parents' house, still working my day job remotely and trying to juggle family hang-out time around my crazy work deadlines. If I can get a post in before bedtime I will, but no promises. Thanks!

Sorry for the delay—I got back on track as far as posting regularly and feeling more excited/motivated recently but right now I'm visiting my parents a few hours from home—before we all start getting back to "normal" life. We didn't have wifi until this afternoon. Anyway, I gotta keep it brief for now.

Sorix will cast Disguise Self on herself just before we begin this little mission, and use one of the kits for some added help with the little details. disguise: 1d20 + 2 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 10 + 2 = 17

"Agreed. I feel confident I can do it though. Maybe just look it over once I am done and see if you spot anything I overlooked or could be better?"

Maybe anyone who's trained in Linguistics roll for an aid (that's what I meant by 'look it over')? And IIRC my Linguistics bonus is better than Ruba's so it would make sense mechanically. It's still a secret check so we won't know until we try and we better be ready if the forgery is spotted.

Sorix snorts at Cass's whispered remark then tries to cover it up with a fake clearing of her throat. She whispers back as quietly as she can, "Look at me, I'm insecure about something so I cover it up by acting like I'm the Hurricane Queen of the Shackles."

"If it's all the same to you all, I would like to try writing up the transfer papers and reassignment orders. I could take Ruba's work and use it as a first draft, then see if I can't refine it and make it that much more convincing?"

Mechanically, use the stuff we paid Ruba to do as a Masterwork Tool for Linguistics, and use my own Linguistics bonus (12) for the check, if that would work?

Holding the Asmodean garb out in front of her, by Sorix’s expression you might think she was actually holding a dirty diaper. She then sighs and dons the disguise. ”I can magically disguise myself as well—I was thinking if I were a little uglier and looked like I had a stick up my butt I’d look even more like a real Asmodean.” Sorix holds out a scroll and says, ”If any of you know how to activate this you can use it. It only works on the person casting it though." (disguise self is on the Bard list or if anyone has a decent UMD (DC 21 and you need at least an 11 INT, or emulate the INT score which is a separate DC 26 check—you can try it).

Catching up—again. I'm very sorry for such sparse posting as of late. I really do anticipate things smoothing out enough for me to actually be an active participant rather than 'Sorix follows along with everyone' once or twice a week. I feel bad and I appreciate very much you all giving me some slack right now. Gonna read through everything and get a gameplay post up.

Just to be clear before I continue, we are intending to ask her to forge the prisoner transfer documents, correct? There was some discussion about us doing it ourselves if we had the tools, but I want to be clear before making a guess at our intent.

I haven't read through everything I missed past this (yet) but my intent was to purchase from her a masterwork tool (linguistics) and forge it ourselves.

EDIT: Looks like the deal was made for her to do it. I'd still like to purchase the aforementioned masterwork tool for future use.

Hey all! I got way behind on my PbP last week. Had some kinda rough IRL personal stuff and also work was kicking my butt, finishing 2 really big projects. But those projects are done! Gonna read through everything I missed now.

Sorix joins Cass and Mawl on the trip to Ruba's shop, fairly quiet but also obviously happy knowing the Ravens are advancing in their efforts against Barzalai, one small step at a time. Outside the shop, Sorix replies to Cassie, "Ruba's name was given to us directly, so I don't think there's a real need for any kind of deception. Discretion is always good though. Let's just tell her what we need, yeah?"

"Still might be helpful to visit Ruba though. She might have some resources to help."

Masterwork tool: linguistics would mechanically add +2 circumstance bonus. And flavor-wise, I would think her shop would sell something like that.

posting in all my groups: besides the whole COVID thing, and the bizarre earthquake that hit my area this morning, I'm going through a couple of pretty rough (but temporary) personal things in my life. As Surexia chats up the men, Sorix smiles and waves when they look her way.

Sorix cautiously waits back with the other Silver Ravens, petting Luna's fuzzy little head. (mostly just letting y'all know I'm here/following along)

Sorix keeps quiet and calm as Cass sweet-talks the guards. After getting past and trudging through the muck for a while, Sorix stops periodically to use prestidigitation to clean her boots and bottoms of her robes, offering the same to anyone else who’d like it.

After approaching near the shrine and seeing the guards, Sorix just kinda shrugs and absently pets Luna. ”I’ll go along with whatever you all think.”

"Yeah, if you know a more discreet route, by all means. I can prestidigitate our boots clean once we're out if needed."

