Fetchlings are only playable in PFS with a race boon. I think these were only awarded for the high tier of the Grand Convocation at PaizoCon in 2012, so they're pretty rare. Also, those are some pretty hardcore dump stats. You'll probably find that your carrying capacity will be hard to deal with, and your will saves will make you very vulnerable to enemy spellcasters. Your high charisma will help with some social skills, but you're treading the line of "one trick pony", which can make some scenarios difficult (or boring).

That's the way that I read it. Also notice that one of the boons The Spells Know All Secrets on the Student of Spells chronicle applies to all of one's Society characters.
Marc Reynolds wrote: I was really hoping they'd do a pre-registration for this. I found it very disorganized last year. If they did do a pre-reg then they could figure out how many tables of different tiers. This would also help the GMs be prepared for the tier they are running. I know there will always be last minute changes, but pre-planning would help alleviate some of the scramble at the event.
Also useful in the Golarion porn industry: Allnight:
This treated wafer dissolves into a chalky paste when placed under the tongue and then gives the imbiber a jolt of restless energy. It eliminates the effects of fatigue for the next 8 hours; when the drug’s effect ends, the user is exhausted. Allnight makes its users jittery and unable to focus; they suffer a –2 penalty on all skill checks until its effects wear off. and Stolen Light: School illusion (figment); Level bard 3, sorcerer/wizard 3
CASTING
EFFECT
DESCRIPTION: Kreighton Shaine researched this spell from the fragmentary notes of a Vudrani ascetic recorded in a strange tome, and rumors credit him with no fewer than a dozen permanent stolen light gems hidden in compartments and drawers in his study. Stolen light stores images within a gem. To store an image, as part of casting you must touch a gem worth not less than 500 gp. You trap within the gem an image of everything visible within a 30-foot cone measured from the gem, in a direction of your choice. Alternatively, you can capture a less detailed image of a single object within sight. Once the casting is complete, the gem turns opaque, and the image inside cannot be seen. The stolen image remains within the gem until released or dispelled. To release an image, you touch a gem holding stolen light as a standard action and speak a command word chosen at the time of casting. For 1 minute per caster level, the image stored within the gem becomes visible. Details can be made out as clearly as they could be perceived at the time of casting. Darkvision is of no use for making out details in a stolen image, though low-light vision or other exceptional visual talents may reveal information the caster did not see. Light sources brighter than bright light are reduced to bright light in the stolen image. Once the image has been released, it cannot again be recovered from the gem.
I have a few of these already, and yes, the bases are the same standard size. The only difference is that there are 4 little notches in the edge of the base (almost like a round piece of Lego). I really hope Paizo brings in the rest of the minis from this company - they have familiars and commoners, which are always hard to find.
I'm playing in this AP and having a blast. We're probably a bit more than half–way through the first book. I can see where it could drag a bit, but we have a great group and an awesome GM. There's lots of inter–party roleplay, even in the middle of a dungeon. Like so many things, there are a lot of variables that can make or break a campaign. I'm just glad the stars aligned for our group this time.

And even better, you can now add anything from any website to your Amazon wish list, so you can have all your gift suggestions in one place. Also, those Artisan Dice are amazing!
Jim Groves wrote: Sigh.. It breaks my heart that I can't afford more Paizo stuff. I think you just need to write more scenarios and ask to be paid in minis! Actually, I just want more Jim Groves adventures - perhaps one that has a large water elemental in it so I can use this mini! To keep this on topic, I'll agree with everyone above and say that I also love both of these minis. I'm glad the large is big enough that it could stand in for a huge water elemental; as far as I know, no one has made one of those yet.
Salazar wrote: Any chance of having individual boxes for sale for previous map packs? That is one item I have had a problem finding a good storage solution for. Try your local office supply store. I found plastic boxes for 8x5" index cards that work very well for the map packs. You can even get appropriately sized blank index dividers with a tab to write the name of the map pack on it.
If you're looking for a shorter adventure, you might want to try a Pathfinder Society scenario. These are designed to be run in 4-5 hours and many have a good combination of role playing & combat. For a home game, you will probably want to do a bit of editing (like taking out the faction missions). Scenarios only cost $3.99 each, and can be purchased here.

These are both very nice minis. I especially like the way the kobold looks like it is using it's tail for balance, similar to the velociraptors in Jurassic Park. I'm also intrigued by the redcap; it has a very menacing pose. It looks like these minis both have smaller bases that are glued to the actual small sized base. If it's easy to separate the two bases, the redcap could easily fill in for any number of tiny fey baddies, especially if you modified the weapon a bit. I can't wait for this set!
Delay poison can also give you a chance to have lesser restoration cast upon yourself. Since it has a three round casting time, you could die from CON damage (for instance) before you get the cure. This is still a bit of a desperation measure, and somewhat circumstantial, but it could still save you sometimes.
Terquem, I understand where you're coming from. There is an awful lot of information flying around these forums, and there's no way that anyone could possibly read all of it. If you want to find a group of like-minded people to game with, I would suggest looking up your local Pathfinder Society group. Organized play might not be what everyone is looking for in the long-term, but it's a great place to play with a variety of people with different play styles. Once you find some people you enjoy playing with, either start or join a home campaign with them. edit: Ninja'd by Marthian
Another related idea that some friends and I were discussing tonight is having cards that detail the types/subtypes of creatures. Then, when you're using the bestiary (or iPad, or whatever) for a monster, you can have the card handy with all the abilities and weaknesses that you would otherwise have to flip to the back of the book to find. I also really like the monster ID cards though.

