I understand friends, I just wanted to make the offer! It is always nice to work with agents as skilled as you.

chronicles will be done with the next couple of hours!

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Ahh, I see you are traveling with one of my agents and you don't know what we stand for? He gives Gorak a playful smile.

Once Gorak begins talking about his findings, This all sounds so fascinating! But lets start from the beginning, I am excited to hear your story and look at the things you found. Get comfortable before we get too into it!

As you walk to the inn, he practically bounces with excitement. Before you arrive at the inn, the stone elephant shrinks down to about medium size.

When you all enter the inn, the stone elephant’s appearance startles the innkeeper, but she quickly recovers. Ashasar hands the woman a bag of rocks and several gold pieces, Could you heat the stones on the stove, my elephant enjoys resting atop warm rocks. Thank you!

Once you all get seated, Ashasar says Truly, I’m jealous of all of you for getting to go on such a fascinating excursion, but such is the way of a leader, doomed to delegate. Please, tell me what you found, and don’t spare the details!

While you report in, Ashasar seeks details about the seasonal changes, such as those created by the rift, and the rapid seasons in the Whirlwood. He listens with rapt attention to every detail, occasionally asking you for an extra flourish of description. He also asks you to see the objects that Gorak mentioned before.

Once the report concludes, the stone elephant speaks up, speaking in terran.

Terran:

I have a story to tell as well. The people of this town were so awed and impressed my grand appearance. It was truly something to behold! He continues on talking about how nice it was to see so many impressed people.

Ashasar takes control of the conversation again, Overall, this seems to be a job well done and a great first step to showing the soceity how having the concordance on their side will be a boon. From the story, it seems like each of you bring something truly special. But Gorak, I am honored to have you as one of my agents. You did excellent work bring me your findings. You will surely be a star in this organization. Speaking of that, do any of the rest of you want to jump ship and join the ever exciting Concordance?

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

All that we have left to do is roleplay with the leader of the Concordance for a bit. I plan to hand out chronicles by Wednesday this week.

Welcome to the group, Michael! These are a group of people and I hope you have a great time playing with them.

Vinnie, I think there could be a case for that! I will make sure to mark it on your chronicle!

You don't need to remove me because I plan to be stepping back from the site as a whole and if things get settled, having that on my page might make it easier to find you all later!

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

As you each describe the tattoos, the gnome casts a spell and begins drawing what each of you describe. This is just temporary, but I will keep these on till I meet an artist who has the skills to make these look perfect!

They seems to really enjoy the uniqueness of Vinnie's family crest for she has never seen a crest like it.

They listens to Jang's talk about the goddess. I am an admirer of beauty, but have never been one of faith and worship. Maybe I will atend a temple of your goddess from time to time. But I will always think of this heroic dwarf when I see the goddesses symbol and my own tattoo!

They seems offended and hurt by the cold response from Aldar.

Azure giggles at the silliness of the hat and goggles look but happily draws it out on their flesh. What color hat is it? It seems to look green now, but I could of sworn that it was different color before!

The ritual goes off without a hitch but you don't notice anything different after the spell, but Jamila and Falbin assure you that it worked.

During the journey back to Bellis, you notice the tropical winds cooling and the overgrown vegetation slowly retreating. When you reach the town, you find the streets abuzz with talk of a great stone beast that appeared suddenly in the town square.

As you enter the square, you see an elephant that appears to have been roughly hewn from solid rock towers over tents and kiosks in the Bellis market square. After a moment, a statuesque suli man emerges from behind the elephant, scanning the commons with his electric-blue eyes. When he spots Jamila, he smiles and waves her over.

Typical, mutters Jamila, folding her arms but smirking in spite of herself, Even when he’s late, Ashasar knows how to make an entrance. Or should I say, especially when he’s late.

He smiles widely and greets you all. Ahh, I am Ashasar, the Liaison to the Seat of Balance of the Concordance of Elements, as well as the newly appointed liaison between the Concordance and the Pathfinder Society.

Would you mind coming to this cozy inn I found and filling me in on the report over some tea?

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

I apologize again that I will need to drop. If this group is together still and has an opening, maybe someday I will have the time to join up again.

