The Prince seemed overly focused on his own preparations to answer. Ozzie had to think hard about good choices for the words.

Peeking from around the prince's leg, he answering the crimson clothed creature. "A pack, hasty joining us. Maybe gob-prowl-friends, bringing storm?" He looked up questioningly again.

Oscar giggled as he watched Kiyoshi disappear into a tree. Clearly the funny ghost was going to surprise them with tickles.

He would help!

Going to ready an action to blow some enemies towards Kiyoshi when they get close enough.
I'll control the size of the updraft towards the tree to hopefully avoid hitting most of us. I don't know how far he is, so guessing 40', 50' radius.
The Unfettered Prince gets special abilities/effects if he chooses to enter the windy area.
Noted: Ranged weapons in the windy area autofail

Readied action:
Control Weather if any enemies pass the tree.
Wind [5]: Windstorm (Blowing from all directions inwards towards the tree)
Medium creatures are checked. Checked creatures cannot move against the wind, unless they make a DC 40 Strength check. Airborne creature instead must make a DC 50 Fly check.
Small creatures are blown away. Blow away creatures must make a DC 45 Strength check or are knocked prone and roll 1d4 x 10’, and dealt 1d4 non lethal damage per 10’. Airborne creatures instead must make a DC 55 Fly check or are blown back 2d6 × 10 feet and take 2d6 points of nonlethal damage.
Normal ranged weapons passing through the area auto fail.
Siege weapons suffer a -19 to hit.
Fly checks take a -8
Sounds based Perception suffers a -8
THe Unfettered Prince:
The wind gives The Unfettered Prince cuddles instead of hindrances:
Gain 60' fly speed, average maneuverability. Does not stack with other fly speeds. Does not take penalty to fly while using this movement type.
+2 untyped bonus to ranged attack. Ranged attacks take no penalty due to wind and can pass through wind wall and similar effects.

Oscar constant watchfulness pulled his gaze towards the horizon. Those things did not seem to be trees. What else had the Prince mentioned?

Again, appearing by the tall figure, he tugged at the Prince's kilt, pointing off in the distance. " ... prowl-mates? That didn't seem right. " ... gob-prowl-friends?" Close enough.

The wooden creature's bones gave a gently hum and then a pop. Nothing seemed terribly different, but Oscar had the widest grin. Each acquiescence just split it further.

Although I'm not terribly worried about running out of spell points, each 'blessing' costs me one. So let me know how many NPCs accept one too. I'm hoping not more than 10 or 20. If there are 30+ I might run dry.

The book felt amazing. It held shapes and symbols that begged to be comprehended. You never did, but the longer you stared the more depth and definition they seemed to take on. Even the very concept of language, seemed a mystery that felt just out reach beyond those symbols, but by looking at them, maybe, just maybe, you started to understand a little bit.

Language for Oscar went well beyond talking. His increased comprehension of words almost went unnoticed at first, because they were eclipsed by epiphanies. Memories, or something very close to them, came back in waves. He remembered how to hold the book properly. Not with his hands, but having the air just balance it open. He remember many more things as the day progressed

He took to keeping it open, and walking. He'd alternated his attention between the floating symbols and then seeing if he could understand a bit more of people's conversation after a time. There were a couple times though where he did remember something particularly important.

At one point during the middle of the day, Oscar came around insistently, hands held high. "Bless??
At his stature they still barely came up to people's chests, but the oddly texture small construct seemed persistent. Eventually he'd manage to bug everyone with his repeated mono syllable questions, before settling down.

As the shadows started to stretch, one shadow happen to jump out of his own. It raced up and down him in feline grace and joy. Around the next bend, the sunlight drove back the odd creature back into whatever corner it had hid in.

Let me know who accepts/declines my blessing/mantle. There's no effect currently.

Oscar's attention was diverted by the approaching priest. It appeared to be the same person who greeted him in the square earlier, and fortunately guided him to these unique individuals.

As he watched, the priest pulled a carefully wrapped packed, wrapped in some sort of folded cloth and began unwrapping it. Beneath its layers, an ancient tome lay. Although the construct wasn't terribly familiar with them, he still knew that they carried great knowledge. This priest patiently held it out for Oscar to take.

Taking his new object of delight, he immediately opened it to the middle and was pleasantly surprised to feel the very characters pressing against his eyes. His mind felt the extremely pleasing sense of stretched skin, in ways he wanted to explore, privately and perhaps later.

