Roumatha smiles. "Speak softly, and carry a big sword for lopping off the basilisk head. That's Pathfinder diplomacy!"

Huh? Is that it? It was fun while it lasted but I fully expected the basilisk owner to attack at this point! The basilisks feel like a loose thread...
Sorry to not have contributed much to the meeting part; by the time I checked the thread in my timezone two successes would invariably be accrued already.
Thank you for the game GM and the crew!

Even Roumatha can't stay silent and stands up, clutching his wayfinder. "I'm far from a legal expert but isn't mutual profit the main purpose of a deal? And if so, why do we feel like we are obliged to impose tariffs and taxes going against this purpose? Everything is in our hands, right here and now, to set up the rules of this trade deal in a way that enriches both of our lands, so let us not pass up on this chance!"

Looking around, he sees that his words didn't hit home, and sits down, mildly embarrassed.

Important Question: is Aid Another possible on the checks vs these challenges?

I think we're playing as though the shark has already appeared but takes a moment before acting?

Roumatha makes another sharp heel-turn and aims at the shark. He feels unsafe so close to it but wonders how this creature will survive without water around.

Hunt Prey for a +1 AC and a free Recall Knowledge check (Arcana +8, Nature +7). On a crit success everyone gets a +1 circumstance to their next attack

Nevertheless there is little time to lose so the half-elf keeps shooting.

Seeing as the birds became recurring villains, Roumatha tries to assess if he knows anything about their abilities.

Another pass on the greater challenge from me. Roumatha is okay-ish at identifying the monsters, though at this level still a lot depends on the d20.

Roumatha nods at Sir Reinhart. "As an old Nirmathi saying goes, a noble spirit embiggens the smallest man."

He is willing to take the chances and stands on a skipping stone, drawing his shortbow to start with.

Is it just one reroll per combat or per round as long as I'm on it? if we get a prebuff round, Roumatha will cast Gravity Weapon on his shortbow.

Before departure
Roumatha shares Chulyin's concern.
"I can't help but feel Kesstraka took being turned to stone for granted. Are the basilisks just local wildlife? Has there been any word from the guards on how their investigation is progressing? What if they show up tomorrow during negotiations and turn both parties to stone? That would be a monumental disaster!"

At Lashweather's place
Roumatha smiles widely at the sight of a familiar Iruxi.
"Good to see you again, Lumki! Your Common has gotten much better since we last spoke! How is working for Lashweather - has he been alright lately?"

Upstairs
At the sight of the pirate-turned-astonomer Roumatha grows a bit shy. He clears his throat.
"We are Pathfinders and we've received news that made us worried for your safety. You see, there was an incident earlier over at the embassy where a bunch of basilisks got loose and began making statues out of important people like Kesstraka and Emmanuel over here, so we were worried if perhaps something has happened to you too. We don't want to interfere with your work - in fact we'd be happy to assist in any way we can to help you get the important bits done before tomorrow's council meeting."

Roumatha shrugs.
"Not all of us strive to become gods. Me, I'm a simple man, whose life was greatly affected by war, between different human nations, different species, and now even ancient immortal evils. I believe in alliance of common folk who can put their differences aside when basic values like peace and freedom are at stake. I work with Pathfinders because I see that they care about each other. And I think the same mutual aid principle can apply to the whole nations. It is probably much more complicated than that but that's what the diplomats are for, right? I'm just here to help when the goals of the task align with my values.

He ponders the question about the free time.
"I used to like being in solitude among the nature above all else. I still like it but ever since I joined Pathfinders I started valuing all the different kinds of people I meet a lot more. I used to lay traps for hobgoblins and teach others to avoid kobold traps. Now I am learning the effects of the gobbo spit. So I've become a bit of a dabbler, trying myself at all the new things I see others doing."

Roumatha casts a sympathetic glance on the elven druid. "I too would have preferred some actual derring-do! But with Manny here, the stories should prove quite entertaining. Maybe we could all fill him in on our prior exploits in advance so that he has time to think about the way to present them by the time of the meeting.

Roumatha tries to wrap his brain around how such a seemingly impressive establishment could thrive on processing just one document at a time.
Society: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Hoping that Narhsa can understand him or someone in the group can translate, he clears his throat and politely intervenes.
"The documents are requested for a meeting with your leaders tomorrow, they wouldn't want to go into it without all the pertinent information at hand, would they? Surely there must be a process intended to expedite the requests? Could you please let us know if there is someone who can authorize exceptions?"

Having blurted out possibly the most three-syllable words per minute in his life, he grows silent and just quietly stares at Narsha hoping that she will at least appreciate the effort if nothing else.

Nice, thanks Sir Reinhart!
"I can see why some of the Iruxi could be distrustful after their previous history with northerners at the time of Cheliax. We need to show them that we don't operate in the same ways as the Hellknights or Diabolists. Wine could be helpful - whether it's a bribe or not ultimately depends on the end goal. I just hope the Iruxi don't get too attached to it - wouldn't want to cause them harm."

Oh I didn't realize the Gameplay thread already has posts!

"I don't speak Iruxi either", a rugged looking half-elf who hasn't shaved for weeks now answers. "Maybe that's why it was so easy to avoid any arguments with them so far. Really nice people from what I can tell. Unlike the gargoyles..." He adjusts a greatsword slung behind his back, and stretches.

"That said, I would really prefer to go back outdoors. Never been much of a talker. Joint physical exercise is the best bonding."

Looking at the bonuses page, Plants Cut Down seems to be useful right about now. Can I invoke it?

"Urrgh..." Roumatha says through gritted teeth as the wooden man tears through his flesh, however the sap in the wounds has no adverse effects on him for now.

He just nods at Oskar healing his wounds before giving chase again.

Normally I would need 3 strides to catch up with the Grimstalker through the difficult terrain. However if I can invoke Plants Cut Down, then I can make it in two strides, leaving a chance to Strike:

welp, off I go...

Roumatha suddenly realizes just how valuable Phillipton has been to the success of this mission. His own efforts at sword-swinging pale in comparison to the spirit of friendship and camaraderie shown by this modest cleric of Halcamora. But he must have spent all of his wine supply to get their enemies drunk! That will not do... Roumatha resolves to find the best-looking grape in all of Golarion for his friend, and do it right now, satyrs and leprechauns be damned! After all, this demiplane must have plants which cannot be rivalled by anything seen on Golarion... Confident in the Pathfinders' ability to handle the present situation without his involvement, he turns around and heads for the thickets, whistling the catchy tune that's filling the air around him.
