VERY excited - such a cool part of the world.
Some kind of sorcerer I think.
I would also like to be "in" ... but ASJ asked first, and I would be love for SodiumT to keep their slot: the remaster takes some getting used to, but it's interesting and I'm sure it would be fun for you.
GM Wolf wrote: Wishes!
Jorrast: Ring of Eloquence, it's languages are Sylvan, Elven, and two elemental languages of your choice: Ignan, Terran, Auran, Aquan.
Vandomir: Roci is now level +1, instead of level -1
Kendryl: Will you be joining the foray into Fort Drelev?!
Ulricha: Feat: Iron Will
Markus: Feat: Whirlwind attack
Xandarian: Holy Avenger as a rapier. There is going to be a lot of curses and specifications on it.
All of your wishes will be found within the fort. Well except for Zsofia's.
I am thinking Zsofia is asking for a special event to gestalt?
I am happy to join the foray, not sure if we need air support but happy to use a little lightning to clear our path
Kendryl laments that no one glazed a ham for the holidays ... and then wishes that Rociniam were actually Level +1
Semptember Virgo ... or the other one?
GM Wolf wrote: Happy Thanksgiving! That is if you celebrate it.
Bonus time: What is your favorite food for this holiday.
Sweet treat/dessert
Turkey
Stuffing
Mashed potatoes
Green beans/vegi
Deviled eggs/egg thing
Olives
The drinks
Cranberries
So I cooked for the new husband (who will also be a new American) but missed some of the above which I adore. I will say that my brussel sprouts and green beans (fresh, not campbells soup with dried onions) were both amazing. Reading Wolf's list, I will own that I would love a deviled egg right about now.
Quince Medvyed wrote: So do Xandarian's rainbow wings tuck in enough to be inconspicuous or are they just all hanging out like the X-man Angel. His wings (when they were feathery) could never tuck far enough away. They def did not, and he actually used harnesses and trenchcoats in the early, pre-Defenders days, to try to look inconspicuous. It is one of the reasons why I think one of the Hawkman reboots allowed Katar to "grow" his wings; a lot like Wolverine's claws really.
The Last Aeromancer simply wants to be Air Marshal ... but could certainly fill the role of Magister if needed. The focus on higher learning is very Vudran (and I don't want us to have a deficit in Econ either)

ALL - while I knew I would be a little slower because it was my birthday, the next 2 days of bomb threats on my work place took a little more out of me than I had planned. Please bot me as needed, I will be able to attend to my games on Sunday :)

So. Apologies to all my games.
Very very best of luck & health to you, this isn't easy, and I know.
Thankfully though, hyper tension is super treatable once they find the right medications for you; in my case, it ended up being 3 of them, but they really do help. I've had respiratory issues as well :(
Wishing you the best Lykan!
Jorrast Feorte wrote: Jorrast starts to reach for a wand but stops about a foot short. "No. The wands should go to the actual casters. I can activate them, sometimes, better than half of the time anyway. But I'll use my own flying for short distances, and then find cover to hide in and snipe the enemies with acid. Or if I have to I'll use my rapier...."
All I have access to are arcane cantrips. I think that means I'd have to use UMD for the wands, +12. But my Flight hex gives me flying for 7 increments of one minute each.
"You know friend Jorrast, I might have 1 more Winged Cloak I could spare ... you could fly with the Air Corp this day. We would welcome it."

I have no idea what lamp Jorne is talking about. I mean I know Sulvanii has a lamp but I don't understand how it could be an answer to his question.
All of sudden people were getting Elks.
I have no idea where they were going or why there's a brigade.
Quince Medvyed wrote: I think it can be a both and situation. We are players who will contribute but we are also leaders of forces and have allies in play as well.
Though an air corps raid on camped army would also be a great thing. Its been a year and I have not given the GM my wishes list yet, but wands of fly, invisibility, fireball, and wall of fire are all under the gp price limit to wishes.
;)
I still have several wishes left also - I will play around with Wands of Magic Missle at higher CLs
Interesting - I had thought 'we' were also meant to be the harassment. Given that the additional forces we have are all normal, while the modifiers will help them, they will push all of us over the top.
Now that Kendryl has the aricorp, I had intended him to bring them in as the snipers, because they can also be moved to new sniping positions rather than being rendered ineffective when the enemy has passed. But I had always intended for Kendryl to be the sky-bait as well.
This has war of attrition written all over it
I will finish a little more detail on the Air Corps today.
It is unlikely that this group will be expecting ANY long range support from above. A couple fireball wands should really help with the troll problem.
Vandomir Jarvis wrote: "I have already been assigned to the Mercenary Brigade, and it would be inappropriate to request a transfer with not even half a day in the Brigade I should think." "Ah ... thank goodness the request would be mine. I do hope you will consider it."