Vinnie is correct. It is all over besides some roleplay.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Honestly, it is one my favorite boons I have seen in society play. They will be rorded on your chronicle, it is one of the boons.

The other bags seem to not be mentioned after they are on the tree. The red bag is considered treasure and will appear on your chronicle sheet to buy.

Jamila speaks up first, Ahh wonderful. I think we just finished setting up a ritual to close this hole. The first part of this spell will be getting Azure their colors back.

The gnome practically dives inside the bindle bag in their eagerness, an act that not only resaturates the gnome’s colors but also restores the sorcerer’s joyous, flamboyant personality.

While Jamila and Falbin begin the ritual, the very excitable Azure will not stop showering you with praise. You all are the best... no the best isn't enough. True heroes! The ones they write books about! I will never forget what you have done... in fact, she looks down at her skin. I think I am interested in getting 5 tattoos. Tell me, what is a tattoo that I can get that exemplifies your personality?

She wants each of you to describe a tattoo that will be a symbol of you to her.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Good luck with grad school! I just finished mine and I have to admit, it wasn't easy but so rewarding. I wish you all the best.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Nope, you covered everything!

After collecting gear and stabilizing the few who could be. the group begins walking backwards from the direction they came. It isn't long before you return the frozen lake that took you here. You know that to get home, you need to repeat the ritual of spinning in the water. This supposed to require a swim check again but there is no consequence for failing besides needing to retry and that will just add something unnecessary to the adventure.

After a couple minutes, the whole group spins their way back to their realm. In each of your hands appears the item you offered to plane. Each touched in a strange way by the first wold magic.

GM Stuff:

Jang compass: 1d10 ⇒ 9
Aldar Bracers: 1d10 ⇒ 8
Gorak Tophot: 1d10 ⇒ 3
courtland dagger: 1d10 ⇒ 10
Vinnie smoked goggles: 1d10 ⇒ 4

Jang, your compass will now cry whenever you leave the room without it.

Aldar, your magical bracers suddenly sprouts tiny, blinking eyes.

Gorak, your tophat now changes colors depending on your mood. My personal favorite.

Courtland, whenever your dagger is in use, it repeats everything you say in a singing voice.

Vinnie, your goggles now giggle and cue whenever you are wearing them. It would of been great if your goggles got the blinking eyes one.

Jamila, Falbin, and Azure are still here when you return.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Looking over these creatures, you are able to find a broken glaive, a shortbow, masterwork panpipes, three suits of studded leather armor, three longbow, one pair of boots of the cat, and three everburning torches.

Gorak is pretty sure the floating motes of element energy in the area might be of interest to his faction. They aren't hard to collect, it just takes a couple of minutes.

What do you do now?

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Gorak is making short work of these guys!

Gorak continues his giant sized rampage through these hunters. Another swing, and another one falls!27 damage to yellow

Vinnie conjures up some barbed chains that lash out at the final enemy, tripping the fey creature. But it seems to fight through the fear caused by these chains.

Courtland takes a swing at the prone enemy and is able to stab him pretty hard! 7 damage to blue

That is when Aldar steps in with a flurry of blows! The first swing misses but the second one lands true, ending the final fey creature!

The seasons settle as the combat end. They are still changing randomly, but not so violently or as frequently.

Combat Over!

Nice will save, but that is two rough attack rolls in a row! Lucky for you, Vinnie's buff makes it a hit!

Gorak does not seem amused by the fey's joke and instead, punishes him a absolutely brutal hit! For the second time this combat, Gorak removes a fey's head with his oversized weapon! 23 damage to red

The cat looking skinwalker moves up to Vinnie and attempts to claw at him twice. But clearly, this combat is a struggle for it as both claws miss by a mile.

The snake person takes a step toward Gorak, hoping to take out thew beheading giant! But he suffers the same luck as his buddy and can't seem to get even close with an attack.

Everyone besides Gorak and the bad guys have the fall condition for their actions (-2 to ranged attacks). At the top of the round, the season will change again, this time, back to summer. Only Gorak's actions will take the -2 on melee attacks at this time. The sun comes back in full force as the leaves settle and the overgrowth comes back, making it difficult to have proper footwork for melee attacks.

