![]() This order was shipped out on the 4th of August, and I have yet to recieve it. I have already recieved an order that was shipped out weeks after this one, so I'm not sure if it got lost in the mail or what. I will still keep my eyes out as this month is not fully over yet, but would appreciate any help considering this was a 100+ dollar shipment. Thanks. ![]()
![]() Erik, Lisa how in bloody hell did either of you have enough energy to even do that interview. Especially you Lisa, you were working so hard all day long at the register and yet you still found time to talk to us and answer our questions. And hell Erik, there were moments I thought you were going to pass out from looking so tired. All in all you guys did a great job, and I enjoyed the interview. Keep up the great work, and maybe we can get some Paizo Podcasts? -Kevin A. Turner ![]()
![]() Yes I am a skinny ass gamer, who was ONCE in great shape now...well...lets just say I'm no longer in the Army And yes Gary Gygax himself told me about the convention in Wisconsin, and then invited me. WOOT! *continues to feel like a little school girl fan boy and quickly runs over to the Paizo booth to annoy everyone more.* ![]()
![]() First off I'd like to say OH MY GOD what a wonderful last couple of days. Paizo has been amazing with it's dealings of fans and gamers. I would like to thank all of Paizo staff for their praise and kindess, and look forward to helping more when I can. But now to get on about the subject of thread. I've been caught on camera. That's correct, for those of you out there who have been interested in what Potantsuem looks like can now find out. What none of you cared? Oh well. On day two of GenCon the bloke in the brown shirt and bear with Wes and Nic is me. Being my first GenCon I've been overwhelmed on how many of the blokes from the Paizo boards and chatroom I have met. With them and the staff at Paizo I truely feel like I am home with friends and family. If you have yet to stop by the Paizo booth if you are here at GenCon, or have yet to come to a GenCon I highly recommend you get a plane ticket and check out the madness for yourself. I am hooked, and will be coming every year from now on. Besides, where else can you hang out with Gary Gygax, who was amazing and great to see at the Paizo booth. Make sure to stop by Planet Stories here on Paizo.com and pick up his book the Anubis Murders. Who knows, maybe you too can one day have it signed by him. When I get home I'll be posting some pictures of the Paizo boards members who came, some of the event, and of the were-cabbage game. Been a blast. While I'm rambling, may I recommend those who are thinking about going to GenCon next year check out www.irondm.com. IronDM is sponsored by Paizo, and co-runned by Nicolas Logue, and a blast. It was my honor this year to co-host this, the event Hellfire Congress, and assist in the running of "Beat up Nicolas Logue". If I thought this year was great of GenCon, I can't wait till next year. ![]()
![]() James that's just wrong of you guys. Putting out a special cover for the GenCon release of Pathfinder. You know you are forcing me to spend another 20 dollars to buy the book when I'm already getting a subscription, just so I can have a collector's item and ensure that it is signed by all you blokes. That's a dirty dirty trick.....I'm impressed. If you can mate, can you save one for me to purchase. ![]()
![]() Depending on the group you can still do it. Sure you'll probably sweep through most of the first encounters all right fight wise. But if you are heavy into role-playing (as I am) you'll still get the enjoyment out of the game. Besides I've seen two 15 level rangers get their buts handed to them by 10 standard goblins. As well seen a level 20 warrior / wizard die from a group of ghouls. Granted both cases delt with a grtoup of 2 and a solo game. So long as you keep your group small (as mine is) you'll feel a challenge. But I admit, if you got a group of 6 level 15 characters, you probably wont feel much of a challenge. ![]()
![]() There actually is a Rise of the Runelords thread, and yes this post would do better there then here. I do know of other DMs who will be running the Pathfinder Chronicles Adventure Paths in Greyhawk rather then in Varisia. Yes that's Varisia not Varistia heh. And actually Varisia is only one of the small kingdoms of the world. The whole world being called Galorion. Now while I respect the concept of the adventure path being run in another setting, which should be able to be done with some editing. I personally feel that it will be exciting to see this new campaign setting grow and know that I've been a part of it since day 1 as well as the various players that will be attending my table over the years to come. However, if you are looking for more information on how other DMs will be converting, may I recommend starting a thread up on the Rise of Runelord's forum, and reading some of the previous threads there. I'd supply a link, but kinda lazy right now sorry. However go to www.paizo.com. Click on Pathfinder, then choose the message board option next to the blog option. You'll find it. Hope I was of some help. ![]()
![]() GentleGiant wrote: As is evident I only have 3 players, so I'm contemplating putting in a NPC, although I've already beefed up the characters a bit (their stats have bonuses of +15, +14 and +16 respectively, also bumped the skill point total up one category (i.e. fighters, clerics etc. now have 4 skill points instead of 2), full starting money and one of the feats from the Player's Guide as a bonus feat). While I enjoy your character's combined background, and feel that it will work wonders. Please, oh for the love of Buddah, tell me that your player's character's ability scores are not high enough that the bonus granted is not an average of +15! ![]()
![]() There will be new prestige classes published within the adventures. However, they will not appear till around the time that a character could gain that prestige class (usually, this will probably not always be the case). As well all prestige classes will usually have something to do with that adventure, or the information obtained through the adventure. Note: I do not work for Paizo Publishing, nor do I work on the Pathfinder Setting. All my knowledge comes from talking with the authors and managers of the Pathfinder Chronicles. For more information, and better explinations please stay tuned for commintary from one of the writers. "Psstt...James that's your cue mate get up here. WHAT? OKay so you're busy getting ready for GenCon, but I can only do your job so long before I don't know what I'm talking about. Fine fine, I'll keep them occupied." *starts to juggle the smiling and frowning heads of some goblins while singing the circus song* ![]()
![]() Gary, when you're done let me know I'll buy you a beer. And if you'll be at GenCon let me know and I'll make sure you get one. I know you're one of the many people in the background of the gaming industry who rarely gets noticed or recognized, but I'd like to be the first to say thank you for your hard work. Appreciate it. Now that I've kicked some butt, and brown nosed can I get my copy of Rise of the Runelords before anyone else?!? huh well can I? heh. ![]()
![]() Well you can tell your players too that in the wild (away from large communities) wild dogs do pose a real threat. I should know. I am an avid backpacker and survivalist. While on a kayaking trip, I was setting camp along the river near some cliffs, when myself and my partner noticed we were being stalked by coyotes, and nearly attacked. Thank god for torches. ![]()
![]() The beginning date for Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path is, the 23 of September in the year 4707. (Sept 23, 4707). Now as I do not know the names of the months in the campaign setting I am using the real world month. The adventure begins on the first day of Autumn, and in 2007 (campaign will coinside with real world time) the first day of Autumn is the 23 of Sept. Couldn't tell you for the other modules, am only keeping up with the adventure path. ![]()
![]() The light house on the island of the murderer chopper is not the mansion from the second book. That is actually located outside the town of Sandpointe. There is a mansion in sandpoint, that I believe is abandoned. More info will be found in the first book, so not much help there. My group is playing people (and a few outsiders) from the town Sandpointe. Who will be drawn together during the goblin raid during the Autumn festivle of the unveiling of the new church. ![]()

![]() You also save a bit of money when you subscribe. Not much mind you due to the shipping and handling cost (which sucks but hey what can ya do). Paizo: Will Charter subscribers be getting a free hard copy player's guide to each new adventure path that comes out. For example in Feb 2008 when Curse of the Crimson Throne comes out, will those who are charter subscribers get the players guide to that adventure path (should there be one) for free with the first issue of that path? I think this would be a nice reward for those of us who have stuck by and supported from the beginning. Not to mention shouldn't cost Paizo to much money heh.
