** spoiler omitted **...
Inspired by FedoraFerret's great work here, I took this and turned this into something that could be shared as a physical prop. Then COVID-19 happened so I turned it into a digital handout.
My players just got to this point on Sunday and loved this.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1msmK_eCYX7kzoX9rF0T99VHkZjDFpZOT/view
Currently putting together some handouts for Voz's journal and research found after confronting her and can share that if anyone is interested! I know it is a long shot but does anyone have this handout still? It seems to not be available through this link anymore. Thank you in advance
So I am reading the description of Voz’s Personal Quarters and it describes "and several alarmingly large balls of lint." I can't find any other reference to that and "alarmingly large" is a weird description. Am I missing something on this?

Strangely, no one has brought this up. RAW, it would seem that Hobji knocks players out as a free action if he hits them with their fist. It says the target begins suffocating and the rules for suffocating say
AoN on drowning and suffocation wrote: "you fall unconscious and start suffocating. You can’t recover from being unconscious and must attempt a DC 20 Fortitude save at the end of each of your turns. On a failure, you take 1d10 damage, and on a critical failure, you die. On each check after the first, the DC increases by 5 and the damage by 1d10; these increases are cumulative. Once your access to air is restored, you stop suffocating and are no longer unconscious (unless you’re at 0 Hit Points)." This means suffocation starts after you are already out of air and that is what Strangling Grasp says it does. I have to believe that the writer meant to start the holding breath aspect rather than suffocation.
Lastly, it isn't clearly defined how he keeps suffocating people. I am ruling he needs to successfully hit the victim once per turn with his fist attack to trigger the free action again or else the victim is free.

I am only through Part 1 of Book 1 so far. I felt the combats in that part were very easy for my 4 person group besides the first moose With a 5 person party, I am sure you will need to up the difficulty from my experience. (My group is barbarian, witch, druid, bard)
EDIT: also thank you for the write up! I will check it out.

No Troy, no enjoy. :(
Behind a paywall? Guess I'll go AWOL. I would agree in that Troy is my favorite GM on the network. It will be interesting to see how Jared does with running a tactical game (so far we have only seen him play more narrative based games) and how he does a prewritten adventure (we have only seen him homebrew). But if I wasn't already a $10 subscriber, I don't think this would be enough to make me one. That being said, Timewatch with Jared, Joe, Mary Lou, and Paula Deming was a beautiful cast and excited to add Skid to that mix.

Also, throwing my support behind this adventure. The story needs a little help and most of that is covered in these forums but it is fun and lots of NPCs to play with. The structure of it seems perfect for PbP as well. Highly recommend it for people playing in online communities.

He is the relative to one of the Following's elders and they have no evidence of him doing anything wrong besides being a jerk. Your players should get bad vibes from him and they should not trust him. But nothing he does should warrant putting him to death. If your players attack him, I would use his stat block at the end of the book but have the Following break the fight up after 1 round or something. If you let the fight play out for long, you will probably have some dead PCs on your hands.
If they take off with the idea that he may of killed Wipa's husband, I wouldn't let them find any evidence that he did because that would accelerate the conflict.
My take on Pakano is that he is an entitled jerk due to his physical strength and his status with Grandfather Eiwa but wasn't set on causing harm to the Following until the Night of the Green Moon when he gets embarrassed in front of the whole Following and scolded when he was expecting everything. That was the final straw that made him go from jerk to villain.

I am considering running Bounty 10:HIllcross Round Up as a introduction to the campaign setting. How far from Hillcross does the campaign start? And across the three books, do they visit Hillcross at all? I know the players guide mentions they go there about once a year or something like that.

Ohh... I am just a fool, there isn't a level 3 iconic for most classes. I will need to pick from the short list. I will go with Amiri for this adventure then.
Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Just my luck, the swashbuckler isn't coded for easy copy and paste for a profile. I will get the profile set up early tomorrow for that character then. Excited to play in a special. It had been awhile since I have played in a special event!
Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
My initial thoughts is to play the swashbuckler iconic. It seems like a melee damage dealer would be useful and I have never played that class. Any thoughts from the group?
Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Hey friends! I know I am super super late, but if it would be cool with you all, could I play a pre gen at this table? I am well equated with posting on paizo boards, but has been a bit. In the coming hour I will post what class I am interested in playing based on what we already have.

