It appears that I am smack dab in the middle of the hunting grounds of an angry Air Elemental named Irma, so if communication stops for a while be aware that I'm probably hiding in a hole somewhere, but will pop my head back out when it's safe.

Red Feather helps as needed. He really hasn't spent any time with children, and is not sure how to act... so he follows along, and tries to stay out of the way... his fingers absent-mindedly straying to his belt pouch now and then.

Noticing that the imminent danger seems passed, and the children could care less about the big puppy in their current drugged state, Red Feather steps around the corner and shifts back into his normal human form...No need giving any children a source for additional nightmares... the gods know I carry my share of sleep scars.

He then rejoins his comrades and walks up to the official looking man called Paddy...

"I can still call upon the forces unseen to provide you with more healing if you will allow"?

The big bad wolf remains in form... just in case, but seems to be more of a giant puppy dog, as he whimpers and noses the children.

A deep growl issues from within the chest of the immense Wolf, and it leaps forward trying to rip something vital from his old nemesis.

Advantage if an ally is within 5'. Not sure so I'll roll it, and disregard if one is not.

Red Feather is enraged when he sees that Lamm has fallen even further into depravity. He howls, and the sound is almost Wolf like... then he drops down to all fours, and his form begins to shift. The sounds of bones snapping and reforming, and muscle tearing and healing are almost sickening, but the beastial howl that erupts from the druid drowns out even these sounds. Until finally standing where the Shoanti sood is a gigantic wolf, shoulders almost at the height of the others, and growling menacingly deep in his now broad and fur covered chest.

Use the Circle of the Moon Shape change ability to transform into a CR-1 or less creature, in this case, a very pissed off Dire Wolf. He leaps into action towards Lamm.

RF surreptitiously pockets one of the vials of shiver. He tells himself that it's to always have around to prove that he has defeated his addiction. Time will tell.

Feeling a little queasy at the sight of the man he had just bashed his brains out, Red Feather takes advantage of the prone man, and bends down to touch Paddy with his healing touch.

Finally hearing the sounds of combat, the Shoanti shakes his doubt, and raps his staff once upon the ground, calling forth the power of nature ([ooc]Shillelagh) and charges the guard at the door, before he can take further action.

Red Feather keeps an eye on what is happening as well. His palms are sweaty and he really desires a fix. Just being here, and thinking that redemption is so close set his nerves on fire.

"I'm not sure we've scouted enough. What's behind the building, and what businesses are on the sides. I'd like to know the terrain better before I go blundering in. He's obviously moved since I worked for him... nothing looks familiar.

Red Feather, a bit nervous about confronting Lamm, and understanding that the more people scouting, the more likely to be detected, awaits the report of the scouts, from a dark alley within a 60' of the building. His hands sweat, and he seems to have trouble drawing a full breath.

Red Feather was obviously a bit nervous at this meeting of strangers thrown together by fate. He takes a closer look at the poor dirty beggar to see if he looks familiar. Up to the DM if they had crossed paths at Lamm's.

He then took his turn with the note holding it as though he could read it. I've decided that Red Feather is probably illiterate.

He watches the young man dig into the food, before taking a portion for himself. Never know when the next meals coming, so be prepared.

Red Feather is a tall thin man who looks like he could carry more weight easily than he currently is. He is obviously a Shoanti, but his tribal sect marks have been burned away, and only a few more recent tatoos decorate his visible flesh. He is dressed in plain woolen clothes, with leather plates providing protection for the casual blade or arrow. It is painfully obvious that he feels out of place here, but something is driving him to remain.

"Does anybody have any idea who's house this is? Anybody seen in the streets who we might could question"?

As Saul and Red Feather approach the little house, they see a scruffy looking character approach the door and knock at it.

RF whispers to his companion..."I would have expected that one to be sneaking in from his appearance. Maybe he is one of the 'Others' mentioned in the note".

Red Feather continues to walk towards the building, aware of his surroundings, and ready to react to the results of the man's knock.

