Oh. That's how that works? I don't think I read that far into whatever book that was where I learned about Treants. I think it was "Flora Knowledge for the Aspiring Adventurer". Honestly, it was pretty boring. Just pages and pages and pages about stupid plants and what they did and what kind of sunlight and temperature they needed and how you could use them to remedy this or that condition because why would you use magic when you could rub random plant goo all over your junk and blah blah blah. I just skimmed through the ones that could kill me and then burned the book b/c wtfboring.

Detect magic, then spellcraft:

Erm. Well, I was hoping to interrupt him, but I was too slow. He insta-summoned. What can we do about that? Either way, let's search the tree corpse and see if he was carrying anything interesting. Barring that, I guess we'll just have to be ready for crazy s%%~ and you'll have to improvise some great lie.
Maybe we can do something to make it look like we've defeated these bad guys and they'll just leave? Tree boy is toast, so no toting him out to throw them off.

Yea, so as soon as he says he's going to summon aid and how he's going to do it, I light him on fire. If we're close enough (unclear if we're actually that far back on the map while talking, I moved myself and Tempy up assuming we're close enough) then I use burning arc, otherwise I use fireball.

Piety is down 14, so a round or 2 of LL plus an infernal healing should do the trick.

Limping a little over to Saio after the fight:
Me too! Me too! I can use some of your wonderful healing touch. Those claws, um, hurt. A lot. Maybe I'll be a little more cautious next time around.
Whispering while being healed:
Why is he looking at me like that and talking about his passion and boiling blood? I mean, I'm not clueless about guys and their libido, but after slaying demons? Is that a thing? Maybe some kind of enchantment magic or aura these monsters possessed? I didn't recognize the infernal things, so I don't really know what is going on.

I'll draw my dagger too. Then I'll actually blast it with some magic missiles b/c I wasn't even startled by it and I'm not scared of some big monster-daemon thing.
I don't case defensively, so I provoke.
If he doesn't attack, or rolls a 1:

Otherwise, I'm sure he breaks my concentration.

Alright Forty, if you can't tell no one probably can. You done checking that door for traps Edwin? Good idea to be cautious, we're in some ancient doom-tomb, so all kinds of bad things could be awaiting us, set either by the good guys or the bad guys. Are you good at finding traps? I wouldn't expect you to spend a lot of time looking for traps, but you do have to be observant so you can see other ships and stuff. In infernal, clearly annoyed with the uneducated superstition of her companions:
We shouldn't worry about the fact that this frog king worships demons or daemons and we're unleashing some unlawful evil into the world. Our master is not stupid, he knows what he's doing. Piety moves to the back side of the veil.
Huh, it looks about the same from this side, but doesn't make me want to hurl. Interesting.

Arcanist(Bloodline,Draconic) 6 (hp: 24/38 | AC: 15 (assumes MA, cast by Tempy) | T: 11 | FF: 15 | Fort: +3 | Ref: +2 | Will: +5 | Init: +2 | Perception: +0)
Well, knew that roll was too good to keep. Rebuilt her and she is now fully demunchkined. Hrm. Wish I hadn't built the other version. With the loss of the campaign bonuses, 2 levels and the metamagic trick, she looks pretty weak. I don't know if she'll actually be combat effective now compared to the PCs. Will probably just drop her into a support role for now. She can still do crafting and utility and stuff, doesn't need HP and spell levels to contribute there. I'll look at it more later and see if I can make some more changes to either preserve her power level or have her do something else.
Note: I think the constraints are reasonable to keep us from being overpowered as a group, just again wish I hadn't built the awesome version of her first to compare to.

What does she come in with, wealth-wise? Should I assume nothing and I need to buy her stuff from my main's stash, or does she bring some starting wealth? You mentioned 8k gp above, but that may have changed in the several re-framings of our composition.

Str 8 (Foible)
Dex: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Con: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Int 18 (Focus)
Wis: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Cha: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Well, won't complain about those rolls.