So I was planning to pick up secrets of magic with my next pay check (this up coming Friday) and was pretty excited about it. But the end of last week has really put a damper on that excitement and I am not sure I will buy it. The update from Jeff has put it from a definite no to a possibly but I am torn.
I am a straight cisgendered male who plays a game with cisgendered males and I feel passionatly about trans rights. The APs have really helped me with the other members of my groups take transgender people more seriously and that feels great. The first time I introduced a trans NPC they took it as a joke and stuff but because of the way Paizo builds their NPCs, it didn't take long for the group to stop thinking it was funny that they were trans and saw them as a character. Since then, they don't even blink at inclusion of LGBTQ+ NPCs. That makes me feel good and is one of the many things I love about Paizo. It hurt and confused me that the company who helped me educate on transgender also had transphobic tendencies.

Is it the same here? I am considering giving my players the choice of building their own or using a pregen. Well pregens are less important here(any sort of famous hunter group works), but for purpose of being society legal for sanctioning, while you can alter the adventure a bit you HAVE to use the pregens as written if you want to give them society chronicles. I am the only one who does any Society in my group (I am the forever GM so I play PbP to be able to be a player) so that rule only sucks for me, but it does stink. Thanks for your help!
How important are the Pregens to this adventure? I know with the pirate one, their stories were important to the story

For anyone who played it, how long did it take to finish? Or how long is this type of adventure designed to finish? Thank you in advance!
I am getting ready to start up a game in less than two weeks and one of my players wants to be security for the circus. In a normal show being a security guard would negate hecklers and scalpers but in the first show you have ruffians and drunks. What benefit did you guys give to the group/the player who is a security guard during the first show?

I am not sure I will be in a place to want to GM for awhile again. Last time I got into PbP I dove a little too hard in and got a little overwhelmed so I want to start slow and I have very little experience with 2e. If you want me to drop from the group after this bounty to get someone who would be able to run one, I would totally understand!
Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Hey friends! I am working on putting everything from my head into a character sheet throughout today and should be good to get started shortly. Excited to give 2e a go! Thank you for the invite Zendel!
I have my concept and build figured out for my fighter for the bounty 4 game. I will have him built as soon as I can and post. Thank you for the invite to play!
Fun! That could be a cool way to say my character joined up with the society! Ohh that is a lot of casters/not physical types. I might switch things up a bit and make a melee character instead then.
On a side note, is it just bounties that tend to be 4 players or society scenarios also 4 players as standard?
As a side note, I am planning on making a divination wizard who is multiclassing to investigator. The concept I had in mind was a halfling but it is hard to pass up on ancient elf for multiclassing. That is all I have left to decide and I can build him up.
When are you starting the bounty 4 game? I can try to build up a character asap if there is still a seat available and you haven't started.
On a side note, for someone who is only familiar with pfs 1e, what is a bounty?
Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Hello! I am looking into maybe dipping my toes back into a pbp (I used to be pretty active as a GM and a player in pbp 1e). I am thinking of trying out a game of society in 2e and was wondering if there is a fillable standard pbp character sheet like there was in 1e?
Thank you in advance!

Jang, your chronicle is now in the folder.
I will leave this active for a couple of days to address any questions you have about the adventure or chronicles.
It was wonderful playing with you all and hope you get to continue this group for years to come. Thank you the invite. I hope to see you all around again.
Once I close this thread, I will not be cheacking this site at all. I will drop my email here if you ever need to reach me in the future since I will not get messages from paizo.

I understand friends, I just wanted to make the offer! It is always nice to work with agents as skilled as you.
chronicles will be done with the next couple of hours!

