GM, is there any sort of check we can make to figure out how to disable the thing?

Samaan swings around to the far side of the fetchling, poking to distract and providing a flank for Rishaal.

"Don't let him get away!" Samaan shifts position to continue his campaign of distraction, then once again tries to aid Rishaal's attack. Not being any sort of trained fighter, however, he's not very effective and narrowly avoids hitting Rishaal instead.

"Now, Rishaal, while he's off balance!" Samaan continues using his spear to harry and distract the fetchling.

"Stop that!" Samaan rushes in, longspear at the ready. He pokes at the creature, hoping to distract it from Rishaal's attack.

We've got several wands and several people who can use them. I'd say go for it.

Samaan casts a new shield spell on Rishaal (using his last spell slot) just before entering.

"Perhaps we should finish exploring. There may be some answers farther in, or something else that may help us."

"Indeed, and we're here to, among other things, rescue you. My name's Samaan, and this bundle of joy is Rishaal. What's your name?"

"This poor guy is in bad shape. Let's try to wake him up, shall we?" Samaan draws his wand of cure light wounds and sets to work healing the man.

Samaan will attempt to disconnect the man from the slab, and will feed him the potion that Xavier did not drink.

I think Xavier was talking about the flayed man on the slab being experimented upon.

"You should drink one of these too, Xavier." If the man on the slab seems to be alive still, Samaan will feed him one of the potions of cure light wounds we just found.

Samaan continues trying to distract the frightened fetchling, hoping to create an opening for Rishaal.

Samaan advances, reaching in with his longspear to aid Rishaal's first attack.

Attack to aid: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Samaan moves into the room and stares at the creature in a curious fashion. Casting cause fear. DC 16 Will save; frightened for 1d4 rounds on a failure, shaken for 1 round on a save.

"Rishaal, through that wall! Now's the time to strike!"

Is my 2min of shield on Rishaal still active, or has it expired?

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

"Hm, it's on the tip of my tongue, but I just can't quite grasp it."

"I'd like to keep moving, before my protective magic on Rishaal wears off." She has two minutes of shield.

Samaan follows Rishaal to the next door, then waits for his allies.

And one for Samaan.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

"Rishaal, let's give our friends some time to get in position!"

Samaan moves into the room and readies to cast shield on Rishaal as she passes by.

"See, Rishaal? Just a chained-up dog. Nothing to worry about."

Samaan rolls his eyes, then stows his spear and draws a crossbow. "It's chained up, Rishaal. It can't hurt you."

"Don't worry. We'll be back."

Samaan follows his allies.

Is he one of the ones with a symbol on his head?

"Rishaal, would you please glance through that wall for us?" Samaan focuses for a moment as Rishaal's form becomes wispy and transparent. Switching from Ectoplasmic to Incorporeal manifestation as a full-round action. If her poking her head through the wall doesn't immediately trigger combat, then he will revert her to ectoplasmic as soon as she's done looking.

At Rishaal/Hava, ok, I checked your profile for the AC and it says 13, with mage armor that makes 17, so that's what I went with, sorry for getting that wrong, which numbers are correct?

I'm not sure what you mean here. Rishaal's profile has AC 16 in her profile, and AC 16 (Mage armor 20) in her tagline. Also, Rishaal is my phantom, not Hava's Eidolon.

Seeing the lit arrow well-placed, Samaan drops the unlit sunrod, drawing his cold iron longspear as he moves behind Rishaal and tries to distract her target.

I looked in the CRB and couldn't work it out 100%. I added my casting ability modifier and the level of the spell (0)

A CL check is just 1d20 + your caster level (in this case, 1d20+1)

May as well let the phantom with DR/Slashing go in and eat those sling bullets, right? Also, if Rishaal's doom-and-gloom gets to be annoying, let me know and I'll tone it down.

Samaan sighs, then looks at Sieglinde and shrugs. "Sorry, I never learned that trick." He draws a sunrod and follows Rishaal into the room. Single move, draw sunrod.

"I don't like the sound of that big ice creature, though. I'm worried it spotted you, Rishaal."

"Rishaal, please wait a moment." Samaan takes a moment to cast mage armor on Sakimoth, then responds to Xavier. "I don't like the idea of leaving unknown doors at our back. If you'd like, I'll ask Rishaal to peek through the wall, rather than opening the door. Perhaps she can get a sense of what's going on without tipping off whoever is inside."

"I can help with that." Samaan says, flicking his wrist to release a wand of cure light wounds into his palm. He immediately sets to work healing Hava and then Sakimoth.

How far down is Sakimoth? I don't see hp for them. If needed:

"Oh no you don't. No oblivion for you today, friend." Samaan moves in behind Rishaal, drawing a wand and tapping the phantom as he moves in behind her. Using a wand of mage armor on Rishaal.

Opening the door and stepping in behind you is a middle-aged Qadiran man with a dour look upon his face. "Damned Dreng, always calling in the middle of the night!" Seeing the situation he winces, and whispers "Sorry! My name is Samaan. This bundle of joy beside me is Rishaal. Don't mind her wailing, that's just how she is."
