I saw that we're putting the game on pause, but I figured that I'd go for this round since I'm back now.

"We've done what we can. I'm moving forward."

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Survival: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

Shane runs forward to leap across, but notices a path around just before he jumps, and runs around that way.

Seeing his companions lagging behind, and not believing the Crack in the Earth to be terribly challenging, Shane marks the path for those behind.

Not wanting to deal with the snakes, Shane scurries around them, unseen.

Shane spots and easier way around the fallen trees, but before he does, a broken branch finds his foot and he falls to the ground.

Damn! Well it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Shane creeps swiftly along the path until he notices the larger one, hops over to it, and keeps moving.

Shane has been quiet, but at the words of Wix, he responds with a squeak of ascent, almost against his own will. He looks somewhat ashamed, but determined to fight nonetheless.

Shane tries to sneak to the door, hoping to go unnoticed at first.

Shane speaks to the man for the first time, trying to subtly change the subject.

"Well, sir, have you been out in the woods recently? We've experienced some strange things--have you seen signs of unusual activity?"

I think he knows more about the risen dead than he's letting on. Perhaps we can catch him in a lie.

Shane leans down and whispers back to Wix. "I don't know of anything dangerous that tastes like garlic, so I think we're safe. Do you find it strange that she knew which way we were headed?

Shane sits quietly, pondering the events of the day.

This is certainly the most excitement I've had in a long time. I'm not sure what to expect.

I'm not used to dealing with high-born ladies like this.

"I can try to lead us out of here and back to the town, if you wish."

Shane ignores technique, twirling his staff into his hands like a club and swinging wildly at the skeleton to his right.

Shane attacks the skeleton in C6 with both ends of his Shillelaghed quarterstaff.

Brutal indeed!

Shane twirls his quarterstaff around, and then swings wildly at an oncoming skeleton.

Shane stays silent, still overwhelmed with what he has gotten himself into. He mutters some words at his quarterstaff, which seems to harden. He then peers around, looking for any sign of what caused this tragedy.

Shane casts Shillelagh on his staff. Perception to check the scene 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

"I'm not sure lycanthropy is something that can be easily explained. We should certainly stay aware though."

Shane will also take any watch. He's good at spotting things, but not so great at fending them off.

I'm not used to this adventuring. What a stressful life it must be.

"That seems like an excellent idea to me. Let's find a nice, secluded place among the trees."

"Folks," Shane says as he looks off to the left side of the road, opposite where the woman and the hunters came from. "We may have other issues on our hands."

Shane glances down at the woman, studying her quickly.

Could she really be a lycanthrope?

Not sure if either of these apply, but:

Shane's hands begin to move toward the dagger at his belt, but he thinks better of it, and stands ready to react to the men.

Keep calm, Greeney, keep calm. Don't let these men intimidate you.

Well, everyone," Shane says to his companions when he arrives back at the square. "I certainly just had an interesting experience."

Shane relates the story to his companions, and then voices his support to leaving right away.

Everyone can real the spoilers now as I tell the story.

Nope, I'll get out of there now, casting Obscuring Mist if I'm about to be grabbed or something, though hopefully I won't have to do that.

"My good sir!" Shane says in a harsh whisper. "A bit of anonymity would be appreciated!" Shane looks back to see if the one called Tamris heard, trying not to look too on edge to the barkeep.

If it looks as though Tamris didn't hear, I'd like to ask the bartender about him.

Shane attempts to sneak through the crowd, hiding behind the much larger humans in the tavern. He approaches the barkeep, orders a drink, and tries to strike up a conversation, all the while keeping an eye on the halfling and his two companions.

Stealth 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

"Rather crowded in here, isn't it? Seems like business is good." he says to the man behind the bar.

Yes, I'll continue on, but I'd like to keep a lookout for not only him, but anyone else who wants to give me any ... unwanted attention.

Shane hurries to move after the halfling, searching all around to find the direction.

Survival 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Stealth to try to keep him from seeing that I'm following 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Shane bows his head, agrees to the meeting place, and heads back to the bar for another round of mead.

"Well, I'll certainly be at home in the forest, far more than I am here. I'll be glad to be off and going as soon as everyone else is ready."

Shane instinctively reaches back to feel the quarterstaff slung over his back, and then checks his belt for the dagger that can be seen tucked into it.

Shane does his best to keep the feelings of dislike to himself when he hears mention of Cheliax, and keeps his mouth shut.

When Petracleus offers the mean, he turns to the man and nods his head, hoping for a glass himself.

I think mead may be the only thing that keeps me level-headed right now.

He turns back to Karlae, awaiting further details.

I said that I stood up and walked over to her, so I am at least near the table.

Down the bar from the barkeep, Shane Greenbottle is enjoying a mug of ale when Beau walks in.

A fellow halfling . . . good to know I'll have at least one companion on this journey who knows what it's like down here.

He chuckles to himself, finishes his ale, and stands up walks over to the Pathfinder agent.
