I can't believe no one said the Basic flipmap. It allows you to draw anything.
For those that missed Gencon, we will have all the scenarios that ran at Gencon including 5-99, 6-00, 6-01, 6-02, 6-03, and Bonekeep 3. We will also have the newest releases, 6-04 and 6-05.

Not to get off topic, but it seems we are again.
Why is it that when a Neutral character commits a good act it doesn't shift them to good? But, the first time they commit an evil act it needs to be noted on their chronicle?

I agree this is one of those crazy threads that will eventually end in it being locked and people getting upset because one side offends the other.
So lets just leave it at this:
The skill is Profession(XXXXXX). I couldn't care less what the (xxxxxx) is, just tell me the roll if it is for a Day Job. That happens "off screen" and I can not adjudicate what your character does between sessions.
That being said, I have had characters want a circumstance bonus because they have a certain profession. I.E. a Profession (Florist) might get a circumstance bonus to help with a Knowledge(Nature) roll to identify a type of flower. At that point it becomes an issue if you have something questionable as your profession, and I might not allow you to use it.

3 rogues, a wizard, and a bard walk into Bonekeep...
They are never heard from again.
Congrats, Dom. Looking forward to seeing you at Gencon again this year.
I think the Clockwork Key just became a must have item for next season.
Osprey was never a Venture-Captain that I recall. I think he was a Hand of the Decemvirate or something like that.
Atreus Starslayer has established his lodge / retirement villa on the Island of Jalmeray. He splits his time between overseeing matters here and instructing students at the Acadamae in Korvoso. He also occasionally enjoys a trip to the moon.
Please join me in welcoming our new Venture-Lieutenant, Brian Fruzen.
Brian has been a great addition to our community. He will be running the game store games at Games Universe in Menomonee Falls, WI and helping out with Milwaukee area conventions.

Gary Con is an annual game convention held every March in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, to honor the memory of the father of role-playing games, E. Gary Gygax. Their focus is on the one thing Gary loved most: gaming!
We will have PFS running all weekend long. Check out the schedule and signup at their website. Event registration will go live soon.
We are happy to announce that the Pathfinder Society of Milwaukee will be running a full slate of games at Anime Milwaukee on February 14th-16th.
We will be running mainly low level older scenarios, but we will also have the two latest releases.

Wow, that is awful. In this case they are required to put in almost double the time and effort to achieve the same reward as previous 3 encounter scenarios. Not a fan of this.
Also, when you complete a scenario with no encounters, at least no combat encounters, you still get your XP. I have seen this in two different scenarios with two different parties.
There is no rule to the number of encounters in a scenarios. I do not know where you got the idea that it is three. Several older scenarios had 4 or 5 or possibly more.
The rule is 1 XP per Scenario. If you run out of time or for some reason the main objective can not be completed, such as a TPK, then to get your 1 XP, you need to have completed at least 3 encounters.

"You can't make this roll, so you lose." Either that, or we continually remind scenario authors that it is unrealistic to expect a table to be able to make 5 DC 25 Knowledge checks in a row.
The funny part about this is that there are certain combat qualities that are required. Or at least expected by your table mates.
Some things require combat monkeys and some things require someone who can read. My complaint is there should be more things that require skill checks. Maybe then we would see less Min/Max combat characters.
If you expect the bard to carry a ranged weapon and hit something in combat, you should also expect the fighter to have at least one knowledge skill.
We are starting to get the schedule together for Nexus Game Fair. Let me know if there are any requests.
I am also looking for any GMs that might be interested in volunteering.
We are hoping to have around 50-60 tables over the course of the weekend.
I would encourage you to printout your own copy of the scenario, but I will have extras on hand in case someone forgets one.
I will have all chronicles printed so you will not need to worry about that.
Look forward to seeing you at the convention and thanks again for volunteering to GM.
Congrats, Billy. Welcome to the club.

1st part at Conflagration in February
2nd part at GaryCon at the end of March
3rd part at Milwaukee Summer Revel or Nexus Game Fair in June
Or, if you get other takers, we could do just one of the parts at any of them.
When is Conflagration? Conflagration, at least the one in Milwaukee as there appears to be a few in other areas, is usually the 3rd or 4th weekend in February.
Finlanderboy wrote: How are the rules on Gming and the free. I signed up for traitor's lodge. Should I preregister and then I get refunded? Or do I show up and then get my free badge.
I left saturday morning open. As it stands I can GM any of them so if you want you can have me float and put me where you need someone.
That's great. Thanks for volunteering. I will be submitting a list of the GMs, so you can just pick your badge up when you get there. You do not need to buy one and get reimbursed.

Still looking for a few GMs to help out at the convention. If you GM one event, you badge is covered for the whole weekend.
The Midwinter Gaming Convention started as a LARP convention in Milwaukee and has steadily expanded to boardgames and miniatures games. This year they are focusing on adding more tabletop RPGs. We are happy to announce we will be running PFS from Thursday evening to Sunday morning.
Please register for the convention here.
Register for events on Warhorn.
As always, we are also seeking GMs to help run games.
The guys from Cold Iron Conventions who run some of our conventions in Milwaukee will be running StuffedCows this year down in Chicago at the College of DuPage. There will be PFS and LFR on Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving.
Register Here.
We had a great convention this weekend and exceeded our goal of 50 tables.
I would like to thank all of the Wisconsin and Illinois Venture-Officers that came out along with all the GMs that came and ran games to help make this a great event.
As always the Cold Iron Convention people put on a well organized convention full of hours of great games.

