And Darnellios and Gabriel, please fill in your character info in RPG chronicle.

Done.

Grand Lodge

Fort: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 1 = 10.
Stabilize: 1d20 + 2 - 1 - 13 ⇒ (4) + 2 - 1 - 13 = -8.

Well, Gabriel is *definitely* dead now.

Grand Lodge

I agree, it doesn't change his hit point total, but it *does* change the negative hit point number at which Gabriel dies.

Grand Lodge

FYI, Gabriel does not have enough prestige for a Raise Dead, so please just report him as 'dead'.

I also do not have any more PCs in the right level range for these Emerald Spire levels, so I will have to bow-out of this campaign.

It was short, but bitter-sweet!

Grand Lodge

Gabriel... is no longer breathing.

Unfortunately, 3 con damage reduces his Con to 11, and he has been reduced to -12 hit points, which is death :-/

Grand Lodge

There are also some stabilisation rolls needed...

Fort: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (9) + 4 - 1 = 12.
Stabilise (last round): 1d20 + 2 - 1 - 8 ⇒ (10) + 2 - 1 - 8 = 3.
Stabilise (this round): 1d20 + 2 - 1 - 12 ⇒ (15) + 2 - 1 - 12 = 4.

Grand Lodge

Gabriel peeks around the corner, and attempts to overwhelm Red's mind.

Daze. DC 17 Will negates.

Grand Lodge

Not wanting to be left behind, Gabriel hustles forward.

Double move.

Grand Lodge

Gabriel attempts to overwhelm Purple's mind again.

Daze. DC 17 Will negates.

Grand Lodge

Gabriel attempts to overwhelm Purple's mind.

Daze. DC 17 Will negates.

Grand Lodge

Feeling that his new allies have matters well in hand, Gabriel delays, keeping an eye out for the arrival of reinforcements.

Grand Lodge

Not wanting to be the front line when enemy reinforcements start arriving, Gabriel moves into the middle of the group.

Grand Lodge

Gabriel steps forward, and attempts to Daze Red.

DC 17 Will negates.

Grand Lodge

Gabriel, with as much dignity as he can muster, strides forward into the room... and hides behind the rogue.

Grand Lodge

No prep from me!

"Surprising them, if possible, seems like a good idea."

Grand Lodge

Gabriel gives the liquid inside the vial a cautious sniff.

Craft(Alchemy): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15.

He then points to the other door exiting the secret room.

"I guess that is where we should go next?"

Grand Lodge

"Well, if gas masks are needed around here, I am certainly not one to say no..."

He immediately tries to fit one of them to his face.

Grand Lodge

Gabriel wracks his mind, trying to recall if the masks mean anything in particular.

Knowledge(Local): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14.

Grand Lodge

Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (20) + 16 = 36.

Gabriel raises an eyebrow and smiles, before replying blithely:

"One and half elves, I think you will find my dear Khon'Ur; my father was an elf, although my mother was human."

He then bows.

"As for what I can bring to the party, I am versed in a wide variety of lore, and can provide a modest amount of healing. Apart from that, my spells mostly specialize in debilitating my opponents, although I can also help with any swarms we have the misfortune to run across."

Grand Lodge

A half-elf dressed in a blue hooded cloak, placed over comfortable travelling leathers, bows politely.

"It is a pleasure to meet you all. I am Reverend Gabriel Helminth. I will not seek to proselytize, but it is my sincere hope that Razmir will bless this endeavor with success."

Grand Lodge

To be clear, this PC is a 'healer' Arcanist, but I have other choices, if necessary :-)

Grand Lodge

I, too, would be interested - that said, I would be spending replays for the first few levels, from memory; it has been years since I did them.

Grand Lodge

I have received the chronicle, and it is fine; thanks for GMing :-)

Grand Lodge

Gabriel moves to shakes Iron Man from his fascination, carefully not looking anywhere but the floor.

"Awake, child. It is not your time to rest..."

Grand Lodge

That's a decent range on a gaze attack. Usually, they are restricted to 30'.

Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26.

Knowledge(Engineering or Arcana?): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30.

For a moment, Rev. Gabriel feels his willpower being sapped, but his faith in Razmir enables him to shake it off.

He then carefully averts his gaze from the combatants, trusting that the more martial amongst his companions will be able to handle things.

Continue delay, but will prepare to shake anyone who appears fascinated, to try and snap them out of it.

Grand Lodge

"Fascinating..."

Remembering what happened last time, Gabriel holds his action, waiting to see what his allies are able to come up with, before moving to engage the constructs with spells.

Grand Lodge

Who are you calling human? ;-)

Rev. Gabriel nods his acquiescence.

"Agreed. Rather than bickering, let's focus on getting out of here alive."

He then turns back to Iron Man.

"You and I may not see eye-to-eye on essentially anything, but I can at least trust to the fact that you would not be a Pathfinder if you were not at least moderately competent at what you do. How about we table the Religion versus Technology discussion for a time when we aren't in a dungeon complex that seems bent on trying to kill us?"

Grand Lodge

"Really. Then maybe you should not have fiddled with them earlier. I think you will find that it was your initial meddling, you dilettante, that mangled the controls - I was simply able to coax one final task out of them before they failed. Unless you would have preferred to stay down here for all eternity?"

That is Rev. Gabriel's story, and he is sticking with it ;-)

He then shrugs.

