Ruslo stows his bow, picks up his grappling hook, and gives it a twirl. "Now you're talking, fox! We've gotta get you to a fish."

Bringing him to the fish-fey!

And Fuzzzy's sleep spell triggers at the start of his turn, aimed up at the bad guy. Will DC 15 negates.

"I can still try!" Ruslo says. If he's not asleep, Ruslo shoots him.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Piercing Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

"I don't know, Fuzzy! The Sleeper?"

Ruslo sighs, drops his hook onto the ground, pulls out a dark wood bow, and fires an arrow up at the fake Shaine.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Piercing Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Ruslo moves forward. "Hey guy. Why don't you come and we can talk? We've got some questions for you."

Move. Making him my studied target.

Ruslo grins. "You'll make a fine belt!" he tells the croc, looking forward to the prospect of adding another croc to his trophy collection. He rather liked his crocodile boots. He flicks his wrist, yanking the grappling hook back into his hands, then spins and sends it flying back at the crocodile.

P Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Ruslo enters the room, eyebrows raised at the other Shaine, and swings his grappling hook at the crocodile. "Whoa-ho! Look at that croc!" He swings his hook at the crocodile from range.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Piercing Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

"After we entered the library, did the other Virml say anything that you remember? Or do anything strange?"

After hearing Kreighton's answer, Ruslo hurries off with Fuzzzy for the upstairs door.

Ruslo watches Master Shaine carefully, judging his answer.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

"Don't worry Virml. We'll get this sorted out when we get you topside. Maybe you can guide us around until then. We need to find all the scroll pieces and then get the fox-guy."

@ GM: Did we explore the whole library? Or did we miss a nook somewhere around here?

"Well, that settles it then. You seem like the real Virml to me. Certainly more than the other did." He chuckles and pulls out his tools. "Let's see here..."

Disable Device: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

"There ya' go! Boy, they did a number on you... Hey, have you seen anymore scroll fragments?"

"Well, that's easy to figure out." Ruslo moves over to the cage. "Hey Virml. Who's the Master of Scrolls? What year is it? And what did I cook for you dinner yesterday?"

He watches for Virml's response as he nears the cage...

Ruslo whips his grappling hook up at the fey. "Who said anything about fair?!" Ruslo yells back at her with a grin.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 1 = 18
P Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 1 = 9

Ruslo yanks back on the rope, gives his grappling hook a twirl and sends it flying right back at the nixie. "Enough of that! Get down here!" Making the nixie his studied target and attacking it.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 1 = 17
Piercing Damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 = 6

Ruslo moves forward a few steps and plunges his grappling hook into the nereid.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Piercing Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Ruslo startles as Lady Naysha shakes him awake. "Huh? Wh-? Huh?"

Ruslo blinks and rubs his eyes. He stands and glares at the tooth fairy. "Why, you sneaky little bugger!"

He moves toward it.

"Virml?" Ruslo asks in mild shock. Seeing the little pests fly at Eranahu's mouth, Ruslo swings his hook at it. As a melee weapon. "Get outta here! Scat!"

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
P Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Ruslo grins at the Kiyoko. "Thanks for the help."

He moves over to the stuck door they haven't gone through yet and gives it a shove.

Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

Seeing the room suddenly flooding, Ruslo says, "Hurry, this way!" He hurries inside the flooding room, waits a few moments for anyone else who's coming to join him, then tries to shut the door from the inside, closing it behind him so he can explore the room.

Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Ruslo picks up the map. "Well, well, what do we have here. Hmmm. Nice." He stows it in his bag, then follows Lady Naysha.

Ruslo checks in on Fuzzzy and let's Lady Naysha read the next riddle fragment.

After hearing the new verse of the poem he rubs his jaw, making. scratching noise with his stubble. "Well, what do you make of that? Not a very nice poem at all, huh...?"

He leads the way to the next door on the opposite side of the library.

Ruslo follows Lady Naysha, grappling hook out and ready.

"Darn right, Kiyoko. That was weird. Stranger and stranger, hey?" He looks to Lady Naysha "First it said 'tasty' and then it said 'rude,' and then it said 'left me.' Was it the fox's pet, maybe? Or a familiar like Bobby here?"

Ruslo looks around. "Well, shall we see what's down this hall here?" He pauses. "What do you think? That spiral staircase is the only way up out of here. Should one of us stay at its base to keep the fox from fleeing back topside while the rest of us look around?"

Not exciting, I know, but if we all go one way, the fox might slip off while we're not looking. Thoughts?

"Hey! Get away from them! Biting people is also rude!" Ruslo grabs his grappling hook and drives it's hooks into the worm.

"Are you a fox?!"

"Did you hear that!? A talking snake! And it ain't friendly!"

Ruslo passes in front of Fuzzzy and leads the way, knowing how reckless the old man could be.

