"I don't remember him saying that. How about we ask the vampires, while we're here, what they know?" Quinley suggests. "It would also be interesting to know how long Ramoska is in custody here. The last murders weren't that long ago."

"How did you come to that conclusion?" Quinley inquires.

"Sorry, I guess I got lost somewhere and your train of thought left without taking me aboard." Quinley answers. "Where do you want to have a party, and why would I need to stay here?"

"There aren't much more vampires in Caliphas than those of Luvick. But it could well be an inside job." Quinley comments. "There are not many but other vampires who have the strength and speed to oppose a vampire."

"Only vampires as far as I know. And all from Luvick's clan." Quinley answers.

"I'm here to see Ludvick about the murders of his kin and offer help." Quinley explains in a very calm and polite way, pointing to his new aquaintances.

"I don't know which way to go here. I haven't used this entrance to the underground yet." Quinley excuses himself. "We still would to get deeper under the town. Which way would you suggest?"

"Wonderful. I'm all healed up." Quinley replies while checking on his wounds as they close.

"I'm alive and react like you to the normal healing. No undead traits here." he tells Spugnoir with a wink.

"My dignity got hurt. And my body a little. If you could spare some healing?" Quinley replies.

To quicken things, Quinley jumps down. "You're coming too? It's nice here."

"Do you want to wait until the actual guardian finds out what we've done to her babies?" Quinley offers as a counter argument, pointing at the devastation the fight has laid to the greenhouse.

Quinley stands up and tries to get some of his dignity back by wiping the plan't digestion fluid from his clothes. "That was an experience I could have done without."

Quinley steps in and stabs at the plant with his silver rapier, jumping back after the fact.

Quinley looks puzzled at the half orc. "How's that going to help?"

"Yes, actually. The park is no issue. The entrance is through the glass house. And there you find the daytime minions of the vampire guarding the entrance. I'm not exactly sure what the current team is though." Quinley replies.

Quinley meets them at the southern entrance of the park. "Glad you could make it." he greets them.

"It's hidden in a greenhouse in a park. The main guardian is some druid who got turned into a vampire." Basdel tells. "Where shall we meet tomorrow morning?"

"I see you are a knowledgeable man." Basdel tells.

"We could go by day, to not meet most of the vampire like guardians."

"How smart would you be when you're turned into a thrall? It depends on what you start with. And there are some powerful persons among them."

"There is a strict hierarchy with vampires. You won't find any of the real vampires at those entrances. It's some thralls, that got turned for just this purpose and who are expendable."

"And they would come back the next day anyway."

"But if you got the means to get past that without fighting, it's even better." Basdel answers.

"Yes." Basdel admits. "More like cutting the way through the defenses of the undercity at one of the secret entrances."

"Well, I would ask the leading vampires in this town. But since the murders started, they have shut themselves in. And even I can't get to them. But if you'd help me to enter, I'd introduce you to the local vampire prince. He knows for sure where to find the Whispering Way here in Caliphas, or wherever they left to."

"And I assume he'd appreciate if someone helps to end the murders to his subjects."

"I know, that the vampires of Caliphas turned their backs on the Whispering Tyrant after the Shining Crusade over 800 years ago, and are no friends of the Whispering Way. And I know of no one else who would have a motive and the resources to go after vampires. But I have no hard proof yet."

"Don't strain your memories. Our family name isn't that famous. Our larger family - that of the vampires - is the one that isn't best friends with the Whispering Way. And I'm sure you've heard of the vampire killings lately."

"My mother was one of those unlucky creatures to find themself in the morning sun, turned to ashes."

Turning to Grergof who looks especially suspicious at Basdel he adds "I'm no vampire myself though." Basdel gives Grergof his widest smile, to show his non-vampiry teeth.

"I have no proof, but it's the best lead I have. The Whispering way has a centuries old grudge against our family and it definitely isn't beyond them to kill people to achieve their goals."

Just as the group is ready to leave a man steps out of the shadows. "Good morning. It seems I’m not the only one searching for the Whispering Way. But alas, it appears that they deserted this place some time ago. My name is Quinley Basdel, and I’m searching for my mother’s killer. Perhaps we might be able to assist each other?"
