Khode's code became compromised and has evaporated.

Going to leave this one guys - I have way too much on my plate and need to pull out of some PbPs. Enjoy.

Thanks for all the help and advice guys, and I'm stoked to have had an introduction to Roll20 and to realize the ToB is really really fun.

@Havoc - still chasing those sword art pieces for Ygggdrasil...

Ok, sorry for the late change, but after checking all the available options, I changed out my feat: Weapon Focus: Greatsword for Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Bastard Sword. I've also changed my Greatsword for a Large Bastard Sword. :)

Khode ambles along seemingly unperturbed by the dread location. He hopes they find Adamant Fortress Awn soon… Shadow is a fair companion, but her ability to change shape and size does perturb him...

Khode favours Shadow with another quizzical look.

"Leh-vel faiv boss?....Yess. Let us go."

Are we anywhere near the Fortress? I can't get Roll20 at the mo...

GM, I'm just going to assume you're fine with Khode seeing as you haven't replied to my PM... ;)

Ugh. I calculated wrong:

8855 spent. (of 11,250 (10,500 + 750) starting funds)
Weapons 2455 gp.,
Armor 4400 gp.,
Magic Misc. 2000 gp.

Thanks for the advice on the boots of the cat Argus...still got 2395 left...

I have armor and weapons and a cloak of resistance...

@Hornfell - combats are over and as mentioned above we have moved to Gameplay...

Oh, I'm familiar with the Titan Mauler, just trying to work out what my options are.

So like Argus is saying, doesn't the Pathfinder iconic Barbarian Amiri wield a Large Bastard Sword in two hands? And she only takes a -2 penalty?

I don't need exotic wp to do that do I - you only need exotic wp to wield a bastard sword in one hand, right? Which I couldn't even do with a Large Bastard Sword anyway... ;)

Hang on, if Khode wields a Large greatsword in two-hands, is it only -2 to attacks?

Also noticed I haven't taken two-handed into account for bonus damage...

Nor provided myself with the Power Attack option info . I think because it is a free feat I forgot to list the attack/damage info under Offense.

Male Tiefling (Shackleborn) Picture Dreadnaught 5; HP 65/65, AC 17/T 10/ FF 17; Fort +5, Ref +1, Will +3; CMB +7, CMD 17; Per +9, Init +2; Spd 20.;

Khode is startled by the gnome carpenter until it resolves into the one he knows only as "Shadow". She does not work for them, at least not yet. He squints at her mention of these arcane terms - "levelling". Perhaps it is a grounding technique.

"Well met Shadow! Khode claps his weathered hands in the morning air. "As ever, it is a good day to die, but perhaps an even better day on which to live to see tomorrow!" Khode grins, his open countenance in sharp counterpoint to his fell purpose.

"I trek to Fortress Awn, to seek the fabled Command Stone, though in truth both fortress and stone may be but the same fable or a ruse to entice me yonder. Our good friends the Playing Killers still wish me dead. Care to accompany me? Or hast thou heard of some better sport?"

Male Tiefling (Shackleborn) Picture Dreadnaught 5; HP 65/65, AC 17/T 10/ FF 17; Fort +5, Ref +1, Will +3; CMB +7, CMD 17; Per +9, Init +2; Spd 20.;

Khode has no memory older than a few weeks. He has no friends as yet, nor boon companions or allies. He drifts, and tries to survive. As mentioned, the leaders of both Player killer/PvP factions want him dead. Khode does not know why.

Khode is not aware that there is a world outside the "game". He is not insane, nor is he truly an avatar. What he is, beyond resembling rogue AI code remains to be seen.

Male Tiefling (Shackleborn) Picture Dreadnaught 5; HP 65/65, AC 17/T 10/ FF 17; Fort +5, Ref +1, Will +3; CMB +7, CMD 17; Per +9, Init +2; Spd 20.;

The maw-thing lay twisted, its heaving and quivering form bleeding out in the frosty morn. Faint traceries of blood flecked the snow and the creature's expiration, signaled by wisps of exhaled air, was not long in coming.

Khode stamped his feet and beat the snow and blood off Sabre. He was thankful for another day in the bladelands. For whatever reason, both Mitsuhide Kaiba and Waru Emotei Tokugawa wanted him dead. That was fine with him. He'd seen their minions capitulate and melt before his adamant strikes, and he would continue to keep ahead of them. Fortress Awn stood waiting on the far horizon, and within lay the prize few dared seek - the Command Stone. Whatever it was Khode had no idea, nor any real reason to quest for it, save that it was supposedly of great interest to the town dark men that wanted him dead.

