Been hoping to get into this campaign for ages, here is Parneth a Cleric of Pharesma. I'll update his stats etc when I get time and tidy up his background if I've mucked it around too much since his last effort. When chosen in a previous CoCT campaign, the game folded before it even got out of the initial set up scene, so pretty much a newbie to the campaign. In several other campaigns, where I post daily, or at least make sure I see if there are any developments that need a response.
Amgir, Hu5tru: My introduction was merely a statement of fact of Parneth's game history, I'm sorry it caused such furore, it wasn't the intention, as I didn't remember it was Hu5tru's character Iolana. The decision to close the game was one taken by the GM, as far as I could tell. One or two players found they had problems with Hu5tru's character. The GM decided the rifts in the party were too great, Parneth was basically left in the middle, that whilst he thought Hu5tru's character was a little different, he was on the whole working with her. He might not have agreed with her stance on everything, it wasn't anything he couldn't have worked with. In fact I hasten to say that Parneth was the only character Hu5tru had any sort of positive relationship with. I was shocked when suddenly the game stopped, perhaps I should have been reading the OOC thread more. It was a shame 'cos it was about to start getting interesting.... My final post in the game was
Maybe it was my thick skin, which ignored some of Iolana's directions and comments thus allowing me to plough on in a different direction, which at least ended in a bit of group cohesion. Thanks DM Patcher, for getting it all started and whilst I wuld enjoy you DMing me again, I particularly want to try and get parneth into a CotCT game. For the most part it was enjoyable, but it was more difficult to navigate than most due to the group dynamics. Thanks to the players who maybe I'll meet again on another adventure, though perhaps Iolana might take heed and temper her words. I would have found it much easier if Iolana was written in 3rd person, it might help. Like I said, it didn't go that far...a short start and quick end
Probably too late for this but just in case.... I have have the pleasure of playing with Shanosuke and Roidage, who may know my character Tarvinda. Anyway here's a Cleric of Pharesma that has started a Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign before, but it got canned when another in the party made it too difficult for the rest and the DM. If there's a chance, I'd sure like to get him in a CoCT game. His back story is on the character sheet for your perusal.
Yenrry Clockweaver wrote: "A foolish band of heroes, thrown together to take down an evil crime lord," The tall man looks down at the halfling, smiling at his answer. several people nearby reply with their wishes. "You may be small in statue, but my, you're not short of foolish heroes, ready to play their part in your story." he laughs. He offers his hand to the young man, "Parneth Servais, though just call me Parneth, and you are?" He waits for the answer before continuing with a glint in his eye, "No, it is not my place to be a hero, but maybe I should counter my nature and for act the part of the evil adversary, for by nature my way is modest and ordinary. Not many notice the gentleness of the power of healing, until their need is great, so to act contrary might indeed be fun. Be rest assured little one, that in life, it is evil I fight though the warmth of the heaing given me by my mistress, though she herself lets good and evil live side by side."

"Lady, what you say of the Lady of Graves is true, none can really judge but her as the souls makes their journey to their godhomes. Yet I must agree that ridding this city of Lamm and his ilk, can only bring peace to all. Though, no doubt there are others who would fill their places." he sips more of the drink, before making his way to the bar, where he stands patiently for his cup to be filled. His eyes take in the scene, noting the rabble rousers and those looking on. All tis talk of the king and queen, there must be time to adjust, too many run before they walk. his face takes on a look of sadness as he recalls the increase in bodies bought to the cathedral yesterday. It is rabble like this that Pharesma is looking at even now, if they but knew. Yenrry Clockweaver wrote: "And that, my fine friends, is just a sneak peek into my upcoming play. You are, indeed, fortunate to have been here this eve." He quickly turns back to the bar and nurses his beverage. He turns to the young actor near, "Indeed, a rest from this would no doubt be a relief. Your play, what is it about?"
Rising from the table a man dressed in the robes of the cathedral, long flowing purple and blue, around his neck a chain holds a vial of water, held in wooden swirl painted white. He watches the others, wondering who will be called before his gods and take the trip to the Boneyard first. Some will not survive, it maybe the lady calls me to her side. "You speak of this Lamm, so we seem to have much in common, although I would speak with him. He has something that belongs elsewhere, I shall find it. " He takes the bread left on the table, the crusty crumbs crunch in his mouth. The remnants of his dark brown stew are wiped from his mouth, with a sweep on the back of his hand. He takes the red pottery mug from the table, drinking it to its end. "Good, now that's better, to face the rest of the day with a full stomach, now I am ready."
You said you wanted regular posters, then you are free to look at my posting record for Chi Treignial, as she is in an active game so I post a reasonable amount. I'm in the UK so its BST here at the moment.
Here is Parneth servais, a human cleric of Pharesma, as he played in a previous CotCT game, which got canned very early on. His basic storyline does not change...he has been sent on a mission to Magnimar by the Bishop to retrieve the stolen holy artifacts, the mission though unsuccessful has produced new leads. He is heading back to the cathedral with the new information when the storm happens. 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 5) = 16
I will use the rolls to change the character if selected. 14, 15, 13, 14, 15, 12 to be put in different abilities.