"As to the briefing, as I said, I came away from it with an entirely different view... but then neither of us ever seems to agree on anything, so why should this be any different?"

The only tracks (six in total) we found belonged to the bandits - and all have now been accounted for - the four dead ones, plus the two we have with us. Other than the obstacle course, we found no trace of any Pathfinders.

Grand Lodge

I don't think there is another team of Pathfinders to be found - according to the intro text, there was a group who spent several days setting-up an obstacle course for us, but there is no mention anywhere about them still being down here, nor have we found any indication that there is anyone living down here apart from bandits.

Rev. Gabriel sniffs.

"What team? A group of senior agents spent several days setting-up an obstacle course for us, and then we were sent here to go through it. There was never any mention in the briefing about looking for another team..."

He then shrugs.

"Even if there is, we have thoroughly searched all of the rooms we have come across - there is nowhere else to go, except out."

Grand Lodge

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I present the way out..."

Rev. Gabriel carefully checks the door for traps, and if it is not trapped, he carefully returns to a position towards the rear of the party.

Because there *totally* isn't going to be a combat on the other side of that door ;-)

Grand Lodge

Rev. Gabriel nods in satisfaction, and heads back over to the control console that Iron Man had been playing with before, to see if he can fix the lack of an exit from the complex, muttering under his breath:

"Perhaps the man of faith will be able to solve the problem created by the so-called man of science..."

Knowledge(Engineering): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30.

Grand Lodge

Rev. Gabriel shrugs.

"Right then. Looks like we need to go back downstairs, and take another look at that control panel..."

So saying, he heads back to the elevator, and, once everyone is inside, presses the button to take it back to the previous level.

Grand Lodge

I did say that I put the gauntlet on when I was trying to activate the room...?

Grand Lodge

I did say that I was searching the room ;-)

Grand Lodge

Well, apart from the Eidolon, no-one feels strongly that we should do it, so it looks like we will pass on it?

Grand Lodge

I don't think Berith's vote counts ;-)

Grand Lodge

I don't mind one way or the other.

Grand Lodge

Rev. Gabriel breathes a sigh of relief.

"Well, I am glad that that worked!"

He then begins to search the room.

Perception 'take 10' = 32.

Grand Lodge

Assuming the skeleton does not animate...

Rev. Gabriel hustles forward, strips the silvery glove off the skeleton, puts it on, places his gloved hand on the plate, and then flips the lever.

Grand Lodge

Affixing the breathing-apparatus to his face, Rev. Gabriel takes a few experimental breathes to make sure that it is working. Once satisfied that it is doing so, he double-taps the button, eager to see what is beyond...

Grand Lodge

"It said exactly the same thing in the other language. I agree, "negligible atmosphere" does not sound good, but since this is the only way forward, we don't really have much of a choice... that said, I *can* hedge my bets a little..."

Rummaging around in his backpack for a few moments, Rev. Gabriel triumphantly pulls out a mask attached by a length of tubing to a large canister, which he straps to his back.

"This will provide me with breathable air for up to 10 minutes; hopefully, that will be ample time to deal with the situation."

Just to give a mechanical explanation, since People of the Stars (Page 19) is not up on d20pfsrd or Nethys yet:

COMPRESSED AIR:

PRICE 50 GP
WEIGHT 10 lbs.
Longer lasting than an air bladder (Ultimate Equipment 58), a jar of compressed air comes with a breathing apparatus that can be strapped over the mouth with a leather cord and provides enough air for a Medium character to breathe normally for 10 minutes (20 minutes for a Small character).

For 50gp, it is ridiculously good value; all of my characters have one of these now :-)

Grand Lodge

"Hmmm..."

Once everyone is inside, Rev. Gabriel places a gauntleted hand over the imprint, and punches in the code that he found in the side room.

9,2,7,4,6.

Grand Lodge

"Right then."

Gabriel moves over to the doors on the cylinder in the main room, and inspects them for traps. If they are not trapped, he will attempt to open them.

Grand Lodge

Rev. Gabriel nods in satisfaction.

"Right then, let's finish checking the rest of this room."

He then conducts a search of the room, for anything else of use.

'Take 10' Perception = 32.

Grand Lodge

Rev. Gabriel nods.

"It is certainly worth a try."

Taking one of the gauntlets, he gingerly dons it, and attempts to use it to open the hatch.

Grand Lodge

Heh. So we now have a hypo-spray ;-)

Rev. Gabriel returns to the main room.

"I managed to find a few interesting items in the other room, as well as a 'lift code'."

He then moves to the door on the other side of the main room, checks it for traps, and then opens it to explore beyond it.

Grand Lodge

I'll elect to 'take 10' on the Knowledge(Engineering) checks for a total of 25.

Gabriel speaks Common, Draconic, Infernal, Abyssal, Hallit, Skald, Terran, and Thassilonian, but can cast Comprehend Languages if required.

Grand Lodge

"Strong words coming from a man who 'hides' behind an armoured suit..."

Heh. Fair enough ;-)

Grand Lodge

"All I see is a dilettante, pretending at knowledge."

Rev. Gabriel actually has a substantially higher intelligence than Iron Man, and is trained in all knowledge skills ;-)

Grand Lodge

Rev. Gabriel shrugs.

"Indeed. You are performing admirably at a task that a trained Gibbon could do - fiddling with objects beyond their ken. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a room to finish searching. I'll get back to you if I start hearing screaming..."