Vandomir will reach out to take Kendryl's hand and arm. "Ahh, a fellow aeronaut! A pleasure to meet you. While my own Rocinian is, as yet, slightly undersized for carrying me in flight, I have had a number of training flights on more mature hippogriffs in the past, and am quite in love with flight. I look forward to the day Rocinian is strong enough for the endeavor."
"Well met Vandomir, friend of the sky! Perchance I could give you a set of Wings; you & your trainee could fly separately for the time being, and join us in the Air Corps!"
Eris Northanger wrote: Zsófia Dobós wrote: Oh, sorry! I shouldn't have implied Eris has a low Charisma, since I just assumed it. I figured you were doing the same thing I do when I have a character with Charisma 7 or whatever, making her watch and have lots of thoughts but not speak much. No worries, I'm not insulted or anything. It'll be true that Eris thinks more than she talks, is brutally direct, and is something of a misanthrope (in her head at least).
But! She is prepared to be victorious if any verbal duels happen her way. So she's a Virgo! Nice!
Zsófia Dobós wrote: Eris Northanger wrote: Oh, and Eris doesn't actually have a low charisma. It's the standard issue 10. Maybe that's low for this group? Zsófia feels she needs to make a good first impression-- she wants everyone to remember that she has a title, but she doesn't want to seem stuck up about it. But I've also been enthusiastic about this game and making lots of long posts, so I wanted to make sure no one feels like I'm talking over them or hogging the spotlight. My apologies if so! No apologies needed, they're really good posts.
I just want to know where the quote from Quince about the Council came from :)

Jorrast Feorte wrote: "Strix? I've heard of them but never met one." Recognizing that the man had introduced himself as royalty Jorrast stands. He is confused that a prince had bowed to the quiet man with the maps. He bows slightly wondering about the proper procedures. "I'm sorry Prince.... Kendryl? I don't know proper etiquette. ?? And of course didn't recognize" He pauses glancing between Kendryl and Quince.
Then realizes that while he had recovered his composure Zsófia and the Prince had extended the conversation.... He continues standing, hoping to maybe just be ignored.
"Please do not be concerned Master Jorrast, it is just Kendryl, possibly Marshall some day which is much more formal. My family title hardly matters here, Jalmeray is far too far away. As are the Strix, but truly both Greenwatch and Jalmeray are more welcoming for sure. Might I ask how you came to speak Tengu though!? I will admit that I am intrigued."
and now I have not 1 but 2 posts which are gone!
Jorrat, I will re-write Kendryl's response to you, and Xan Xan the Aasimar Man I will get back to.
UGH
Zsófia Dobós wrote: Just checking I read that correctly, Kendryl-- you intended to insult Zsófia, right? :) Insult is a strong word, I had hoped it read more like poke fun. Although which of those it turned out to be would say a lot about demeanor. The interchange was pretty brilliant, thank you for that.

