Shadow Lodge

In a sickly display of flexibility, the "Doctor" arches her back, dodging Seara's blade. And springing back upright, she 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24 plunges the dripping syringe into Narcizia's neck!

[laughing hysterically]Haha! Haaha!!![/laughing hysterically]

Narcizia feels the cold liquid flow into her veins!!

Tyrithe's arrow sinks into her skinny body and she shouts in anger and pain. You will PAY for that little crazy person! Her teeth appear to grow longer and sharper as she snarls at you.

Shadow Lodge

Come here, patients. Time for your MEDICINE! Doctor Ilesi snarls as she squeezes a tiny drop from the tip of the glowing syringe...

Shadow Lodge

//Flash To Dr. Ilesi's Office//
...because upstairs in her office Doctor Ilesi realizes she's been duped when she can't find her keys. Screaming in rage, she begins descending the asylum stair cases again toward you. BASTARD Crazy People! This is the last straw. I shall punish you, PUNISH you!!!

Shadow Lodge

Okay I figured out what happens! Let's see if she's smart enough to realize what you guys are up to... DC14
Pass => she realizes you must have taken the keys!
Fail => she figures she must have left them upstairs in her office

Dr. Ilesi Int Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

Drat! Dratty drat drat! Dr. Ilesi's face, for a split second, contorts into a terrible supernatural countenance of evil. She wheels around in her frustration, and scalpel slices the unconscious man's neck ear to ear. He dies gurgling. Then she places the scalpel down on the tray and turns to you. Wiping her greasy black hair with a bloody hand, she smiles ever so sweetly:
Okay, dearies, I just left my keys up stairs. I'll be right back, then we can all go to the potty.
She leaves through the pop-riveted metal door to the east, which shuts behind her with a bang.

You are alone.

Shadow Lodge

Hahaha! sense motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Dr. Ilesi huffs and slams the scalpel down on the tin try. Fine! I'll take you to the water closet! She turns toward you, then reaches for her belt for the keys to unlock the cell.

She shrieks when she realizes the keys are gone! Eeeeek! Where are my keys??

Shadow Lodge

@Narcizia *groan and huff* You have to go NOW? Can't it wait!? She continues cutting on the poor soul, who has presently gone unconscious.

Shadow Lodge

@Volreg Oh darling, this really should wait until our next therapy session. But I'll tell you again: you were committed here by one of our biggest patrons! So don't worry. You will recieve my upmost attention and medical care. She blows Volreg a kiss.

Ha! Combat is coming as soon as Tryithe opens the door. Map Updated.

Shadow Lodge

@Ungebrochen Darling, you've been saying that ever since you arrived here at Briarstone Asylum. Don't worry. Ms Pennyworth will have more jello for you this afternoon...

Shadow Lodge

@Volco Ah, curarin! *slaps forehead* What a marvelous idea!

Shadow Lodge

Seara Intimidate check? Must beat...let's see...DC16. Pass!
@Seara Torture? Oh no no my dear, I'm helping him. I'm a doctor, after all, and he is an asylum patient. Just like you. But don't worry my dear, your appointment is next. She turns and continues her work, with the cutting and the screaming and the hey-hey.

Shadow Lodge

Doctor Ilesi: Interesting. On a scale of 1 to 10, how bad was that pain? Come now, don't be reserved. It's for science.
Ladies and Gents, meet Doctor Ilesi Scaen...

Shadow Lodge

I will play a hyrule campaign!

You arn't getting many responses because it's Christmas. Good news for me: i'm an early poster in your recruitment!

Are you new to pbp RonetheSlayer? Or just new to Paizo pbp?

Shadow Lodge

Katyana takes the full force of Vampiric Touch...

Ack!

Katyan flaps a few feet away from "Sandin." I know you are not my sister! And since you will not release her I shall weaken you until you BEG me to allow you to leave her body!

Energy Drain Close Touch: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (17) + 21 = 38 causing 2d4 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4 neg levels for 16 hours! Slight rule adjustment. If you stay in Zvetlana's body you will make the DC22 save tomorrow to see if they become permenant. BUT (and here is the rule adjustment) because negative levels suck so much, you can have these levels back if you leave Zvetlana's body. IF she survives then SHE will make the save tomorrow since the spell was cast on HER.

Last chance to return my sister unto me!

    Shadow Lodge

Katyana the Succubus changes her tone and speaks sweetly: Come now, darlinks, release my sisters. Pleasures await you if you are obedient!

    Shadow Lodge

    sense motive: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (12) + 16 = 28
    Damn...he's on to me!