Everyone is up!

Jang is able to reach out and trip the faun.

Courtland makes a jab with the rapier but the attack is unable to strike true against the faun.

Vinnie, depite being spotted is able to take advantage of the situation and is able to land two a blows against the faun, but neither seem to have much effect against him. Pesky fey dr

Aldar is able to hit the faun in the side of the head with a powerful kick! This apears to finally rattle the guy a bit. 8 damage to red

Well... Gorak wasn't lying!

Gorak steps up and swings with his massive reach and despite the undergrowth, is able to swing his mighty sword and cuts down the wolf person, removing his head! 26 damage to light blue

The faun plays a quick tune on his panpipes as he steps back and casts a spell as at Gorak while telling a joke. Will save dc 17 (you get an additional +4 to the save because the joke doesn't match your humor). If you fail, you fall prone laughing at the joke. On your turn, you can make the save again (still with the + 4)but costs you that full round. He then points at Aldar and says, Get that one, he is injured!

The others blatantly ignore him and fire their bows. The snake person takes a step back first and fires at Gorak. His arrow misses by a mile. The other one step out from behind the faun and fires at Vinnie. This arrow comes very close to hitting, but misses as well.

Everyone is up. Everyone besides Gorak will take the -2 to melee attack from the summer effect. As the round transitions to round two... The sun dims a bit, bring a nice fall breeze. Swirling leaves make it harder to aim with ranged weapons. Gorak and the bads will have a –2 penalty on ranged attack rolls.

With my really slow posting rate, I think I will bow out until I am on a normal schedule everyday again because I find it hard to either remember to post or time to post. I do apologize if this hurts the group, I just hate being the one who slows a whole game down. [/ooc]

Okay time to get this started!

Roll for Initiative!:

Aldar init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Gorak init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
Vinnie init: 1d20 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 4 = 9
Jang init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Courtland init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Bads: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

You spot the enemy hunt moving through the forest. Haha, told you that they wouldn't know to walk backwards to get away from the glade! one the hunter's shouts, followed by another adds in anger, You idiot! They know now!

The enlarged Gorak gets to act first against these oddities.

Season?: 1d4 ⇒ 3 The sun begins to beat down hard as combat begins, causing undergrowth the grow thick. Rampant undergrowth makes footwork difficult, imposing a –2 penalty on melee attack rolls.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

I will wait till tomorrow to here from Courtland. Just so you guys know, we are coming very close to the end of the adventure, if you wanted to start planning the next adventure.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Well... I have no clue how to resolve Aldar's actions haha

The group continues darting through the woods, arrows flying by and the sound of horns behind you. Jang gets a sense of where to move and go to stay ahead of the fey and Vinnie is able to climb the trees giving a better view to direct his allies plus move faster. Courtland tries to relies on his realm's logic to lead to some water, but is unable to find the water he was expecting. Gorak, tries to hind in a plant that he was sure to help but turns out it makes him so itchy he is unable to stay hidden for long. These last two action do not slow the groups movement, but they also do not help you get ahead.

After running for a short period of time, you burst into the same glade that you were fleeing from. This seems odd, but it is the First World. You get the sense that there must be a trick to leaving but you don't have the time to test that now. The behind the scenes look into this is that essentially the fight is resolved here. The chase scene gives you the chance to get to the fight scene early allowing time to buff and position yourselves. You get here 1 round ahead of the enemies, plus another round per success.

I think I know how I will resolve Aldar's. Your action will count as an auto success for the group. Each of my enemies will get a single ranged attack action on you. This will also putting you reaching the glade 2 rounds after the rest of the group.