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Ahh, I see you are traveling with one of my agents and you don't know what we stand for? He gives Gorak a playful smile.
Once Gorak begins talking about his findings, This all sounds so fascinating! But lets start from the beginning, I am excited to hear your story and look at the things you found. Get comfortable before we get too into it!
As you walk to the inn, he practically bounces with excitement. Before you arrive at the inn, the stone elephant shrinks down to about medium size.
When you all enter the inn, the stone elephant’s appearance startles the innkeeper, but she quickly recovers. Ashasar hands the woman a bag of rocks and several gold pieces, Could you heat the stones on the stove, my elephant enjoys resting atop warm rocks. Thank you!
Once you all get seated, Ashasar says Truly, I’m jealous of all of you for getting to go on such a fascinating excursion, but such is the way of a leader, doomed to delegate. Please, tell me what you found, and don’t spare the details!
While you report in, Ashasar seeks details about the seasonal changes, such as those created by the rift, and the rapid seasons in the Whirlwood. He listens with rapt attention to every detail, occasionally asking you for an extra flourish of description. He also asks you to see the objects that Gorak mentioned before.
Once the report concludes, the stone elephant speaks up, speaking in terran.
Ashasar takes control of the conversation again, Overall, this seems to be a job well done and a great first step to showing the soceity how having the concordance on their side will be a boon. From the story, it seems like each of you bring something truly special. But Gorak, I am honored to have you as one of my agents. You did excellent work bring me your findings. You will surely be a star in this organization. Speaking of that, do any of the rest of you want to jump ship and join the ever exciting Concordance?
Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
All that we have left to do is roleplay with the leader of the Concordance for a bit. I plan to hand out chronicles by Wednesday this week.
Welcome to the group, Michael! These are a group of people and I hope you have a great time playing with them.
Vinnie, I think there could be a case for that! I will make sure to mark it on your chronicle!
You don't need to remove me because I plan to be stepping back from the site as a whole and if things get settled, having that on my page might make it easier to find you all later!

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
As you each describe the tattoos, the gnome casts a spell and begins drawing what each of you describe. This is just temporary, but I will keep these on till I meet an artist who has the skills to make these look perfect!
They seems to really enjoy the uniqueness of Vinnie's family crest for she has never seen a crest like it.
They listens to Jang's talk about the goddess. I am an admirer of beauty, but have never been one of faith and worship. Maybe I will atend a temple of your goddess from time to time. But I will always think of this heroic dwarf when I see the goddesses symbol and my own tattoo!
They seems offended and hurt by the cold response from Aldar.
Azure giggles at the silliness of the hat and goggles look but happily draws it out on their flesh. What color hat is it? It seems to look green now, but I could of sworn that it was different color before!
The ritual goes off without a hitch but you don't notice anything different after the spell, but Jamila and Falbin assure you that it worked.
During the journey back to Bellis, you notice the tropical winds cooling and the overgrown vegetation slowly retreating. When you reach the town, you find the streets abuzz with talk of a great stone beast that appeared suddenly in the town square.
As you enter the square, you see an elephant that appears to have been roughly hewn from solid rock towers over tents and kiosks in the Bellis market square. After a moment, a statuesque suli man emerges from behind the elephant, scanning the commons with his electric-blue eyes. When he spots Jamila, he smiles and waves her over.
Typical, mutters Jamila, folding her arms but smirking in spite of herself, Even when he’s late, Ashasar knows how to make an entrance. Or should I say, especially when he’s late.
He smiles widely and greets you all. Ahh, I am Ashasar, the Liaison to the Seat of Balance of the Concordance of Elements, as well as the newly appointed liaison between the Concordance and the Pathfinder Society.
Would you mind coming to this cozy inn I found and filling me in on the report over some tea?
Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
I apologize again that I will need to drop. If this group is together still and has an opening, maybe someday I will have the time to join up again.
Vinnie is correct. It is all over besides some roleplay.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Honestly, it is one my favorite boons I have seen in society play. They will be rorded on your chronicle, it is one of the boons.
The other bags seem to not be mentioned after they are on the tree. The red bag is considered treasure and will appear on your chronicle sheet to buy.
Jamila speaks up first, Ahh wonderful. I think we just finished setting up a ritual to close this hole. The first part of this spell will be getting Azure their colors back.
The gnome practically dives inside the bindle bag in their eagerness, an act that not only resaturates the gnome’s colors but also restores the sorcerer’s joyous, flamboyant personality.
While Jamila and Falbin begin the ritual, the very excitable Azure will not stop showering you with praise. You all are the best... no the best isn't enough. True heroes! The ones they write books about! I will never forget what you have done... in fact, she looks down at her skin. I think I am interested in getting 5 tattoos. Tell me, what is a tattoo that I can get that exemplifies your personality?
She wants each of you to describe a tattoo that will be a symbol of you to her.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Nope, you covered everything!
After collecting gear and stabilizing the few who could be. the group begins walking backwards from the direction they came. It isn't long before you return the frozen lake that took you here. You know that to get home, you need to repeat the ritual of spinning in the water. This supposed to require a swim check again but there is no consequence for failing besides needing to retry and that will just add something unnecessary to the adventure.
After a couple minutes, the whole group spins their way back to their realm. In each of your hands appears the item you offered to plane. Each touched in a strange way by the first wold magic.
Jang, your compass will now cry whenever you leave the room without it.
Aldar, your magical bracers suddenly sprouts tiny, blinking eyes.
Gorak, your tophat now changes colors depending on your mood. My personal favorite.
Courtland, whenever your dagger is in use, it repeats everything you say in a singing voice.
Vinnie, your goggles now giggle and cue whenever you are wearing them. It would of been great if your goggles got the blinking eyes one.
Jamila, Falbin, and Azure are still here when you return.
Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Looking over these creatures, you are able to find a broken glaive, a shortbow, masterwork panpipes, three suits of studded leather armor, three longbow, one pair of boots of the cat, and three everburning torches.
Gorak is pretty sure the floating motes of element energy in the area might be of interest to his faction. They aren't hard to collect, it just takes a couple of minutes.
What do you do now?