    Shadow Lodge

It's at this point you hear the screaming succubus riding the Shantak. She's zipping in at 60ft alt, 120ft/round. MAP UPDATED. She's p*ssed that you've posessed and charmed her sisters. There is a lightening bow in her hands and she means to use it.

Kill them Ovagrius! Make Mistress Izmiara proud! Avenge my sisters!!! Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
haha, half naked succubus on a dragon flying on the moon. Fun times. If nobb and vidar don't show up soon we will move on.

    ----------------------

  • Shadow Lodge

I will do as you command, Sister, but what of Zvetlana? Do we abandon her to these foes?

Katyana teleports, placing herself just millimeters from the portal. Gabi has one final swipe (AoO) before the succubus disappears through the portal's watery sheen and is gone.

    Shadow Lodge

Katyana and Nadezdha blink in amazement!

Katyana: Sister, what bewitchery has overcome you!?

    Shadow Lodge

Katyana casts lunar entangle centered on Nobb. MAP UPDATED. As per the spell entangle, but DC is 24. Difficult terain within the black circle...unless you are a succubus and can fly. The area is considered to have thorns.

The plants in the cracks of the stone at your feet grow suddenly. But their color changes to a deep purple with wicked thorns. Where seeds and flowers normally sprout are tiny snapping venus-fly-trap like heads with googly eyes!

Come my pets, feast upon the calf flesh of my lovers!

The mouths snap and snip at your ankles.

    Shadow Lodge

Pay no attention to my sister Says Zvetlana, She's always been a bit odd. But there are some who desire the temptations that only she can give!

    Shadow Lodge

Sisters, I do believe that tall man intends to murder us!

    Shadow Lodge

Darlings! coos one as she sees Griff approach, Do join us! We were just having a bit of mid day refeshment. Came, rest in our embrace!

The other succubi sigh and run their hands along their supple bodies.

    Shadow Lodge

So a human male can copulate with a gnomish female? Fascinating...
    Turning to the professor.
Tell you what, I will give you the secret of the transformation syrum. But you must give me something in return...

    Shadow Lodge

Inefficient?? I'll have you know, sir, that my research of of the upmost scientific integraty. Do YOU know whether a Golarionite male maintains his mojo while in Castrovelian Jungle-Ape form? Hrumph!

She bats at Great Mastiff's head.

Now get this thing off me! Wha...My syringe! You tramp!

    Shadow Lodge

    Lisa is free.
    perc: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
And the vixen does not see it.

Then she gets bull rushed by Grey.

    .............Hey! What the...

She drops the syringe on the floor.

    Shadow Lodge

Woah big fella! I Must have left the strap unlatched! She straps Victor-Ape back down. Bad idea...Guess I better get you back to your old self. She injects him with another syringe that brings Victor back to his normal form.

Sorry girl she says to the other ape-creature, No man-banannas for you I guess.

The "doctor" goes on about her business whistling a pretty tune.

    Shadow Lodge

    Victor:
Interesting. Copper taste probably due to excessive honesty in your heart. Itchy feet might indicate as sort of gruff gentleman-ness. Possibly even 'noir'. Let's see what happens when we put you with the other one. The vixen rolls the table to which Victor is affixed into the cage with the other ape.

    Shadow Lodge

    @Grey:strumpet know(arcana) check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 Do I know what an Eidolon is with that roll?
@lisa: Breaking bonds is a DC25 strength check. I'll give you +2 for the spikes idea.

...the vixen retracts the needle and adjusts her glassed. That's right, this one wear's glasses. Victor experiences horrible shooting convulsions, and his body painfully morphs into the form of an Castrovelian jungle ape similar to the one in the corner of the room. Baleful Polymorph. You get a Fort save to avoid the transformation, and a will save to basically avoid losing your mind. However, you will always be able to talk regardless of the save results. See spell. DC22.

Interesting. says the scientist Doxy-Vixen. Ha, am i allowed to hyphonate those terms? Sir, how do you feel?

    Shadow Lodge

lol. strumpet? I'm am adding that one to my list of vixen-words.

    perception on Grey: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 < DC26
Hm, interesting response, little boy. Please, continue to tell me your thoughts. How do you feel when I do this to your friend? She injects Victor with the glowing green liquid from the syringe...

    Shadow Lodge

The "doctor" turns her back to you and flicks the side of a giant syringe, preparing it. Oh, no, I'm sorry dear. It is highly doubtful that you will ever see Golarion again. Castrovel is your new home.

