Romulus looks at you as if you are speaking in a manner he does not understand anything that you said... returning to work on the conglomeration of medical parts, shooting you an odd glance every so often... The head of the construct seems to twitch and its geared eyes begin to glow as the cogs begin to move... steam coming out of the top of the boiler "I think he's waking up." Romulus smiles

Hello, HRMS X, I'm Romulus, and I'm currently needing a little assistance in the movement of this boiler, I need to attach it to the right side of the torso... he says cheerfully as he clambers out from underneath the elemental reactor the mass of metals in front of you is screaming impossibility and insanity. Thousands of dollars worth of technology has been disassembled for... An antique! the tall creation's torso is as tall as the boy creating the clockwork and steam engine humanoid form

Romulus has created a boiler of some sort, and is currently filling it with water, his creation is starting to take shape as well. the creation is apparently a torso-like piece of metal with a lot of tubing attached to it. Another segment has taken the reorienting mechanical servo arms of a large bed-like creation and attached them to a lot of cabling. No, I'm not going to destroy your ship, I'm just saying that Romulus' creation skills are marvelous, but he doesn't seem to understand that most of what he has disassembled was in mostly working order.

Carl, don't you have to help with the rebuilding of the hospital? ;) Romulus is taking hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of medical equipment and breaking them down for parts to be used in a clockwork and magic imbued substitute. His simultaneous genius and stupidity would be astounding from another person's viewpoint

Romulus says as he nudges a bunch of syringes. I mean... these things were broken pretty ba... Romulus looks down, then at the elemental reactor, and then back down. CarlIjusthadanIdea, Ineedtohookupthe reactortoaboiler. GetmeaWelder. Romulus seems to have had an explosion of inginuity go off inside that human head of his, and is now flitting around and grabbing all sorts of parts and putting them into a pile in the workshop, there are quite honestly an alarming number of hoses, needles, and gears. and if anyone can guess what idea he just had... please don't say it :D

"Romulus" he says distractedly as he opens the boxes and crates of medical supplies, confused by the complexities of the machines within. The high level of technology is far too complex, with its electronic powered equipment, and motherboard driven command systems... looking in the tool room, he takes only the simplest of tools, like wrenches, spanners, cutters, hammers, pliers and other similar things. He begins to take spare metals and create gears and pistons so that he can do things the way that makes sense to his specialized form of crafting. In the power room Romulus looks confusedly at the generator, which just sits there... no moving gears or anything.... How does this....stuff work?

Romulus wanders over to the medical crates and looks into the power room, and into the tool shop. Face lighting up like a dwarven child with a pint of lager and a plate of hardy potatoes

You can almost see him mentally aligning every word and sentence before he says them aloud. Romulus can't seem to hold still, as if he is filled with enough energy to power a dozen people... he has produced a bunch of wires and gears, and is currently fiddling with them, not really making anything, but just twisting the wire, or weaving it through the gears, and making a little crank to turn them. He seems to crackle with excitement, but seems uncomfortable with talking...

Romulus starts to talk excitedly, but stops awkwardly as Carl walks away, feeling self conscious, from the unhelpfulness of the overseer, and pops open the seat of his vehicle. Inside of the storage compartment is a wide assortment of different pieces of machinery, gears, pistons, compressors, filters, belts, wheels, cogs, nuts, bolts... all sorts of random junk. Taking hold of a softball sized orb of brass, Romulus cranks a small handle, and a faint whirring comes from inside of it, after being wound, has the top half click open and bounce upwards, revealing a large amount of clockwork and a helicopter-esque set of rotors to sprout from the top. Floating jauntily just above Romulus' standout hairdo it awaits instruction. As Carl comes back Romulus quickly tries to ask him a question, IheardthatthereisanindustryherethatbuildscomplexmachineryandneedsemployeesI wanttoapplyforajobatonebutIdontknowwhereanyareatIwassentherebymyteacher, Thorg ,becauseheknewawomanwhoworkedforhimonceandhesaidIhadtalentlikeshedidbutIcan 'trememberwhathernamewas! A vehicle of sorts is driving towards Kuros, its Hover-Engine and the design in general, is rather antiquated, but is unlike any other engine that has been seen, its rider having created it out of a template that only he can imagine, its antigravitational drive is powered by clockwork. The brass and copper construction is regulated by a crank mounted in the handlebars. The rider of the bike is a human of adolescent age, his rebellious blue hair spiked up over his heavily tinted goggles. The bike begins to slow as he spots the construction work that is going on, He had been told that the city was supposed to be industrious, but the remnants of burnt building was not a good sign. Though most hoverbikes are very quiet, Romulus' creation is completely silent except for the pushing of pistons and the ticking of the unique engine that powered the vehicle. Bringing the vehicle to a complete stop near one of the dwarves that is overseeing a repair crew, Romulus dismounts, and walks over to the Overseer. "Hello, ummm... Two things, if you have a moment.... ummm.... What happened here, and uhhh... where is the ummmm.... I can't recall what its called, but its a... uhh... engineering... place" Despite his rebellious appearance, and outfit of sturdy leather, Romulus is still in a definite awkward phase, only truly comfortable doing something he knows how to do.... and talking to people is certainly not one of those things.

Would Jiminy employ a talented youngster who has a knack for putting together machines with the capabilities to build/lift/manipulate other machines? Its a character I was thinking about making for a while, but I wanted to talk with Arthur Barren before so that I made sure I wouldn't be stepping on his toes :D |
