"I have no questions, High Lord. I shall be guided by the Tanya's wisdom in seeking those relics. In this task, she should be our leader and I shall give any and every assistance she needs. We should be as one pride in this. The honor demands nothing less. I shall talk to my cub here. The task before us is dangerous, but I have no one to left him with. He should be a part of an effort to fight this new enemy, common to Tabaxy and Gnoll alike. It is his right."

Num-Rah doesn't take his eyes off the warrior who sneered at the pup, but nonetheless he replies to the Tanya. "The honor lies not in strength, but in knowledge when to apply that strength and against what... or whom. Strength by itself is no more than a tool; strength without honor is a danger, both to itself and to others. Blade is wielded by strength, but it must be guided by honor, and honor must be supported by discipline. Such is the way of our caste. But some tend to forget that. If they insist in flaunting their forgetfulness, they will be reminded." He finally takes his eyes off Galsah and turns to her. "I hope that is answer enough for you, Tanya. I am a warrior, not a wordsmith. May I have the honor of your name?", he asks.

The pup is male. I'll create a profile for him as soon as you post the rules for Gnolls/Flinds. I have ToH Complete, if you want to use info from there. Reaching with his clawed hand to pat the pup on the head, Num-Rah looks at the arrivals and then bows his head with respect at the female. "Greetings. I am Num-Rah."

Corerue, to repeat my questions: I plan to take Weapon Bond later on, so I have several questions about the weapon, especially since I have 2k extra gold to spend. 1) Is it reasonable to add +1 modifier for 2k gold I have left and can I then spend extra 2k to give it Bane property against Undead? My presumption is that the Elves were destroyed in a war against Cryx or some other Undead force, and my blade is supposed to be Elven relic. 2) I would like to continue to improve the blade by giving it intelligence at some later date. Is this possible? 3) What do I know of Gnolls and Flinds? I would like to both create my adopted pup and roleplay my relationship with it, but it would help me to formulate my response to the Big Cat.

"The Flind are without honor - true. And they despise us with every fiber of their being. Them and their Demon Goddess. That is all true. But they are far from being stupid and they value strength above all. I would go and challenge their champion to a single combat, to prove myself. I would take the pup I rescued as proof of my intentions. They must be hurting more than us, since they don't have the legacy of High Ones to guide them and protect them. They should welcome this alliance. Of course, we should guard against their treachery, which will surely come - but for now, the honor demands we should at least try to unite the living against the dead."

Num-Rah silently stands and waits for the others to leave. This will be his first time alone with the leader of his caste. Never before was he so honored and his heart beats just a bit faster. The young warrior meets the golden stare with his own ice-blue eyes. "Greetings, Tyil Kel'der'druinidin. I stand before you as a survivor of the fight against the Dark Ones. They can be killed, or killed again - since it seems that they are dead already. But this demands new way of thinking. New approach to fighting. And allies. We can not do this alone. Some would call it dishonorable, but methinks that we must seek allies amongst the nomads, and even amongst the Gnolls. They have been our enemy since the time of High Ones, true. But now, we stand against the raising tide of night, that will swallow Gnoll and Tabaxi alike, city-dwellers and nomads. We must stand together or fall separately. Those are my words, and if you find them dishonorable, I will gladly pay for them with my life. But by my words I am bound."

Aware of his youth and inexperience, Num-Rah stands at the back, watching Kel'der'druinidin and waiting for his reaction. Mighty muscles dance beneath his white pelt while he waits for the decision of his elders. Truly, he has seen the devastation with his own eyes. What is to be done? For a moment, his thoughts wander to the wild cub of his people's ancestral enemy that he rescued. Perhaps the answer lies in unity against the common enemy? What is the honorable way? His inner self remains silent. He sighs and then returns his gaze to Kel'der'druinidin. The old warrior has something in mind, but what?

I thought to be 21 years old at the start of the game. Num-Rah is still young and his honor is not stained or strained by many years and hard choices. Perhaps he is a bit naive and does not realize the full price that the honor demands. I also had in mind a young template for the Gnoll. I would make him a part of the game, but in non-essential way, such as "Pup, go get me a drink of water!" or something like that. And when I reach high enough level to take Leadership, he would become mature follower, with distinct personality. Until that moment, I planned to play him as half-feral child, essentially.

Yeah, that's another thing I wanted to ask GM about: What are the chances of improving our starting items? Num-Rah's equipment consists mostly of ancient relics of the High Ones. He would not throw it away just because he found something better. If possible, I would prefer to enchant it further, perhaps with ioun stones or something. Or if there are a Artificer-like NPCs, that would be great. We could turn our loot into enchantments. Edit: GM, what are your thoughts about my Gnoll follower? Right now, he is a pup, but when he matures, I plan to take Leadership and take him as cohort. Is that OK? If it is, can you post your rules for Gnoll characters?
Valegrim, here are the barest bones of my character. I am really sorry for not finishing everything already, but my RL obligations are mounting with enormous speed. I will finish everything today, though. I have some questions, though: 1) How much money do I have to spend on equipment?
4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6, 2) = 15
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 6) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 4, 3) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5, 4) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3, 3) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 5, 3) = 15
OK, so it's: 15, 11, 19, 16, 21, 15 Num-Rah is a 6'8'' tall and 190 lbs heavy Whitemane Litorian. His broad back is straight as a spear and he carries
Num-Rah was born in the mountains on the edge of the savanna (I'm thinking Kilimanjaro), as a son to the priest-king of the ancient city of Opar. The city holds thousands of catfolk, with pelts of different colors, but the highest of them all are whitemanes, born to defend, to rule and to bring justice. Their strength is tempered by justice and their justice is tempered by mercy - but their wrath is terrible thing to behold. Whitemanes are mostly paladins and sorcerers, since they lack the Constitution of their cousins, but are gifted with great Charisma (Changes to Litorian: +2 Str, +2 Dex, +2 Cha instead of Con; favorite classes Paladin and Sorcerer). One of their sacred duty is to make blades for
Okay, so this is my tentative proposal. I've envisioned him as a Pathfinder paladin, but I can build him with 3.5 classes. Now, what are your rules for Litorians/Catfolk?
I love your setting. I have a character that I think would be excellent fit for this game, and I would really love to play him, but I have envisioned him as Paladin, so I don't know if that is enough healing power for your party. Also, I would like to play a Traul, since my character is perhaps more Lawful that Good and I do love that "honor-bound Klingon" vibe they have, but I'm afraid that -2 to Charisma would be pretty stiff penalty for a Paladin. You've written Trauls as very adaptable race. Is there any chance of mutation among them? My character was albino Litorian in Ptolus game, with -2 to Con and +2 to Cha. Is something like that possible? I am posting as that character right now (I've used him in another game as Crusader), but I am more than prepared to adapt him to your world.