I don't know what you've got in your game re: classes, but a CotCT game I was in collapsed...if you think Parneth might be uitable at whatever level, and you can recruit a DM then, in fact there are 4 players in the game that collapsed that are available. follow Parneth's posts. Just in case it helps.

Apologies for not replying here, I didn't look too much here as I was trying to keep going in the game and missed all this. I must say i found it hard with Iolana, which is a shame because I thought we could have had a great little group going, with the backstories and stuff. Maybe it was my thick skin, which ignored some of Iolana's directions and comments thus allowing me to plough on in a different direction, which at least ended in a bit of group cohesion. All we can do is make our little difference and yet may never know if it unlocks a key to great changes for good or ill, or if it has no effect at all. Taking a deep breath, Parneth fills his lungs with the refreshing night air, hearing only the beating of his own heart. He turns his head, looking up and down the unusually quiet street, before focusing on his friends. "This quiet is unnerving for this district, most unusual and not expected after last night's troubles. There maybe safety in numbers. Whilst my natural inclination is to return to my cot and my very own comforts, I don't feel so sure tonight. Iolana, you who move with the utmost caution, should we not stay with Pace and the others?" he turns quizzically to Iolana, "What say you?." Parneth, listens to the others his head bowed, then speaks quietly, "Indeed your plan is well conceived, yet in my present clothes, I would bring attention to you if I entered such a place dressed as I am. I must return to the Gray and collect my things, but more importantly to change into more modest and inconspicuous clothing, such I can disappear into the populace without notice. Unless you are happy that I come dressed as I am? Yet the night draws on now, where and when shall we meet tomorrow to begin our journey to bring justice to Lamm?" Later after all discussion and plans are laid, Parneth turns to their host Zellara and , "I would thank you for bringing us together, may we meet again, I hope our news will bring you some respite from your sorrow. I will pray that my lady did send your loved ones on a journey to peace. May Pheresma guide your readings and bring you peace."

Parneth, his face white at the reading, his thoughts troubled over the its meaning, in particular his mind troubled by the impending disaster. "Whatever meaning the gods have provided in those cards, the road ahead is difficult and our paths intertwined. Whatever disasters befall, our destinies are set." He once more remains quiet, listening to the others as they bring the reading's meaning into their present quest. Eventually, he speaks "Mistress Chavakala, I cannot but agree that we must act quickly, yet not with haste."

Listening to the others, Parneth's gaze takes in the tapestries hanging around the room, trying to recognize their meaning and stories. He is especially interested if the tapestries have any religious significance. Parneth listens quietly as the others speak, "Lady Zellara, may your brother walk in peace and contentment in the life to come. I grieve with you at your lose, as I do all in this room who's loved ones have had their material life force ended by this evil man. It would seem our destiny, chosen by the gods of the good and the dead, through the cards Zellara has drawn, may bring this man before their judgement. If such is our course, then we must trust in the gods to aid us n our assignment. No doubt the gods will expect us to act, though reflection before we do, will help ensure our success." Parneth, rubs his chin as he says these words and continues, "it is right to spend a little time to understand our targets weakness's to exploit them as we can, and his strength's to so we can mitigate their effects. It is time for Pheresma and our gods bring this man before them in this life or the next for them to judge and punish as they see fit." As Iolana enters the room with another two, Parneth is just completing a prayer to the gods, seeking them to bless the food, left for us to enjoy. His clerical black and blue robes swish as he turns to face the newcomers, showing a pattern of scarab beetles, in gold and silver running down the collar. "I was about to eat, join me, you are friends of Iolana, then you are mine. And Iolana, who is 'my Lady' you speak of, do I know her?" All this while his hands have been turning over a bread roll, which he breaks and moves towards his smiling face, then eating slowly and deliberately. With his mouth a little full he asks "So what is your connection to Gaedrun Lamm?" he mumbles as bread crusts escape from the side of his mouth falling on the floor as he speaks. "Hmm, oh..."

