Wow, that seems a little f!&$ed up...

It seems Nick Logue has to draw his line in the sand for which product he wants to publish for.
Here, and here.
Ghostland Observatory - Dancin' On My Grave
The Presets - My People
The Kills - Cheap and Cheerful
Gnarls Barkley - Run
David Gahan - Kingdom
Please cancel my Pathfinder subscription, thanks.
Voted. It looks like RotRL is in 2nd now! Does it really surprise everyone that Eberron would be first on the EnWorld site?
iPod on shuffle...
Ghostland Observatory - Silver City
Monte Cook, $9? Yeah, I'll check it out.
I'm currently a player in an Eberron campaign. I play a Dragonmarked elf of House Thuranni. For those unfamiliar with Eberron, House Thuranni is known for the Shadow Network and on the mundane side, producing great artists. My character has high ranks in painting. My character has regular gallery showings in Sharn between adventures. Besides earning my character some extra cash, it also provides contacts with the upper crust of society which also allows me to play the Shadow Network connection. So, this not only provides additional personality to my character but has also provided tips and leads to adventures.
I believe an early Dragon issue (I don't know which one, possibly around the time of Roger Moore's Dwarven Point of View article) which fleshed out the dwarven pantheon, had one female dwarf with a small braided goatee. Does anyone else remember that?
Rune was obviously influenced by Pathfinder. Scryber because I like to draw (it makes sense to me).
I picked my avatar because it looks like me (except my ears aren't quite so pointy).
Love the Christmas card! Great illustration on front and the goblin holiday jingle is very festive! I brought it to my game Friday, everyone's heart felt warmed with holiday goblin cheer!
While I haven't fully digested PF4 yet, my initial reaction is a good one. I must admit this module stirs up fond 1e memories as a player going "Against the Giants" and later running it as a DM. I also like the fact that each module in the series does have a different style yet remains cohesive to the adventure path.

Ahhh, right. I laughed at myself when I read your reply. Since you double the age to get the figure, I guess I was stuck on the word double.

Well put Stedd. I like the fact that different author's have different styles. I understand why the OP might not like Logue's warped (that's a compliment) style. Personally, I really like his writing. I'm also glad Paizo has multiple talented writers that grace their products.
Congrats all! I'm amazed how many of the countries blew me away!
Good luck to the top 32. I really enjoyed reading your entries!

Very nice Rob! I have to admit I'm a sucker for anything that gives a nod to the Annunaki. Like Erik, I really liked the opening paragraph, it really grabbed me.

Thanks! ^_^
Mikey, I blush...
Erik asked, I figured he deserved to know. If wizards can't fabricate, clerics can't augury and *some* class doesn't have a lore ability, I can't run my existing games in 4e.
Period. I'm hopping on board the Dungeon Grrl fan club, of all the posts I've read, this one really resonated with me.
I've noticed the low res on the cover, the table of contents, the forward and the iconics.
Are there plans for some original classes (not prestige) in future Pathfinders?

Boom-chicka-Bow-now!
Oh yeah, much better than the beer idea!

All of it.
That'll be the last baby shower you get invited to.
I like this idea.
I've been playing for 29 years, what's another 30?

Kruelaid wrote: Last campaign I started my players started at 2nd level and had to write up the journey and explain what happened to justify the level up. You could pass this responsibility to each player (you might already require them to come up with backgrounds) and offer xp or level up in return.
I've played in games before where the GM roleplayed a mini starting scenario (one small session) at 1st level for each PC to get them to the starting point where everyone meets. We all started the group adventure at 2nd level.

And what's a creamsicle? I'm feeling increasingly out of the loop as this conversation progresses...
It's a frozen ice-cream thing on a stick.
I thought I'd throw another vote in for Leiber's Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser. My all time fav is Moorcock's Elric.
kahoolin wrote: Wow thanks Eyebite! I just went and bought the ingredients, so when my concentrate is frozen I'll make it and report back.
And I have no idea what creamside is. Seems Australia is woefully behind the times when it comes to frozen creamy citrus drinks...
Creamsicle like popsicle (not creamside)... :)

Eberron will be released Summer 2009 (though looks like some Eberrony stuff will be in the first Monster Manual, including warforged, but no specifics revealed yet). So, yeah, they'll still have to wait 1 year (but not 2 years like mentioned above).
No word at all on a possible 2010 campaign setting (even info on if it will be an old or a new one or if they will do one at all). Thanks for the info Ken. I'm a player in an Eberron campaign right now, our group is staying with 3.5 for now anyway.
Erik Mona wrote: It's a given that no matter what we won't be going along with some of the flavor changes coming out of WotC. The "tone" of Pathfinder is not going to change no matter what edition we go with.
That said, I'm curious about one thing.
Let's say we decide to go with a different edition than the one you intend to play. If your subscription came with a downloadable "conversion guide" file for your preferred system, with all of the correct stat blocks and rules for the adventure, would that convince you to keep up your subscription?
Conversions would be nice.

Sweet! Thanks for the link Tamago!
While I don't think 4e is going to blow chunks like some believe. I also see no need of switching editions in the near future. I just started with a new group in a new campaign (3 sessions thus far). We had a brief discussion at our last session, everyone is excited about where the campaign is going and their characters. We see no reason to scrap the current campaign to start playing a new edition. If everyone is stoked about the campaign now just after 3 sessions, I can only imagine how involved we'll be after 7 months or so (when 4e comes out). So, to answer the question, our group will be playing 3.5 at the end of 2008 and beyond. I'll probably pick up the 4e PHB out of curiousity, but can't imagine switching systems for a while (maybe when they come out with 4.5, maybe not). I've really enjoyed the first 3 PF's and will most likely continue with my subscription no matter what edition is used.
It looks like I'm going to have to pick J1 up.
David E wrote: Thanks for responding Michael. I'll definitely have to pick this one up at Barnes & Noble, I love this kinda stuff. Sounds interesting...it sounds similar to The Earth Chronicles by Zecharia Sitchin.

I thought it was amusing and well done (for what it was). I have to admit, my expectations were pretty low to start with. When I first saw it (before I played it), I thought it was going smell really awful.
I've been lurking since the emergence of Pathfinder (awesome stuff!) and occasionally posting. Being an old schooler myself, I enjoy the mentality on the boards (even though I don't seem to be as hyped up or down about 4e as some). In addition to the quality of posters, the talent and involvement of the staff is quite amazing.
