Grand Lodge 1/5

Couldn't tell ya, as I've no idea of the situation. However, I'd be pretty sure more problems will follow with a handle like that.

Grand Lodge

Cosmo just wanted to drop you an update. I recieved the package with all my missing books today. Thank you for resending. Keep up the great work.

Grand Lodge

Will do. If I get the items before shipment I'll make sure and tell you so you can remove them. And if they come after shipment I'll have them packaged and mailed back. I'm not looking to rob Paizo, i already spend to much money to try that.

Grand Lodge

Cosmo it's been a week and I still have yet to recive this order #988062. If you could package this order with my next shipment I'd appreciate it. Sorry for the inconvinence, but thanks for all assistance.

Grand Lodge

Yeah didn't think it was to the point where I should give up all hope on it. Just figured I'd bring it to your attention early. I will make sure to give it another week, and if I still haven't recieved it will let you know. Thanks again Cosmo for all the good work.

Grand Lodge

This order was shipped out on the 4th of August, and I have yet to recieve it. I have already recieved an order that was shipped out weeks after this one, so I'm not sure if it got lost in the mail or what. I will still keep my eyes out as this month is not fully over yet, but would appreciate any help considering this was a 100+ dollar shipment. Thanks.

Nic is a god, and an amazing man to hang out with. I cannot wait to feed off his energy again next year. Nic hurry up and read this threat man, we need to see some energy.

Kevin Turner

Grand Lodge

Erik, Lisa how in bloody hell did either of you have enough energy to even do that interview. Especially you Lisa, you were working so hard all day long at the register and yet you still found time to talk to us and answer our questions.

And hell Erik, there were moments I thought you were going to pass out from looking so tired. All in all you guys did a great job, and I enjoyed the interview. Keep up the great work, and maybe we can get some Paizo Podcasts?

-Kevin A. Turner

Grand Lodge

Ah sorry Mike didn't get your post in time. But dont' worry bugged Wes a lot. Great guy, even though he did kill me at the delve and didn't give me a sword lol.

Sad that GenCon is over, and I'm now sitting back at home. Going to miss everyone so much...though maybe I wont drink so much now lol.

Grand Lodge

Yes I am a skinny ass gamer, who was ONCE in great shape now...well...lets just say I'm no longer in the Army

And yes Gary Gygax himself told me about the convention in Wisconsin, and then invited me. WOOT!

*continues to feel like a little school girl fan boy and quickly runs over to the Paizo booth to annoy everyone more.*

Grand Lodge

Lisa is a sweet heart and a wonderful person to talk to. As is everyone there on the Paizo staff. Been a blast hanging with them, and look forward to doing more in the next two days. Wes, is very happy and a great guy. Been a blast getting to meet him and play in the Delve with him.

Grand Lodge

First off I'd like to say OH MY GOD what a wonderful last couple of days. Paizo has been amazing with it's dealings of fans and gamers. I would like to thank all of Paizo staff for their praise and kindess, and look forward to helping more when I can.

But now to get on about the subject of thread. I've been caught on camera. That's correct, for those of you out there who have been interested in what Potantsuem looks like can now find out. What none of you cared? Oh well. On day two of GenCon the bloke in the brown shirt and bear with Wes and Nic is me.

Being my first GenCon I've been overwhelmed on how many of the blokes from the Paizo boards and chatroom I have met. With them and the staff at Paizo I truely feel like I am home with friends and family.

If you have yet to stop by the Paizo booth if you are here at GenCon, or have yet to come to a GenCon I highly recommend you get a plane ticket and check out the madness for yourself. I am hooked, and will be coming every year from now on.

Besides, where else can you hang out with Gary Gygax, who was amazing and great to see at the Paizo booth. Make sure to stop by Planet Stories here on Paizo.com and pick up his book the Anubis Murders. Who knows, maybe you too can one day have it signed by him.

When I get home I'll be posting some pictures of the Paizo boards members who came, some of the event, and of the were-cabbage game. Been a blast.

While I'm rambling, may I recommend those who are thinking about going to GenCon next year check out www.irondm.com. IronDM is sponsored by Paizo, and co-runned by Nicolas Logue, and a blast. It was my honor this year to co-host this, the event Hellfire Congress, and assist in the running of "Beat up Nicolas Logue".

If I thought this year was great of GenCon, I can't wait till next year.

Grand Lodge

Yeah. Think it's Karzoug as a cabbage patch kid right?

Grand Lodge

James that's just wrong of you guys. Putting out a special cover for the GenCon release of Pathfinder. You know you are forcing me to spend another 20 dollars to buy the book when I'm already getting a subscription, just so I can have a collector's item and ensure that it is signed by all you blokes. That's a dirty dirty trick.....I'm impressed. If you can mate, can you save one for me to purchase.

