Backstory:

Selena Maya had always been very inquisitive, someone fascinated with the discovery of weird and wonderful new things. To begin with, this curiosity was filled with understanding the fairly trivial things, but soon expanded into a study of outer space.
Selena devoted much of her time working with divination spells, and researching the Dark Tapestry. While many cultists viewed the area as a way to gain power, or draw the attention of supremely powerful beings, Selena viewed it from largely a research standpoint, what it was, and factual information could be gleaned. While her studies went well, gradually her parents noticed a sudden withdrawal from the world. She became easily distracted, began looking at things no-one else could see, perhaps had become slightly mad.
Selena was unaware of these changes to her psyche, as most people are, and happily continued her research, joining the Pathfinder Society to investigate the unknown, the mysteries of the world, while continuing her research in her spare time. Her parents insist that she received daily medical checks while working for the Pathfinder Society, but as if yet, there has been little change. Still, so far the effects do seem exceptionally minor, as Selena is entirely capable of helping others, and taking care of threats, and her parents are mollified that so far, the effect on their daughter has been exceptionally minor.
In dress, Selena prefers robes of blue, with a veil across the bottom of her face, homage to Sivanah, her patron goddess. Selena can handle herself remarkably well in social situations, primarily due to her upbringing in a rather connected and well off family, but does take a certain amount of delight in managing to confuse and disorientate her opponents if anyone should try and threaten her, rather than killing them outright. In this instance, Selena is more of an innocent manipulator, happy to weaken the minds of her enemies and play them off against each other, rather than taking a more active role.