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Gorak is making short work of these guys!
Gorak continues his giant sized rampage through these hunters. Another swing, and another one falls!27 damage to yellow
Vinnie conjures up some barbed chains that lash out at the final enemy, tripping the fey creature. But it seems to fight through the fear caused by these chains.
Courtland takes a swing at the prone enemy and is able to stab him pretty hard! 7 damage to blue
That is when Aldar steps in with a flurry of blows! The first swing misses but the second one lands true, ending the final fey creature!
The seasons settle as the combat end. They are still changing randomly, but not so violently or as frequently.

Nice will save, but that is two rough attack rolls in a row! Lucky for you, Vinnie's buff makes it a hit!
Gorak does not seem amused by the fey's joke and instead, punishes him a absolutely brutal hit! For the second time this combat, Gorak removes a fey's head with his oversized weapon! 23 damage to red
The cat looking skinwalker moves up to Vinnie and attempts to claw at him twice. But clearly, this combat is a struggle for it as both claws miss by a mile.
The snake person takes a step toward Gorak, hoping to take out thew beheading giant! But he suffers the same luck as his buddy and can't seem to get even close with an attack.
Everyone besides Gorak and the bad guys have the fall condition for their actions (-2 to ranged attacks). At the top of the round, the season will change again, this time, back to summer. Only Gorak's actions will take the -2 on melee attacks at this time. The sun comes back in full force as the leaves settle and the overgrowth comes back, making it difficult to have proper footwork for melee attacks.

Gorak steps up and swings with his massive reach and despite the undergrowth, is able to swing his mighty sword and cuts down the wolf person, removing his head! 26 damage to light blue
The faun plays a quick tune on his panpipes as he steps back and casts a spell as at Gorak while telling a joke. Will save dc 17 (you get an additional +4 to the save because the joke doesn't match your humor). If you fail, you fall prone laughing at the joke. On your turn, you can make the save again (still with the + 4)but costs you that full round. He then points at Aldar and says, Get that one, he is injured!
The others blatantly ignore him and fire their bows. The snake person takes a step back first and fires at Gorak. His arrow misses by a mile. The other one step out from behind the faun and fires at Vinnie. This arrow comes very close to hitting, but misses as well.

Okay time to get this started!
You spot the enemy hunt moving through the forest. Haha, told you that they wouldn't know to walk backwards to get away from the glade! one the hunter's shouts, followed by another adds in anger, You idiot! They know now!
The enlarged Gorak gets to act first against these oddities.

