Sorry to see you go Safier, but maybe we'll get a chance to game together in the future. Aubs, your 4e games sounds a thing of wonder. We have a home campaign sitting in Paragon stasis until all the group babies grow up enough for the parents to come back and play. We're patient in Yorkshire.
Thanks! At the moment I have a mixture of young offenders and end of sentence long-time inmates working towards resettlement. Very, very varied.
Still digging through and posting as I find stuff that looks helpful. I now officially have a PGCE (Post Grad Cert in Education) and am allowed to do what I've been doing for the last two months :)

The injury was related to stepping two inches up onto a pavement from the road at the Birmingham Hilton (we'd gone to UK Games Expo). I spent most of last week explaining this to a bunch of young offenders who were mightily impressed by the strength of my jaw. "Shoulda bust that miss, you was well lucky"
Theatre still goes on. I'm due to start a production of The Secret Garden at the end of the month - looking forward to it.

Interesting. Felt like they've outgrown the space already (only the second year there). Much better in the afternoon and on the Sunday morning when things slacked off a bit and it was possible to get to the stands. Tripped over an iron bollard and knocked out two teeth plus much bruising, so I saw most of it in a pink pain-killed blur.

Sorry I've been a bit absent. Finishing PGCE and starting work in the same 48 hours has made it a little hectic. Irivis just told Arakan about the crazy elf over on the game thread.
Who needs new or upgraded kit? We have money so we might as well sort ourselves out before Aubs opens the doors of doom on us.

My PGCE is coming to an end and I have to finish up a couple of essays, write a reflective diary, do one more observation and attend an induction at the local nick where I'm going to be teaching offenders the errors of their grammatical ways. It should not make too much difference, but just to warn you in case I vanish.

Hope it wasn't anything too serious/expensive and just annoying (if that makes sense).
It's good to be back. Been a harsh year in some ways but things are looking up a lot now. Offender learning knocks many coloured spots off teaching in schools or theatres. Much better discipline and much smaller classes to name only two benefits.

Very good types, but you have to hunt for them. Mostly it's just goop inside very thin chocolate and instant sugar overload. Plus a gazillion adverts for what to do with a Cadbury Egg.
I thought chocolate eggs were pretty universal, which only goes to show how wrong you can be.
Treated myself to a Hotel Chocolat Rocky Road extra thick egg. This is a reward for nearly finishing my PGCE and also getting a job last week.

Seems quite likely to me. Irivis (probably) isn't exactly persona non grata in Tyr, but she's be unlikely to want to go there in any way that might get her noticed. Calla and Gorad weren't a particularly discreet pairing.
Thanks all :) Things are much better. I'm doing a PGCE (Post Grad Certificate in Education) and focusing on adult literacy and offender learning. That finishes late May and hopefully work will happen as a result.
Not until I've finished reading the thread. Will think about it. Knowing Irivis, it will have been some trivial reason blown up out of all proportion to its actual importance.

Angalia's not really a natural healer, so getting her out of there might be a good idea before she joins the ranks of the permanently dislocated. What level are you all at now? It's going to take a while to sort her out :)

On closer inspection, Irivis is already level 2.

Hi yourself :) It's been a while, but I'm slowly making my way back to the boards. I'm re-training as a teacher in offender learning. I don't want to derail this thread, but if I survive the next couple of weeks, any chance you might be able to slot me back into Dark Sun?
If you're looking at completed APs via PbP I suspect you'll have a very limited pool to draw on. There are a few exceptions, but most PbP games collapse and die within 3 months. What might be interesting from your perspective is widening the definition of your success pool and seeing how many completed games of any length you can find. If you do decide to take that route, I can offer a few :)
I will also keep checking back in. Once I get the worst of my course out of the way (probably mid May) I'd be up for running something if Grim doesn't re-surface. |
