Hope everyone had a great Tengu Tuesday - wark!

Wark!

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Bumppity.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Elysia should be able to place a 20' radius spread so that it only hits the critters. If not will save is: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 Another one? PMG! *shakes fist*

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Did F22-H24 move? If so, my action may change. If not, these suckers have 20' reach!

Spoiler:

I think this is what I want to do, but I'm not sure if any of them are damaged or have moved. If the one I attacked first is damaged, I'll go ahead and full attack it, I guess.

Flurry of blows:
One: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20 for 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 regular and 1d6 ⇒ 1 electrical
Two: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14 for 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 regular and 1d6 ⇒ 4 electrical
Three: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27 for 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 regular and 1d6 ⇒ 1 electrical
Four: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18 for 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 regular and 1d6 ⇒ 2 electrical

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna charges the nearest huge reptile (moving to K-19 to attack Mr. K20-M22). "They're eating the party people! Stop them!"

One attack at +15 (charging) AC 23 (-2 charging) and selecting electrical damage for no particular reason.
1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16 for 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 regular plus 1d6 ⇒ 2 electrical if she hits.

Nat 1? Seriously. Sheesh... OK, peeking now to see what happens. Second bite hits for 11 damage, ow.

Pinna squawks indignantly as the second big nasty ends up with a mouthful of bloody feathers.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna bobs her head and holds out both claws. "Pinna Left and Pinna Right will be glad for the company of Eormengrund Scalding Tears and Eormengrund Stinger, if Pinna's companions all agree." She points at the partying party members. "They are brilliant, but a bit... birdbrained." Pinna chuckles and fluffs her feathers.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna bows as well. "Pinna of Prime. The holy man has stated our mission quite well. Any help you can give us is welcome, since everything depends on our success. Everything."

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna kneels by one of the yuguloth corpses. "How did these come to die? The others said the building killed them - your Golden Pavilion? How is that possible?"

She looks on the cavorting crowd curiously. "Just like my family," she mutters.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna glances uncertainly at Lanwin, then points in E.'s direction. "Our driver followed no roadmap. He thought this looked interesting. There is a key here we need to find, somehow."

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna sidles over to Lanwin's conversation with the relatively sane creature. "Why were the giant snakes fighting? Where did the brown one go? And where is this?"

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna peers back to where they first appeared, trying to see what the demonic creatures are doing. She also tries to watch what's going on with the fighting reptiles, shaking off offers of drinks. "What is this place?" she mutters to nobody in particular.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna sighs. "This jocularity obviously led to a breakdown in discipline. What is there to party about, E.?" She tries to determine what sort of creatures are celebrating.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Will save: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 +1 vs divine, +2 vs enchantment spells and effects

Bird Tengu Monk/8

"Awk! The leprechaun's getting away!" Pinna hurries to keep up with E.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

"So you guys are taking revenge on a building? While those serpents are battling? Are, uh.... are either of the serpents with you?" Pinna clicks her beak. "Serpents are delicious!"

"What are they saying?" Lanwin whispers.

"They wish to know why we are here, as you heard. They claim to be suffering at the hands of the denizens of this plane and want to know if we are going to add to it. Privately, they were wondering if we were sent for their dinner. It sounds like they may be trapped here, unable to get where they wish to go - someplace called 'the spine.'" Pinna whispers back to Lanwin.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

"What world are we in, then, and how have you suffered? Explain yourself. It may be that we can aid you." In Common

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Infernal:
We didn't come here as much as we were brought here. I'm not sure why we are here. I do know it's not to be your dinner. I am not poultry. But that raises a question. How am I like a writing desk?

Celestial:
Everyone ready to rumble?

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna releases her grip on E. and Sebastian and takes a step forward between E. and the huddle of uglies, raising a claw to show she is unarmed.

Infernal:
Greetings, sentients. How did you come to be stuck here?

She readies an action to attack if anyone comes within range with hostile intent.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna glances at Sebastian's shield. "Mmmmm, aubergine. Did you know that's a tengu word that humans stole?"

Bird Tengu Monk/8

"Uh, E... are you sure that's where we want to go?" Pinna reaches out and snags Sebastian's arm with her other claw. "Everybody grab the halfling!"

Bird Tengu Monk/8

"Don't leave without us, E." Pinna's claw snags the sleeve of E's other arm.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

"My thanks, good Lanwin. I was afraid I would croak," Pinna croaks.

Meh, what I got was okay. I ordered from the cheap place, but I should've ordered from the expensive place. Once you've had the best, nothing is ever the same.
Very true, especially when Chinese food is involved. When it's good, it's so good. When it's meh, it's vile.

Heal me!

Bird Tengu Monk/8

"E. tried to remove that strange, tightly jammed gear that Ras'ug wrenched free... there," Pinna points to it, then ducks through the orrery to Lanwin. "Can you heal us, friend Lanwin?"

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna limps over to '5' and waves a claw around.

"Are you well? Is this how your machine should be functioning?" She clacks her beak thoughtfully. "Odd that agents of chaos cause stasis, which is as unchaotic as possible." She glances at E. "And that agents of chaos figure out how to fix it."

