I'd miss the status line too. As well as the ability to differentiate between in-character and out-of-character text in normal posts. We can (and probably should) make a separate channel for Discussion, like here, but the ability to have one-liners in the regular posts is nice. Although I suppose we could post it in italics or something like that.

The multiple dice roll issue doesn't bother me as much. I think it'd really only come into play if more than one person was posting at once, interrupting each other. If I'm making 4 posts in a row, they'll show up like one big one from me.

As to your spoiler point, Paul, I think there's a bot for that.

With that, Sigurd's voice booms out through the fog. He is singing a song of battle and trust in Gorum to give them victory.

As he sings, spirits of the dead come up from the ground and surround the group, ready to strike out at the enemy.

This is the standard battle song that gives +2 STR/CON, +1 Will, and -1 AC. It also give the Lessor Spirit Totem whose rolls are under my column in the Google spreadsheet. You can choose to ignore the effects of the song if you want.

Sigurd wakes after a wonderful night's sleep. By Gorum's beard, it's nice to sleep in a bed again.

He checks on his brewing operation and finds it bubbling nicely. It seems that his old mash paddle worked it's magic once again.

It'll be a wheat bear, flavored with black and juniper berries along with appropriate hops. He'll add in some honey at the last minute too, for sweetness. The mash is stirred with a mash paddle that has been passed down through the family line for generations. Sigurd's father gave it to him when he left. Top it all off with appropriate prayers and songs to Gorum and, baby, you've got a stew goin'.

Sigurd takes the brewery kit and sets it up in an unused corner. He spends the rest of the day boiling water and mashing grains. He mixes in the various additives he's gathered during the group's travels, tasting a bit as he goes.

When he deems that everything is just right, he sets the mash aside to ferment, dubbing it "The Greenbelt Ale".

"Should be ready in one month", he announces to the rest of the group.

"Yes, good and evil are a part of nature, but does that mean evil should be tolerated? Evil drives the most terrible of actions: murder, theft, rape, and others. These are things that have no place in modern society and are touted as evil by all civilized peoples.

I respect your difficulty with taking a life, even if I don't entirely understand it. But you have to admit, sometimes the presence and influence of evil demands action by the good.

'Good and evil are a part of nature' isn't an excuse for inaction when the helpless are being assailed by the evils of this world. It is then that the gods call us to action.

Sigurd is glad to be out of that cave. It seems that he's gotten used to the wide open spaces and lush green forests of the Greenbelt. Plus, those mites gave me the willys

As he travels with his companions, he makes sure to keep his eyes open for anything of interest to the group. Those things that he does find, he practices identifying before handing anything that's too hard off to Diceros.

Sigurd takes the rope from Arlen, ties one end around her waist and the other around his. After securing the knots he says, "Hopefully, I'll be able to grab something if you fall. That way, both of us won't go down."

We don't really want to fight these guys, I think. Not because we couldn't but because I don't think we need to. Sigurd is going to try the diplomatic solution.

Sigurd keeps his hammer on his back or puts it back there (I don't remember if he's holding it or not) and holds his hands out for the mites to see.

"Look. I hold no weapon in my hands. It would take me a move action time to remove it to attack. You'd have the upper hand. I am armed, it's true, but this is an unpredictable land. We must be able to defend ourselves. But I tell you the truth, our weapons are for our defense.

Likewise, that particular kobold means you less harm than anything else you've ever come in contact with."

Sigurd smiles at that last bit, thinking how much Ike abhors violence.

For most of the rest of the day, Sigurd is able to think on Rai's suggestion and laugh. I wonder if I could make that work

Sigurd puts a lot of time into thinking about how that song would go. He writes down a few things and scratches out others. At the end, he thinks this might work into something big. He takes his notes and puts them in his pack.

The rest of his time is spent focusing on matters closer at hand. He keeps his eyes peeled in case more trolls are in the area. He also, as always, keeps his eye out for something that would go well in a new brew. He'd like to start a large brewing operation at some point; some way to bring the style of beer he knows how to make to the people of the Greenbelt. It should have a local flavor to it though.

Sigurd finds himself thoroughly enjoying the party. He attempts to match Sootscale drink for drink and does a pretty good job of it. At one point, he even teaches the kobolds one of Gorum's battle songs and the spend a good while bellowing it out loudly, their voices echoing throughout the cave.

I got a pretty good diplomacy roll to try and get Tartuk to talk. What do we want to know? More about the statue? More about him specifically? He's already kind of indicated where the mites are. Do we want to know more about them?
