Yes, please. The concern about Starfinder being secondary is already present and very sudden "oh by the way..." announcements definitely add to the feeling of being an afterthought.

While I very much enjoy the bespoke chronicles, what Hmm proposed is a reasonable compromise and I think would make a lot of the community happy.

Is the reason for no AP XP for Society related to the lower SFS level cap? I admit, I'm disappointed to hear that there won't be boons or credit for running them now.

Having played with mechs a lot, I think it was a gap in understanding between some of the writers and the actual mech rules.

You don't spend money for mechs, much like starships. You just don't for the same reasons of "We sell the mech and retire" or "we buy a level 20 weapon." Yes, parties shouldn't do that anyway (nor should a GM allow it) but its proof against dead ending an adventure.

As far as UPB, you do need them for repairing damage. That's pretty much the extent of their use (outside of making gear for the PCs).

As there are no alternative rules presented in Mechageddon compared to the standard mech rules in Tech Revolution, you have to go a bit Occam's razor with it as an editing mistake.

Is there anything on ServoShell technomancer and its early level action economy?

As the class doesn't come with an inherent buddy and its unclear how one gains a robotic companion (probably archetype?), its reliant on Summon Robot. That has a lot of action economy issue since its:

Round 1: 3 to summon
Round 2: 1 to sustain, 2 to cast (most) spell(s) (3) leaving no actions to Overclock.

So we can try again:

Round 2: Cast a spell (2), Overclock (1), out of actions so can't sustain what you just overclocked and it vapes.

This may be a result of not having more (or enough) (1) spells to cast to allow you to have (2) left over for Overclock and Command an Animal.

Is the access to PF options (more specifically the classes) a preview and going to be a later option? Like year 5+?

I know it going to happen but it'd be nice for Starfinder to just be Starfinder for a while.

No scenario tags? Those weren't really mechanical per se, just a "Hey this scenario has X in it"

I’ve been talking with were figuring that the Operative would be too close to a rogue in feel to need to keep operative in the game

I'd be extremely surprised if PF classes had any impact on what SF does based on what they've said about the "meta" states of the game. Compatibility, sure but they shouldn't otherwise directly impact one another.

PF gets 3 panels and SF only part of the keynote :(

Boon to allow access to the Scaling 0-level spells variant rule, similar to the one for prepared casting.

Personal Shuttle: A non-combat, vanity boon that you can use on the trips between Pact worlds (or anywhere!) where there's no risk of combat/need for a "real" starship. Effectively, an RP boon to cruise in comfort (with Large-sized seats!)

You're right that it's better balanced, but it still can't escape some legacy issues of 3.5e D&D framework it's built on - the skill system being "all or nothing, and frankly don't try if you're not an Operative", cantrips not scaling meaning casters need to blow feats on anti-thematic longarm proficiency not to be useless when not casting slotted spells (I know it's fixed in Galactic Magic, but it's an optional rule), or spaceship combat being ugh.

This book will likely address a lot of the above, but still, give me PF2-based SF2, maybe with some small differences (Stamina system and ABP as default in SF2?). This will also let Paizo have one engine for both games, meaning designers no longer would have to switch between PF2 and SF1 thinking.

We got scaling cantrips in Galactic Magic, just in case you missed them ;)

NM, you said that! Still, other than SFS, its a pretty easy rule to just "turn on"

Why? A SF2 based on PF2 and fixing some of the biggest issues with the rules (lack of scaling cantrips, starship combat, Ivory Tower design) is quite a frequent call around here.

The same is true on the other side of the house. Not wanting a 2e because the design philosophies don't match up with the flavor.

They likely designed this adventure with archive of nethys in mind, but did they remember to tell reader about archive of nethys?

I guess the biggest thing is the text at the beginning "This book refers to other Starfinder products using the following abbreviations, but these additional supplements are not required to make use of this book. Readers interested in references to Starfinder hardcovers and Adventure Paths can find the complete rules available online for free at paizo.com/sfrd."

So it says that the other books aren't required but they are. Nethys is given but, yes, even in 2022, there are still people who don't have access to an online device all the time.

About the stat blocks in the book. There are A LOT of references to stat blocks in APs without a reprint (or corresponding Alien Archive entry) in the Adventure Toolbox for the book.