Aldar Attacks:

big: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1
3: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3

As Aldar turns back to pull some focus on him while the others get away, the enemies show surprisingly great aim. As the first arrow comes in, Aldar manages to deflect it off the side but there is nothing he can do about the other two that strike into him. One arrow comes whistling by his head. After deflect arrows, you take 4 damage Aldar

This gives you four rounds before the enemies show back up. Please do what you want to get ready for the fight and post when you are ready. Also have yourself on the map where you want to be (as long as you have enough movement to do that by the end of the four rounds). I will have a red arrow on the map to show the direction that the enemies are coming from. Aldar, you will only have two rounds before the baddies show up.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Unlike other adventures, this chase scene is more for flavor rather than the mechanics of a chase. How this work is each of you will describe yourself running through the forest while being chased followed by a skill check that makes sense for your story. I will award up to a + 4 bonus on the check if you write something up that captures the scene describes your actions well. You each only get one skill check and will be busy doing your own check so aiding wont be an option. Creative solutions may also grant you a bonus (but won't exceed the + 4). Once everyone posts their pieces, I will conclude the chase.

Just as a reminder, you are still in the random season location here. It will not incur any mechanical issues, but just a reminder for flavor.

The Hunt, as promised lets you run into the woods with a head start. A couple minutes later, you hear the hunt horn and you know it has begun...

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Courtland knows these creatures to be members of a Wild Hunt, the same thing that the fey woman from the lake was. Individually, the first and aggressive sounding one is a variant of a faun. The only special knowledge of them that you have is that they are known for their powerful enchantment magic. They also are defensive against most things besides cold iron. DR/cold iron, SR, and Resist cold and electricity

The other three variant skinwalkers. The only special thing about them is they are also defensive of most magic and elements. SR and resist cold, electricity, and fire.

The aggressive faun looks at the rambling Vanara, You, you fool! You are the prey.

The bickering begins all over again. Finally the third speaker, a serpent like skinwalker, says I like you! He throws an arm around Vinnie and goes on You are the finest kind of pppprey. Letssss make thisssss like a traditional hunt! With everyone finally calming down, it seems like they agree with the serpent. They would like to make this into a fun hunt for all. This means that they want to give you a head start to get away. They win if they defeat you and you win you defeat them or get away.

Does this proposition make sense? If you agree, I will give you a run down of the mechanics.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Once you pack up and getting ready to head out, you hear the thunderous drone of a hunter’s horn.

Outlanders and thieves! declares a muscular man with goats’
legs and glowing green eyes. Casting back his cloak to reveal curling horns atop his head, he continues, We of the Whirlwood wild hunt do hereby doom you unto death!

From another quadrant of the grove, a furry scout pipes up. Clortho, please. For all we know, they have been sent here by Ng, or another one of the Eldest.

Ssstuff it, Ronronne, hisses a third hunter, Why can’t we just agree to have a good old fashioned hunt, yess?

Because, Xox, says the wolflike fourth, we cannot hunt
without our full complement. Where is Daisag?

At this point, you are free to step in or let them continue. Please let me know what you would like to do. With any attempts to be social-able with them, attach an appropriate check. I will continue with how this scene plays out if no one wants to interrupt.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Very clever with object reading! I like it.

Gorak places a hand and takers a moment to read each bag. Each of the normal looking bags (9) show strong transmutation auras. Each reading gives you a sense of some aspect of someone or something. For example you will read a bag and get a short feeling of sorrow of a lost loved one. Another is creativity and when you read it, you mind floods with all sorts of oddity artworks. These nine bags do not give you a clue on who they once belonged to or how to return them.

The red growling bag is identified as a a growling gray bag of tricks This a variant of the normal grey bag of tricks. s. A growling bag of tricks can be used once per day, to a maximum of 3 times per week, and the creatures it summons last for 5 minutes. The animals it summons come from the First World. They have unusual physical features, such as bizarre coloration or abnormally long fur. Compared to typical animals of their type, they gain resistance 5 to both cold and electricity and a +4 bonus on saving throws against mindaffecting effects. Their creature type counts as both animal and fey.. This seems to be the wild aspect of some creature in the First World.

The bag of color is indeed revealed to be Azure’s bag. It confirms the story that Azure had given about how it was taken and why. Gorak is pretty sure that this color might be usable by others as well. It should make you more noticeable, but also more likable, if his reading is correct.

Lastly, the larger bag is the sense of camaraderie! The reason for it's size is that it is the camaraderie of 5 people. This one appears to be taken by the Lantern King. You recognize one of the people this belongs to is the fey woman you defeated out by the lake.