Grand Lodge

There is weight for the Oger hook, just happens to be over a little to the left under the range column. But it states 10 lbs.

Grand Lodge

Depending on the group you can still do it. Sure you'll probably sweep through most of the first encounters all right fight wise. But if you are heavy into role-playing (as I am) you'll still get the enjoyment out of the game.

Besides I've seen two 15 level rangers get their buts handed to them by 10 standard goblins. As well seen a level 20 warrior / wizard die from a group of ghouls.

Granted both cases delt with a grtoup of 2 and a solo game. So long as you keep your group small (as mine is) you'll feel a challenge. But I admit, if you got a group of 6 level 15 characters, you probably wont feel much of a challenge.

Grand Lodge

wait wait wait. Their actual ability score is the average of 15 not the bonus. If that's the case that's fine, just some above average humans. But if their bonus is a +15 all I can say is dude your game's way over powered and there will be no challenge what so ever.

Grand Lodge

There actually is a Rise of the Runelords thread, and yes this post would do better there then here. I do know of other DMs who will be running the Pathfinder Chronicles Adventure Paths in Greyhawk rather then in Varisia. Yes that's Varisia not Varistia heh. And actually Varisia is only one of the small kingdoms of the world. The whole world being called Galorion.

Now while I respect the concept of the adventure path being run in another setting, which should be able to be done with some editing. I personally feel that it will be exciting to see this new campaign setting grow and know that I've been a part of it since day 1 as well as the various players that will be attending my table over the years to come.

However, if you are looking for more information on how other DMs will be converting, may I recommend starting a thread up on the Rise of Runelord's forum, and reading some of the previous threads there.

I'd supply a link, but kinda lazy right now sorry. However go to www.paizo.com. Click on Pathfinder, then choose the message board option next to the blog option. You'll find it.

Hope I was of some help.

Grand Lodge

*cleans his eyes* that was beautiful mate...just beautiful. I'll do my best to remember not to glomp Lilith. Give her my best, and let me know if there's anything I can do to help. Like giving her a goblin plushy to cuddle with.

As is evident I only have 3 players, so I'm contemplating putting in a NPC, although I've already beefed up the characters a bit (their stats have bonuses of +15, +14 and +16 respectively, also bumped the skill point total up one category (i.e. fighters, clerics etc. now have 4 skill points instead of 2), full starting money and one of the feats from the Player's Guide as a bonus feat).

While I enjoy your character's combined background, and feel that it will work wonders. Please, oh for the love of Buddah, tell me that your player's character's ability scores are not high enough that the bonus granted is not an average of +15!

Grand Lodge

There will be new prestige classes published within the adventures. However, they will not appear till around the time that a character could gain that prestige class (usually, this will probably not always be the case). As well all prestige classes will usually have something to do with that adventure, or the information obtained through the adventure.

Note: I do not work for Paizo Publishing, nor do I work on the Pathfinder Setting. All my knowledge comes from talking with the authors and managers of the Pathfinder Chronicles.

For more information, and better explinations please stay tuned for commintary from one of the writers.

"Psstt...James that's your cue mate get up here. WHAT? OKay so you're busy getting ready for GenCon, but I can only do your job so long before I don't know what I'm talking about. Fine fine, I'll keep them occupied." *starts to juggle the smiling and frowning heads of some goblins while singing the circus song*

Grand Lodge

Gary, when you're done let me know I'll buy you a beer. And if you'll be at GenCon let me know and I'll make sure you get one. I know you're one of the many people in the background of the gaming industry who rarely gets noticed or recognized, but I'd like to be the first to say thank you for your hard work. Appreciate it.

Now that I've kicked some butt, and brown nosed can I get my copy of Rise of the Runelords before anyone else?!? huh well can I?

heh.

Grand Lodge

Lilith when and if I can I'll help you out. I'll be bringing my knapsack along. One thing you can do though, is if you have a rolling case bring that. That way there is no lifting, though might look a little strange heh.

Grand Lodge

There has been talk that future Adventue Paths will start at higher levels then 1. THough there has been nothing official on when, or of what levels. As well whether or not Pathfinder will go epic or not.

Grand Lodge

Don't worry I've been noticing missing posts all day. One minute they're here, the next gone. Think something is up with the forums.

Grand Lodge

Here Here Pete

Grand Lodge

Now my knowledge is not official, but from my guess I would have to say that Paizo will be using the core iconics to run with for the demos.

