Already knew about that cat, I was talking about "O hai, u can haz bwain cysts"

Not at all! It makes perfect sense, considering his diabolical personality!

In our group, we saved it, payed to have it rebuilt, and added magic balistas. The Fort would have beens ours if more than one person from the group that saved Fort Rannic had survived the AP. We were the Lords of Fort Rannic, along with the Black Arrow's leader.

We killed giants, we saved people, they made us Lords. Worked out pretty well I think.

Shadow Kitten
A cute little black kitten walks into the room, meowing at you. The sound sends a chill down your spine as you notice the scaled wings growing out of it back. The last thing you see before the lights disappears is the glowing red eyes of the kitten as it spreads it's wings and flies at you...

Shadow Pelt is not about to go into an area he doesn't know at all, especially sinced he'd be out-numbered and out-magiked.

Hoping to draw Devlyn out, Shadow Pelt moves a few houses away and roars.

Blending in almost perfectly with the shadows, Shadow Pelt waits with eyes gleaming from the darkness.

This is called a Grue. You won't see it coming. It will eat you.

Pacing above them on a nearby roof, Shadow Pelt watches.

A dark roar fills the air, as Shadow Pelt appears on the roof of a nearby building.

A long time ago I posted that Allura and Devlyn had heard rumors of a large black cat prowling the Bazaar, and Devlyn does want a good reason to not be down in The Tunnels...

Also? Worst. Catfight. Ever.

*Pushes miss kitty out of the way, dodges falling beam*
Since when did rust monsters cause metal to fall instead of eating it?

The awaken spell gives them the ability to pick one language that the caster could. Cats speaking Infernal or Abyssal...

*shivers*
Now I want to play one of the cats! I shall be Shadow Pelt, the house cat warlock!

Except for those few, strange house cats that happen to like water.

Use the awaken spell! Then you can make the players paranoid because they think(and are correct in doing so) the cats are planning and cleverly trying to kill them.

A point on dragons. Why must their alignment be color-coded all the time? This page shows that chromatic dragons need not always evil.

Bwahahaha!

During the supply run, Devlyn(and possible Allura) hear rumors of a strange cat-like shadow seen in the Bazaar the night before.

Can't continue it right now, and SP won't show up in your new house anyway(not his style). Just a warning I guess.

*Frustrated snarls can be heard throughout the area, and several 'innocent' bystanders are mauled to death.*

As the beast is about to connect with his fangs, he pushes himself back - and passes through the massive pillar as if it wasn't even there. Shadow Pelt smashes head and teeth first into the wood, momentarily stunned (My humble interpretation of the small opening in his defense).

He then feels burning pain in his gut as Devlyn's blade erupts from the pillar and tears laterally across his belly.

Ouch! That was cool, I thought you'd use the opening to stab him or something. Hadn't thought of the raging, but I had thought of doing this...

Falling to the ground 15ft below, SP lands, hard. Getting up shakily, he lets a near primal roar and almost triples in size. Though he is bigger, some entrail can be seen through his stomach wound. "FACE ME NOW DALESMAN! OR ARE YOU AFRAID?"

A mistake on SP's part, he's bigger, losing more blood, and slower now. Bye for now.

Oh he is getting so angry! Good job Dalesmen, but I wonder just how far to have SP react?

"Fool! My lesser cousins can jump that height, do you really think your safe?!?" Launching itself into the air, SP leaves a small opening in his defense as it tries to grab Devlyn and drag him to the ground for an easier fight.

Shadow Pelt just manages to avoid a serious strike, though at the cost of a few drops of blood. He whirls his own two-bladed swords and tries a counter attack.

The blade finds purchase, but likes Devlyn's own strike, it is more of a nick than a telling wound. As they properly join battle, the chiming ring of metal connecting with metal echoes throughout the pavillion.

Leaping back, SP changes back into a shadow cat. "It seems that brat did more to me than I thought, we're equal if I use that weak form. Guess we settle this as man and beast!" SP charges and slashes ferociously, trying to land a bite.