Bird Tengu Monk/8

"Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow."

Bird Tengu Monk/8

I have Pinna down 62.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Will save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

I'll say. Makes E look like a steroid-riddled monster.
But at least you're still stronger than the halfling sorceror...

Pinna feels so much better about it now. :P

Bird Tengu Monk/8

If she can tell which gear E was working on, Pinna will grab it and attempt to wrench it out of its place.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 strength check.

Oooh! Shiny!

Pulls down shades.

Well hello there, short, dark, and handsome.

Fluffs Studpuffin.

I'm old school.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Let's be more careful this time.
"She is a friend. Something you don't understand, I'm sure."
Aid another fighting defensively.
1d20 + 12 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 12 - 4 = 10 trying to hit AC 10 to aid Elysia to break the grapple (+2 to her check). +2 to AC regardless of whether or not it hits.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Ouchie! Will save 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Unless you tell me otherwise, I've moved you to O21 with this maneuver...

Looks good!

Bird Tengu Monk/8

"Drop that halfling!"

Pinna tries to duck over to the nasty holding Elysia and aid another on breaking the grapple.
Acrobatics to move full speed: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35
Aid another to break grapple, unarmed attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15
Beating DC 10 gives Elysia a +2 on her CMB to break the grapple. Probably provokes from the BBEG, but she'll take that chance.

What the? Did I do the 1d6 right? They're all 6's.

whoo-hoo!

Yeah, but my crit energy roll, the d10, is only a 2 where the d6 was a 6! D'OH!

Bird Tengu Monk/8

"Stupid worms!"

Flurry of blows against the worm at U-19, spending a ki point for a fourth attack. If it drops, switch remaining blows to worm at U-18 and, at the end of the turn, 5' step to U-19.

1: 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 12 + 1 = 29 if hits, 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 plus electrical 1d6 ⇒ 6
2: 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 12 + 1 = 33 if hits, 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 plus electrical 1d6 ⇒ 6
3: 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 12 + 1 = 15 if hits, 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 plus electrical 1d6 ⇒ 6
4: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 1 = 17 if hits, 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 plus electrical 1d6 ⇒ 6

What the? Did I do the 1d6 right? They're all 6's. Confirmation on hit 2: 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 12 + 1 = 32 for extra 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 and 1d10 ⇒ 2 electrical

Bird Tengu Monk/8

If the big guy is still up after Vassago goes:

Spoiler:

Flurry of blows, spending one ki point for an extra:
One: 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 12 + 2 + 1 = 22 for 1d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 = 11 regular and 1d6 ⇒ 2 fire
Two: 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 12 + 2 + 1 = 24 for 1d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 = 11 regular and 1d6 ⇒ 1 fire
Three: 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 12 + 2 + 1 = 18 for 1d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 1 = 13 regular and 1d6 ⇒ 6 fire
Four: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 2 + 1 = 22 for 1d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 = 11 regular and 1d6 ⇒ 2 fire

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Will save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 +1 vs divine, +2 vs enchantment spells or effects.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna stands her ground and flanks with the valiant paladin.

Flurry of blows, spending one ki point for an extra:
One: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 12 + 2 = 29 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 regular and 1d6 ⇒ 2 cold
Two: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 12 + 2 = 22 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 regular and 1d6 ⇒ 3 cold
Three: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 12 + 2 = 24 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 regular and 1d6 ⇒ 2 cold
Four: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 2 = 10 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 regular and 1d6 ⇒ 4 cold

Sebastian D'Aubergine wrote:
Edit: Looking at the map, I will have to take a five-foot step to engage the enemy. That might invalidate my second attack. If so, just disregard the second roll

Pinna moved to V-19 (not on the map yet). If you 5' step to W-20, you will gain flanking bonuses and should get your second attack as well.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

I'm cornfused, as usual. Pinna wants to tumble to V-19 to avoid BBG's AoO if it's possible to get there with 10 squares of movement within the orrery. Not sure if his shape changing counted as a surprise round action or not - if so, he's entitled. I'm also not sure if I can tumble at half-speed as usual or if it's quarter-speed within the difficult terrain. So, Acrobatics check to try to tumble (if possible) to avoid AoO. If not, then that check is moot because I can get to V-19 normally.

1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16 to tumble to V-19.

Once there, attack with, say, cold energy
1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 plus 1d6 ⇒ 3 cold.

"They threaten the beautiful structure of this place! Stop them!"

Once again, upping my offering to the dice gods. Curses!

As soon as you reach for the gear, we'll need to roll initiative. Is anyone else doing anything before then?

Nope. Just standing right next to the suspicious guy.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

"What are you working on now? What does it do? Why do you need to do things when the machine is stopped?" Pinna looks over its 'shoulder' and exclaims and pokes at anything shiny the guy is examining.

Bird Tengu Monk/8

Pinna nods at Ra's-ug's statement and wanders over to the strange-acting Modron. "Big place. What do you and other modrons do here?"