That is all the info that is given from Gorak's readings.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Gorak would guess that all the bags here are for a similar reason as Azure's bag is. It is impossible to tell if it is just Ng who places bags on this tree or if other Eldests do too.It is hard to be certain, but each bag is likely a part of someone and placed in each bag. Probably a form of punishment but once again, hard to say if the punishments are just or not since fey tend to be pretty chaotic.

I think that is all the info that that check can give.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Finally done with the stupid surprise round!

Aldar punches again before the plant is able to respond and deals a huge blow! 14 damage to red

Courtland, I am going to assume you were going for a direct hit, but you missed so I will be rolling where it missed to, though I think it will miss by enough that it hit anyone else. Miss location: 1d8 ⇒ 8 I take that back.[/b] Courtland quickly chucks a flask going for a long distance throw but instead has it land right next to Vinnie, causing flames to touch him. [ooc] 1 damage to Vinnie

Courtland then moves up to the enemy with a weapon drawn.

Gorak moves right up to the enemy as well and swings at the creature, chopping at it like a tree. The blow lands with a solid hit causing sap to leak out as the vine looks to be rough condition.

Luckily, the eagle that is present is able to finish it off with another attack from it's talons! The vine falls over, dead. [ooc]Impressive work. Those creatures can be very dangerous.

With that, there seems to be no obstetrical between you and the bags.

Twelve variably colored bindle bags, secured by silvery drawstrings, hang 10 feet up in the trees. Most of the bags appear as intangible colorless blobs. One of the bags drips with bright, multicolored liquid reminiscent of Azure’s tears. One of the bags looks like the others but seems to be considerably larger than the others. Finally, one bag is covered with reddish grey fur and makes faint growling sounds.

It would take a climb check to get them but between Vinnie and the eagles, you shouldn't have a problem, I just need someone to describe how you proceed.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

I am going to take a guess where you want to be on the map. Please update it if I did it in a way you disagree with.

With the trigger being a surprise round, I will only take the first attack actions.

Vinnie summons his battle spirit to help you all!

Aldar finally gets into position to punch the fine but his attack is unable to penetrate it's natural armor.

Luckily the eagle has some better luck as it's talon cuts into the violent vine. 3 damage to red

Gorak moves up but does not engage in combat yet.

Since you all won initiative, you can post while we wait for Courtland's surprise round. Courtland, you can do your surprise round actions and first round actions together.

As violence begins here, the seasons seem to take offense as their changes begin happening faster and faster and the changes are more striking. Spring is hitting in full swing! Clouds of pollen clog noses and mouths imposing a 20% spell failure chance on all spells with verbal components. This begins at the start of the first real round of combat

Roll for Initiative!:

Aldar init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Gorak init: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Vinnie init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

The vine is not intelligent and will not act until someone trigger it. Casting a summon as the surprise round will not cause the vine to become aggressive and as such, you would get a surprise round again. Once someone has triggered the combat, we move from surprise rounds to initiative. You can take as many rounds to buff as you want until some triggers the monster. The alternative would be treating this like a normal round and just having my monster delay but I figured that letting you do all your prep rounds at once would speed this up. Though I understand if I am being confusing. Let me know and I will switch to running this to round by round. This is one of the situations that being at a table would be ideal haha

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Yeah, the surprise round wouldn't start till something triggers the vine to be aggressive (something attacking it or coming within it's reach). The action that brings the attention of the fine is the action of your surprise round. Everyone else will get a move or standard action then we will go into initiative. Sound good?

I am also sorry, I have been slow to post this week. Today is my brothers wedding and this week, far more responsibilities than expected were given to me. As such, I have been super busy and felt bad for not getting to post. Today and possible tomorrow will be rough but I should get back on track shortly. I am sorry!

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

To Aldar's shout he gets no response.

I guess in theory you might be able to come up with a stealthy way or distraction or something, but any obvious strategies will involve fighting the vine.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

I was going to explain the bags after the combat but I can give some more detail now.