As soon as the magical talking bird statue delivers the message, Sorix quickly grabs her things and makes her way to the Wasp’s Nest. Before approaching the toll bridge she uses a scroll of disguise self on herself, modifying her appearance to that of an ordinary middle-aged, middle-class female citizen of Kintargo. If asked her destination/reason for crossing she’ll keep her eyes down and say something about just doing some errands/shopping.

After getting caught up on recent events, Sorix tries to recall what she might know about the Order of the Torrent:

K I’m finally done updating my character. I spent 1325 between the wand of magic missile and scribing scrolls, which I’ll settle up in Hero Lab once the loot stuff has been finalized. Also, with all that scribing, Sorix has just been holed up in her room at the Aulorian estate.

Sorix is absent for the next few days. At some point she sends one of the silver raven figurines to her fellow Silver Ravens, saying, ”Hey guys—I’m just back in my room making scrolls. How’s everything going?”

I really wanted to get a good post up today, and finish updating my character. But I couldn’t sleep very well last night—I only got ~3 hours sleep. Then I had another very busy day at work. I feel like garbage and need to just go home and lay down. I really should be able to get a good post up tomorrow. My apologies again, all.

Fully leveled from 3 to 4, profile updated. Still need to spend some time deciding on scrolls to be scribed. I am definitely sure I'll have time tomorrow! Apologies for dragging my feet on this.

I'm sure we'll all want a cloak of resistance eventually but for now, I'd rather have it on Surexia who's probably more likely to need to make saves more often than me.

I still need to finish leveling from 3 to 4 and decide what scrolls I will scribe in our 2 weeks of in-game downtime, which I will do by tomorrow.

Looks like I "gave" myself 1041.4 gp when I leveled up from 1 to 2 (I use Hero Lab). And I took the scroll of dispel magic we recently found. I think that's it as far as my interactions with party loot.

Sorix will spend a good amount of time undisturbed in her room at the Aulorian residence scribing scrolls. She'll also do a bit of shopping.

Sorry for the relatively flavorless post. @GM may I purchase a wand of magic missile? I might have other items I'd like, depending on how much gold I currently have. Thanks!

OK so I'm looking at the loot sheet. I'm unclear on how much gold to give myself as I level up.

I've had a very very busy past few days but I'm really going to try to get leveled up tonight. Thx for patience.

Sorry I haven't posted since Tuesday, especially in this tense moment in the game. I'm just finishing this HUGE project at work I've been working on since October. After work, I have my home Pathfinder game so I won't be able to post until tomorrow. But I will post as soon as I can tomorrow morning.

Sorix’s spell finishes and Mawl starts to slowly heal. (The spell gives Fast Healing 1—heal 1 HP per round) Sorix looks hesitant at Horillo’s suggestion. ”Um, I guess I can try…” She then finds the never-used dagger on her person and holds it with both hands above the ogrekin’s neck.
CdG is a full-round action and I was not armed before.

I'm officially out of spells besides cantrips.

"Hang in there, big guy!" Sorix moves back to a more safe position behind Mawl, swiftly pops a scroll from one of her spring-loaded wrist sheaths, and begins the 1-round casting (infernal healing)

@Sorix You wouldn't have line of effect to the woman from there and I don't see any other options that don't open you up to an AoO. Let me know how you want to proceed.

Ah, missed that corner. I moved my token; see the new red cone. Should be good/legal, no AOO, no allies hit.

Hm, these Asmodeans don’t seem like too much of a threat to us, but that big guy...And was Surexia yelling at someone else around the corner? I should just keep making Mawl more powerful.

”Time for more SuperMawl™! Don't move too far from me just yet, buddy.” Sorix retrieves a scroll from her bandolier and begins casting the spell scribed upon it. Enlarge Person, 1-round cast, which will use up my next turn’s standard action since I needed my move action to retrieve the scroll. Close range spell, so please stay within 25' of me until the spell finishes.

Sensing that her group could be in for a tough fight, Sorix casts bull's strength on Mawl.

Sorix steps forward 5 feet and quickly surveys the situation in the next room then conjures a magical cloud of golden particles around the hulking man/not-man and the two Asmodeans nearest the creature.

So sorry for the sparse posting! Work has been kicking my butt with tons of overtime and I've had other stuff going on in my life interfering with my PbP games. I just finished working late yet again and need to run right to another thing. But I’ll post tomorrow for sure, and REALLY try to get back to posting daily.
