There isn't a heck of a lot of prep Selena can do short of healing everyone into tip top health. I'll take the opportunity to position myself to avoid friendly fire for R2 Channel though (if I could). I'm currently busing up to Auckland, having a collection of 2 hr job interviews the following day, and then busing back, so please, feel free to bot me during the next three days, as Real Life takes priority.

Yeah realised I made an error with rolling that dice. My channel is 2d6 negative energy, but because its variant channel, they take half damage, that is NOT reduced further on a successful save. Instead, the saving throw bypasses the condition that would otherwise be inflicted. Which means that.... Channel: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6 All take 3 negative energy damage and have to make a DC 18 Will Save. A successful DC 18 Will save means they avoid the Confusion effect but still take the 3 negative energy damage. I'm having slight difficulty moving myself on the map atm, so if someone can move me that would be great. I believe I can "selectively" exclude almost the entire party, (unfortunately, the animal companion makes it 1 more member than I can safely exclude), but I think I can still hit most of the enemies and avoid friendly fire.

Selena drops a negative energy channel on the remaining bad guys, hitting them with a confusion effect. Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4 DC 18 Will Saving throw required to avoid the confusion effect.

"What exactly did we steal?" Selena enquires curiously. "I doubt that we meant to give offence, if they are indeed yours, you are welcome to have your items back if you wish" Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
The GM described it as a 'Golden Guardian' so thats as good an indication as any that we should be opening it! Selena opens up the 'egg' or "bundle of sticks" hoping whatever it is might be useful.
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
I think I stated above that I'll pass / delay, and stand by to heal people, since most of my tools are mind affecting. Is there anything special I can do with the egg? (apologies if it was already stated)

Can we roll knowledge on it to determine any abilities / immunities it might have. OOC I suspect that its probably immune to 90% of what Selena can throw at it, but IC I don't know until we roll knowledge against it. In the meantime, I'll pass, and get ready for healbot duties.

Selena has her locket open, allowing her to see fine with the light, but also giving her the opportunity to close the lid of the locket, and plunge us back into darkness
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
Selena hears Tophor's cry and immediately switches from holding onto a negative energy channel, into unleashing a wave of positive energy. The wave is somewhat weaker than it should be, but it still manages to provide a small amount of healing. Heal Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
Selena follows. One part of her wants to unleash a sweeping channel at all enemies around her, but the darkness and confusing nature of the discussion with these kobolds discourages her from unleashing such an attack...yet.

If I bought a Heightened Continual Flame inside a locket, that would trump darkness effects right? I'll prolly get a continual flame locket regardless, its fairly useful since I can close the locket and hide the light, and open the locket if I want visibility.

Aerondor, I'm heading to a concert in a couple of hours, and I'll be away till Thursday in our timezone. I think its very likely that I'll have internet while I'm gone (I intend to buy some from where I'm staying if its not outright free) but this is just a heads up in case things don't go to plan and activity drops / net is hard to come by. Feel free to bot/delay/boot Selena as needed if its interfering with the game, I'll be back to full activity Thursday afternoon.
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
Heal Roll's if appropriate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Also add a guidance either onto my heal check or their saving throw.
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
Its a 10 foot burst, I probably assumed that I could place it to hit the undead with the edge of it, rather than enemies and allies, but if thats not possible, then ok. Tophor takes no damage though.
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
Facing down undead, her worse nightmare, Selena triggers her ace in the hole, the spell Burst of Radiance (which hits both enemies). Damage: 3d4 ⇒ (2, 3, 1) = 6
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
Touch Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 After lightly touching the captain, and delivering another -1 to his attack rolls and saves (for a total of -2), Selena feels it best to finish things up with a spell, casting Hold Person. Hold Person, DC 15 (IIRC), and the captain takes -2 to his save.
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
Is it a specific roll to tie someone up (ie is it something I could actually do), or isn't it better for me to kick Jal in the balls and thereby instantly snap him out of the fascination effect. EDIT Oops, this updated just before I finished my post, recanting. O.k, so I think the first thing Selena would have done is break the facination on Jal first, but leaving it intact on the captain. This means that if I kick Jal in the nuts then it should break only for him, and he could therefore assist in the rope vs captain thing, or make an action in the round. Abusing the fact that the man is prone, Selena lightly touches him, using her Vision of Madness ability, and implanting a -1 -1 on attack and saving throws, and giving him a +1 on skill checks.
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
Selena hops down. Will Save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 My advice is to jump down. I can snap you out of the fascination and can therefore go back to restraining him or whatever.
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
Selena looks confused "You mean, besides my good looks?" Casting Spell: Hold Person onto the captain, DC 15 Will Save to avoid. If he is fascinated though, then I won't cast a spell, as it would break the effect.
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
"He got a bit excited" Selena remarks, which was potentially a bit of an understatement but she didn't really care. "I'm fine, he didn't get to lay a hand on me"
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
Giggling at the sailors eagerness, Selena lays a hand on his shoulder...and promptly triggers her vision of madness ability. -1 to saves and attack rolls, but +1 to any skill checks. Maybe he might thank me, I prolly just increases his effectiveness in the bedroom.
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
In that case, Selena will likely stall this out for as long as she can until either the sailor starts wanting his piece of the action (so to speak), or combat starts outside, in which case Selena instantly attacks. Ideally, I'd prefer pulling off a melee touch attack Vision of Madness first, but I believe thats hard to do without triggering combat, and I think a longspear in the surprise round is a more aggressive opening.
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
Err btw, I'm not screwing the crew member thats "showing" me the cabin, I'm attacking him once we are alone. C'mon GM, Selena's got standards! They might be low, but she has them.
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
How many sailors are on the boat that I can see? Selena isn't particularly perturbed by the sailor being more interested in a different kind of profession, removing one guy from the equation is better than removing no guys, and so long as the sailor(s) was/were staring at her chest, he wasn't looking around the rest of the ship, spying Shungar (hopefully) teleporting everyone in. Faking utterly ignorance as to what the sailor is hinting at, she quickly responds: "Oh how lovely, its always a pleasure carrying out a religious ceremony on a particular part of significance to the crew, it really adds to the experience. Is the cabin some sort of shrine to this icon? Does it have spiritual significance? Is it just pretty?.
Female Human Cleric 4 HP: 24/24 | AC: 13 | T: 9 | FF: 13 | CMD: 12 | Fort: +5 | Ref: +1 | Will: +8 | Init: -1 | Perc: +3 | Sense Motive: +3
"Wonderful!" exclaims Selena, happily stalling. "Is there a particular sort of blessing you would favour, or a particular part of the ship that you would like me to focus my divine blessing on, I understand that some crew members have particular preferences"