Twelve variably colored bindle bags, secured by silvery drawstrings, hang 10 feet up in the trees. Most of the bags appear as intangible colorless blobs. One of the bags drips with bright, multicolored liquid
reminiscent of Azure’s tears. One of the bags looks like the others but seems to be considerably larger than the others. Finally, one bag is covered with reddish grey fur and makes faint growling sounds.

I put a picture of the bag on the map. The other bags are evenly split between the four squares of that tree. Does this help clear up any confusion?

You guy will get to ready yourselves in anyway you wish. You will have a surprise round once you are where you want to be to start the combat. The map is up to date.

Before Gorak climbs up to touch the tree, Cortland is able to recognize the danger of that "tree". It is actually a dangerous plant called an "assassin vine". It seems to of joined the trees here to disguise itself as a normal tree.

assassin vines are dangerous plants that lie in wait. They grapple and constrict people and have some capacity to entangle people with nearby vines.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

The "tree" does not respond to Vinnie at all. You can make a knowledge nature check on it.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Huh, in my head, I always thought that mage armor was a personal spell. But alas, I am wrong.

Vinnie, Aldar, and Courtland recognize one of the plants up on the hill of mulch as being... different. It is standing rigid and upright, posing as one of the branchless trees. The others will notice the oddity if pointed out to them as well.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Vinnie is able to find some tracks on the ground from the fey woman. Oddly, her footprints seem to be as if she walked here backwards.

As you start following the odd prints, you begin to notice the next oddity when it comes to this strange realm. The seasons all seem to happen randomly and will vary from one moment to the next.

The first season to hit you is a sudden winter. Ice forms over the ground nearly instantly but as quick as it forms, it vanishes giving way to sunshine and rampant undergrowth.

You continue your trek and experience the other seasons as well with clouds of pollen and swirling leaves. There is no method of predicting these changes but alas, you move forward.

No matter the season, the air above this grove dances with multicolored sparks that orbit slowly around a massive mound of prickly vegetation and mulch. A cluster of gnarled, leafless trees rises from the heap. Instead of bearing fruit, the trees bear fat, round bindle bags, each tied closed with silvery rope. Five extinguished campfires dot the grove, each positioned near the mouth of a separate trail.

It is hard to get a good read on what those bindle bags are from here. The mulch is 5 ft high so it will be difficult terrain to move up on it but seems to be packed enough that once you are up, it will be easy enough to move around. Only the first square of the center circle is difficult terrain. Map is up to date.

Everyone can make a perception check. If you are trained in knowledge nature or survival, you may substitute those for the perception check.

Cortland remembers something about fey creatures that are in the First World. They can never truly die. All fey immortal here so when it came to the end of the fight, she sees no benefit to surrendering.

) A First World creature killed while on the First World does not travel to the Boneyard, but simply reappears elsewhere in the First World 1d10 days later as if raised by resurrection, save that the negative level and Constitution drain from that spell cannot force it below 1st level or a Constitution score of 1.

Vinnie is able to help with gathering all the goods that Gorak points out.

If my math is right, everyone is full except Courtland? He healed for 6, bringing him to 13/19.

Are we all set to head out? What is the plan for moving forward?

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

The closing of the fight will be much less detailed than I would of liked.

Aldar is able to drop the last hound with a swift quick to the head. It falls to the ground unconscious.

Vinnie climbs up the tree after the fey woman who looks shocked as he pokes her with the wand and a nasty wound forms on her flesh.

You are all trying to trick me! Everyone here are tricksters. That is all they do! You can't fool me! And surrender? You clearly have no clue where you are... You can make a knowledge nature check here to get some extra info about what she means by that.

Jang shockingly pulls himself out of the water as he creates another glowing white eagle that swoops in to attack the fey woman. Between both eagles, the woman falls out of her tree, missing her throat which is in one of the eagles talons.

End of combat! Nice job, this wasn't an easy one.

With all combats taken care of, you are easily able to use thrope to help Gorak out before he freezes.

Gorak spots a handful of different items that might make his faction happy. The first is a frozen bird that froze right as it was about to take flight out of a tree. It is a dc15 Climb check to climb up a 10-foot-tall tree to reach that bird. (remember the -5 to climbs check due to the ice)

He spots a campfire that the flames seem to of been caught by the flash freezing. The frozen flames are particularly delicate. harvesting a good sample requires a dc15 Sleight of Hand check or a DC 14 Dexterity check.