In his dreams he struggled within a whirling chaos of bright lights and dark spaces, as if his very essence were a cipher, and he but an expression of…something. Perhaps the Command Stone would unveil its secrets, and also, his own…

Wanting to rush to the aid of the colorful lasses over yonder, Khode makes a businesslike end to a goblin, but perhaps not the other...

Ok I chose Island of Blades, Leading the Attack and Bonecrusher.

The first two fit in well with a commander type, the last just fits the picture and the blade…

Island of Blades:

Casting Time: 1 swift action
Range: Personal
Target: You
Duration: Stance
You cloak yourself in a swirling nimbus of shadow energy. These shadows spin and flow around you, preventing any creature near you from being able to anticipate your attacks.
Your turn your enemies’ strengths against them, improving your combat ability as well as that of an ally. When you and a comrade move to attack an opponent, you time your attacks and position yourself to frustrate your opponent’s defenses.
If both you and an ally are adjacent to the same creature, the two of you gain the benefit for flanking that opponent. You can gain this benefit against multiple opponents at the same time, as can your allies. If both you and an ally are adjacent to the same two creatures, the two of you gain the benefit of flanking against both creatures.

Leading the Attack:

Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Melee attack
Target: One creature
Duration: 1 round

You boldly strike at your enemy. As you attack, you shout a war cry to demonstrate that victory is at hand. This attack inspires nearby allies to join the fray with renewed vigor._
When you make an attack, your allies take heart in your example and fight with renewed purpose. By stoking the fire of battle in your allies’ hearts, you inspire them to greater heroics.
As part of this maneuver, you make a single melee attack. If your attack is successful, your allies gain a +4 morale bonus on attack rolls for 1 round against the creature you hit.

Bonecrusher:

Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Melee attack
Target: One creature
Duration: See text
Saving Throw: Fortitude partial; see text

You deliver your attack, and your enemy’s eyes jerk wide open in panic as his skeleton begins to fracture in hundreds of places.
As part of this maneuver, you make a melee attack. If your attack hits, it deals an extra 4d6 points of damage. The creature struck must succeed on a Fortitude save (DC 13 + your Str modifier) or its skeletal structure becomes massively weakened, and all rolls made to confirm a critical hit against the target gain a +10 bonus. A successful save does not negate the extra damage.
This effect lasts until the target’s hit points are restored to their full normal total, whether by magical or normal healing.
Creatures without a discernible anatomy or that are immune to critical hits are immune to this maneuver’s special effect. The extra damage still applies against such targets.

Male Tiefling (Shackleborn) Picture Dreadnaught 5; HP 65/65, AC 17/T 10/ FF 17; Fort +5, Ref +1, Will +3; CMB +7, CMD 17; Per +9, Init +2; Spd 20.;

He couldn't get his toon to move sometimes. It was as if it had a mind of its own. He checked the peripherals, the connections, even resorted to reading the files again and contacting customer service. They wanted way more details than he legally had. This was annoying.

Khode was just about to ask someone where the nearest tavern was when his view shimmered, and his body pulsed strangely, discorportating disconcertingly. He tried to grab hold of something, but there was nothing to gr-…

He materialized in a grassy field, with blood curdling screams and the sound of feral combat ensuing right near him. Goblins!!! He saw a flash of other, less goblinoid colors and shapes away over to the east, but he didn't have time for that. He drew Sabre out of it's harness and charged at the nearest goblin, fueling his charge with the raw power of a juggernaut...

Chaaaaaaarge!*: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28 [BAB, +2 Str, +1 Weapon Focus, +1 enhancement, +4 Footman's charge]
Lop!: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1) + 2 = 9 plus
Bonecrusher: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 6, 2) = 13
Damage: 22 plus Fort save of DC15 or it is jellybones and all crit-confirms against it are at +10. If it is still alive...

*-2 to AC for this round due to Charging.

Bonecrusher:
You deliver your attack, and your enemy’s eyes jerk wide open in panic as his skeleton begins to fracture in hundreds of places.
As part of this maneuver, you make a melee attack. If your attack hits, it deals an extra 4d6 points of damage. So I'm just trying this out - I used Bonecrusher, now what? How long until I do it again, 2 rounds? It is 3rd level Sword Skill. Also it says it is a Standard Action to activate, and charging is a full-round action. Can I combine them?