Red Feather looks up alertly at the cries of panic. "Wait where was she last seen? We should begin to look there. Come Sauldin. We must not tarry before this cursed rain removes any clues to her path".

Assuming he is led to that location he begins to look for a trail, before it gets ruined by the rain.

Hi Guys. Still want to keep up with the game, and should be able to post daily, but work has suddenly slammed me and not sure when I can finish up my detailed background. I'll post some bullet points, and really will write up a suitable story when time allows.


  • Red Feather as a young man fell asleep while on guard duty, and allowed an enemy of the tribe to approach and kidnap the chief's young son.
  • He was a bit intoxicated at the time, having crept into the tribes shaman's tents and sampled some of his wares.
  • He was abolished from the tribe, and made his way to Korvosa, where he eked out a drug hazed existence for the next few years.
  • Lamm found him on the streets, and gave him a purpose, a full belly, and for a time a warm place to sleep. He continued to give the young Shoanti the pesh he so strongly cherished in return for helping Lamm carry out his dastardly deeds.
  • Finally Red Feather work up one morning with fresh blood on his hands, and realized that he had taken things too far. He had helped murder someone for Lamm. He couldn't remember the details due to his drug addled state, but both Lamm and the others told him that he had committed this heinous crime, and if he didn't do what they said they'd turn him in.
  • Needless to say things got progressively worse, and Red Feather was caught breaking and entering, and sentenced to time in the stockade.
  • This began a long series of petty crimes committed just to feed his habit. Not only was he on the run from the city authorities, but also from Lamm and his minions, who were determined to silence him once and for all.
  • Things seem to have changed... maybe for the better, but that is still to be determined. His Cell mate on his last incarceration was a wizened and elderly Dwarf. They had many conversations well into the early hours of the morning, and for some reason what the Dwarf had to say seemed to stick with the young Shoanti. Maybe this time I can resist the temptation... Maybe this time I can turn my life around... maybe this time I can do something about Lamm...

I've still gotta finish up Red Feather's story, but time keeps getting away from me. I'll at least answer the questions...

Ethnicity: Red Feather of the Sklar-Quah Shoanti

Religion: Red Feathers particular sect tends to embrace ancestor worship, though the Great Spirit Horse is also honored, particularly before travel or battle.

Day job: Red Feather was only released from the brig yesterday, so hasn't thought about picking up any work. He knows that he must however to keep from returning to a dishonest way of life.

Family: Red Feather has been ostracized from his tribe, and is no longer welcome to its hospitality. In fact no member of his sect is allowed to speak to him, and must avert their gaze when he is encountered. He has a ritual scar on his forehead which leaves no doubt to a member of his sect as to his social status. He does have a little sister who was a newborn when he left the tribe, that certainly doesn't remember him or what he did.

Friends: Red Feather really doesn't have friends. He has party buddies, cell mates, guards he is acquainted with, and a limited number of citizens who take pity on him. He finds it hard to trust, as he's been burnt in the past... but when he's not under the influence of substances he can be a friendly and dryly funny man. Perhaps making some friends will help him to find a purpose in life. One thing he must not allow himself to revert to however is working with Lamm... again

Woo Hoo. Should be fun. I'm fighting a head cold right now, but will definitely get things finished up before the weekend is over. I believe I have enough mechanically that I shouldn't slow down play... but need to flesh out my background a little more.

If anyone is interested Red Feather has spent much of the last 3-4 years in and out of the city drunk tank and jail... mostly for pick-pocket and shoplifting type things (His darker deeds have so far gone un-noticed), so if you're tied in with City Watch we might have a connection.

Most items that might help RF a lot are more expensive items, but any magical spears or AC items are more than welcome. At this point I'm all for somehow getting together enough Gold for a CLW wand, as I'm sure I'll use up a lot of the charges, so consider my share party wealth until our healing is buffed a little more.

As do I, though I might take Nezarm over Bedlam. It's easy to pick up a crossbow somewhere, and the knowledge skills and non-limited spell selection seem more flexible to me.