Lastly, he spots a bunch of flowers that have been effected by the freeze. These are numerous and wouldn't be a challenge to collect a sample. No checks needed for this.

On the fey woman, you find a potion of cure light wounds, a potion of jump, a sleep arrow, masterwork composite longbow (+2 Str), and a masterwork studded leather armor. The hounds do not have any gear.

I will pause her for healing and interacting with everything here.

That is sooooo frustrating! Over the weekend, I made a really long post that concluded the fight and explained everything around you. It would seem that the boards have eaten that post. That was the kind that takes over an hour to type.

Expect a post coming up soon. I am sorry, I thought my post went through.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Aldar moves up to one of the tiny hounds, giving it a swift kick to the head. The is enough to drop the odd critter on the ground, unconscious. 10 nonlethal damage to yellow. I am removing him since the overlay will get messy

I believe you do flank in that situation.

The water deals damage every round after being in it for three. So at the top of the round, I will roll your damage till you get out.

A glorious eagle apears out of thin air ready to tangle with the fey woman in the tree. The bird has a fearsome start with flurry of claws and bite all finding some skin to rip apart. The bite was almost in a very bad place for the fey woman, but it missed by inches. 7 damage to red. (Didn't confirm the crit)

Jang begins casting a long spell again.

Courtland is clearly shocked by the tiny hound moving up to him and the arrow in his side so when he draws his sword, he nearly fumbles it. He is able to maintain his grip, but is ineffective with an attack.

Vinnie, I moved you up with a move action since your target was already dead and had you attack the other hound. I hope that was an okay assumption. Vinnie is glad to see the enemy on him drop so he moves quickly across the ice and pokes the other hound, hoping to release his magical charge. The poke finds it's mark leaving a nasty wound in the poor hound. 5 damage to blue

I will bot Gorak's standard action. If you do not like the action, I will allow you to redo the action in your next post. Gorak sees how much Jang is struggling to get out of the water so he digs in his bag to pull out his rope.

The fey woman looks very upset about this sudden eagle in her tree. She puts away her bow and pulls out her dagger and tries to cut it once. She is able to make slice on it, but the eagle is still alive.3 damage to the eagle

The hound keeps trying to smack Courtland with it's tail. This time, the hound does hit with a surprisingly powerful tail slap. 4 damage to Courtland

Everyone is up! That eagle was a smart play! But you take nonlethal cold damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3.

GM Dice:

red: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
blue: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Jang braves the cold water and begins a long casting of a spell.

Vinnie and Aldar ready actions to attack if the hounds get within range. I may of forgot to mention before, but the "hounds" are tiny sized and the fey person is medium

Courtland struggles across the pond.

The fey woman climbs 10 ft up the tree real quick to sit on a branch and takes a shot with her bow at Courtland. The shot lands true... but only by inches. 8 damage to Courtland

The blue hound tries to nimbly bounce into Courtland's space but slips on the ice opening it up for a shot from him. The little thing then uses it's tail to try and smack him. The poor critter is unable to get through his armor. Courtland gets a free attack at blue.

The final hound moves across the ice to get to Vinnie. Once it gets close, the mean Vanara tries to poke it with a wand, but misses. The hound then tries to get into Vinnie's space. This one manages to hold his footing as he moves and gets right against Vinnie but doesn't have time to attack yet. No AoO for you this round

Suddenly, the slightly flustered Gorak busts through the water, finally entering this world. The cold is really getting to Jnag. NL cold damage): 1d6 ⇒ 5

Just in case people weren't sure of what happens when fighting tiny monsters, you can attack them from your square with no penalty.

With both Vinnie and Aldar helping Courtland out, he is able to get out of the water. Unfortunately, the dwarf is still really struggling despite the helpful hands. Gorak is still stuck on the other side it seems. Lets hope Gorak has some rope when he shows up.

After the long pause fey creature frowns. You are tricksters! I know your type. You are trying to force my to believe you. Hounds, get them!

