Sorry for not getting a post in sooner. Please don't let me hold up the flow of the game. Given the group's current makeup, I will probably spend a lot of rounds waiting and/or moving. I don't mind you botting me to delay or do full defense, GM.

Sorry for dropping off over the weekend. Oswin appraises the party, choosing to say little at present. He appears a bit uncomfortable around his angel-blooded allies. Day Job: (Profession Clerk - take 10 for a 21) Our kind GM perhaps overstated things a bit in recruitment, as his own character, Ignatius, played a far more epic role in our Green Market game than Oswin did. He's worked fine as a battle cleric when given a round or two to buff, but with low movement speed and such, he often never even gets into combat before it's over. I am thinking a bit of rebuilding him at least to some extent. I am going to buy Ultimate Campaign to finally do this *First off i want to re-train The Glory domain into the Heroism subdomain. This will give him an excellent combat buff for at least a few rounds. *Despite the sunk cost in gold, I am considering retraining a feat or two (Shield focus and maybe Weapon Focus) and ditching the sword & board in favor of a longspear. Maybe keep the sword and strictly use 2-handed. I don't think Oswin is a bad character, but I I feel a bit lost sometimes. Outside of summoning what can I do besides wait for something bad to happen and fix it?

Oswin roars in anger as the female div makes an escape. He grunts as he takes an arrows in the back. Nearly cursing under his breath, he casts Air Walk and begins moving towards the enemy. Buffs: Righteous Might 7/10 left; Divine Favor 8/10/

Oswin tries to resist the bite of the swarm. Fort: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32 The insects cannot find their way through the chinks in his armor, and his divine powers seems to turn the pests away. Shrugging them off, he hurries to get near the combat. Double move.

With the crowd on the move, Oswin tires to begin moving around them. He pauses long enough to call upon the power of his god. "Holy Iomedae, grant me the strength to defeat the wicked!" He then casts a spell that causes him to become much larger. Casting Righteous Might.

Reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 He feels the full force of the burning, and stands stunned as his allies finish off the enemies. He uses a wand to heal his injuries. Can we call it 7 charges? He gives the prisoners a cold stare as Tico orders them back. He then turns to the group: "Well done. I agree with Braugher, we should make our way to the speech as soon as we're ready."

I'm posting this in all my games. I was hoping that tax season wouldn't be quite so rough this year, but I haven't been able to pay any attention to my games after spending so many hours in the office (and posting during the day usually just doesn't work here). I've got six more weeks to go. I just don't think I can post more than once or twice per week. If you need to drop me, I understand.

Not sure how to help. I think it might be good for a few of us to go through the secret door while others enter from the front. That said, we stretched ourselves thin last time. I'm unfortunately now in the heat of tax season, so I am happy to follow any plans the group makes. Oswin moves along with the team, admiring the prison's construction for a moment. He notes with interest the door that Algor points out. The cleric is a bit quiet, trying to decide if and when the use of force might become necessary.

After the fighting is over, Oswin feels relief enter his frame. He enjoys the warming sensation of the channeled energy, then feels a tiny bit of strength return to him as Lyheri treats him. He has just enough strength to speak when Algor's spell stops the poison and his strength is restored. He wearily rolls into a crouch and stands up carefully. He adjusts his pack and weapons, then retrieves his blade. "Well fought, friends. That was quite a battle. And thank you for standing by me." Oswin the looks to Fendhal. "I can cast a spell of lesser restoration a couple of times myself, Fendahl. Could Kirrah use the aid?" If Fendahl agrees, he will approach Kirrah cautiously with palms open and offer up prayers for her to Iomedae. Lesser Rest. 1: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Oswin absorbs Tico's healing energies, then takes two more hits, a bite and a sting, from the div. More poison. Fort Save v. DC 25: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 12 + 2 = 23 Str damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Nearly collapsing from loss of strength, Oswin takes a gamble and calls upon his goddess to relieve his suffering. Attempting to cast heal. No valid 5' step for me to take, but I literally can't fight with a 4 STR. Concentration check to cast defensively: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20 The spell is lost. Fort Save v. ongoing poison: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 12 + 2 = 26 Tico's healing less the recent attacks nets me +11 HP. STR score is 4. So I am pretty much out of the fight unless someone can get the ability damage healed.

Oswin takes a hit from the spear, but it was very nearly much worse. No crit. The creature's bite sinks in just as Oswin feels the effects of the poison from the spear trying to take hold. Fortitude Save + Heroism: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 12 + 2 = 18 Str Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6 Oswin nearly slumps under the weight of his armor as the poison weakens him greatly. He takes a step back, drops his sword, and calls on the power of the Inheritor. "Holy Iomedae, smite these, thine enemies, with the divine light of righteousness!" Rollin':
I would like to cast Holy Smite on the nearest div. I should have been able to 5' step out of its reach (I hope).
Caster Level check vs. SR: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29 Damage v. Evil Outsiders: 10d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 3, 5, 1, 1, 6, 6, 2) = 30 DC 18 Will save for half and to avoid blinding. Save v. continuing poison: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 12 + 2 = 22 More STR damage?: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Oswin fights on gamely, using every trick he's ever learned to ward off the blow of the div for now. He calls upon the Inheritor to guide his blade. Using the Trait "A Sure Thing" to grant a +2 bonus to my first attack this round, so long as it's a swift or free action. If not, please deduct 2 from the roll. He calls out to his fellow cleric who is on his way. "My thanks Tico! These are tough customers!" Dice Rolls:

He hopes to be able to back up and rejoin his friends swiftly! "Fly you Sarenites! We need to be able to combine our efforts!" He swings at the div thrice more. Rolls:

Ok, so I didn't wan to clutter up gameplay with rules questions, but let me see if I understand the poison situation. I failed the first save, so I took the 1d6 Strength damage. I lowered my to-hit and damage accordingly. At the end of my turn I rolled to try to fight off the poison. The DC of this roll would be 25 because I failed the first and the poison is in my system? Next turn I am more than likely going to get hit by a poison attack. I need to roll against each new application, correct? And each failure makes the next application harder to fight off? So for example, next turn I get hit with 2 poison attacks. The save DC on the first owuld be 25 (23 +2)? If I fail that, the DC for the second attack would be 27? And the roll I make at the end of my turn is a against the base DC plus whatever applications I failed to save against? (so if I had failed the initial rolls, I would be at a DC of 29?)

Oswin is my only in-tier character available, and does some pretty traditional cleric things.
Hi GM Aarvid, I am applying with my cleric of Iomedae who just reached level 11. I also have a 7th level wizard available, but he would take more time to bring up to snuff. I just leveled him via a GM credit and haven't thought about new spells, feat, and so forth. Oswin does have some purchasing to do, probably upgrading several items.

Many, many thanks GM Evil for sticking with it! I know from my own experience that RL stuff can make keeping up a game very challenging. I did enjoy this one! Oswin turns to his allies and grins. "Well fought, everyone. Truly the Inheritor graced our arms this day." To Artian: "Well spoken. I don't always imbibe, but given the circumstances, I think a toast is certainly in order."