    Shadow Lodge

The party is alone in this room, no other "experimentees." Professor Qs potions have worn off long ago and you are all in your natural forms. You hear a voice, speaking Golarionite Common with a heavy Castrovelian accent. That would be German, or French.

Vwell, zis is a surprise...you are all avwake! Welcome to my humble laboratory. This means we can begin the experiments that require you to be concious!

A pigtailed Lashunta red-head appears out of the shadows.

Can you understand me? Is my Golarionite clear? All Saucer Fleet personnel are required to learn it before the invasion. I sink I vwill practice on you. Are you thirsty? Hungry? Can I get you anything?

    Shadow Lodge

I've no idea how you get rid of THAT she points to your skin. As for getting back, I believe I gave Mr. Gilderoy something a few minutes ago. A moonbow potion. It will solidify any such moonbow allowing one to walk upon it to reach the place I described to him. That place is called 'Io', for what it is worth, and it happens to be on this material plane. I suppose if you can find a moonbow in the plane of air, I see no reason why it wouldn't take you to Io back here in our plane. Fyuria rolls her eyes back again as if listening to something. She moans as if in pain. mmmmm there isn't much time...you must decide now!

    Shadow Lodge

It wasn't I, sir Talon, it was the deck. I promise you this deck is one of the most powerful things you will ever see in your miserable life. I cannot change what was done. As for Gilderoy, he drew the Cyclone. He has gone to the plane of air. I cannot bring him back, for there are conditions of the card that remain to be met by him.

Fyuria looks down. She is not evil, and indeed she is genuinly concerned.

But I can transport you to the plane after him. The doorway remains open, usually for about a minute 6 rounds?. I can send you there if you wish.

    She looks to Rasgraton.

And you also, Rock Man, if it is your desire.

    Shadow Lodge

Fyuria stands up laughing. You drew from the deck, are you CRAZY? No one draws from the deck! Now you will pay for your foolishness! Hahaha
Fyuria tunrs to Rasgraton. And you Rock Man, are you still Curious? Intrigued? Still want your turn with the Deck of Many Things???

    Shadow Lodge

haha, lose them. funny. Gur was right, this deck is evil. And poor gilderoy still has 1 to draw, and Ras has 3...I'll let you guys out of it if you want...maybe face the DECK another day?

The little girl in Gilderoys card LOOKS at you! She smiles. The demons start to dance, swirl, they all meld together into a whirling tornado.

A false draw...I've never seen one before. This is strange...Gilderoy, yours is THE CYCLONE

The girl in Talon's card also changes...black marks begin to appear on her body. Her hands come up to her cheeks and she howls in a scream. The demons surround her, reaching for her.

THE SICKNESS. Bad draw, my friends, I am so sorry...

    sickness:
The character becomes afflicted with incurable leprosy. While the disease cannot be cured by any effect short of a miracle or wish spell, the effects of the affliction can be negated through the use of spells like restoration.

    the cyclone:
An elder air elemental appears, and the character must fight it alone. If the character cannot defeat the elemental in 1d6+1 rounds, he is transported to the Plane of Air.

    Shadow Lodge

Wait says Fyuria, Wait... what is this I see??
You look at the LOST cards again. Something is changing in them.

    Shadow Lodge

    Gilderoy and Talon.

Fyuria looks with astonishment as the two of you pull the same card from the deck...

How is this possible? The deck only contains 1 of each card?? She looks confused. The card depicts a child surrounded by demons, wondering where she is.

    Oh no...THE LOST

The Lost 9 of Spades CE The character cannot gain another level in whichever class he currently has the most levels. This effect can be circumvented if the character is killed and returned to life, but the next time he is restored to life he is affected as if by the spell reincarnate, regardless of what spell was cast. A wish spell will also negate the effects...if you can find a being capable of granting it.

    Shadow Lodge

Furia explains the nature and function of the Deck of Many things. As you've seen each card bears a dreamlike or unsettling image upon it, and every card is marked by one of six suits: crowns, hammers, keys, shields, stars, or tomes. A Harrow Deck of Many Things is usually found wrapped in cloth or velvet and hidden away within a simple wooden case, but nothing marks it as being anything other than an oft-used and treasured focus of the fortune-telling art. As soon as one of the deck's cards is drawn at random, though, its nature becomes apparent and an effect determined by the chosen card is bestowed upon the user—often to life-altering effect. A bearer of a Harrow Deck of Many Things who wishes to draw a card must announce how many cards he will draw before doing so. These cards must be drawn within 1 hour of each other, and a character can never draw any more cards from the deck than he announced (unless the effect of a drawn card states otherwise). If the character does not willingly draw his allotted number or is somehow prevented from doing so, the cards flip out of the deck on their own after 1 hour. Future attempts to draw cards from the deck made by someone who has already drawn his allotted number reveal only blank cards. Each time a card is taken from the deck, it is replaced, making it possible to draw the same card twice.

