I don't have the exact wording in front of me but as I recall there are three things about Wayfinders on the chronicle. 1)If this is the first time playing "PFS 5-08 The Confirmation" with any character at all then you get your Wayfinder for free, no gold cost, no prestige cost. This is true no matter what the PFS # the character is. (Ken here is my #5 and is getting his wayfinder for free because I've never played The Confirmation before now.) 2)If you have already played "PFS 5-08 The Confirmation" with another character then you must pay 1PP to get your Wayfinder. (Ajax, my #8 who right now is in another PbP Confirmation game will have to pay 1 prestige for his wayfinder if he survives (AC 19 and the DM rolls 2 20's and confirms the crit on the second one!)) 3)If this is the very first chronicle your character gets, regardless of whether or not you the player have played the confirmation, than any upgrades you what to spend prestige on for your wayfinder will cost 1 point of prestige less. (Ken will not get the discount as this is his second chronicle (First Steps Part 1 was his first), Ajax (if he lives) will get the discount, because playing in The Confirmation was the first thing I've ever done with him.) As for new purchases, you used to write the item on the bottom or the back of your chronicle and the GM who just gave the chronicle to you would intial the gold spent. (Or the GM at the start of your next game would see what you spent in between games and note that on your next chronicle. These days there is an inventory sheet witch to be honest I haven't used much because I've been away from PFS for a while (*cough* close to 3 years *oough*). I assume you record your purchases on it and either your current GM or your next one signs off on it. PbP tends (or at least tended) work on the honor system pretty much on purchases to some degree. You post what you what to buy and the GM notes the gold spent on your chronicle rather than taking the time to record each item for you on an inventory sheet. Your experience may vary.

Once everyone is gathered together Ken floods the group with positive energy. 4 Channels: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1, 4) = 10 He then casts cure light wounds twice on Janira using up his remaining first level spells for the day. 2 cure light wounds: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (4, 8) + 2 = 14

"NO!" Ken shouts seeing Janira fall. He moves quickly to Bolty's side, ignoring the terrain thanks to Desna's gift. Once there he touches Bolty's shoulder again, "My Lady's Blessing." He then shouts out to the minotaur "YOUR MOTHER SMELLS OF ELDERBERRYS!" 4 of 6 uses of Agile Feet left.

Bolty, Korosh went from 7 or 8 rounds of paralysis to just 2 as we moved from the last map to the current one. You probably reloaded either when you were moving or when we were picking up Korosh to move him. I think it's safe to say you were ready to fire when we cave out of the cave. Bethany, Korosh took all the potions from Janira's backpack and she had labeled each one clearly. Janira's potions:
potion of barkskin
potions of cure light wounds (2) potion of feather step potion of vanish Bethany and Shota I don't know if either of use can use any of Janira's scrolls or that wand she had in her pack, if you can now might be a good time.

Ken sets Korosh on the ground. Then he steps forward a little taps Bolty on the shoulder, "My Lady's blessing" he whispers. 3 of 6 uses of Bit of Luck left. Louder he says "Now would be a really good time to give Korosh a healing potion." Did we have to double move, each time before the start of combat? Because I have six channel energy's left and I could have been channeling healing energy on any rounds where we only moved 20 feet.

"Yes, I can carry him. Mask grab his feet. I'll get his shoulders. Bethany grab his pack and start looking for the healing potions he took from Janira's pack. Shota get his sword. Bolty you're on point. Let's move Janira's counting on us." Putting action to words Ken grabs Korosh up under his shoulders, and starts moving down the tunnel once Mask grabs his legs. Ken has the muscle of the society trait so that means I'm considered to have a STR of 16 for carrying capacity. I have at least another 155 pounds available before I can't move at 20 feet a round - 40 feet a round with a double move.

