Male Halfling
![]() Levin returns to the glade in time to see the wisp shiver and disappear, defeated. After checking himself for serious injuries, and the area for any lingering waves of sapping necromantic energy, he approaches the giant orb. The souls within are fading into nonexistence, presumably passing on to the Boneyard for judgment. Levin watches them, transfixed and a little saddened. How awful it must have been. Not even able to die properly, until now. He catches himself and turns away, preparing to leave the glade. And since when did I care this much about a bunch of dead people? * * * * * Levin must admit he's rather disappointed to see Ashava's gifts leave him behind as they return from their adventure. "How many prayers do you think it would take to get that ability back?" he wonders aloud to the other Pathfinders. "Some, uh, sacred dances or something maybe?" He spreads his arms wide in the early dawn light. "Great Ashava, I promise to get myself one of your holy symbols if you let me transform like that again. I'll even wear it sometimes!" ![]()

![]() Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 Levin manages to avoid the worst of the spectral arms, but takes a few painful cuts for his efforts. Still invisible, he runs toward the platform out of reach of the ghosts. Double move. ![]()

![]() "This must be it!" Levin says in a low voice. "The Glade of Silver Sparks we're supposed to look for. And, uh... I don't know what that thing is," he adds, pointing at the silver crystal, "but it sure seems important." He pulls out a wand and conjures an invisible helper. Casting unseen servant, which is active for 1 hour. ![]()

![]() Oh dear, I do not envy either of you. My dad and aunt are still going through their mother's estate (my final grandparent, so they have no help) after like two years. It's a process that's both emotional and tedious for everyone involved. My sympathies to each of you, both for the losses you've suffered and for the tasks you're faced with. ![]()

![]() Levin shudders. He avoids honesty when he can help it, certainly when it advantages him. However, there are times when the brutal truth makes the path forward easier rather than harder. Maybe this is one of those times. "Being forgotten." He says the words softly, as though speaking them aloud makes them real. "Now how about one for the other, eh? What do you fear? Being seen for who you are?" ![]()
Male Halfling
![]() "Sure," Levin responds, looking around uneasily in the thick mist for the source of the voice. "I'm terribly afraid of, um, breakfast pastries. The ones that have chocolate in the middle. And a barmaid to bring them. The thought of that just... really gets to me." One hand grips the handle of his sword. ![]()

![]() Levin quickly shifts to his hybrid form before any of the creatures notice him. Unfortunately the wolf form won't be much good to me in combat, so I'll have to spend the surprise round leaving it. ![]()
Male Halfling
![]() Now this one I can do. Levin reverts to his hybrid form and speaks the words of a spell. Upon completion of the final syllable, he disappears from sight. Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25 Casting vanish. If the normal bonuses for being invisible apply here, he gets an additional +20 (for a total of 45). ![]()

![]() Oof, really starting to feel that level gap. Even with a high Dex and extra speed, a DC 29 is barely achievable for me. Acrobatics + speed bonus: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 8 + 4 = 21 Even in his wolf form, the quicksand is too much for poor Levin. ![]()

![]() Levin shifts to his new wolf form as quickly as he can and darts forward. He can't help but enjoy the thrill of it-- this form is so fast! Bramble Patch (Slip between): 1d20 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 4 = 16 ...Only for his progress to be immediately stymied by the thick brambles. ![]()

![]() Ugh. I read through the Fascinate ability three times looking for a target limit (I've never used it before or frankly seen anyone else use it), but you're right I see it now. Will target Theodorus and the red one next to him. 1 round of bardic performance used so far. ![]()
Male Halfling
![]() I guess I didn't specify, but Levin is also in hybrid form. Oh, this will not do. Levin purses his lips and whistles a long, somber note. He steps forward slowly, careful to appear nonthreatening, continuing the tune into a slow funeral dirge. Are the motes of light pulsing to the sombre tune, or is it just a trick of the shadows? Using the Fascinate bardic performance. Each enemy receives a Will save (DC 17 for being flat-footed) or be fascinated. While he does so, he gestures to his allies. Get into position. Bluff (pass secret message), DC 15: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27 The enemies can make a DC 27 Sense Motive check (-4 if they are fascinated) to understand this message as well. ![]()

![]() "Ccoool!" Levin says appreciatively, his speech slurred by the unaccustomed teeth and long snout. He spends several seconds transforming into each new shape and back to his normal form. Next to the others, even his wolf form seems more like a pup than a fearsome beast. He resists the sudden and powerful urge to howl at the moon. ![]()

![]() With their questions answered, Levin polishes off the rest of his meal and joins Luvyire. "I'd be honored, love. I just hope the spirits can keep up with me!" Once we're able to do some shopping, Levin will buy a mithral dagger as well as a couple of wands. ![]()

![]() Yep! I may want to do some shopping between adventures, but I'd love to continue. Sadly I'll still be very under leveled, but oh well... I really wanna know what this "Celestial Lycanthropy" does, it sounds very cool. Levin will accept it, whatever it is. ![]()