Furia smiles at you. I warn you, Gentleman, this deck is extremely powerful. Were it not for the Aura's i've sensed coming from you I never would have spoken with you about them. But if you wish, I will allow you to draw from my Deck of Many Things...

    Shadow Lodge

Indeed, darling, very very few people have. Would you like me to tell you how they work?

    throne:
A LAWFUL feeling comes from this card. You might have guessed that without knowing much about magic. Unless born into it, doesn't wealth and power usually come at a terrible price?

    survivor:
Another powerfully Neutral card. You feel hungry, famished. You have a short vision of your own emaciated form out in the wilderness. But you do not die. You pant as your vision fades.

    Shadow Lodge

    the crow:
A card of powerfully NEUTRAL alignment. Evocation aura. What was that?? Did that crow just fluff it's winds? You blink and look again, the card is just a normal card. You feel that drawing this card will ask you to make a decision, though whether this would be good or bad for you, can cannot say...

There is in item on the other side of the moonbow. I can't get it myself for complicated reasons pertaining to the laws of magic, you understand. You will know what the item is when you see it, it will be unmistakable. Will you do this for me?

    Shadow Lodge

Greetings Master Dwarf. My name is Furia. Your friends and I have been talking. Please come have a seat.

Low and behold, another wooden chair comes sliding in, ruffling the curtain as it passes through.

    Shadow Lodge

    detect magic:
You experience an overwhelming aura of transmutation coming from the cards themselves. Something about Furia, perhaps her jewelry? Also emits strong Divination auras, though nothing as string as the cards themselves.

    spellcraft:
You are able to detect the properties of any individual card in the deck of many things by inspection see Ras' spoiler on the fanned deck and tell me which one you look at...but DON'T draw it from the deck. Unless you want to, mwaha.

    religion:
    you sense nothing

Furia reaches out to you. Give me your palm. I shall see what we can see...

Furia's eyes roll back again and her head sways from side to side. I see a man with Green eyes. His face is pale. He wears a fine suit. I see a moonbow. I see... She trails off. Her eyes come back and she looks at you. You will find an answer very soon, Gilderoy did I tell her my name?? You must follow the moonbow. You must walk over it.

Furia reaches into the folds of her blouse.
[ooc]Why do women always keep pulling potions out of the blouses in my games??
She hands you a unique oil of transmutation DC25 spellcraft to know it's properties. When you find the moonbow, use this. I will give it to you on one condition...

    Shadow Lodge

The women snaps out of her trance and zeros in on Gilderoy. Yes, I am Furia. That is what they call me on this plane of existance anyway. She looks the tall man up and down from head to toe. It is obvious to her that you are relatively awe inspired by her presence. Knowledge Arcana, Spellcraft, or ralated checks might tell you more. Also Detect Magic or related spells.

You are an interesting specimen. You seek to unlease the arcane powers that flow within your veins. You already know those powers are aligned with death, or undeath, by their nature. But if you answer me a question I will tell you more about the power within you...

A second chair slides in from under the curtain, poltergeist style, and stops next to Rasgraton.

Have a seat, Sir, tell me your name and who you are. Where do you come from and what is it that you seek? That is, what you seek that I do not already KNOW that you seek...

    Shadow Lodge

Indeed, the Forge. I will tell you of your destiny then. A wind begings to blow in the room and the candle flickers and struggles to stay lit. The women's voice deepens and her eyes roll back in her head as she gives your fortune. You will stand before the forge upon which the Oread Race was created. You will look upon it with your own eyes. And you will be forced to choose to do something terrible upon the forge. Your decision will spell the destiny of your entire race. You and only you will be able to make this choice.

Just then Gilderoy walks in. Gilderoy you are suddenly swept up in the illusion of the deck, seeing the empty space, stars, abyss, ect...You see Rasgraton speaking with the mysterious lady, Furia.

    Shadow Lodge

    Ras
Very well, Rock Man. She hands you the deck. You may fan out the cards and look at them. They are quite harmless when handled that way. So long as you do not remove one of them from the rest of the deck. Now my question. Look through the cards. Which of these cards speaks to your heart? Which of them calls to you? When (if) you fan through the cards you do indeed hear whispers in your head. Each card seems to have it's own voice meshing in to a concophony of suggestions and declarative statements. Angry cards, beautiful cards, lustful cards. you see:
