A gloved hand raised quietly in the back of the room. "Who shall be the first to step into the ring?" A sonorous voice questioned. Now that he had drawn attention to himself, it was difficult to think such a figure could be overlooked. If he bothered to stand up straight, no doubt he would tower over the rest of the gathered combatants. Apart from the splash of red of a scarf around the lower half of his face, he was dressed entirely in black. His voluminous coat could conceal many things but the keenest observers would notice a lack of obvious weapons.

Although, I don't plan on using any, I would say the replenishing consumables limit should be set at a percentage of WBL so that as we advance in power, the effectiveness of our consumable resources can also scale with us. That said, in my opinion, the limit should be relatively low. I'd say about 600gp. BTW: Mokshus, partner up for the two-on-two matches?
You find a hulking black-clad figure looming near you. How long had it been there? Did you not notice its approach? Is it looking at you? Why is the air around it so cold? You can breathe a sigh of relief as the inscrutable presence moves off and soon you lose track of it in the crowd.
Palls rushes past the servant, shamelessly knocking her aside. Having a hostage would just slow them down right now.
"My existence is already slow and agonizing, thank you. I suffer from a condition called being alive," he replied with an easy smile, "I doubt there is much you can do to make it worse. Now, let us actually put together a plan as opposed to relying on training we don't have."
"I could set you on fire, is that good enough?" Palls said.
Palls grabs the back of the resident fool's armor and turns him around, "Other south."
"The path of most resistance no doubt," Palls said.
Palls picks up the sword and spends a moment enwrapping it in arcane power again before handing the dagger to Thomas.
Seeing the light Palls redoubles his efforts to get down the rope, dropping to the ground when he can do so safely and attempting to hide.
Palls climbs down next, flickering dagger held between his teeth.

Palls grabs the guard's keys and quickly undoes the lock on the door.
Palls lunges forward, reaching through the bars to grab at the guard.
"Thank you, boy," Palls said pulling the other dagger patch off the veil. As he focussed on the magically produced but otherwise mundane dagger, an unearthly sheen wrapped itself around it.
"Oh, come off it, lad," Palls said standing up properly for the first time in days.
The man in the corner opens his eyes once again as Alexander is returned to their midst. "What've you got there? That friend of yours give you some dirty linens to be burnt with you?" He asked.
"Perhaps the fact that I could rattle your teeth without using any spells if I needed to is throwing off your perceptions," with that, the man closed his eyes again. There was nothing more interesting to see at the moment. He leaned his head back against the cool stone.
"Well that was entertaining," the man in the corner said, his eyes open now. He nudged the unconscious man with his boot and snorted, "Tried to warn him."
Don't worry, I only want wands. I'm going to be going through a lot of them.
"Desertion, I skipped out on my patrols to see my brother before he was burnt at the stake." He did not bother to open his eyes when the young man spoke to him. "Resisting arrest as well, I suppose but desertion is what they were after me for. Tried to saddle me with a few other crimes but nothing would stick."
I know some DMs are touchy on the subject of item creation feats but would you be willing to let me take Craft Wand?
"Hmm, charming fellow," the man said before leaning back and closing his eyes. If he was going to be hung, he might as well be well rested for it. "I hate to break it to you but if you're in here with us then you're no better in the eyes of the law."
"Quit your banter, I'd rather not be beaten again," came a voice from the corner. Another human but one with a far-off look in his eye. He had received his own beating recently which had left a once handsome face with numerous bruises and a broken nose that was in the process of healing slightly crooked. His chestnut hair, once well groomed, was now shaggy and unkempt. Blood had dribbled from his nose and into his bread to dry there. "If there were a way out of here, it'd have been found by sharper minds than ours. This isn't some back country lock-up."
Everyone is running around trying to stab people. I actually went with Deserting.