"Alright you. Imitation is usually the sincerest form of flattery, but I'm thinking you're the exception to that rule. If you're itching so much for a little scrap," as he Shadow Jumps to the side and attempts to land an opening sneak attack on him, "then I'll be happy to oblige you!"

Taking advantage of Oroth's distraction, Devlyn quickly changes position and closes the distance between them. As the cat lands, he swiftly dashes by, cutting into its flank as he does. He whips around and stops, keeping himself between it and Oroth.

"Are you alright?" Devlyn calls out to Oroth as he watches their foe.

"You should worry more about yourself than that wanna-be adult, Devlyn." With a feline grin, Shadow pelt changes in to an exact likeness of Devlyn, except for the eyes.

"Didn't I say earlier I was like you?" Shadow Pelt moves into a defensive stance, and taunts Devlyn, hoping to anger him into making a mistake.

Whirling around as it lands, the feline's eyes gleam. "In a way, you could say I'm you, except I'm better." The cat begins to circle him, waiting for a chance to strike.

And I have to go, again, sorry. :(

The Dalesman wrote:
"Whoa there - bad kitty. I'm leaving." as he slowly starts backing away.

"Oh, I don't think you'll be leaving Devlyn, since I plan to kill you!" Snarling, the huge cat leaps again, claws extended and teeth gleaming, aiming for Devlyn's throat.

It was for any who wish him dead.
Gotcha. Bearing that in mind (and what Jack of Tears just did to Oroth), are you thinking about bringing a certain kitty out to 'play'? Devlyn's not going to hang around here much longer, since his quarry already skipped out, and you could use him to make Oroth's day bad...

Almost to silently to be heard, and dark shadowy cat stalks Devlyn. Letting out an ear-splitting roar, it's leap at him from the rafters high above.

The shaman blasts Shadow Pelt with burning sunlight. The Oberjarl and his kittens raise their greataxes and charge.

"Die!!!"
They slash at him at once, and he feels a chill which he doesn't like to be on teh receiving end of.

Despite being hit by sunlight, Shdow Pelt dodges the greataxes with suprising agility. Suddenly, the Kittens can see him more clearly. He lets out a feral growl as he leaps at a Kitten, rending it spirit in two. The Kittens realize the advantage of being spectral undead has been lost...

He's on Kitty turf now.

The shadowy form of a massive feline leaps from within the undead army's ranks, ripping one Kitten from it's eagle mount before leaping to another. A voice flows eerily around it.

"It's so nice to be in combat again, even if it is against cousins so weak. Now if only Devlyn were here..."

The Overjarl laughs. Shadow Pelt flies through the kittens, finding them to be mere illusions. The kittens all disappear at once.

"We aren't weak."
Spirits suddenly begin to appear. Ghosts of the original army. The shaman. The original Oberjarl is there, too.
"We came prepared."
The ghosts charge.

Shadow Pelt seems to grin maliciously.

"Oh my, this battle just became a lot more fun..."

More and more undead emerge from the ground as the Army of the Damned travels closer to the Threads of Light

Slowly, a shadow of a large cat stalks into the army. If asked it simple says it is after Devlyn.

Sounds cool to me - we can try to give it a go!

Think I'll just give him a small scouting mission to start, so you'd at least be able know about him first. He won't attack unless attacked, so those that can see him might just think they saw into the Shadow Plane. But that's up to you isn't it? I know our time is limited, so how do you like this idea? When neither of us can post, the battle has moved to the Plane Of Shadow. Both Devlyn and Shadow Pelt are fully capable of doing so. As a side note, most of SP's fighting will be done while he's in cat form.

One more thing before I'm done for the day. I created a alias to fight Delvyn on some-what equal footing. When he makes his apperance over in the Oasis only those with ties to shadows will be able to see him. Think of what would happen should Delvyn had looked in a faulty Mirror of Opposition and you basically found out this character's creation.

*A wispy voice floats trough the tent as the glowing eyes reappear.*
"Dragons, they always think they're better than us, until its to late..."