He looks at the light show...

"Well, well. What do we have here?"

He picks up the scroll case and gives it to Fuzzzy. "Hey, Old Man. Check this out."

"Hey, Old Man! Wait up."

Ruslo follows Fuzzzy.

Ruslo chuckles and makes sure Fuzzzy holds onto the scrolls. "Nice. Thanks, Old Man. you take care of those scrolls, now."

He looks at Bobby. "And you take care of Fuzzzy."

"So this fox... Can it become an object, or just a creature?"

"Yeah, let's go top to bottom, since we're already at the top."

When the grodair grabs Lady Naysha with the tentacles for a hug, Rudlo tenses, ready to come to her aid. He hesitates when it doesn't appear hostile, and waits... watching carefully.

He follows Lady Naysha down to see the others.

"Hey, Old Man? Look what I found." He gives Fuzzzy the two magic scrolls. "Any idea what they are?"

Ruslo watches Lady Naysha, staying close in case of trouble.

Ruslo looks at the creature and says, "Well, what do you think of that? She's pretty good, hey?" He continues trying to talk to the grodair. "So, you're some kind of fey, hey? You from the First World? Or a scroll... world? What's it like there?" While he chats with the fish and waits for Lady Naysha to lend him her fey-speak, Ruslo fiddles with a coin, rolling it across his fingers and back.

"I don't think it liked getting yanked on, Fuzzzy."

Ruslo looks at Bobby. "Bobby, take care of Fuzzzy." He looks around the mezzanine for anything of interest.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 +1 higher vs. traps).

Ruslo's eyebrows raise at the sight of the strange fish belching water at Fuzzzy. "Well, hello there... Are you okay? Are you feelin' alright there?"

Ruslo puts the magical scrolls back into the case, making a mental note to ask Bobby about them later. Then he hurries over to help Fuzzzy before he got eaten by a fairy-fish.

"Well, well. What do we have here?" Ruslo says as he picks up the scroll case. Seeing the grate clogged, he tries to move the papers and leather and unclogs the grate.

Then he opens the scroll case to see what's inside.

"Huh," Ruslo says, upon seeing the strange birds. "Never seen that before..."

Ruslo steps between Fuzzzy and the creatures, hand on his grappling hook while studying the room and the creatures.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 +1 higher vs traps.

"Well, don't want these beauties getting wet," Ruslo remarks, referring to his crocodile skin boots. He puts them in his backpack and gives Bobby a few more bits of rations. "Well, Bobby? Ready for a swim? What do you think?" He pats the bird on the head and helps Fuzzzy to the door. "This way, old man. I've got you covered."

Ruslo is a tall Varisian man. He has a small patch of facial hair under his lower lip. He wears a Varisian head scarf. Earrings glint in the light. At his hip is a grappling hook with a length of rope. He wears very fine crocodile leather boots.

“Hey there everyone! I’m Ruslo.” He has a friendly smile.

Ruslo winks at Lady Naysha “Very nice to see you again little lady.”

At the sight of Fuzzzy he grins, “Old man! Good to see you found your way.” Ruslo pats Bobby on the head and feeds the owl a piece of rations. "Bobby, always a pleasure."

Ruslo goes up to Eranahu, then Kiyoko, and shakes their hands.

In the flooded library, Ruslo fiddles with a coin, making it dance across his fingers as he listens. As the briefing ends, he catches the coin, and pockets it. "Got it! Find the source of the water and stop it. Can do, boss man."

Ruslo heads over to Virmyl and pats him on the shoulder. "Don't beat yourself up too much, pal. Could be worse."

"So, Virmyl? You've been down there. Any advice for us?"

As they leave the secret temple Ruslo chuckles. "You guys make good scoundrels," he tells his team. He chuckles again. On the trip he makes sure Fuzzzy stays with the group and doesn't get lost.

At the mission briefing afterward he twirls a coin between his fingers.

After the briefing he heads over to Fuzzzy, claps him on the shoulder and says, "Good job, old man. Bobby, keep him out of trouble." Ruslo feeds Bobby some rations.

Ruslo moves foward, then tosses his grappling hook out at the golem! I can see it, but its definitely got partial cover at least.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Piercing Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Seeing there's no room for him to get into the fight Ruslo hustles down the hall and around the battle, aiming to flank the golem.

Double move.

Ruslo double moves in an effort to keep up with the others.

Hearing a commotion, Ruslo hurries off to see what's happening.

Double move.

"Sounds good, Boss!" Ruslo replies, clearly ready to leave.

@Sok: I was wounded before the trap, am slightly wounded still, but not in need of anymore healing. Thanks.

"Thanks, Sok. That did the trick nicely."

Ruslo continues fiddling with the pipes to flood the chambers.

Neither I nor my kids have any way to obscure or alter the appearance of the runes on the chests.