Zsófia Dobós wrote: Kendryl wrote: "Certainly no less amazing than a 'Lady' with a nom be plume 'sans' a body of writing under which she has used it." Zsófia politely waits for the man to finish his introduction, though her eyes narrow ever so slightly.
Kendryl wrote: "I am Prince Zephyr of Jalmeray, Air Marshal & Prime Aeromancer of Greenwatch, Scion of Ranginori ... that said, my nom de guerre is Kendryl." She picks herself up from her chair to stand next to it, and takes up her feathered cap from where she placed it earlier on the back. Briefly setting it on her head, she gives Kendryl an extremely florid bow, flourishing the cap in a series of seven circles. As she brings it forward, she bends at the waist and at the knee in a position as much like en garde as a bow. "Your highness," she says with careful precision. As she rises, she sweeps the brightly-colored plume back through the air like a riposte and hangs it again on her chair before depositing herself again in her seat.
"I hope you'll forgive me asking, Kendryl, but where exactly is Jalmeray? I'm afraid I'm a bit rusty on lands further away than the River Kingdoms." She tilts her head. "I'm sure there must be a fascinating story behind you leaving one kingdom to serve another." "A great kindness Lady, and not to be forgotten rest assured; but I also know that one of your background knows there is absolutely nothing fascinating ... about birth order. Because I know you also know that all the power and all the talent and all the passion of the planes will never change me from being a fourth son, and so I set out to find a place that needed power, talent & passion: I am proud to have landed in Greenwatch."
Kendryl smiles a rueful musing smile, "Their highnesses therefore, are my father and my older brother, long may they prosper. One day, please, accompany me to Jalmeray, and before that, walk with me to our Hall of Cartography? Jameray is located in the Obari Ocean off the coast of Nex, quite close to Quadira to the east."
Kendryl smiles again, glances around the table, notices Xandarian, and then seems to find it difficult to unnotice him.

Zsófia Dobós wrote: Zsófia looks pleasantly surprised by Xandarian's answer. "Oh! That is indeed amazing. I don't think I have ever before met someone with a divine emissary companion. You are blessed, it would seem." She involuntarily looks to the heavens in a moment of solemnity and then takes another bite of her meal.
She turns to regard the woman with the long chestnut hair. "You don't have to sit all the way over there, you know!" she calls out to her. "We don't bite. Well--" she gives the rest of the company a questioning look and continues, "Well, I don't. What's your name? Are you a member of our expedition also?"
"Certainly no less amazing than a 'Lady' with a nom be plume 'sans' a body of writing under which she has used it."
There had been an ever so slight breeze across the room that seemed to ruffle the curtains at the window nearest Quince.
The rakishly good-looking new comer appeared seemingly out of nowhere, and smiled at the assembled before bowing to the Lord Commander.

"I am Prince Zephyr of Jalmeray, Air Marshal & Prime Aeromancer of Greenwatch, Scion of Ranginori ... that said, my nom de guerre is Kendryl."
"So pleasant to meet you all tonight!"
Turning to Vandomir, "Quite possibly, the Strix to whom you were referring may simply not have understood two-dimensional humour. Fliers do tend to see things differently. Well, maybe not the part about harassing the Chellish, I think everyone sees that quite clearly."
20 Wings of Flying = 540000gp = 21.6 wishes (22)
INT -- 20 > 23 = 3 wishes
CHA -- 20 > 23 = 3 wishes
Fleet *2 = 2 wishes
6 remaining
aaaaaaaaand just so that Kendryl knows; is 8th level coming any time soon?

Wish me luck - this hurricane is really happening :(
May I get a reminder on how many wishes to raise an attirbute?
A big raise, like 20 to 21 or 21 to 22
Yes exactly, Vice General and also Vice Mage-Person
20 Wings of Flying = 540000gp = 21.6 wishes (22)
Fleet *2 = 2 wishes
12 Remaining

If I remember correctly. You can up your stats but I forget what limits he put on this but depending on how much you want it can be pretty substantial.
You can also wish for magic items up to 25k gp. You can combine enchantments but the gold piece cost of the second is double. But the final item must cost less than 25k gp.
** spoiler omitted **
He also allows some stacking of wishes but those are best asked for individually.
Sooooooooooooo if I take Craft Wondrous Item and I already have Fly, could I use 1 wish to cover the 27,000gp cost per item?
I could make an Air Corp Squadron consisting of 2 flights of 10 Corpsmen.
A dream come true for the last of the aeromancers!
(and 16 wishes left to become even more nimble) How many wishes = an additional feat? AND I still need an answer on the Wish = 27K gps of crafting materials
(I'm really only asking, I could use an 11th wish for the difference)

An actually 12 months AND 36 wishes? Like I can go through all of the crafting rules and figure out how many flying items that could create? Actually have the Air Corps!? That is insanity!!!