I will wait till tomorrow to here from Courtland. Just so you guys know, we are coming very close to the end of the adventure, if you wanted to start planning the next adventure.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Well... I have no clue how to resolve Aldar's actions haha
The group continues darting through the woods, arrows flying by and the sound of horns behind you. Jang gets a sense of where to move and go to stay ahead of the fey and Vinnie is able to climb the trees giving a better view to direct his allies plus move faster. Courtland tries to relies on his realm's logic to lead to some water, but is unable to find the water he was expecting. Gorak, tries to hind in a plant that he was sure to help but turns out it makes him so itchy he is unable to stay hidden for long. These last two action do not slow the groups movement, but they also do not help you get ahead.
After running for a short period of time, you burst into the same glade that you were fleeing from. This seems odd, but it is the First World. You get the sense that there must be a trick to leaving but you don't have the time to test that now. The behind the scenes look into this is that essentially the fight is resolved here. The chase scene gives you the chance to get to the fight scene early allowing time to buff and position yourselves. You get here 1 round ahead of the enemies, plus another round per success.
I think I know how I will resolve Aldar's. Your action will count as an auto success for the group. Each of my enemies will get a single ranged attack action on you. This will also putting you reaching the glade 2 rounds after the rest of the group.
As Aldar turns back to pull some focus on him while the others get away, the enemies show surprisingly great aim. As the first arrow comes in, Aldar manages to deflect it off the side but there is nothing he can do about the other two that strike into him. One arrow comes whistling by his head. After deflect arrows, you take 4 damage Aldar
This gives you four rounds before the enemies show back up. Please do what you want to get ready for the fight and post when you are ready. Also have yourself on the map where you want to be (as long as you have enough movement to do that by the end of the four rounds). I will have a red arrow on the map to show the direction that the enemies are coming from. Aldar, you will only have two rounds before the baddies show up.
Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Unlike other adventures, this chase scene is more for flavor rather than the mechanics of a chase. How this work is each of you will describe yourself running through the forest while being chased followed by a skill check that makes sense for your story. I will award up to a + 4 bonus on the check if you write something up that captures the scene describes your actions well. You each only get one skill check and will be busy doing your own check so aiding wont be an option. Creative solutions may also grant you a bonus (but won't exceed the + 4). Once everyone posts their pieces, I will conclude the chase.
Just as a reminder, you are still in the random season location here. It will not incur any mechanical issues, but just a reminder for flavor.
The Hunt, as promised lets you run into the woods with a head start. A couple minutes later, you hear the hunt horn and you know it has begun...

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Courtland knows these creatures to be members of a Wild Hunt, the same thing that the fey woman from the lake was. Individually, the first and aggressive sounding one is a variant of a faun. The only special knowledge of them that you have is that they are known for their powerful enchantment magic. They also are defensive against most things besides cold iron. DR/cold iron, SR, and Resist cold and electricity
The other three variant skinwalkers. The only special thing about them is they are also defensive of most magic and elements. SR and resist cold, electricity, and fire.
The aggressive faun looks at the rambling Vanara, You, you fool! You are the prey.
The bickering begins all over again. Finally the third speaker, a serpent like skinwalker, says I like you! He throws an arm around Vinnie and goes on You are the finest kind of pppprey. Letssss make thisssss like a traditional hunt! With everyone finally calming down, it seems like they agree with the serpent. They would like to make this into a fun hunt for all. This means that they want to give you a head start to get away. They win if they defeat you and you win you defeat them or get away.
Does this proposition make sense? If you agree, I will give you a run down of the mechanics.
Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker
Once you pack up and getting ready to head out, you hear the thunderous drone of a hunter’s horn.
Outlanders and thieves! declares a muscular man with goats’
legs and glowing green eyes. Casting back his cloak to reveal curling horns atop his head, he continues, We of the Whirlwood wild hunt do hereby doom you unto death!
From another quadrant of the grove, a furry scout pipes up. Clortho, please. For all we know, they have been sent here by Ng, or another one of the Eldest.
Ssstuff it, Ronronne, hisses a third hunter, Why can’t we just agree to have a good old fashioned hunt, yess?
Because, Xox, says the wolflike fourth, we cannot hunt
without our full complement. Where is Daisag?
At this point, you are free to step in or let them continue. Please let me know what you would like to do. With any attempts to be social-able with them, attach an appropriate check. I will continue with how this scene plays out if no one wants to interrupt.