Tucking behind his shoulder, he eagerly jumped forward to shake the priests hand in glee and appreciations. A thought crossed his mind, and put a finger up. Pulling on his imaginary sleeve and letting it partially disappear, he hoped he conveyed a need for some 'real' clothes, or at least a tunic. At his size, a shirt would probably cover plenty.

Based on my math, if we're up against CR 20 AC, then only your single strike has a good chance of hitting. Using that to figure your damage, you're in the orange category.
Especially if we may be three man-ing this, I will see if I can make changes to do some more damage.

EDIT: Actually, I forgot how well I made this character. Even if I can't bring the damage, I can bring enough effects to disable enemies outright. I think we should be fine, if I don't play him like a pacifist.

The elegant one walked over and said words again, that again seemed expectant of a response.

This was infuriating. The toy opened its mouth and start a vowel sound
"ahh---------". He knew that he should be able to follow that with a word, any word. Just nothing, nothing followed! He was positive, that he used to be able to speak as naturally as any of them.

Waiving his arms, and then actually jumping in sheer frustration, Oscar just could not tolerate the idea that we was possibly broken. The very air around him shimmered in waves, mirroring his frustration.

In some sort of mimicry, he stopped and took deep breaths.

Oscar nodded at the human-ish person. He was evidently explaining the wonderful mysteries of their reborn existence. Oscar was clearly going to be the linchpin to their intricate plans. As much as he understood his importance, this was getting tedious.

Waving a hand of frustration to his ears, he raised his hands together and focused. A scene of fog and colors arose between his fingers, showing a cartoonish crustacean raising a killing claw, before being mysterious fried. A vaguely animatronic toy erupted triumphant from under it. Running, it bumped into a group of humanoids in boxy metal plates, who then promptly fled. Following in their footsteps, a city of wonders arose of dazzling shapes and geometry.

The entire scene vanished a few moments later, leaving the construct visibly drained.

Clearly the two former figures were doing some important discussions, as they vocalized with care and deliberation. Oscar could almost see the imagery and ideas that the they were trying to convey. Each of the other members were so unique and distinct. He spent time examining each. After a couple minutes, he realized perhaps, clothes would be a good idea again.

A moment of focus later, he was able to conjure a billowy villager shirt with ruffles down a v-neck, to cover his corral like skin, over his small frame. The jade skinned person asked him something, he thought, by his tone. Oscar ducked beside him to interact better.

He put his hand up to his throat, coughed and made some vowel sounds.
Hopeful I'll figure out this talk-ey thing soon.

Trying to figure out how to introduce himself, he made an exaggerated smile and wave. He then pointed to himself, and made an 'O'. Expectantly, he extended an open hand towards his conversation companion.

Oscar rushed over to the responding figures. He looked up one side and down the other of the great horned figure, jumping to get a better view. Just as quickly, he slipped to give the perhaps too perfect male specimen a looking after.

His joy and curiosity, evident in his body language, if not necessarily his face, oozed from every exposed joint. The imagined clothes shifted hues several times before evaporating, as his concentration slipped.

Clearly thinking loudly wasn't working well, and vocalizing would take some work. Pantomiming, he tried to show them,
A talking mouth that choked.

It a took a paused breath before he realized who the rest of the lost were. Oscar's momentary hope that the others more closely resembled himself were dashed. All the same, they moved with purposes, forging a path.

Looking at the whoever might've been leading the way out.
"Hey, ya jackalopes. If you're headed somewhere, I'm joining. You look like you're headed for a^&$###"
A garbled blip punctuated his last word. It was at that point his own self awareness caught up, and he realized hadn't been vocalizing. Maybe more accurately, he noticed that the only lost had managed to speak, while somehow defaulted to thinking loudly.

In a panicked moment, he tried to vocalize some basic sounds. Fortunately, that worked. It just seemed like he wasn't sure how the words he was thinking were actually supposed to sound like. "How do you do the talk-ey thing?

As the priest spoke to him, Oscar became suddenly wary of those around him, darting his gaze back and forth. Welcome was rarely sincere. A brief unease washed over him, as he realized he didn't know which pieces of architecture could be hidden passages for attackers, but as he watched, nothing untoward happened. The priest 's assuring demeanor seemed to put his fellow townsmen at ease. It wasn't perfect, but they didn't seem in danger of attacking.

Slowly, the tension eased out of the wooden construct. The abrupt swing of his emotions startled even himself. He would learn more if he gave a bit of trust. He might earn some in return. Slipping his cap off, letting it fade to nothing, he stepping forward and bowed. "Greetings. I'm honored to meet you and your family. Yes, I seem to have lost my way; I'm not the only one? Can you share anything about our path? May I meet the other Lost?"

