You paddle along for another hour or so. Then you come into a larger cavern suffused by light from an indiscernible source shining off mineral crystals all over the walls. It reminds you of the strange light in the cavern where the violet fungi attacked you.
The orc chuckles at Eddrikk as he comes diving out of the collapsed cavern. "Me think dwarves better with stones. Dwarves love stones!" He chuckles some more but seems to have relaxed a little, not minding the reprieve from Drow pursuit.
The orc surveys the carnage with a bit of a grin. While he held back during the battle, he did see Eddrikk swinging away relentlessly with both hands. He casually walks along the tunnels, now, hanging close behind Eddrikk but not speaking.
The burly orc takes a running leap and clears the gap. He stands up on the other side and looks back at the others with a sneer of superiority curling his lips. He calls back in rough common "What? Scared of a little jump?"
Not stupid. He rips a few strips of cloth off the bottom of his tunic, unfortunately for the rest of you. He wraps the shortsword in the cloths then hides it under a pile of filth in his corner.