GM - did your Cleave tweak end up staying?

GM - Oho, big boy pants is it? I think you'll find these are leather breeches of destruction!!!

@Thanks for the behind the scenes work Movin!!!

@GM - ok thanks for clarifications.

I also successfully used/logged in to Roll20.

I'll look to choose some sword skills tonight...

Ok.

So I have:

* My normal feats, which may be tweaked as per your house rules.

* I also should have 3 Sword skills at level 5 (which are ToB maneuvers), only one of which can be of level 3.

* Once enacted, these last for a number of rounds equal to half the sword skill's level. Is that right? Does that not mean each sword skill runs for 1 round at this stage? Or does recharge mean "before you can use it again", which still only means 1 round, so we have to wait a round before recharging? If so, and I have three 1st level (or two 1st, and one 3rd), then I could use one every round and each one every second round…???

* I'm still struggling ti understand just how sword skills and feats interact without clear guidelines , which also seem mutable at this stage, which is why Khode is just wandering around enjoying the world. I'm perfectly fine, and patient as is.

* Have not signed up for Roll20 yet...

The town was passing strange, there was no denying it.

Khode began to notice people running , rarely walking - they passed him at speed, without acknowledging his presence. As if on important errands and then completely disappearing.

Occasionally they would stand right in front of each other, seemingly as if in conversation but no words flowed between them. Stranger still, small pets of all kinds - mammals, crustaceans, reptiles, insects, arachnids - would materialise out of nowhere and trail their hurrying owners.

Once Khode was sure he saw his own face on another tiefling, right down to the broken horn, though dressed markedly different and minus his...signature eyepatch.

Another thing... The more he thought about it, the more he couldn't remember who his parents were, or where he was raised.

He shook such introspection to the wind. Surely there were beasts to slay and riches to be won. He was Khode, and Khode would conquer all...

Khode ambles around the gate town, occasionally seeing a flicker of … energy... floating above a passerby's head out of the corner of his one good eye. It was as if… no. He couldn't quite put his finger on it.

Almost as if there was a world beyond this. No… not... beyond. Behind. As if he...

Bah. Couldn't be. He was Khode. He was real. He patted his greatsword Sabre. See. Real as iron.

Flicker...

Ok, thanks for the headsup...

Khode snorts and breathes in. This is Mirridian Gates? Looks good. Obviously needs a bit of trade. He strides in, sure of himself and his blade. With his good eye Khode spots some likely looking raiders.

Before he finishes they have disappeared. No matter. There are always more venturers in the Bladeworld...

@GM - Fair enough - what I proposed was farm more than reskinning or reflavouring. I'll keep the agile breastplate, but reskin it as the shoulder pad/pauldron and gauntlet working together to protect him...

Still a few things to shore up, but logging in soon

Understanding it more now thx!

Further question:

My picture depicts almost no armor. Can I reskin my current armor (+1 light fortification agile breastplate) as a warding tattoo with the same mechanical bonuses? How much would it cost? The big upside would be that it would weigh nothing, and provide no ACP, so take that into account for balance. It could take up a body slot/s if you like too.

@GM:

* Thanks for the heads up on the magic armor. It is weird that weapons require Mwk first before magic but armor does not.

* Sword Art/Battle slots as a name would help for these "slots".

* So I have three of these "slots" (2 at first, 1 at 4th)? Should I avoid picking combat feats for now, or do the slots merely affect how combat feats operate/are chosen during combat?

* So far, for normal feats I have chosen Toughness. I get another feat at 3rd and another at 5th from normal character progression. These are separate and disinct from the bew "slots" right?

* I also chose Precise Strike as my Teamwork feat. Any campaign changes to that?

Confusion....
Um....lots? I'm confusing skill slots, skills, skill ranks and feats I think...
Is ok, I can watch and learn.

Is a +1, light fortification armor 4000 gp (+1 + ability equal to +1 = +2 = 4000gp) Or do I need to add mwk as well?

Eh, I'll keep it simple and go greatsword, in two hands, and occasionally fistpump with my spiked gauntlet when appropriate for plot.

@Thanks Movin.

What does this mean:

"swapping skill slots is -, swift for 1, move for 2, standard for 3, and full round for 4. "

I'm sure GM will answer these as and when he can. Or throttle me...
