I've reviewed the books but I'm not an old hat. I'll try to help with rules when able.

Klokk, just so I am perfectly clear on this, I have a few questions:
(1) "Any NPC class Level 5" - Does that mean that we are 5th level in NPC class only (adept, commoner, aristocrat, expert)?
(2) "All players regardless of level will have 4000gold" - Does that mean that we are 1st level unless we want to take 5 levels of an NPC class?
(3) "This is a 100% downtime spin on the AP" - Does that mean that it will be a heavy roleplaying within the downtime rules, no RP just downtime playing, or a mixture of combat/RP/downtime rules?

Kwiz tilts his head to the side before sending a rabbit racing toward the nearest beast. "Wow, those are ugly."

Kwiz puts his hands up but loses focus and starts picking his teeth. He stops suddenly, "Um right... No harm intended. Just returning the boy."


Kwiz smiles happily, "He's just chasing the white rabbit. Let's get moving."

Kwiz laughs as he sees the rabbit connect and sends another, "As they say, follow the white rabbit!"

As the rabbit strikes the beast, a strange interaction occurs whereby each person (save Larsis) sees a very surreal representation of a prior powerful use of numenera.

Kwiz drops into a crouch before pointing his cane at the creature and spinning it in a circle as a translucent white rabbit appears and speeds toward the beast. Just prior to hitting the creature the white rabbit disappears.


My internet connection until Monday is going to be a little sketchy. Feel free to DMPC Kwiz as needed.


Kwiz moves to follow Larsis. Tapping his cane, a flurry of lights briefly surronds Kwiz, "Ready when you are."
activate ward esotery.


Kwiz looks at the "trees" and whistles, "Those are quite interesting. What prey tell are they?"
use recognize "magic" on the trees to see if the numenera are at work.

Kwiz steps out from behind his illusion and smiles as he twirls his cane, "I think it is tea time in the forest. Let's go!"


Works for me.


Kwiz focuses on his cane and blows a small tune as a bird appears on the cane. After whispering a short message, he sends the bird to land on Larsis' ear at which point it whispers a message to Larsis "I don't know how, but that girl is controlling the scutimorph. Be careful."
use hedge magic to whisper a message to Larsis. Psychedelic Esoteries makes it take the form of an illusionary bird.


Kwiz'mie focuses on the scutimorph and the kids. Thinking to himself, Something doesn't seem right.
use "sense magic" ability to see if the numenera are at work.


Kwiz'mie smiles at Larsis' comment, "I suppose I could try to make your job a little easier." Staying behind his illusionary wall, Kwiz starts to hum a couple bars to some old tune that he heard on his glass one time. He tries to think of what he knows about these "scutimorphs".
not sure about how to do a knowledge check about a creature for tactics, ecology, etc. Intellect check1d20 ⇒ 17


Kwiz taps his cane on the ground as the air twists on the passage making it appear that there is no one within.
use Minor Illusion esotery.


Kwiz'mie tips up his hat at the old man's story, "Deaths you say? What did she see? Where was this thing last seen?"


A man with in a top hat and a purple suit comes skipping up twirling a cane. "On the birdy path I be! Greeting all I see! Hello there. How do you do? Are you following the rabbit down the hole today?" He does not wait for a reply as he approaches one of the bone hallows and whispers "I promise, obfuscate, reveal, and deny that I will do no harm." With that, he turns to his bodyguard, "Would you like to whisper something to bones? My dream brought us here but I know not how it will end. For sure, it will be fun!"


I just saw this myself.


@Larsis: I'm going to go with a musical instrument, probably some kind of flute. Mix with illusions and you get a holophoner.

This is Graynore. My submission is a Mystic Nano who crafts Illusions. Kwiz'mie walks around in a suit and top hat while carrying a sword cane. He is a bit social inept and at times laughs for no apparent reason. In his small oddity, he has seen a character called the "mad hatter" and often thinks that they are companion spirits.
