"Erryone stand the @#$% back. I'm about to try to switch this thing back to factory settings, but there's a chance it could explode an' take me with it. Don't want the rest of you joinin' me if that happens." He waits for them to follow his instructions, and then prepares to move the C4 to reactivate the robot. Is this another Weird check, or do I use a different stat this time?

Seth tromps over quickly at Scarlet's indication. His eyes widen as he starts talking to himself and begins looking over the robot. "Goodgoodgood, primary systems look intact. Might be able to salvage this. Charming bow tie. Come on...speak to me...the pain you feel...speak the words..." He runs his hands over the fallen robot as he mutters. Things SPEAK!: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 4) + 2 = 10 I'm not sure if the modifier affects the total number of questions or not. I either can ask two or three. If it's just two, here's the two: What’s wrong with this, and how might I fix it?
If I get a third, I'll also ask "What words have been said most recently nearby this?"

Seth tries to run after the descending server towers but is too slow, getting enough time to peer at the screen Runner's been fiddling with. Before he can say anything he's startled by Scarlet's shotgun. "Dammit will NOTHIN' in this damn place give an ol' man enough time to get his bearings?!"

"State your designation and function," Seth says to the monkey in a neutral tone, seemingly OVERpronouncing his words. With these old programs, you had to be clear so your pronunciation didn't mess 'em up. When he sees Runner going off to touch the servers, he twitches and points at him. "Watch it, lad! This thing's over two centuries old. If ya break it, even I may not be able to get it back up an' runnin' again!" Incidentally, I'm back from my trip to Ireland, so I'll be able to post much more frequently again! :)

Seth takes the bottle and takes the offered pills, before returning it to Vonya. "Kid, you realize the longer we let this issue simmer, the more chance it's got to boil over. We gotta be a solid team if we're gonna get an opportunity to crack that guy's skull in the first place," he says wearily.

Just to give everyone a heads-up, I'll be leaving on a trip to Ireland with my family to celebrate my brother's graduation this Saturday (the day after my birthday, if you can believe it) and so my posting next week may be a bit spotty. I'll try to keep informed as to what's goin' on in game and try to post if I can, but feel free to bot my character if it's needed to progress. Thanks everyone! :D

Seth inhales sharply several times. His hair stands on end as he feels the electricity and psychic energy curling together in the air outside. He tries to stay calm. There'd already been too much explosive temper and now that they were...ostensibly...back on the right track, he didn't want to jinx it too much...but he still wanted to make sure Francis didn't pull another stunt like in the pharmacy. Even an old junkhead like Volcano knew when diplomacy was needed, even in the wasteland, and a new kid like Francis? He was still getting used to this world. He'd come from before the War, and was likely a soldier for that war, and war...war never changes...

"Super Mutants...lots of 'em...but only on this floor. Up above it's all machines. Probably doesn't trust 'em compared to an obedient and unthinking computer. That's both good and bad. We go up, we won't have to fight 'em...but if we have to turn back, they'll be between us and the exit." Then he sees Vonya rummaging in his bag. "Thank ye kid. Could ya perhaps, hand me the insulin too?"

Seth coughs a bit. "Thank ye, kid." He looks around at the walls. "This place...it ain't the kind of place people do wholesome things in. I've seen enough Pre-War places to know that. Vaults, bunkers, buildings like this. They were built by people who had things they wanted to hide from the rest of the world. If anything, that gas back there proves it. Our Crane fella'll probably talk a great game about saving the world, but places like these weren't meant to save anyone." He shuts his eyes, and tries to connect his cracked head to the rhythm of this twisted place. Open Mind to the WEIRD: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 2) + 2 = 10

"BOTH OF YOU LADS STOP RIGHT F@$%ING NOW!" Volcano bellows in his greatest angry grandpa voice. Now it was clear to Francis how he'd earned his name. "Vonya, are you seriously willin' to get yourself KILLED over this s#it?! We need you! Those kids need you! I know we ain't always talked much, but ya need to clear ya godd@M head! Yer better than this, an' you know it!" Then he turns to Francis. "An' as for YOU, cowboy, I dunno where you're from. For all I know you're a Pre-War relic or some s#it, but ya DON'T freakin' negotiate with a godd@m rocket launcher! That's Raider crap! You wanna help these kids, then don't go rampagin' around tryin' to get your way! Be a better example! Scarlet, lass! Runner an' Pallor! You know this guy, help talk him down!"

As Seth WHUMPS down from the camera he walks over to the growing confrontation between Francis and Vonya. Perhaps not thinking better of it, he lays a hard, calloused hand on Vonya's shoulder. "Easy, take it easy there, lad. Last thing we need is fightin' amongst ourselves in enemy territory. I'm sure the new kid didn't mean it like that. He just cares about the kids, like you do. None of us wanna see those kids die from diabeetus!" I've been wanting to say that since the insulin was mentioned!

As no self-respecting Wasteland mechanic would be without a Philip's head in his belt, it's only a matter of brief time before Volcano has removed the blast shield. He takes another look at the cameras to figure out how to disable them without triggering an alarm or something. Weird: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 3) + 2 = 9

Volcano chuckles a bit at Scarlet's reaction. "Lemme think, luv. Lemme think..." He carefully regards the turrets, wondering if they've got some sort of voice override. Not only were they adorable, but they could be useful for covering them, or even help with the Hold's defense. Should I be opening my mind to the Weird right about now?

Seth marches over and extends his hand to Francis. "It's an honor and a pleasure te meet ya, Francis. I'm Seth, Seth Hafner, though most call me Volcano on account of my temper." He pauses as Francis starts looking woozy. "You all right, lad?" Getting closer to the kid, Seth could feel something off about him. Even with whatever grime he'd picked up on the way here he seemed too clean-cut for your typical wastelander. Even if you had access to regular clean water for bathing like at the Hold, daily life out here was messy and tended to give you a worn, rough-hewn look at best. And then there was the smell. Some sterile combination of fancy coolant and brine. The kind of smell that you only found in Pre-War labs and facilities.