They do show up elsewhere too! The saving grace with a leech swarm is that it only moves 5', so they're easy to run away from. PFS scenario story: I'll try to avoid spoilers here by not mentioning the name of the scenario. The group was sailing a ship down a river. At one point, they are attacked by a giant leech and a leech swarm. The big one was easy to dispatch - only lasted one round. The swarm on the other hand was a nightmare. The only splash weapon the party had was a single flask of acid, which doesn't do much. The only spell they had that would affect the swarm was acid splash, and the swarm has a touch AC of 18, so it took quite a while to whittle it down. During the fight, most of the party retreated to the aft deck to use ranged attacks. Except for the gunslinger, who was bravely cowering in the cabin. The character driving the boat failed his check, and the boat hit a rock. This sent the three people on the deck directly into the swarm. I couldn't have planned it better myself. By the end of the fight, everyone in the group had taken some kind of ability damage (except the aforementioned gunslinger). The cleric was down to 4 CON, 1 STR, and 4 DEX. That whole group is terrified of entering the water now!

I missed that - that makes these guys even more of a terror!
I second Wolf Munroe's suggestion of We Be Goblins! It's a very entertaining adventure where the players play goblins. I think kids would really enjoy the roleplaying during the games at the beginning. I would also steer away from Carnival of Tears. It's very dark and gruesome, especially if the group has made friends in Darkmoon Vale. My eight-year-old daughter has played a bit of free-form adventure with me, and also 2 Pathfinder Society scenarios. She has a blast playing, especially when she gets to play with the "big kids" (Daddy's friends). She does think there is too much "talking" during the scenarios though. She wants to get to the action! On a related topic, you might find this thread interesting.
One of our local Pathfinder Society group got one of the boons that allowed him to play a Tengu. The name he came up with was Kumagin. When an NPC asks what his name is, he invariably says, He introduces himself as "Tengu, Kumagin", with an accent like Apu on the Simpsons. This is the same player that once had a character with a mule. The mule's name was Donkey Hotey. I have a reputation for being a punster, but even I find it hard to maintain immersion if a character's name is a joke.
My new favourite "tough" monster has to be a leech swarm. I've had these thrown at my group several times in Pathfinder Society scenarios in the last month, and they are tough! At CR 4, they have auto-hit 2d6 damage, plus 1d3 STR & CON damage, plus poison for 1d4 DEX damage, plus distraction. The only thing that makes them manageable is that they only move 5'.
oneplus999 wrote: ...you can take a 5' step at any point in the middle of the attack. Also, since there is no facing, these attacks can be against creatures in any direction from you. This can make feats like Great Cleave very interesting. Take the following example: ABCD
If the character with Great Cleave is the #, then he could (assuming he keeps hitting), start at C, B, A, E, G, H, I, <5' step>, J, F, D. This gets even more ridiculous if he has reach. oneplus999 wrote: Lastly, you get to decide this after the previous attack is resolved, so you can fire an arrow 100' in one direction, notice that you knocked that guy out, then decide to fire 100' in the opposite direction at a different enemy.
It would be cool to see more low-level items. Super Genius Games has tonnes of great ideas in their Loot for Less line, but it would be nice to have that type of thing integrated to official rules. Then we could use it in Pathfinder Society Play!
Jeremy Mcgillan wrote: I know this idea may get shot down, but..... what about commoner minis like farmers, blacksmiths, shopkeepers, tavern/innkeeper, waitress, laborers, scholars, sages, aristocrats, town guards, etc. I think those would be insanely useful. Personally, I would love to have some more commoner-type minis. It gets a bit boring having the whole tavern full of farmers & drunken brawlers. Sometimes its nice to set up a battle in a bar (or village square, or wherever) without having the players know right off the start who the enemy is. It would also be cool to see a few noble figures. Something that says "I'm the king" but isn't dressed in full plate carrying a sword.

Does that mean that you could put the returning enhancement on a specific arrow? If so, you could create one "uber arrow" that you could fire once per round. Of course, it would still probably be better to enchant the bow, but the returning arrow could be fun!

There must be something about kids rolling up characters. When I rolled up my last character, I had one 10, and all the rest were below 8. The DM let me re-roll (thankfully!), and I let my 6 year old roll for me. She got 17, 16, 16, 15, 15, 15. My rule is that she's rolling all my characters from now on!