Earlier, immediately after the battle at the stream. Ken says "Let's see to that injury, Korosh" Ken looks it over, "Well I can see to you it's only a scratch, but no sense in letting is linger." Ken channels a burst of healing energy. Agile Feet:
Agile Feet (Su): As a free action, you can gain increased mobility for 1 round. For the next round, you ignore all difficult terrain and do not take any penalties for moving through it. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier. "There's not a lot of room to maneuver!" Ken exclaims as he tries to find a way forward to the foe. Reaching into his belt piece he grabs a coin, cast light on it and places it on the model's streets. "For the Solider," he says. He then grabs a coin of similiar value saying "and for the Merchant". Ken nods silently back at Shota, answering his unspoken question with a yes. He thinks to himself what did he mean this place's power hasn't completely faded yet? The only things we've seen here are the carvings from The History and Future of Humanity and the model of Absalom. I wonder ... Ken pulls out his his notes and reads over the section he just wrote about the wall carvings and compares it to the city model. The Soldier, The Merchant, The Tailor, and The Farmer he thinks. Ken is trying to see if there is any connection between the carvings and the city model, He has noted

Maybe I misrembered the time day the witness said he saw the criminals pay you the money. After all I'm trying to keep you alive, keep you out of jail, and keep your great work continuing, I'm not trying to get you in trouble Auntie, I'm trying to get you out. We had enough information to get a full investigation launched before we ever knocked on your door today. Child endangerment, misappropriation of charitable contributions, inappropriate child labour, it would take a lawyer to make out the full list of charges. Our trip here wasn't to convince ourselves of your guilt or innocence but to find out if you were worthy of the Silver Crusade's aid. I for my part truly believe you are worthy. The children are well taken care of and are happy. My colleague even pointed out how some of the children that being sent out to labour are learning useful skills. I admit I was pretty upset about the child labour at first, but as I thought about the learning aspect ... that has some real possibilities if we can refine .... I sorry I'm getting off track. Auntie let me stress your guilt is not in question. It doesn't even matter if you think you are guilty or not, mere suspicion can ruin a charity and see it director ruined or in jail. What we have to do now is to about getting you free of your alcohol addiction and whatever else were going to need make disappear or at least can be made to be over looked if the wrong investigators show up.

After sitting down Ken begins to speak. "First lest me assure that I myself think that you are doing an excellent job here and meeting a real need of the community. I'm personally going to do what I can to see that whatever happens, your home here remains a place were children are safe, happy, and can heal. To that end I promise to stop by at least once a week whenever I'm in Absalom or send someone in my place." Sighing, Ken leans forward and looks Ms Baldwin in the eye with compassion "Unfortunately Auntie, and I do hope you will let me call you that, you are drinking yourself to death. As I said before I've not yet had any formal training in the healing arts, but your case is so far advanced, training is not needed if one has the slightest suspicion of a problem. Suspicions which were easily gained with but the slightest bit of investigation on the parts of my colleagues and I earlier today. You see we weren't merely asked to deliver medicine today by The Silver Crusade but to determine how much of its limited resources could be devoted to help you. I do sincerely hope we can avoid jail time for you Auntie." "Now our main concerns upon coming hear today, were your drinking, your meeting with criminal elements in the middle of the night, and forced labour of the children. I think depending on the reports of my fellows we will be able to keep you out of jail. You are really doing a wonderful job here and I want that to continue." beaten to the posting punch! "There's some truth in your words. There always seems to be demands on my time that take me away from the things I would rather be doing, and I assure, Ms. Baldwin, that listening to your stories and spending time in your company is by far the most pleasant thing I've had to do today." Ken smiles warmly, and maintains eye contact with the Ms Baldwin, after all everything he just said is one hundred percent true and he can be totally sincere. "Your are right about time pressing on us however. We should go down stairs, perhaps to the kitchen or sitting room. My friends and I have to give you the medicine we brought of course and I'm afraid we have to continue our conversation. You will want to be sitting, I'm afraid their some bad news coming, tempered by good news too as I hope you'll see." |
