“Noodles! Madge got yer doodly oodly noodles! Get these crabby shrimpy noodlies in a bowl! In a cup! In yer hands! I don’t care where! Buy my dang noodles! Save Pezzack! The end is near! The end is near! Save your noodles! The devil hates my noodles! Abrogail hates my noodles! Madge’s noodles! HAHAHAHA!

While Old Madge cackles madly, her goblin assistant, Snapjack, pelts the crowd with rotten fish heads he's been carrying around all morning in a big sack.

"Here you go!"

"You see anything up there?" Aquavius notices 575 returning. "I'm getting bored. And hungry. I'll buy some noodles."

Aquavius sees if she can buy the bowl of noodles. "5 pieces of gold? I can do this." She pulls out her iron pot and grabs 5 gold.

"Coins!? What am supposed to do with those? How about you give me that mirror there and I'll give you two servings of my oodley noodles?"

575 Looks at the noodles, his stomach and mouth salivating with hunger, he looks at Madge with something akin to shock when she mentions her price.

Though they smell superb
Both mouth and belly craving.
The price is obscene.

He shakes his head in disappointment, before returning to see how his companions are fairing at their investigation of the warehouse.

"Oh, there's things might be cheaper and more obscene, but nothing's better than noodles in a silver tureen. Noodles! Noddles! Get your yummy-in-the-tummy noodles!"

The goblin carter growls at 575 as the latter approaches. Madge puts a hand on his head and calms the snarling little beast.

"Don't mind Snapjack. He's just never seen a Xulgath before. He's very protective of Old Madge he is. Travelled with me all the way from Sandpoint he has."

The goblin pulls a live toad out of his apron and begins petting it.

"Have some o' Madge's oodlie doodlie noodles to help acclimate yourself to the surface world." Madge removes the cover of the cart's cauldron releasing a cloud of steam and revealing a slimy grayish mass of fish-scented noodles.

Apparently the customer has to supply their own bowl, and utensils, because the only utensil Madge has is her dented ladle.

Have some noodles for 5gp worth of trade goods? And do you have something she can ladle them into? If you do...:
They are DELICIOUS!! And very filling.

Aquavius follows Aiden and 575 around town until she sees Old Madge. "Huh, one of these days I'd love to try out yer noodles."

"Oh you'd like Old Madge's doodly oodly noodles!" the old woman says. She describes her noodles in a way that makes mouths water and stomachs grumble. The smell from the cart doesn't hurt either.

"When Madge is open that is.... Come back to the docks in the morning, Madge is always about dawn to dusk." she says finishing abruptly.

"Say, you a necromancer from the Academy?" she asks.
Aiden grunts, but decides to roll with it. "Sure, you could say that. Why, you need bones animated? I answer one of yours and you can answer one of mine. Do you know Phelerosa Ciucci? Maybe she's visited your cart? Ciucci family is minor nobility."

"Yeah, I would never trust a necromancer." Old Madge turns to the other two 'wizards' pulls a sheaf of papers from under her overcoat and practically shoves them into their hands. "Here. Get these to Professor Poppo for critiquing. I don't normally trust serpent folk but, better that than a necromancer, I says." she says with contempt and spits on the ground. Then without further word she hikes up her skirts revealing hobnailed boots, and mismatched socks ineffectually covering ancient, stick-like shins speckled with blue veins and sparse, wiry white hairs. She turns and rushes to catch up with her 1 goblin-power cart.

The papers seem to be filled with--well, poetry(?)....

Aiden continues reading into the evening. Afterwards, however, he decides to visit Madge's noodle cart for a meal.

Aiden sees the cart from a ways away being pushed by a goblin down the road while an old, lean woman dressed in a faded dress walks slowly beside it.

Other eyes both inside and from behind cracked drapes watch as Aiden approaches the cart. It doesn't stop moving when he approaches.

He smiles as he approaches. "I've heard good things about these noodles. What's your secret, Madge?"

"I knows when to close, like I am now." the woman says wearily. "Come back tomorrow. I'm about by dawn."

She stops and looks at Aiden for a moment while the goblin rolls the cart onward muttering to itself.

"Say, you a necromancer from the Academy?" she asks.
