Choe Chung-hu - whose stockpiles have grown large due to the party's recent efforts! - lays charms to banish the Lord of Envy's attentions. He seeks the party himself - everyone who is yet present - and asks "Is it true? Did you guys talk old Granny Hu into sharing grain with us 'dirty' Southbankers?" and laughs heartily in good spirits!
None other than Zheng Peng makes an appearance at the "GHOSTS... OR ANCESTORS" activity - and failing despite trying to avoid Lan, ends up in a conversation with him, Auntie Wu, and Sigurd.
Mother Otis sits next to Lan as he recites his poem. Moved beyond words, she weeps, and is silent for a long time. Until "You remind me of a young Shou " she smiles "He was a frequent patron in his day, and how he used to woo the ladies, one and all..." she turns to him, grabs his hands "So soft. You have a pure heart. That is why you save Willowshore. What is left of it. Please. Come by any time. Whatever you need that I can provide"
Huo Tian-Zhe had been handing out tiny toys that he made when he bumps into Sigurd and Kazuki. One of the little clockworks grabs one of the rangers berry beaskets and drops it ”Still a prototype. Little clumsy.” he explains ”I have admired your work from afar. Please stop by my shop any time”
Kim Gu-won passes by Sigurd with a polite nod and comes over to Vekka. He compliments him on his lantern. Looks this way, that way, coast is clear "We all get out sometimes you know. You negotiate well. I negotiate so that I may be here too" his excuse is matter-of-factly spoken. He spends the next several moments, with his average quality lantern, in awkward silence "I can help out if you come by. Within my means, of course"
Kum Soon-chong comes over to Vekka. He listens intently as he recounts of the mountain tengu, sipping his special tea. Afterwards, he shares his own story - about how his teenage son discovered a wounded bird, and nursed it back to health in a few weeks time without telling him. And how he believes the bird still visits him every winter to make a nest in the roof of the stables.
Yun Mong-Un comes over to Kazuki. ”Having a little trouble there with that bundle?” she chides him - the moment is short, and just before she intercedes to help, he rights his knife ”Spoke too soon…” a woodcarver by trade, she handedly makes her own skill known, freeing herself and a few others. After the competition, she shares ”I know you spend your time in the woods helping us to prepare for winter. Let me help you out too. We gotta pull together, right?” offering a discount to him (and the party) at her own wood shop at Mercantile Street.

The older kid softens, and the other three children gather around Vekka "Can you take us back to Granny Hu?" they ask, grabbing their backpacks and getting ready to move!
The "Bamboo Boys", in addition to being Helpful w/ Kolphan, Lan, and Vekka, and Friendly w/ Auntie Wu, and Indifferent w/ Sato, will now act in service to the Party, and will perform one Minor Favor for Lan ("the face") and one Minor Favor for Vekka ("the bird"), per their requests!
"Who?" it appears our most honorable constable didn't know, or simply didn't remember, Hai-Er Ha... Zheng Peng nods to Sigurd Kolphan "I'm glad your ragtag gang has a leader with a good head on his shoulders. I will be taking my leave now, reporting to Granny Hu. Your deed will not go unremembered. If you need anything, the imperial guard can protect you" his men finish cleaning out the armory, and head out the back door.

♥️ Dr. Damihansig Mababangloob (friendly) @ The Hand of Spring (W19) It's obvious why Dami is here - man hasn't slept a wink. Somehow he remains soft of face and expression, for indeed, his passion truly is to care for others. Too, opinions seem to be turning about his use of unorthodox methods mixed with traditional methods of medicine. To a man of geater ego, perhaps, this would be vindication. Instead, he doubles down working humbly, seeming to derive simple joy in being of use in this time of need.

Kazuki Sato: ♥️ Kum Soon-chong (friendly) @ Willowshore Stables (W2) What is he doing on the North side of the River!?! Whatever his purpose, or perhaps circumstance, he looks tired and frustrated, maybe even a little out of his depths, for indeed, what can soothe a horse does not always translate to what can soothe a human, tengu, or halfling. One wonders where his son is - he doesn't seem to have made it to the camp!

Besides, with that monster guarding the (Dawnstep) Bridge, making contact is a fool's errand" Sense Motive (DC 15): When Kim Gu-won says "We" (italicized) he means to exclude himself - inferring that he is accepting Granny Hu's plan even if he disagrees with it, deferring to her leadership...
"You follow around that famous Inventor, right?" Gu-won seems to recognize Lan "And, yeah, you got selected for the Re-enactment Festival to be 'kidnapped'?" consulting his memory, the automatics of his response fade, and he lightens towards the party "I'm afraid we haven't soldiers to spare, but, until we have Granny Hu's plan..." he gestures towards the woman who is meticulously arranging the "Eight Paces" pieces "...all we can do is wait here and help people to be safe" Politely ducking Vekka's question...

No no. Unless you have the Close Ties background, choose one "friendly" and one "unfriendly" NPC. Do you want the father or the son? For those having difficulty choosing final NPCs, I have numbered them in this alias's profile #1-#25, so here are some casual RNG suggestions to get ball rolling!These are not meant to be specifically positive or negative? In addition to starting with a single Friendly relationship, when you get a chance, see if you can choose a single Unfriendly relationship with one of the NPCs in town. Bonus points if you have a reason "why" this person and you are on Unfriendly terms - I will come up with something if you get writer's block. Otherwise, assume you begin the adventure on Indifferent terms with everyone else. Cheers!
@ Auntie Wu / Sigurd You two both directly or indirectly describe ties to Elizeth Candora @ Lady of Souls (W10). I'm in the process of "assigning" one NPC to each character to start with a Friendly relationship with - I'd ideally like to spread this out a bit - who would like to "claim" this NPC, and who would like to "claim" someone else?