Grand Lodge

Curious about that myself, as my group will be going from each adventure path to the next. But figuring out ways to ensure good game play, and challege will be interesting.

Grand Lodge

Not a bad idea really. There is a difference between lust and going all the way. *contemplates some things*

Grand Lodge

Ah, but what of the lustious woman who's beauty is enchanting. But when she makes love, her victums never last for a second go around as she rips off their faces and places it into the walls of her bedroom, giving the imagery of hundreds of faces locked in an expression of lust and passion.

Grand Lodge

ROFL! Well good, then you can help me learn what I"ll need to know to ensure my assistance is helpful and not a hinderance lol. Guess it does help with you room with a fellow GM lol.

Grand Lodge

God we are all going to be so drunk, from buying each other drinks lol.

Grand Lodge

Mmmmm peanut butter and blueberry muffins. ME a happy camper. I think I'm going to have to glomp Lilith at the convention.

Grand Lodge

wow. only took 30 minutes but got your e-mail Nick. Reading it now.

Grand Lodge

Yes, Lilith is making us all cookies. Better be soft Lilith, I like soft cookies.

Grand Lodge

Defently good times. Still waiting for the e-mail though my service can be slow at times due to it being a web based one.

Grand Lodge

ROFL! I was just trying to track you down through co-friends of ours. Great to hear I got the position. Look forward to working with a great writer such as yourself. I hope I'll learn some things while I'm there.

Grand Lodge

Sorry Nick forgot to add my contact info. Write me at KevinATurner@mail2world.com mate. Look forward to hearing from ya. You guys should know by now I'm willing to do what ever I can to help Paizo and the main contributors out.

Grand Lodge

Nick as i'll be basically chilling at the Paizo table all night be willing to assist. Might need a quick run down in detail of everything needed, but my time is yours mate. Just so long as this doesn't run into bar time with Jason and the gang.

Grand Lodge

Defently. Pulling the history and detail of a god through actual game play brings more to the experience. As well the players will remember better in my opinion.

Grand Lodge

Wont find it in the players guide. The date wont be released till Pathfinder #1.

Grand Lodge

Well you can tell your players too that in the wild (away from large communities) wild dogs do pose a real threat. I should know. I am an avid backpacker and survivalist. While on a kayaking trip, I was setting camp along the river near some cliffs, when myself and my partner noticed we were being stalked by coyotes, and nearly attacked. Thank god for torches.

Grand Lodge

Sorry forgot to also ment. Curse of the Chrimson Throne will take place after Rise of the Runelords. Am not sure how much longer afterwords though. I am assuming 6 months or so.

Grand Lodge

The beginning date for Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path is, the 23 of September in the year 4707. (Sept 23, 4707). Now as I do not know the names of the months in the campaign setting I am using the real world month. The adventure begins on the first day of Autumn, and in 2007 (campaign will coinside with real world time) the first day of Autumn is the 23 of Sept.

Couldn't tell you for the other modules, am only keeping up with the adventure path.

Grand Lodge

The light house on the island of the murderer chopper is not the mansion from the second book. That is actually located outside the town of Sandpointe.

There is a mansion in sandpoint, that I believe is abandoned. More info will be found in the first book, so not much help there.

My group is playing people (and a few outsiders) from the town Sandpointe. Who will be drawn together during the goblin raid during the Autumn festivle of the unveiling of the new church.

I'm running a group of six

Halfling-wizard/cleric
Human warmage/favored soul
Human bard
Human paladin/cleric
Human ranger/cleric
All of the above are worshippers of ST.Cuthbert, missonaries sent across the ocean to spread the faith of his good name.
The sixth charcter will be an elven ranger from Sandpoint. The elf will be introduced as a guide to the new land.

The part with all the clerics should do fine it's a little fighter low but the extra healing should be ok.

What the hell. Another Person is playing a Halfling Wizard/Cleric. No fare lol.

Grand Lodge

You also save a bit of money when you subscribe. Not much mind you due to the shipping and handling cost (which sucks but hey what can ya do).

Paizo: Will Charter subscribers be getting a free hard copy player's guide to each new adventure path that comes out. For example in Feb 2008 when Curse of the Crimson Throne comes out, will those who are charter subscribers get the players guide to that adventure path (should there be one) for free with the first issue of that path?

I think this would be a nice reward for those of us who have stuck by and supported from the beginning. Not to mention shouldn't cost Paizo to much money heh.

Grand Lodge

Alright EP, glad you are alright. We were all worried about you last night. And yes a lot of wonderful things were discussed last session.

Grand Lodge

Don't worry Jason. We'll hold it against you later lol.

Grand Lodge

heh yes sorry dutch. guess i got alcohol on the brain.