GM Wolf wrote: To get your minds adjusted:
Greetings, my liege lords! Would that I had the opportunity to contact
you via missive in gentler times. Since its founding, Tatzlford has
faced many challenges, but recent rumors of a much more disturbing
sort abound. A woman has come to Tatzlford bearing warnings that, if
they are to be believed, indicate we may face a terrible threat. She speaks
of armies of bandits, hordes of barbarians, and worse organizing to the
west beyond Hooktongue Slough. To date we have had no trouble with
these elements, but this woman is quite convincing. She tells us an army is
marching on Tatzlford. If this is true, we will need your aid in defending
our homes. Please come as soon as you can.
—In good faith, your obedient and humble servant, Mayor Loy Rezbin
"My lord Quince, apologies, we do not yet have an Air Corp: but with all the love I have, it would be preposterous for these masses of humanoids to be invisible. Let us go to Tatzleford, and then I will fly west. If there is indeed a mass of creatures marching, I will see it."
RL has had me a touch absent also team, apologies.
Give me a few minutes to catch up.
If my perception of elapsed time is correct, all the other fliers should be grounded now (unless we want to say that there were backup casters at the ready to recharge them)
"To Oak Street then, to rain down lightning when the advance is halted." Kendryl takes off and can quickly see where the enemy is massed, unable to advance.
and if someone can get me the specs for the Call Lightning Wand, we can blow some people up

Quince Medvyed wrote: Just a quick note. The Baron in character knows far more of the realities of the city and its defenses than the Baron's player. None of these matters have been fleshed out in any real detail.
I have been uncomfortable with this for the entire battle. As a player I am guessing, asking if my ideas work as we go and using previous abstract knowledge of "we have guards," "we have a militia" and so on.
That in character vs out of character knowledge problem is really working against me here. I haven't give a lot of orders as Baron to other players cause for most of the fight we have been split up. I have been on the wall with the bulk of the defenders where my magic items boost them and so far using the defenses of the walls and such seemed reasonable.
In short if I as a player felt I had the whole picture of what's going on around me, which I don't and if I knew the extent of the resources that we actually have I might be offering more "orders."
Also prior to us being back together I was very comfortable with people's choices. I was rallying and buffing defenders. Lykan was scouting and Kendryl was flying around hopefully raining death down on our enemies.
I will begin raining more death ...
The problem we had was that he needed to make sure the rest of the Air Corps escaped because their flight time was so limited.
I will also republish his character sheet to you: you should tell him where you want him to cast Holy Smite, you should tell him who to cast Aid on also.
GM Wolf wrote: Excellent, it is good to hear you will have some more free time!
So no word from Dinenen.
It looks like it is just the four of us with Kendryl kinda lurking.
The "Baron" is welcome to give direction ... does anyone have some firepower to spare? Wand of Magic Missles maybe?
Def here - I also have 3 days off starting tomorrow :)
GM Wolf wrote: I know it's scattered, though I like to play organically, seeing how you act and react to it.
Let's bring everyone together... at least the PCs...
I have done best to relay what those on the walls see and spoilers with those in combat.
Kendryl how long will you fly away from town?
Lykan are you amongst the trees? Among the enemy army? You initially were next to the white haired elf and his army with fire walls to your back.
Truthfully, Kendryl forgot we had a billion Walls of Fire ... because if he flew threw one, all of those bugs should fizzle and pop like a bug zapper. Kendryl should probably turn around.
I am here ... but I am not sure what Kendryl needs to do. He flew out to address what he thought were the leaders or "captain(s)" of this force. It wasn't though.
GM Wolf wrote: ** spoiler omitted ** Once Kendryl is sure that the swarm is focused on him, he will fly after the Wind Wardens to bring the swarm with him.
"Wind Wardens, FLY! Fly to the heart of their forces! If this dungheap needs to feed her 'children', we will give them a feast! FLY!"
Kendryl watches just long enough to ensure the Wind Wardens of Greenwatch head to the walls, then inverts, flying backwards, to bid farewell to the bug 'w'itch - "You know that I'm not from here, right? You know that I will be serving your delicious children, right? I certainly knew you liked me, right away, but this!? Helping me with dinner!? It's almost love ... there will be more inago no tsukudani than anyone has EVER seen!
Intimidate: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17
Lightning Lance: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 214d6 + 5 ⇒ (5, 3, 6, 2) + 5 = 21
