Quickly firing off a shot at the raider holding the lead rope, Rhavenna stows her bow as she prepaers to race to the children's defense. "Hold on tight", she says looking over her shoulder at Tidus as she readies herself to run. Longbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Despite the dire circumstances, or perhaps because of them, Rhavenna couldn't hep grinning at Tidus' response to Aslan's constant baiting taunts. He was right about them running a but ragged. She and Aslan had been running to cover as much ground as possible for the better part of the day, and she could tell that Tidus was tired, his weight a little more slumped on her back, his arms having to hold on a bit more tightly, not that she minded. "You're right, it could very well be a trap, and we're pretty damn tired......" she says softly, turning her head to make eye contact. "But Aslan's right that these bastards are up to nothing good, and if we walk away from this, we're sentencing those two to the death of a cold callous world that doesn't give a damn."

Rhavenna smiles as Tidus settles on her back, shaking her head at Aslan's jabs. Besides, what she'd said was true. They would make faster time if Tidus rode, the fact that she enjoyed the feel of is arms around her waist was....incidental. Forcing herself to focus she considers the best course of action. "Probably best to follow his directions, at least for now." she says turning towards the east. "Hold on tight." she says with a smile, before beginning to move, first at a canter, then a run to the east, seeking to cover as much ground as possible. Hope you feel better

"Thank you, for everything." Rhavenna says to the Dragonrider as they part ways. As he closes the doorway, she takes a last look at the picked bones of the fallen centaur, trying to suppress a shudder. "Well, we should definitely get as far as we can while it's still daylight. " she says to her companions. "We might make better time if you ride on may back Tidus." she suggests, hoping it wouldn't injure his pride. She knew that Aslan could move faster than a normal human, though not quite as fast as she could.

Turning her head to look at Tidus, a glimmer of a smile flashes across Rhavenna's features along with a genuine heartfelt flicker of something deeper. "I can't begin to tell you what that means to me." she says, holding eye contact for more than a moment. "We need to make it out of here though, Hawk and the others are counting on me, and from the sounds of it, they'll need our help......there's no one I'd rather have with me." Deep down she knew that even though Hawk would forbid it, and rightfully so, there were members of her company that would be looking for her if at all possible, or at least keeping an eye put for any sign of her.

Rhavenna follows through the alcove, squeezing through as best she can. Her jaw drops at the sight of the massive dragon, so long inert as to have suffered atrophy. The sight of something so mighty in such a state is enough to bring the sting of tears to the ranger's eyes, and with it anger at the every encroaching darkness that seems to have taken over this part of the world. "So this is why you stay." she says compassionately, understanding the torment their host must have endured all this time."Is there anything...magic...anything that might restore him?"

"I...." Rhavenna starts then stops, the information still difficult to process. She was used to being the stand out in a group, often one of the only if not the only centaur in a group, and even then, different. So she chose to define herself differently, as a warrior, and a mercenary, a soldier like any other. Somewhere deep down she was a bit shaken by the finality of the words, but she didn't need other centaurs or specifically other Dvezda to feel a sense of belonging or connection, she had that now. "I will, thank you for the warning, for helping us." she says gently touching Tidus' shoulder and giving him a look, subtly indicating he might not need his blade now. "I guess that's where we need to head."

Watching the man warily, Rhavenna lets out a breath, still tense but opting to answer as she exchanges a glance with Tidus, a bit reassured by the readiness of his weapon. "I...we are trying to reconnect with the rest of our band....a Mercenary unit, the "Blades of Death", across the Icerimes. We were hired by the Lord of Orlov initially and broke off to deal with a few issues." she answers, summarizing their trials. "We have been facing obstacle after obstacle trying to get back to them."

Despite the fact that Tidus' rising rage gave her a feeling that was hard to describe, but enjoyable nonetheless, the sudden silence brought her mind back to the danger outside....and the fact that they might have gained it's attention. Gently she rests a hand on his shoulder, drawing his furious focus away from it's target for a moment.

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 "I'm pretty sure he'll turn up when we most need him. Men like him are just too damned ornery to die." Rhavenna whispers back. Resting through to the following day, all is the same as usual until the eerie quiet prickles her instincts awake. Looking at her companions she listens for the sound of their breathing in the quiet cave, snapping her fingers to test the sound in the area.

Knowledge Geography: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 The rolling flames washing through the cave, and the subsequent screaming sounds keep Rhavenna quite distracted, so much so that while she notices the dark mountain in the distance, it fails to trigger any semblance of memory. She keeps a hand near her weapons as they move, following the giant elf.

"He went back to deal with whatever is causeing the shaking of damn near everything in there." Rhavenna says as she stands, grateful for the support from Tidus, and far more so for his presence. "Pretty much commanded me to not to stop or lookback. He said he'd find us." "I've never seen anyone like him before. He looks like a giant elf." she whispers as she gets re-accustomed to solid ground.

Knowing beyond any possible shadow of a doubt that she absolutely needed to listen without argument, Rhavenna gets on the boat, settling into a secure position, tucking her legs beneath herself, while tightly gripping her bow, more for the security of it than any sense of an actual target.

When the soldier blocks Tidus from following she frowns, but nods as Tidus quips to shout should she need him. For some reason that was reassuring. She notes the sense of urgency throughout the halls. They were readying for war. At the sight of Faldirk’s expression, a deep foreboding fills her. The old man was not one to worry easily. ”Thank you Abbottess for holding these things as well as the bags, you do me a great service.” What all is included in the stuff in the lockboxes?

I auto succeed because he's human. lol. Sense motive +15 Rhavenna is silent for a few moments quietly studying Tidus' face. Ironically a bit more color flushes to her own as she starts to piece together what was the likely topic of conversation, along with a glimmer of a smile. As his competitive nature rises to the surface she grins at the wink. "I'd definitely bet on you. I've seen you in action, and it is quiet a thing to behold." she finishes quietly.

Safe to assume the path to the lower level where the baths are don't really accommodate a centaur? Before relating stories of her own youth "Why do I get the feeling she was getting at something I don't know about, but might be the subject of?" Rhavenna asks Tidus, a look of curiosity and a touch of color on her face. "Aslan I mean."

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28 Awesome! Rhavenna listens, intrigued by both Tidus' story and the fact that he feels comfortable revealing it. Her eyes widen as she notices the minute details of his masterful shadow work. The fact that the shadows responded to him the way they did, unlike the way normal shadows should, spoke volumes. There was apparently no limit to his incredible talents. "You are a truly fascinating man Tidus." she says with a smile, before turning to look towards the chamber's entrance as she hears the rise of voices.