It is clear combat will start now. It is everyone besides Goraks turn. Remember the difficult terrain. Also, Jang takes nonlethal cold damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5 from spending 3 rounds in the water.

Gorak:

When we get to your turn, this will be the round that you spend a move action to surface in this realm.

GM Dice:

Aldar init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Vinnie, the process of crossing realms was not just swimming down. It involved making an offering and spinning underwater. You know you can travel back, but you are unsure of if it will be possible to travel again after that. You would be pretty sure Gorak is not in danger, just struggling to pull of the spins. If you would like to risk it, you can try swimming back to the other realm.

I will allow you to offer aids in climbing out with a taking 10 when not in combat.

Courtland, that would be enough if it wasn't got the slippery ice...

The fey critter is still contemplating if your story checks out.

Vinnie- 3 rounds of actions left (Let me know if you want to try and spin back to your wolrd)
Jang- 0 rounds
Courtland- 2.5 rounds left (you only took a move action of 1 round)
Aldar- 3 rounds (who are you helping? Also, I will alow an easier dc if someone has rope as Aldar suggested)
Gorak- 0 rounds

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

I am not sure I would say you are out of immediate danger here. You still have a fey creature with a bow aimed at you contemplating if your story makes sense to her. That being said, this dc is especially punishing because you are correct, it is functionally a dc17 check with some serious consequences so I will allow the taking 10.

I believe with Jang's penalties, he needs a 19 to the check... that is just insane. This part just wants to punish anyone with armor I guess. Glad Joseph isn't here.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

No! You are clearly trying to trick us... right? The strange woman takes a moment to contemplate if you can be trusted. She allows you to continue explaining your situation for 18 more seconds before responding.

Okay mechanically, this is a bit odd. Essentially, the diplomacy check bought you three rounds before "something" happens. Those three rounds can be used for movement but if you seem hostile at all, she will attack. By the end of the three rounds, Gorak still hasn't surfaced.

The ice covering the lake, ground, and vegetation makes all surfaces difficult terrain and imposes a –5 penalty on all Acrobatics and Climb checks

Clambering up onto the ice takes a move action and requires a Climb check. After 3 rounds in the frigid water you will begins taking 1d6 points of nonlethal damage per round spent in the water

Please lay out what your three rounds of movement look like and remember to make your climb checks if you are trying to get out of the water. The map is up to date and the green square is the hole in the ice. Feel free to ask questions.

Gorak:

You will (I assume) keep trying to spin and looking silly till you make the check. You made the 5th check so on the fifth round, you will appear in the water. Does that make sense?

**EDIT**
I should mention the climb check is dc12 but don't forget the penalties for it being icy.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

All of you hop into the well and start carrying on the goofy ritual of spinning under water.

Jang, Aldar, Cortland, and Vinnie all lift your head out of the water to see the item you have offered is gone... but you are somewhere new. You are in a frozen lake, emerging through a 15-foot-wide hole in the thick ice.

This picturesque lake and its sylvan surroundings have been flashfrozen. Radiant flowers hang from nearby boughs, encased in a rime of frost. Just above the tree line, frozen birds float suspended in mid-takeoff. On the ground near the lakeshore, a small campfire burns without heat or motion, even its flames sheathed in ice.

Crouched behind a nearby tree, you see a woman of sorts with two "hounds". She is a large spider monkey with a hedgehog’s face and spines. Her hounds are porcupine-kangaroo hybrids. Why couldn't the book give of us artwork for these creatures haha

As you rise from the water, she draws a bow and shouts, You! I knew the culprits would come into this lake! They all laughed but here you are! You caused this scar! You made this frozen waste land and for your crimes you are marked for death!

You have the opportunity to make a single social skill check before she attacks

Gorak:
You spin in a very goofy awkward way and lift your head out of the water to find yourself still in the well with Falbin snickering at you.

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

I don't feel comfortable botting the sacrificed item. Anyone have a suggestion of how I should proceed?

Maps ... Starship combat ... Party Loot Tracker

Dagger is welcome. The other offered items work as well. Magic bracers though is a big one to offer. I need the item offers from Vinnie and Gorak. I also need swim checks from Cortland, Vinnie, and Gorak.