Chris ran his 300th game this past weekend at our convention in Milwaukee. Please join me in congratulating him on this huge accomplishment.
Chris, thanks again for driving up to Milwaukee and helping with our convention. But, also thanks for the other 299 games you have ran in the past that has helped the Pathfinder Society grow at the conventions that you travel to throughout the Midwest.
Joe1288 wrote: Well the GM said maybe, so I plan to show him the math for it. Sorry if I've offended.. But does any 1 know how the resist energy bit was calculated? Sorry Joe, there are no custom items in Pathfinder Society organized play. Are you sure this isn't a home game of PFRPG?
We have added a few more requested scenarios to the list.
There is still time to preregister to get the discount off the price at the door.

Dhjika wrote: In the little that I have GM'ed there seems to be a lot of people with two magical traits - often gifted adept and magical lineage, or magical lineage and magical knack. And people say they had not heard of the rule, so perhaps it has been overturned.
If the rule is still in effect (I think it is, but now I am not sure) - do you let them choose which one they have - or allow them to choose a replacement trait and record that on the chronicle - or say both don't work - suggestions
And the Extra Trait feat - does that change anything about traits to take?
Tia
Yes, it is still the rule. If I had a player that had created their character with two from the same category, I would have them replace one of them with a legal trait from a different category.
The feat you mean is Additional Traits, and it specifies that the traits must be from different categories also. So by taking it once, you would end up with four traits from four different categories.

I'm an older player (my PFS number is 4 digits: 1045) and I've played as much as I can find a table to play. Yet I still have a lot of old modules in 7-11 range I can play for credit. Are there older players who have ran out of 7-11 modules or 5-9 modules to play for credit? Locally (same region as Belafon), I can think of one player that has 3 total scenarios left to play for credit, and a second one who probably has 5-6 left to play for credit. Those are all actually a mix of tiers. I have a few (5-6) players that have only this months scenarios to play.
I personally have only about 10, and most of them are seasons 0 and 1, level 7-11 scenarios.
This is not most players though. I am actually scheduling a new con for January that will have all 27 tables as 1-5 or 1. These are mainly new players and I think that is where the growth is. And as stated before, to these new players, all the old scenarios are actually new content.
Chris Mortika wrote: RDN --
Let's say, hypothetically, that you had already purchased several of the Season 0 scenarios.
If Paizo updated them, would you pay $3.99 each for the updates? (People who bought "Mists of Mwangi" in the 3.5 format got a free upgrade to Pathfinder.)
If you don't think that's reasonable, then you're asking Paizo to develop, layout, etc. a bunch of scenarios for free.
Chris, I think he is talking mainly for newer players that may not have purchased them as they didn't seem worth it. But that is a good point, any of the old stuff would not generate as much revenue as a new product. It also should not cost as much to update it though.
Walter Sheppard wrote:
I don't think it ate into as much development time as you might think, although I too am speaking without full knowledge of what happens behind the scenes. My thought is this, though.
In prior years, when there were three less people we had 4 scenarios released at Gencon plus a special not 3 like this year.
Nathan King wrote: Don't get me wrong, Bonekeep is awesome and I appreciate all that Paizo has done and has planned for it, but I think that really ate into development time for the special and the first three season 5 scenarios. Agree. Bonekeep is awesome, and I love that Jason is doing content for PFS, but it did seem to mess up the regular pipeline and I don't feel it was worth it. For the Uber-player that plays everything, yes, but not for the casual player.
Silbeg wrote: ** spoiler omitted **
Sorry... nothing to add that doesn't need to be spoilered!
In this specific scenario I believe the box text describing the hallway would make any team paying attention go strait to the end room. Had it happen twice back when the scenario came out. It removes the other encounters, but the players should still go back and check everything.
I see the new module that is due in December(?), Wardens of the Reborn Forge, is for 12-15. Could that be used as the new Seeker arc?
Then we could focus on 1-5 instead of the Seeker arc.
Not that I don't love Seekers, I have three and want them to be able to do something. I just think their play style works better for home groups and not game days or conventions.
For those that have played this in PFS mode, how long does each part take?
I'm looking at scheduling this for a convention and I was wondering if I need to schedule each section for two slots or if they can fit into one.
You should have them soon. I submitted the list, and it usually doesn't take that long to get them added.
Not sure if there is much going on in Platteville. Your best bet might be the games Mat Starch has in Madison or Mark Mastej runs some stuff in La Crosse. There might also be some games in Dubuque, but I am uncertain.
Or the best alternative is to start up your own game day when you find some gamers in the area. We would enjoy getting more of a presence in that corner of the state.
I just wanted to send out a note to let everyone know that we have plenty of spots available for both Players and GMs.
We tend to get quite a few walk up and last minute attendees, so feel free to sign up to judge or play something even if there are not that many people signed up right now.

Yeah, money weight (50 coins/pound) is a rule of the game, not just something invented by HeroLab. But it does not have to be carried as coins. Gems, dust, whatever....
Chris - we can always use more GMs.
Kyle is correct. When you register for an event, you have the option of which character to signup with or to judge. We give the judges free reign to signup for what they want, but I have a few that wait until the end to fill in the holes.
We have just added 4-24 and 4-25 to the list. So, if you want to know why we are going to the Worldwound in season 5, come on down.
Mike Clarke wrote: Register Here. The website is now live and you can start registering.
I hope that the site will be ready to go by the end of the weekend.
Yes, we plan to offer both levels 1 and 2.
Thanks guys. We can definitely use more GMs. Brian, as Finlanderboy already knows, you can register as a GM when the site comes up.