He met the priests gaze, steadily. He wondered if he seemed just as alien to the priest, as the priest in turn was to him. Maybe this world had become such a hodgepodge of mixed cultures that grey eyes with tan irises weren't as uncommon as he might guess.

The center of town it was. Between the individuals of possible import, and destination of his acquaintances, it seemed like it could be interesting. Whatever he was, wherever he came from, however much he wanted to find something familiar, this world didn’t disappoint, far as being just plain interesting. Maybe, he’d put ######### into not being so distracting this time, though.

With a small flourish, he intuitively found himself imagining a set of shirts, and boots, as roughly as he could approximate from a distance, and seeing that same set simulate over his body. As long as he focus, he could keep this up without much effort. Hmm, perhaps a simple cap as well. A small person could be excused, but his facial feature, less so.

Keeping to the same path of his forerunners, he didn’t manage to keep pace. As he approached closer, Oscar marveled at the incomprehensible architecture, and varying features all around him. Perhaps, he'd be overlooked enough to be able to find his place.

Well he remembered to do some things at least. Maybe with the others slowing him down, the speedy one wouldn't outrun him. He waited a few ticks. Enough to avoid anyone thinking it was a chase. The sky, as alien as he initially thought, wasn't altogether un-beautiful. It seemed so static, and the wrong shade, but it was growing on him.

It was mostly just trying to grasp cultural context in the absence of any. I was also trying to figure out if I could intuit where the town was, but that was a long shot.

Fear was no good. He'd have to get them past it. He'd have to move a little slower and find a peace offering of some sort. If he had supplies, he'd offer some. Hunting would be too dangerous, and with his luck, whatever he found would be poisonous.

Sighing, he resigned himself to giving the only thing he had, himself. Bracing himself, for possible attacks, he touched the frightened figure.

A bit of energy passed through with that touch, clearing the mind, and accelerating the limbs.

He approached and leaned in inspecting their equipment and ‘armor’. They might have been shy, but he certainly wasn't. Was their hooting and hollering a proper language? He wasn’t sure, and circled around them, careful not to touch.

Oscar found himself insatiably curious. Why were they here? Were they hunting or scavenging? Where did they come from? Words were slow coming, but he found himself remembering some ”Can you understand me?”
Awaiting for a response, he allowed his fingers to strum invisible strings. A few chords to distract, floated from the thin air.

Perception: 1d20 + 37 ⇒ (1) + 37 = 38
If he manages to say the words out loud, we can say it’s Elvish. Otherwise, it’s just thought.

Power surged through Oscar's body, in starts and fits, waking up each limb and joint independently. Light streamed through the broken lid of his former prison. With it’s claw still wedged into his neck, his now cooked savior, a twitching crustacean of some kind lay dying. How long had it been? There was salt water in the air. Since when were they going to visit the coast? … Where was he? Who was he? He broke out of the crate and stared up at the sky. It all looked so unfamiliar, so alien.

Looking down at his own limbs, brought no clarity either. While his own body didn’t bring the same discomfort, it also didn’t seem quite as familiar as he’d hoped. His body was made up of segmented stiff limbs broken at the joints, sandstone colored. Natural grooves and whirls followed in line with most of his body. His hands were far smoother with dozens of overlapping parts. Feeling his face, he couldn’t really tell anything special. He was humanoid, eyes, ears mouth, facial features and engravings. All normal.

He was maybe 3 %$#S tall? Was that a glitch? Trying again he estimated himself perhaps at about a meter. Looking around, he caught sight of a mess of loosely organized scrap and parts that seemed to have some activity.

Strolling without fear or hesitation, walked up to and through any activity, trying to understand.

Would you like Oscar to pop in, at town? (No rush)

Hey! It sounds like you guys are only just leaving. With a little luck, and a thumbs up, I might try to catch up. Shame that you already lost one.

Hey, here's a submission that's about 98% complete.
I love the character building and world ideas. It just takes me forever.

If you're still open, I wanted to check a few things, for the witch side of my char.
First, since we're coming into the world without wealth, does that mean wizards or witches won't be able to learn spells until after they've been present?

Would I need to pickup a new familiar?
If you use Int for AC, I assume that replaces Dex, (and is lost if you're flat footed)? Can I also replace Dex for Int for Combat Maneuver Defense?