Parneth turns and looks at the new arrival, he looks into her eyes as she smiles at him, after a moment his eyes flicker in recognition. "Why, I remember you, though please excuse me for your name escapes me now. But yes, I remember your lose brought you to us in the Gray. If my memory serves me, you husband has journeyed to Pharasma and thence to peace. Yet, if you have been invited here by the Harrow, then we might share a common interest the villain, a thief and more. Though first, if there is anything I can do to ease the pain of grieving, I am yours to command, I am Parneth, attendant of Pharasma." Parneth, his heart beating a little faster under his long blue robes, looks long and hard at the message. He looks up from his prayers and looks around, his face peering from underneath the hood that sits on his proud face, surely the messenger is still around. Yet however hard he looks into the deepest shadows of the side altar he sees no one. His prayers complete, he rises and enters the main body of the cathedral. The still sounds are interrupted by slow incantations to Pharesma from several of the other side altars, each venerating a different aspect of the gatekeeper of deaths journey. He sees nothing untoward, no evidence of disturbance, nothing unusual, just this card and it's message. His mind in turmoil at the thought that he may find some solace in justice for the deaths of his parent, he once more enters a side chapel, bows his head and seeks guidance. Taking the card and message, Parneth goes to approach his father benefactor, permission must be sought to pursue this lead, permission from Bishop d'Bear himself. For if this is true, the true relics stolen from the cathedral might also be returned and cathedral's power increased once more. Surely, the Bishop will grant Parneth his request to follow this up and in doing so honor Phaersma by returning 'The Blood Tear of Pharesma's handmaiden.' to its place amongst the holy relics in the cathedral. Evening approaches and a figure in dark clerical attire leaves the cathedral and the Gray, heading off for a rendezvous to discover the truths behind his parents deaths and Gearden Lamm.'s part in it. Aware that the city has heightened tensions following the death of the king and the ascension of Ileosa to the throne as queen. Parneth does not travel unarmed, the shape of a mace can be seen under his following robes. Although, he fully realises that this might be a trap, with his faith and hope in Pharesma, he knocks on the door, just as the last rays of the sun cause the red sky to darken into night. DM Patcher: I assume that the Bishop grants permission to recover the lost artifact, 'The Blood Tear of Pharesma's handmaiden.' a red gem, a minor artifact as per the background.

OK, just looked up the details, so Parneth is one of the living residents of Gray, living in the cathedral there. @Iolana, yes it would be a good thing for Parneth to have been the primary cleric in the resting of your husband. In your description of the life and death of your husband, to prepare his introduction to Pharesma he would have been touched by the love she showed her husband and even in her grief, a steely determination forming to seek out her husband's killer. He, may well have encouraged this, with his story of his parents death. If this is OK with Iolana, then it could fit nicely into the background.

Just signing in...and thanks for the kind words and picking Parneth. Got a bit of time back as family schedules changed, but not aoround much tomorrow. I see Parneth living and working in the Temple normally. If he knows any other characters, then it might be from either attending a family at the death of someone, or through his healing and potion making...alternatively he might have met another party member during some investigations into Lamm. I'm just as easy, if he is a stranger to the rest of the party.
A cleric of Pharesma... his background is in the profile and I'm in the UK...post daily in the pbps that do.. If you wan a fully speced out character, I should have time to do that after this weekend. As I have some family things to sort out, which will take me away from being able to post for a few days.

I've got this cleric of Pharesma who would be suitable for such a game, although it needs working on to get it sorted out. The current background is set up for Curse of the Crimson Throne, which he didn't quite get into. I'll change his focus to be more death and necromantic for this game, as it seems more appropriate. I'll get to flesh him out and change as required, probably on Wednesday, got to prepare for my RL group tonight, as I'm running the LOF AP.

Although made for Golarion, he could easy step into another setting, by changing the city. Meet Parneth Servais, His ability attributes were set up with a different system, I will change to 20 points.
Hmm...Only just realised the posts have gone onto page 2, whoops.....I've been updating with characteristics, only to see that my class is already selected...if I get through the selection process, then I'll finish the character off and work with you to get somewhere close to someone who will contribute to the party.
